Chapter 1
OOF!
He hit the ground hard once more, the blade pointed at his throat as Mika stared him down, he sighed with defeat as his hands went up. "I surrender…" he said and sighed aloud.
Mika appeared disappointed. "What's wrong with you, Suiryu?" she asked. "Normally you put up a better fight than this. We've been training for the past few weeks and you aren't getting better…"
"I'm getting worst, I know…" he muttered.
She picked up on his tone. "Is everything okay?"
Sitting himself up, he tried to make sense of it all. He knows he has gotten weaker in the past two weeks or so, in fact, he could feel his strength leaving him just from sitting up. "It's probably nothing, my stubborn ass can't adjust to being human…"
She didn't appear convinced by his words, however didn't push it any farther. "How is Itadori doing?"
"Still asleep, still a baby, so I doubt that is changing any time soon. Whatever he did took the stuffing right out of him… It was my fault wasn't it…" he asked aloud.
Mika smirked. "Don't go all Yuuji on me," she warned him. "Besides, had Itadori not done something, we would have tried to help you. You're one of us now, aren't you?" she asked.
Suiryu smirked back at her. "Guess I am," she offered a hand as he got to his feet once more. Suiryu stretched himself out and decided to check up on everyone else.
Those who came to this odd domain have been working hard in training. Knowing what is coming and yet, unaware as to when the attack will happen. Suiryu has no doubts by now that the elders have taken in their old records of Sukuna, they are going to explore every place he has been to and search for what is hidden. This place… will be the first one they come to.
He continued to wonder, but paused as he saw some of the others gathering around. Choso and the brothers were standing still and yet, watching with great interest. "What's going on?" he asked.
Choso pointed ahead of them. "Junpei challenged Satoru."
He froze, suddenly, Suiryu shoved his way to the front to get a closer look. Damn human eyes, they don't see everything in detail. In fact, he couldn't see what was happening before him anymore. They were moving too fast, he caught glimpse but it was blinded out by crimson red.
"Can someone describe it for me please?" he asked in a disheartened tone.
"At the moment, Junpei has been attempting to strike Satoru from the sides, however, each time he goes for a direct hit, it's repelled, and yet he does these attacks of blood from the sides and behind Satoru… I'm curious to why he is doing so, it's expelling a lot more curse energy than it should.
But according to Choso, these attacks were constant. Any time he went for a strike, there came a curtain of blood in attempts to get Gojo from any and all angles. However, his limitless prevents any attack from landing.
They went on for another twenty minutes. Junpei was haggard and tried. His side mouths were even gasping for air and dripping blood from pure exhaustion.
Satoru was laughing though. Not mockingly but impressively.
They began to converge towards the brothers, by then he could pick up their conversation. "That was your aim wasn't it! You were going for a frontal attack at the same time, the blood curtain you used… you were trying to find a gap in the limitless technique and exploit it!"
"Damn, he saw right through me…" Junpei snickered.
"It was a good method." Suiryu announced. "The problem is, Gojo has been using limitless his whole life pretty much, he has mastered it. But your growth is just as impressive,"
Satoru paused oddly as he stared at Suiryu. "Hey, mind if we hang out tonight?" he asked offhandedly. "I feel like you and I don't get a chance to talk."
Suiryu paused to the question. "Since when the hell do you want to just shoot the shit with me?"
He shrugged, but perhaps this was Satoru's way of saying 'we need to talk in private'. With that in mind, Suiryu agreed to speak with him later tonight. For now, he is going to check on Yuuji.
"You are going to want to wait a while," warned Choso. "He has company."
"Then why the hell are you here?!" Suiryu demanded. "If Yuuji has company…"
"It was requested we not be in the room with her this time around, we will respect her wishes."
Stranger still, the great lady who has come to feed Yuuji, didn't want Choso or any of the brothers in the room with her? Why?
He shook his head to it all. "Fine, so be it, I'll check on him later then…" He wondered off shortly after. At the same time, there was a gnawing sensation growing in his gut. Suiryu has begun to wonder if perhaps a curse was casted upon him by Sukuna, one that was slowly eating away at him…
