9:35 a.m.

It is now time for recess, and all the kindergarten classes are out playing; whether it'd be on the playground, on the blacktop (playing ball or with toys or chalk), or by the picnic tables. Some of the kids from the other classes have overheard the fiasco in Room 1, and are crowding around Sonic and Charlie, asking or more likely, demanding autographs.

"For the last time," Charlie says to the kids. "I don't know how to write my name!"

"Don't worry, Charlie," Barbra responds to the light blue rabbit. "I can teach you. My mom taught me everything about writing." Or at least as much as a five-year-old should know.

Sonic butts in and tells her, "You should teach me, too."

Barbra smiles. "I'll think about it."

Just then, a male yellow fox runs over to the three aquantances. He has brown eyes and a white furry muzzle, and is wearing a brown polo shirt, light blue shorts, and black and white sneakers. He begins greeting them with a jittery big smile, "Hi, my name is Parker, and I'm in Room 3, and I want your autographs!"

Barbra calmly says to Parker, "I'm sorry, but Sonic and Charlie don't know how to write their names yet."

"But we will soon!" Sonic excidedly adds.

The blue hedgehog then sees a familiar face on the other side of the barbed fence, talking to Betsy the yard duty. The human woman sees Sonic looking at her, and she calls him over. Sonic turns to his friends and says, "The yard duty wants to see me."

Charlie and Barbra nod in response, and Sonic runs over to Betsy, and guess what? It turns out Knuckles came by to say hi!

"Hey, Sonic," the red echidna greets his younger friend.

"Knuckles!" Sonic smiles. "What brings you here?"

Knuckles answers, "I saw Robotnik and Robot walking by the classrooms earlier. What happened?"

Oh yeah... "Robot took a picture of our class, and everyone became blind for a few minutes!" Sonic begins to explain.

After Hannah slides down the slide, she sees Sonic and Knuckles and runs over to them, overhearing what they said. "And then the robot felt bad, and Miss Teacher helped put drops in our eyes!" she adds in excitement.

Knuckles turns to the orange hedgehog. "You have Miss Hardberry, too?" he asks her.

"Yeah!" she answers. "My name's 'Hannah'. What's your's?"

"I'm Knuckles," he says. "I'm a 1st grader."

Barbra and Charlie walk over to the group, with the former asking, "What are you doing at the kindergarten playground?"

"I came to check on Sonic," says Knuckles. "He's my new neighbor, and he just moved here last week."

"Cool!" Hannah comments.

Barbra puts her arm around Sonic and says to him, "Welcome to Station Square, Sonic."

"Thanks!" Sonic says, suprised to see Barbra being nice for the first time today.

After Knuckles waves good-bye to the small kids, they settle down and talk about whatever they feel like. Sonic has realized that Kindergarten won't be so bad after all. He made friends, helped Charlie rescue the class from Robotnik and Robot, and his morning was really nice. He just hopes this will be the best school year ever!

And that's 'First Day of Kindergarten'! What did you think of this story? The next episode is 'Good Future Bad Future', and yes, I know what you're thinking: Isn't 'Ninja Chameleon' next? Not this time; some of the episodes will be switched around a bit. You'll also want to prepare for slower updates, as the next story is based off of Sonic CD, the first story to be based off of one of the games, and yes, there will be more of these. (*cough* *cough* 'The Chaos Emeralds' *cough* *cough* 'The Story Behind Soleanna')

With all of that out of the way, please write your review, and I'll see you next time!
