Scene 11 - Tiki in Marinette's Room

Marinette lay face down in her pillow, an anxious groan escaping her mouth.

Tikki had not been sure how Marinette would react to Chat Noir's true identity, and it seemed like she was not taking it well. Tikki tried to cheer her up, zipping up to Marinette's bulletin board pinned with pictures of her crush.

"Chat Noir is in love with Ladybug! That means he is in love with you! You can finally openly show your love for Adrien!" Tiki exclaimed.

Marinette did not look excited as she should be.

"It's not that simple, Tikki." Marinette moaned. "I'm in love with Adrien, but I don't love Chat Noir. They are like two completely different people! Was I in love with Adrien? Was Chat Noir the real Adrien? Who was the real Adrien?"

Tikki had thought it was obvious that Marinette was in love with both Adrien and Chat Noir, but then again, Tikki was not an expert on human love and relationships.

"You should talk to Alya," she suggested.

"That's impossible, she knows I'm Ladybug. She doesn't need to know that Adrien is Chat Noir, It would be very dangerous"

Tikki sighed. Alya would be able to give better advice than her.

Marinette turned over in bed and gave Tikki an accusatory look.

"Tikki!" she shouted. "You knew! You knew this whole time that they were the same person, and you let me go on pining over Adrien."

"Well, yes," Tikki replied. "That's what you asked me to do, Marinette."

Marinette put her head back in her pillow.

"But you could have told me," she whined, "that I was wasting my time on Adrien."

Tiki tilted her head in surprise.

"Were you wasting your time?" she asked. "Do you not love Adrien anymore?"

Marinette looked at Tikki. She was holding back tears.

"I can't, Tikki," she breathed out, her voice trembling. "I can't be in love with Chat Noir."

But she was! Tikki was fully aware of everything that went on while Ladybug was transformed. She knew Marinette cared deeply about Chat Noir.

"It's late, Marinette. You should get some rest. You'll feel better in the morning."

"Maybe you're right, Tikki"

"I usually am."
