Artimis POV

The largest monster group we have faced in a century, and a manticore, and 2 mystery demigods, and a quest from camp half blood. CAN WE GET A BREAK?

It started with a routine hunt. Prepare, travel, kill, but then father called saying that 2 mystery demigods had been found and he wanted them on Olympus and to protect his demigod daughter. We arrive at the school to find a manticore with the 2 demigods and the son of Poseidon. The daughters of Zeus and Athena remove the demigods from the situation when all hell broke loose.

Monsters were teleported all around us, at least 200 of them. We quickly form a perimeter, but we were only going to last a minute. All around me my hunters are fighting and soon we would be overwhelmed. I prayed to father for help, but I knew it was futile. My best friend and lieutenant Zoë got knocked into the enemy by a cyclops club. Another lifted its club to finish her, and I screamed out. Right before it hit her though a blast of fire hit the club of the cyclops taking it's hand off.

I looked to where the fire had come from and what I saw chilled me to the bone. There was a tall boy about 14 I'd have to guess. He wore a helmet that looked like nothing I have ever seen before. It had a vaguely spartan esque look with a piece that went down the middle. Where his mouth should have been there were 2 plates with teeth making it look like the jaw of a drakon (here).Along the sides and back of the helmet there was long fang like teeth that framed the faceplate(here). All that were visible were his eyes, they were churning storms with fire and countless colors swirling in them. He was wearing a strange but impressive set of armor. He had a spartan esque chest plate that fit his form incredibly well. His arms were plated like medieval knights but much more fluent and less bulky. He wore incredibly ornate vambraces and his legs were covered in armor like the iron man movies.

He then said something in a voice that only those who truly know what they are capable of can muster. "I give you one chance FLEE OR DIE."

He said this calmly never increasing volume, his voice carried over them with more power than she thought humanly possible. This boy was suffocating her with his aura, and he didn't even know.

Thorn stepped forward with his hand still on the demigods. "We will never surrender foolish demigod." He said confidently.

"I never said you could surrender, I said flee like a dog with his tail between his legs." He reaches behind him where they could see a sword hilt but no blade. He pulls the sword and a four-foot Greek xiphos comes out. He looked at Thorn who had frozen when the blade had come out, "Know you are beaten and leave the demigods. You will make a great hunt and I will find your master!"

Thorn snapped out of it and all but screamed, "Attack!"

Then all hell broke loose. All the monsters that had previously attacking us made beelines straight towards the new boy. He just slid one foot back behind the other and pointed his sword at the ground. He closed his eyes and waited.

Then as if someone turned life on to fast forward. The boy launched himself at the monsters.

Percy POV

Only two hundred monsters they said, it'll be fun they said. Good gods there had to be 500 in a mile radius. What makes it better (read: worse) is that the hunters and Greek campers are here.

Readying in my signature death draw position with my sword down and my legs in a position to fight or run. With my sword tip down and cutting edge up I leaned forwards as the first monster got to me. It was a dracaena so I decided that attacking would get rid of the force faster than defending.

The monster got within 5 feet of me, and I leapt sword tip coming up to connect with the dracaena's chest. She exploded and where she stood 2 hell hounds now took her place. Oh, come on. This will take an hour at this rate. I gave myself over to my reflexes and skills as my body went on auto pilot.

Stab, slash, block, block, dodge, jab, stab, repeat. Still, I had been fighting like this for 10 minutes when I came up with a plan. I jumped over a blade that was aimed for my shins and landed on a hell hound. I continued to jump from monster to monster killing them then jumping closer to the hunters.

When I reached them, I called out in a commanding voice that I laced with power, "COVER YOUR EARS AND CLOSE YOUR EYES!" With that I set up 8 shields and readied one of my favorite abilities, Fire Storm. I felt 2 more power shields go up behind me as a started to move my hands in a spherical motion about 2 feet in diameter. Fire started to gather in between my hands and swirled around in a hurricane shape.

Closing my eyes, I drew my hand back and threw the fire hurricane into the hordes of monsters. Without my powers controlling it the low power fire expanded and killed any minor monsters like empousa, hellhounds, and dracaena. After a minute I dissipated the fire.

After checking to make sure that I still had a shield or two left over the hunters (which I had three left) I turned to see who survived. There were 20 Laistrygonian giants, a severely wounded hydra, and a drakon that I hadn't seen before.

Then I felt a flash of a being that isn't a god, titan, or anything else normal. This is about to be one hell of fight. I think as I tense my legs disabling the shields around the hunters.

3rd Person POV

As Percy looked towards the army the hunters saw the shields around them go down. They drew their bows and stepped forward only to meet a wall of power emanating from the mystery boy. He looked back and where his eyes should have been in his helmet there were 2 swirling whirlpools of color and power. When his glare hit them, their bodies locked up all except for the goddess with them who stopped in awe.

He turned back to the monsters and dropped his sword, not feeling like using it anymore. Some of the monsters like a couple of the Laistrygonian giants fled not wanting to fight the demon in front of them with their minimal numbers.

The hunters only saw the boy drop his sword and about 7 giants run away. On his right hand a metal gauntlet appeared on his hand. He flexed his hand and 4 eight-inch claws shot out of where his fingers were.

The claws retracted before he said in a voice that held such power and control everyone in the area wanted to follow his instruction, "Bow before me Drakon, open yourself to what you truly are."

The hunters and demigods looked confused at this until the drakon threw its head back and roared. Artimis drew her bow aiming for its head before the boy yelled out in frustration.

"I know he is near, but you are not under his command. You do not follow him. YOU FOLLOW ME AND THE ALFA." The drakon shook its head again before bowing to the boy. Percy raised his hand and spoke in an old language, even older than Greek and the drakon's form started to shimmer. After a minute its color changed from a dull gray to a lime green. Its body had gotten wider and flatter, it's tail elongated, and it's facially features changed.

"SINGE TAIL!" Percy yelled triumphantly. "Return to the nest, live your life as a dragon not a monster."

With that Percy turned to the remaining Laistrygonian giants and dashed forward. His right hand shot forward and punched the first giant in an uppercut sending him 20 feet in the air. He landed on one of his friends killing them both. While this was happening, Percy had used his claws to stab the hearts of 2 more.

Seeing the battle couldn't be won the remaining Laistrygonian giants fled leaving only the hydra. Percy, wanting to show off, decided that a fire sword would be the flashiest and quickest way to kill it. He held his hand in front of him like he was holding a sword at a slight angle. Slowly fire spread from his palm making a 5-foot Greek Xiphos.

With his new weapon Percy charged the hydra. He moved in like a wolf hunting his prey, fierce, aggressive, but patient. He waited for the right moment then cut of 3 of the 7 heads with one strike. He left his side unprotected, and the 4-hydra head moved in for the kill only to be sliced off by a second fire sword that had appeared in Percy's other hand.

The fight continued for another minute until there was only 1 head left.

"I've always wanted to try this." Percy said confusing everyone. Then his normal sword appeared in his hand, and he cut the head off. Everyone thought he was crazy until water rose from the ground, covered the stump, and froze. The hydra heads tried to grow but couldn't. The heads started to grow backwards and in seconds the hydra exploded into golden dust.

When he turned back to the hunters his eyes had a sadistic element. He looked past them and when they turned around, they saw the Manticore trying to sneak off with the two mystery demigods.

"Oh Mantiwhore!" Percy called out sadistically and tauntingly. The manticore stiffened and turned, in his eyes a mixture of terror and anger.

"I have no quarrel with you φονιάς." The manticore said with fear.

"As long as your master plots you do." Percy said back before suddenly the 2 demigods fell into a shadow and ended up behind him. The lieutenant of the Hunt immediately stepped forward to deal the finishing blow, as was the hunts tradition.

Suddenly the manticore jumped forward and grabbed the huntress before stumbling backwards. I knew that I could save her but with armor I would be to slow. In a second my armor is back in its gauntlet form, and I am sprinting forward. Right before the Manticore reaches the edge a daughter of Athena impulsively tries to jump onto it's back to stop it.

I stop using the water in the air to shove her back and the Manticore falls into the chasm bellow.

Artimis screams, the hunters gasp, the daughter of Athena looks guilty, and my groan is louder than all of them.

They all look as I do a perfect swan dive off the cliff.

Artimis POV

I scream in sadness and disbelief that I lost my best friend only to hear a very loud groan come from behind me. I whirl to find the boy, armor less, and grimacing. Before I could do anything, he runs and hurls himself off of the cliff.

I stare for a second in disbelief at the foolishness of the boy before turning back to the demigods knowing that I couldn't morn Zoë quite yet. As I look at my hunters a see a figure standing behind them.

He wears a pitch-black coat with lines of pale rust. On his hands are fingerless gloves, again all black, and his shoes are surprisingly white and red, Nike shoes? I could only see his mouth under the hood that was forming a grin.

He looks at me and says, "Shame about your lieutenant. She was easily the most attractive among you, she would have made a fun toy. But alas I will have to settle with the rest of you."

I felt anger bubble up inside of me at how he talked of Zoë. I go to yell at him only to feel power rushing out of me. He looks at me disdainfully.

"It would be best if you stay quiet child." He said with a tone of slight annoyance before he went back to his sadistically happy persona.

"Now, I'm not totally heartless. I'll simply sample one of you for the time being until I get bored." He continued speaking while rubbing his chin with his hand. "I'll take the daughter of Athena. Yes, you will make a great toy for a couple of weeks."

He took a step forward only to hear a roar come from the chasm (think night fury roar in HTTYD 2). He looks genuinely terrified at the sound and visibly steps back as we all whip our heads around and look at the crevice.

Suddenly the boy shoots out of the crevice holding something. When he reaches about 5 meters in the air he stable out and hovers, using WINGS. There were wings coming out of his back. They were beautiful Pegasus wings that were flapping to keep him in the air. That was when I noticed he was holding the unconscious form of Zoë.

No sooner had I noticed this than he dives toward us. I see him loosen his grip on Zoë and knew he was going to drop her to me. I steady myself and when he drops her, I catch Zoë and make sure she is okay. She had a pulse, and her breathing was steady.

When I look up, I see that the boy is hovering in front of us conversing with the man like he was a high school bully, and they were just seeing each other after 10 years.

"Go home Cyris (name is adaptation of Cyril). I can and will beat you, but not today." The flying boy was saying very aggressively. I think he did want to fight but not hurt anybody in the area. What surprised me was how confident he was standing in front of a man who made me feel as weak as a mortal.

"You couldn't defeat me no matter how we fought." The man replied evenly.

The boy stayed silent as though he was collecting his thoughts when the man's sword flew out of his hand. He looked astonished for a moment until a fist caught him in the jaw. Then he looked in pain as he got up 20 feet away from where he was standing a second ago.

The boy then looks at him and I got the first good look at his face. His eyes were the same but now I could see that they were only part of who he was. His face had a long scar going from above his right eye, all the way down to his left cheek. His face had sharp features and had lines like once upon a time he smiled a lot. Now though his face held disdain and … disappointment?

"Last time we fought with weapons, now let's see how good you are with your fists." The boy said before dashing forward so fast even my hunters had trouble following it as he unloaded a haymaker right into his jaw. Again, the man flew back, and this time hit a tree and fell to the ground.

Quick as light the man is up and running towards the boy. The boy looks mildly impressed before bending over completely backwards to dodge a punch, before strafing left to avoid another.

Three quick punches later and the man is flying towards the cliff. He comes to a stop mere feet away from falling. There was no visible damage like blood, but his mouth was contorted in pain. He looked up and saw the boy moving towards him, again, like a wolf.

Before the boy can get there, he stood up and yelled out, "I'll be back Orrokon, mark my words." Before jumping down into the chasm below.

Almost as if we were all one being everybody in the clearing, including me, turn to the boy weapons drawn.

He looks bored and tells us with unmatched amounts of sarcasm, "You know, that isn't a very good way to thank someone for saving you.

And finished! Jesus Christ that took forever and 2700+ words. It took longer than excepted but I am still learning, and my cousin turned out to be a small time drug dealer so we were helping him through that.

Anyways I have some things to say. First, someone didn't see Alfa is the name I gave toothless, and he will have it for another 2 chapters. The reason it is alFa instead of alPHa is because I am brining Valka's Bewilder beast dragon back next chapter and I need to differentiate between the two. Also thank you to bookworm4321 for the feed back and thank you Truth, I will be using brainless as a name. I don't mind feedback and if you want to be rude at least have something that I can use in the story instead of just, YOU SUCK B*TCH.

Names and Place holders

Toothless; Alfa

Percy; φονιάς(Killer), Orroskyn(old norse:Orrostumaðr meaning warrior, and Konugr meaning King

Cyris; Greek (derivative of Cyril meaning Master more on that later)

Thanks all I will be starting pairings 4 chapters from now and I will try to post again in 2 weeks now that my life isn't on fire.
