Chapter 2: Serena's Origins

The date is February 1st. We look over a sunny day at the small town of Vanville taking place in the Kalos region, an exotic place filled with new species of Pokemon. Here at Vaniville Town, a few homes are spotted around, but the one that we must hover over is the large house filled with 5 windows on the front, a large entrance under an alcove. The yard of the house has much wide space to play in as well, with the large tree on the side and a little house for a Pokemon to sleep in, specifically, a Rhyhorn making some snoring noises signaling its sign of sleep.

We see a 25-year old woman with brown hair and blue eyes wearing a dark blue shirt and a light green skirt walking into the house after feeding the guard Rhyhorn and takes a breather as she sits down on a nearby chair to rest for a bit as she looks down her growing belly with her soon-to-be child inside. This woman's name is Grace Yvonne, a famous person within modern Kalos news headlines as a champion of Rhyhorn Racing for the past 5 years. Grace has been pregnant for about 9 months and is reaching towards the end of her pregnancy with her belly being larger than usual.

She rubs her belly smoothly back and forth awaiting for the kicks to be signaled of the baby's awakeness. She also begins to talk to the little one. "Hello, baby. Are you nestling nicely in there?" Grace smiles with a little excitement running through her mind just to know that she's getting closer to her due date.

After getting married with her husband, the talk came up between the two of them on whether or not deciding to have a kid to raise themselves. Grace likes the idea of having children with her nature of caring and responsibility shown as a young adult, but her husband was a little skeptical about having children as he had no experience under the care of a child. Grace ever thought if she did end up becoming pregnant, she would help her husband on the road to becoming a great father and that they were in it together to raise the perfect child they could think of.

So, after some time, Grace was confirmed to be pregnant and now here we are, almost 9 months later after Grace's pregnancy began, it was coming to an end with the nearly expectant parents taking a little preparation for themselves becoming parents.

After making a few cooing sounds to her nearly born child, Grace hears the door opening at the front, and she notices her husband, a tall man with blonde hair with brown eyes wearing a business suit with a red tie, and wearing long pants to go with the attire.

"Ah, Charles, honey. Had a long day at work?" Grace asked her husband.

"Yes, and an exhausting one. One of the men got yelled at for doing something on their job and nearly got themselves fired. I almost got caught doing the overtime schedule and after spending long hours with the data typing onto the computer." Charles explained, wiping part of his forehead from some sweat he worked up. "But it's still worth all that time, because I get to see the little one here." The soon-to-be father kisses Grace's belly in order for the unborn child to feel inside.

Grace giggles a little upon feeling that kiss as a greeting to their nearly born kid. "So, has the child kicked today?" Charles asked.

"Only once while you were gone. Little thing's been a deep sleeper so far for today." Grace looks down at her belly, rubbing it to feel the child inside. Just after that question does get answered, Grace felt her stomach kicking, which would be the baby's actions to know of its awakeness. "Oh, hello there, baby. Finally up today?"

"Looks like it was super excited to see me!" Charles chuckled.

"How would the baby know that it's you? He or she can't see you yet!" Grace smirked at her husband. "For all I know, it could be me giving out those kisses!"

"Since when? You've been trying to feel its activeness all day!" Charles chuckled a little louder.

"Whatever. I'm going to cook some dinner for us tonight. Sit on the couch as long as you want to figure out the gender." Grace gets up from the chair and walks into the kitchen turning on the stove to cook dinner for the night.

For months during the pregnancy, it always came to be a mystery whether or not both Grace and Charles wanted to know the gender of their child. One visit to the doctor, and their doctor knew of the gender of the baby. But as soon as the question came up to both expecting parents, it was only a moment for them until they decided to let it become a surprise since it is their first child. Months later, since the child is close to birth soon, they will get their answer of it being a boy or a girl.

Later that night…

It was midnight, February 2nd. Both Grace and Charles are sleeping soundingly in the bedroom. Grace does feel some uncomfortableness around her body due to the development of the baby. Grace has been sleeping either left or right to make herself comfortable for the night, but not much was working for her due to the very late development of her baby.

The 24-year old woman tries to get up from her bed, but a contraction prevented her making it feel difficult to move around. After that doozy of a contraction, Grace was able to sit up from the bed and lay a hand on her belly. Grace begins to talk to her unborn baby quietly without waking up her husband sleeping resoundingly beside the other side of the bed.

"Hey, little one. You don't want to sleep peacefully tonight with mommy?" Grace feels another kick in her stomach making that the response of her baby. "I'll take that as a yes."

The soon-to-be mother continues to make some humming sounds to her unborn baby for the next few minutes until Grace feels the strangest feeling to her, very much inside of her. It feels very liquidy and squishy. She stands up from the bed, and it feels like something's leaking inside of her. Only one word can come out of her mouth: "Uh-oh."

The woman rushes to her husband and shakes him violently, waking him up tiredly. "Charles, Charles!"

The man wakes up and sees Grace in a rushing mood feeling the shakiness from Grace's actions. "Honey, what is it?"

"My water broke! The baby's coming!" Grace shouted. Her husband's reaction is a pale one, and his eyes are widened. He did not expect for this moment to come up now. He and Grace were about parents.

"Wait, really? At this time?"

"Yes! Let's get in the damn car to the hospital!" She shouted, causing a bit of nervousness to her husband.

Both Grace and Charles rush out of the house and into the car to drive a quick 20 minutes down to the Lumiose Hospital while the entire ride has Grace feeling heavy breaths and contractions throughout.

Lumiose City Hospital

After explaining to the front doctor about Grace's labor, she was settled in a delivery room where it is about 1 am. She and her husband stayed up for the night, but it was getting to be difficult for Grace to sleep well during the need of her baby becoming born within the matter of hours. Luckily enough, her husband has been helping her throughout these late hours.

Several hours later, 7 am, after some checking with the condition of the labor, it was time. Grace is ready to become a mother. The delivery room was filled with large amounts of yelling which Charles never ever heard his wife screaming this loudly. But soon after, a new life was born.

The room is then filled with newborn cries as a tired Grace looks upon seeing for the very first time, her child. The new mother has her eyes filled with some tears enjoying the very first minute parenting..

"Mr. and Mrs. Yvonne, you are now the parents of a healthy, bright-looking girl!" The doctor said, handing off the newborn to her which is covered in a little, soft, pink blanket with her eyes closed quietly taking her very first nap of her life.

"Thanks…" Grace softly cried.

"I'll leave you two alone with the baby." The doctor leaves the room giving the parents their very first moment together with their newborn child.

The two parents look at each other for a bit before looking down at their peaceful, quiet baby. The baby is shown to have little to no hair which is colored to be honey blonde, very similar to Charles' hair.

"Oh…honey. She has your hair, though I can see little of it." Grace cooed at the child.

Charles chuckles by the little heritage given to his newborn daughter. "I bet she has your eyes as well once she wakes up."

Grace begins to chuckle, but not as much compared to Charles, due to the tiredness giving birth. She then gives a kiss to her husband on the lips which he returns gladly enough despite how sweaty her face looks. "Thank you. Thank you for giving us the best child we could ever have."

"The best? Grace, we don't even know her yet." Charles gives his wife a smirk on the face.

"Oh shut up. All I know is that she's going to grow up becoming the girl that I dream about…following my own path." Grace said, looking at her baby.

A minute later, the doctor comes back into the room and begins asking Grace and Charles. "Hello. So, have you two decided on a name yet?"

Both parents look into each other for a bit of thought before looking away and answering the question. "Hmmm…well, what do you think, honey? Do we have a name?"

Grace continues to look into her daughter's sleeping form and a moment later, a name pops into her head. "Serena."

"What?"

"That's our daughter's name. Serena. Just look at her, she's peaceful and quiet while sleeping, and it's a romantic name, don't you think?" Grace explained to her husband.

"Serena. I love that name. It's so perfect for a beautiful girl right here." Charles softly rubs the small tufts of hair on Serena's forehead. "Serena, it is."

"Okay, I'll send you the birth certificate for a young baby named Serena Yvonne. Thank you for giving me your input on the name." The doctor leaves once more giving the parents their privacy.

Both parents smile at Serena, now happy and satisfied with the baby's name. "Hello, Serena. Welcome to the world of Pokémon. I hope we can be the best parents to you as you grow up. Just know we love you already." Charles whispers to Serena before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Serena still sleeps peacefully and quietly to both parents as they are adored by her silent nature of falling asleep. From that point onwards, both parents took care of Serena and have been proud to raise her in a polite manner.

1 month later…

It has been a month since Serena was born and we look into the kitchen area as we see Grace cradling the infant in her arms with a smile on her face. Serena, this time around, is actually a little more awake than when she was born as her eyes are stared at her mother while she's being cradled. As it turns out, Charles was right about her eyes being taken hereditary of Grace's eyes, the perfect combination of the two. An additional thing, Serena also grew a little more hair than when she was born with making it a little more visible of her honey blonde hair shown.

As Grace humbles a nice, little, nursery song to Serena, she begins to realize that her infant daughter's birth happened a month ago, and thinks about how it went by so quickly. She even speaks to the little girl about this quick change in time.

"Serena…I can't believe it's been a month since you were born, darling. Me and your father are so happy to have you in our lives so far within a month of your life." Grace whispers to her one month infant. The baby giggles softly at her mother's bright smile on her face.

Over the course of one month since Serena's birth, Grace and Charles have been taking some well done care for her. Last minute touches to Serena's nursery room were made just a bit after she was born, and she's been kept as a healthy little girl sharing a bunch of giggles around the house. Both parents couldn't help but always be adored by their child, and they have each other to thank for bringing life to a honey blonde ray of sunshine.

Grace continues singing the little nursery song to Serena until her husband walks through the door, tired and home from work.

"Charles! Another stressful day, dear?" Grace asked.

"Wouldn't believe it. This time, it's more of a piss day for myself. I get yelled at, even for something that isn't even my own fault! This is getting really annoying to me…" Charles puts his tie off his suit and sets it back on the tie tack next to the doorway. He walks over straight to his wife and sees his daughter cuddled up in her arms. "But at least there's this sweetie pie here! How are you doing, baby girl?" Charles tickles his daughter a bit with his fingers on her stomach, and the honey blonde infant begins to giggle wildly.

"Who's my little girl? You are! You are!" Charles softly giggles while his infant daughter continues to laugh adoring him to pieces. "At least stress is being taken away from this cutie!" Charles also leans to his wife's cheek kissing her, which he never got to do his greeting after being excited seeing his daughter.

"I do wish to spend the time off like you with our daughter. I love her already! It's just that work already gives me some stress being dealt with by myself, especially if I don't do my job right, when considerably, I am." Charles said, turning him down with some guilt on his face shown.

"Oh…sweetie." Grace feels her husband's pity, and she gives him a kiss on the cheek to make him feel better despite all hell hours being at the computer workplace being bored of himself. The mother tries to figure something out to work with Charles' situation, that is, until an idea was brought up to her and his' attention.

"That's it!"

"What?" Charles asked.

"We need to move." Grace pitches her idea to her husband.

"What?! Move, really?" Charles asked, in a surprised tone. Clearly, this wasn't the idea that he'd expect to come out of Grace's mouth. To him, a move just seems sudden to him, don't you think? They recently became parents having their first child, and Grace comes with the idea of moving.

"Yes, maybe we can leave here for a change to give our little one some fresh air to breathe upon, and a better place to raise, and for you to be in a less stressful workspace. For me, it's been a month since Serena was born, so I will go back to doing Rhyhorn races." Grace explained.

Charles gives a little moment to think before he speaks up to his wife. "Are you sure? I mean, we just had Serena recently. Always thought this should be her home, even built up the nursery room for her."

"Well, maybe when she gets older, she'll still remember this being her first home. It may have only lasted a month, but with your job and Serena getting adjusted to life, I'm doing what's best for the two most favorite people in my life. I love you, honey." Grace said, before looking over to her infant daughter. "And I love you too, little one." The caring mother kisses her baby's forehead causing her to giggle lightly.

"So, what do you think? Best idea or not?"

Charles spends a few minutes thinking of Grace's idea to move. One hand, as he mentioned, they did recently become parents. Moving to another ideal place is another large thing to add to their marriage, especially with a month old infant. On the other hand, as his wife also mentioned, he will be in a better workplace to reduce stress, and they'll introduce their newborn daughter to a new region, so to him, pros can beat out the cons for this ideal thought.

"You know what? We should move. I do like your thinking, sweetheart. One month of bringing our child into the world, and you're already becoming such a wise mother. How did I end up falling in love with a woman like you?" Charles puts both of his hands on his wife's shoulders and kisses her cheek.

Grace chuckles softly with a slight blush on her face. "Well, honey, looks like one thing is to be said with those interesting words of action: Flattery will get us somewhere."

Charles does have a question in mind since Grace never did bring up the location upon this idea. "So, um, where do you exactly have planned to have us and Serena move to?"

"Oh, a region that would feel natural to her environment and is the second best place filled with Rhyhorns around the land." Grace answered. Her husband doesn't get the exact picture of the region she's describing, but surely though, once he gets the picture, it's a good idea for him.

1 month later…

Another month later, and the house is less crowded around as it is very much empty with only a few boxes left to pack in the car. Grace looks around the house just noticing how empty it is. It took 1 month for the married couple to move everything out of the house into packing. Even from the newly made nursery room for Serena who has now grown into 2 months old from the birth.

Of course, with no mention, Serena is still being carried by her mother as she's taking a quiet nap in her soft, cuddly, blanket covering her body. Serena might not remember this home when she gets older, but it's for the better, a better environment to be raised in, and for her father, who also quit his job a couple weeks ago while the packing has been in motion.

After the final few boxes have been packed up, both Grace and Charles say goodbye to their home and are ready to fly into their new home to raise their child at. Boarding a flight at Kalos airlines at the Lumiose City Airport, this would be the first ever flight that Serena has boarded on. During the flight, the infant takes a peek out the window after Grace shows her. The high skies of the Pokemon world can be a bit breathtaking, but for Serena, with a girl running an imagination on her head, she laughs for a bit to know that they're flying, for real, on a large expensive plane.

After an hour of flight, the 2 month infant is asleep with Grace cuddling her, and humming to her ensuring a nice sleep for her baby daughter. Charles looks at his daughter sleeping peacefully, and he's adored by the smile on her face. He loves Grace being such a great mother by far for the past 2 months.

Another hour later, the flight comes to an end while the parents end up at Viridian City Airport. Yep, the two decided to raise Serena in the Kanto region, along with Charles settling a new job around as well. It was also nighttime in the region, given how the two regions are a bit far apart from each other. It was the start of a new life together, at least literally, for Serena, despite being both young and healthy at 2 months old.

Pallet Town

Both Grace and Charles bought a rental car all the way down to Pallet Town driving to their new home that they purchased recently to live in. This was Grace's idea to raise their child in a peaceful small town like this one. It's a small neighborhood to live in, but it's the best decision to start out to raise their child while Kalos is crowded with many.

The two walk into the two-story house for the first time, and my, how pleasant it is for them to walk in for the first time. It's such a lovely home that the two can live in raising Serena. Of course, Charles does need to fix up the upstairs nursery room for Serena to sleep in her cradle.

2 months later…

2 months have passed by, and we see both Grace and Charles watching TV together as they relax while the 4 month old Serena is still asleep in the new Nursery room upstairs. Packing for the two of them happened to grow progress over time, and within a couple of weeks, the two finally were able to complete setting everything up to live in the home. Another couple of weeks also involves Charles building up Serena's nursery room upstairs which was about the same time that he did previously before she was born while Grace was approaching the birth.

Serena, on the other hand, she's been sleeping with her parents each night while her crib gets built. Some nights, she tends to cry for some time while Grace tends to soothe her with her charming melody of sleepiness, and then others, it's a peaceful night with the parents being offered a deep sleep.

Today, however, it's a cute day for the Yvonne household, as both parents have their arms around their necks relaxing with one another watching TV together, when…

"WAHHHHHHH!"

"Uh-oh. Our daughter needs us." Grace said, holding up the baby monitor flashing red signaling the loud pitch noises of Serena's baby cries.

Charles gets up from his seat and tidies up the lower part of his shirt for it being a little messy after relaxing with his wife. "I'll greet her a good morning and have her see you in a minute, darling."

Grace giggles at her husband's words and kisses his cheek before he leaves upstairs.

Upstairs, Charles walks into his baby daughter's room, and it's almost like the room he designed to make back at Kalos, which gives Serena a laughter feeling of love inside of her. The walls are painted pink around, a giant wall decal depicting a Teddiursa holding onto baby blocks, and a rocking chair for Grace to sit in to sing to Serena whenever she needs to. It has been sometime since the birth, but Grace has occasionally been speaking Kalos to her while sitting on that rocking chair. She's been waiting for the day when her baby child's first words are in Kalosian, even if she's not too fond of the language.

Charles greets his baby daughter laying on the crib still crying loudly as the father begins to shush her and carries her onto his arms. "Oh, oh, baby girl. Good morning. It's me, your father."

Charles' whispering talk to his daughter calms Serena down as she notices her father under her care. The little honey blonde girl is stretching her arms out to her father in a reaching way while making some babbling noises. "Oh, do you want a hug from daddy?" Charles gives a soft hug to his daughter which brings him upon a smile on his face already enjoying another day of his life as a father. "What do you say we go downstairs and greet mommy?"

Charles walks downstairs holding Serena in his arms as he arrives in the kitchen seeing Grace make breakfast for the family. "Okay, darling, say hello to mommy."

Grace turns around from the stove and is greeted with a smiling Serena in her husband's arms. "Oh, my little one. Avez-vous bien dormi? Maman prépare un délicieux petit déjeuner." Grace lays a few fingers on Serena's stomach to tickle her causing the 2 month old to giggle.

"Honey, what did we say about teaching our daughter Kalosian?" Charles asked his wife.

"Oh, come on, I'd still love to hear our daughter's first words. She should learn the Kalos language that I've been speaking for a long time now." Grace said, cooking her breakfast as she flips pancakes on the pan.

"But we're in Kanto now, not Kalos anymore. You know that we're raising our daughter here, and this was your idea. We're doing this for the family, just to raise the perfect balance for all of us." Charles rebutted to his wife.

Grace puts down her spatula and begins to raise a tone of voice to her husband. She is surely snapped by Charles' statement. "So what if we weren't meant to live here?! You know, Charles, maybe you don't know this too, but living here was also my way of giving our daughter a little cultural difference. She doesn't have to always look at Kalos culture for where we lived, but rather, we put her in the best environment possible and I just want to be a good mother raising my daughter to what she wants to be!"

Charles was taken a little back by his wife's outburst and still continues to stare at her as she continues the shouts. "I've been a Rhyhorn racer since my early adult days. 5 years and I'm still champion to this day. The moment I figured out that I was pregnant with our little one, there was a big hope inside of me that when I see her grow up, past 10 years old, she would be like me, a Rhyhorn racer. One who can often pass the skills to her youngest one. Serena's been born for more than 2 months now, and I'm not giving up until I achieve success by seeing my daughter feel happy of becoming a champion racer like me."

Charles looks over besides his wife and notices the burnt pancakes on the pan. "Um…honey…breakfast."

Grace looks over to her burnt breakfast, and then she grabs Serena from her husband's arms and handles under care. "You know what? Stay here, and just think for a moment. Don't even bother following me and the little one for the next few hours."

"Where are you going?"

"To breakfast!" Grace closes the door, shutting her husband being the only person in the house. Charles sits back down to the couch and puts his hands on his cheeks to think what went wrong earlier.

Pallet House

Grace and Serena enter a local restaurant in the small town of Pallet, Pallet House. She sits up on a seat next to the window of orders while holding the little one in her arms. It wouldn't be until a minute later, Grace is greeted by a middle aged woman, with auburn hair, and one of the most charming smiles on her face.

"Hello! Oh, who's this little one?" The woman asked, greeting Grace in the restaurant.

"Oh, this is my daughter, Serena. She's a young 2 month old." Grace said.

"Oh, how cute! You know, I'm actually an expectant mother." The woman said, as she showed her body revealing the grown belly.

"Oh my. How far are you?" Grace asked, surprised.

"8 months. Soon, I'm going to have a little one myself too!" The woman said, getting a little excited for the upcoming birth.

"Ah, how pleasant. Are you the owner of the restaurant?" Grace asked.

"Yes, I'm Delia Ketchum. I'm the owner of the restaurant, do you have an order to make?"

"Ah, yes. Maybe some tuna melts for me? My little one just needs to be fed with some milk with her bottle." Grace said, as she held up the baby bottle to Delia.

"Coming right up!" Delia said, as she works in the kitchen making Grace's food.

A few minutes later, Delia comes back with Grace's breakfast as the mother cuddles Serena softly while feeding her bottled milk. "Thank you!"

Delia nods at Grace, giving her a smile on her face. She decided to accompany the mother since she adores Serena in her arms.

"Hey, do you mind if I hold her for a bit?" Delia asked.

"Oh, not at all. Here. Please be careful." Grace said as she hands off the baby to Delia while also giving her the baby bottle to the very soon expectant mother.

"Aw, she's so cute!" Delia cradles Serena in her arms while feeding her the bottle. "So, is this how a mother's supposed to take care of their own child? You give them good milk feedings, and even the diaper changes?"

"Yes, and the diapers, I never thought that my little girl would be so stinky." Grace chuckled a bit. "I always make sure that my daughter is under proper care. When she was born, I was pleased to hear that she was a healthy little thing."

"Aww. How cute. I wonder if my little one will become healthy during birth too." Delia said, looking down on her grown belly.

"Are you expecting a boy or a girl?" Grace asked.

"Actually, my husband and I want to keep it as a surprise. This is our first child together, so we like to keep it a surprise to know what our baby will be." Delia answered. She lets go of the baby bottle as Serena drinks it all down to her stomach.

"Okay, now you have to give her pats on the back in order to make her burp. That's how she'll be able to swallow after feeding." Grace instructed.

Delia gives soft pats on Serena's back preventing any harm to her, making sure she swallows all of the milk being fed. After a few pats or so, Delia hears the burps coming out of Serena's mouth and she laughs as her own reaction. "Aw, your little one is so cute!" She gives Serena back into Grace's arms.

"Thanks. I hope your little one will be as cute as Serena." Grace said.

"Oh, I hope so. I'm taking maternity leave in a few weeks. My husband and I have been preparing to make our home suitable for the baby." Delia said, right before feeling a kick on her stomach. "OH!"

"What happened?" Grace asked.

"Speaking of which, it looks like the little one is awake." Delia said, as she looked to her belly seeing a bit of movement on the inside. "Hello, baby. How are you doing?"

Grace looks over to the expectant mother and finds herself adored by the conversation with Delia's unborn baby. It really reminds herself when she used to be pregnant with Serena.

"You know, I used to talk to Serena like that too when I used to be pregnant with her. I always had pleasant conversations with her before she was born. I know she was waiting for the time to be born. You're on the cusp of becoming a mother yourself, and you know, we'll be great mothers together in the future. Would you like to get in contact with me?"

"Oh sure! I'd be happy to get along with you! Maybe you can give me more tips on being a great mother!" Delia said, as she grabs out a small piece of pen and paper writing something down before giving it to Grace.

Grace looks at the piece of paper and notices Delia's phone number being shown on there. "Remember that I am always here too since this is my restaurant, and you're more than welcome to enter my home. I'd be happy to have a friend of mine over. You're not from far, are you?" Delia asked.

"Oh, no, we live here, probably a few blocks away." Grace said. "But you know, you're also welcome to me and my husband's home too."

"Oh, well thank you! Now if you excuse me, I'll be taking others' orders!" Delia said, winking at Grace as she moved back into the kitchen.

Yvonne Household

Grace and Serena walk back into the house as the wife notices her husband sitting on the couch continuing to watch TV quietly.

"Hello, dear." Grace said, greeting her husband.

Charles gets up from the couch and walks over to his wife kissing her on the cheek. "Hey honey." The man bends down to see his daughter smiling happy in her carriage giggling at the sight of her father. "Hello, cutie! Have you been good with mommy?"

"Oh, she's been good! In fact, we met an interesting person at the diner." Charles' eyes begin to stare in wonder to hear what his wife is talking about.

"This woman, I was asking for an order, and she's actually a pregnant woman." Grace explained.

"Really? How pregnant?"

"8 months. She's actually close to giving birth soon within a little more than a month." Grace answered.

"Wow! That's exciting. What's her name?" Charles asked.

"Delia Ketchum. Her name sounds familiar, but I'm not sure why." Grace said, being left in wonder to think of the name.

"Wait! Ketchum? As in Red Ketchum? Her husband's the Kanto champion!" Charles exclaimed to his wife.

From hearing her husband's words, Grace's mind was taken back to realization. "That's why! I thought it sounded so familiar! So, she's the owner of a restaurant, and her husband's a well-known Pokémon battler!"

"Yes, was Red at the diner, too?" Charles asked.

"Actually, no, just Delia. I gave her a few tips on becoming a mother herself and even let her take care of Serena for a few minutes. She did a good job burping her after she fed her." Grace said.

"Wow, I can tell she'll be a good mother in the future." Charles chuckled. "Anyways, while you are gone, I've been thinking of our family, and honey, I get it. You're doing what's best with our daughter too, but we're her parents. We must look out for her own happiness. I mean, as of now, she can't speak yet, and when she does, her own decisions will be made. It's okay to train her with Rhyhorn racing, but maybe one day…she'll find her own place in the world."

Grace stares at her husband with a way of words. From the day she married him, she knew that his way of words entices his wife. The vows, speeches at his job, and even now, Grace knew that she married the right man.

"You're right, honey. I'm also sorry for snapping during breakfast time. You know that sometimes, I can be a caring mother. I may have been a little overreacting just thinking about our daughter and how much I love her. Other than you, there's no one else that I love in the world other than with her. And now…I love you. I have loved you since the day we first dated each other." Grace lays a hand on her husband's cheek and kisses his lips which he gladly returns. "Thank you, for giving me the child we always wanted."

Charles blushes and chuckles at his wife. "Heh. We'll make things work, sweetie. We're a family now. And we got to do what's best for all of us."

"Good. Why don't you sit down, and later, I'll change our daughter's diapers?" Grace asked.

"Sure." Charles leaves the kitchen with one more kiss to give to his wife before heading to the living room as Grace takes Serena upstairs to the nursery room.

Upon arriving at the nursery room, Grace begins to change her daughter's diapers and she begins to think in her mind while changing.

"Oh, Serena. I love you so much, dear. I do hope one day, you'll follow my footsteps, and you'll become a great Rhyhorn racer like me."
