Chapter 6
Meanwhile…
"As of this moment on, any and all sorcerers who are no longer part of the jujutsu curriculum or are associated and sided with the demon vessel, shall be eliminated on sight!"
There came murmurs from the crowd as they wondered what caused such a ruling to occur. "Is there an explanation for this?" asked Todo as his hand went up. "We don't know the full details, so what crime are they to be punished for?"
The councilman who led this meeting glared down at him. "It matters not the situation! The demon vessel has always been slated for death, it's been pushed back constantly, but now, we have been ordered by the elders to destroy him on sight! That goes the same with the clone of Sukuna, Suiryu. He had been possessed by the king of curses and nearly lashed out against his fellow students and peers."
'Nearly?' Todo thought. 'So there is more to this than meets the eye. Brother has not done anything to be punished with a death sentence. The council and elders have always seen him as nothing more than a demon vessel, so…'
"Aoi Todo!"
He snapped out of his daze. "I'm sorry, you were saying?"
"What are you thinking? You appeared to be deep in thought!"
"Oh… Takada-Chan is going to be returning soon, I am planning my trip…"
He got sneers from all over the place, but the councilman was quite focused on him. Perhaps it's because of his connection with Itadori. He didn't know for certain, however he is aware he has become a target himself.
"You won't be seeing such a thing until the demon vessel is destroyed once and for all! This is a priority order, bring the demon vessel back to us, dead…" he decreed. "Oh, and if any of you are entertaining the notion of joining him and the traitors, you too will be marked for death! No exemptions!"
Peering about, there were a few who felt such a way, he could tell by the looks on their faces. But what bothered him most was the fact he didn't see Mia anywhere. He turned to Momo who was trembling. "Hey… where's Mia?" he whispered.
She turned to him, with tears in her eyes.
She didn't have to speak anymore, he sighed aloud. He heard Mia explained she was called back home a while ago; she left the moment she got the call. But no one has seen her since. Momo on the other hand has always been close in contact with her, yet just by the reaction she gave him, he could only assume the worst.
Mia was gone.
He then noticed Kamo looking to him oddly, before nudging his head towards the doors. Todo nodded as they went outside, despite the cold weather they endured it and yet oddly enough, Kamo offered him a drink. He took a sip when Todo heard his voice in his head.
'It's no longer safe here'
Todo paused as he turned to Kamo, rather stunned. 'Since when did you learn to do this?' he thought back to him and pretended to take a sip of his drink.
It was how they covered up their telepathic conversation, each time they went to 'drink' they spoke.
'Suiryu insisted I learn this, I didn't learn it from him either. Inumaki taught me how'
Todo learned this from Suiryu himself. It was while they were training before their first confrontation with the fifth hand. Suiryu offered lessons to them, very few took him up on it. Todo knew better than to piss the chance away. So he learned the silent conversation jujutsu… well, that's what Suiryu called it.
'So, what's your plan?' Todo asked.
Kamo was silent for a moment as he considered the notion. 'I'm staying here. Someone has to, and being the next head of the family… It wouldn't be right if I left, as well, they know where my mother is, and I can't risk her life. We've lost too many'
He agreed completely. 'I want to join them, I want to protect brother since he protects us. No one else sees that do they?'
'Then you should have said something sooner'
Both of them paused.
'Fushiguro?!' they thought at the same time.
'Yeah, I heard everything too, problem is, they are already on to us. Something doesn't feel right either. I am sensing odd energy here, coming from underground… even within the shadows…'
Now that he mentioned it…
Todo nodded in agreement. "Well, I think I am going to start patrols" he said aloud. "Kamo, if anyone asks where I've gone. I'm going down town,"
Kamo was rather taken aback by his sudden announcement, but then he sighed and nodded. "Let me guess. Takada-Chan's new album came out today?" he said in an exasperated sigh.
"You know me too well my friend! As well, there has been increase curse activity there too, but if anyone is looking for me…"
"Very well, I'll inform them…"
He nodded and began to make his plan. Todo refuses to stay here a moment longer, especially since they have come after his brother.
NO ONE comes after his brother…

Kamo remained outside.
'What brings you here?' he asked Megumi.
'I came to see for myself what is going on, something isn't right, ever since Sukuna took over Suiryu, there was something off about this whole thing… and the elders are part of it.'
Kamo sighed aloud. 'I am not going to be of much help. I am going to try and stay as neutral as I can, after all… I have no idea where my birthmother has gone to, and I won't want her caught up in all of this.'
'I understand, but, if the time comes where you wish to join us…'
He merely nodded and finished his drink. 'Be safe, Fushiguro.'

Megumi began to make his way through the school in Kyoto, all those who were in Tokyo that didn't leave were brought here. He watched on as they placed binding vows on those who remained, ensuring their loyalty. However, some began to question the reasoning for it. "Why do this?" asked Takuma Ino. "I don't see the big deal, they left, so what?"
"It's to prove your loyalty to the elders and the jujutsu world!" one councilman protested. "If you fail to take this binding vow, we have no other choice but to assume that you are on their side…"
Ino was stunned. "Look, I don't even know what has happened. What's going on let alone why everyone left. I can't help but wonder WHY you are insisting on binding vows on us? There is no explanation…"
"So be it," the councilman sneered. "Be gone with you,"
Ino was stunned but left the room. The moment he cleared the door, Fushiguro heard. "We have to make him look like an accident." He heard the councilman say.
'They are going to kill anyone who doesn't accept the binding vow…' Megumi thought to himself. Yet, before he could make a move to leave, he was suddenly knocked out of the shadow!
He hit the ground rather hard, but looked up and saw someone come out of the darkness like he does!
"Shadow movement!?" he whispered.
But his blood ran cold when he heard the councilman snicker. "Well done, I had no doubt that the grandson of one of the great elders learns so quickly. You have cultured shadow movement rather well, Mosu!"
The young man was but a few years older than Megumi, but he smirked to his accomplishment. "I got use to that one real quickly, but I still can't summon the shikigami yet. They keep falling apart on me."
"Shikigami?" Megumi whispered, but then saw the curse energy being unleashed.
Mosu smirked, his energy was similar to Fushiguro's!
"Wait, you can't have my technique!" he protested.
"But he does, and with you here, it shall be perfect! You see boy, we have been made well aware of the intentions of one Satoru Gojo. Wanting to break down the jujutsu council from the outside, carving the minds of the next generation to think for themselves than of their elders doing it for them… we can't have that." he said and grinned. "But, with him being so powerful, there was only one option we could do… make ourselves stronger than Satoru Gojo…"
"I don't see that working out for you," Megumi muttered. "Not to mention, if you are trying to get stronger than Gojo, why do he have the Zenin family's technique?" he demanded.
The councilman merely smirked. "It doesn't matter, besides… you won't be alive long enough to learn the true secret. Take him away, ensure he is sealed up…"
"Not happening…" Megumi growled, he was quick to retreat to his shadow, yet, as he did, he was no longer alone in the dark world. mosu had followed him, and he even called for backup!
Looking about, there were at least ten sorcerers with similar energy to him. However, Megumi knew this place like the back of his hand. Like hell he would allow the likes of them getting the drop on him!
"So, what now? What does the great Megumi Fushiguro intend to do?" the grandson teased.
Fushiguro only did a small smile to him. "You came here… uninvited. I would tread carefully if I were you…" with that, he turned and ran as fast as he could.
"GET HIM!"
