"LEAVING! We're leaving! Let's pack up. Looks like you and me are taking a little vacation…forever." Hiccup called out to seemingly nothing but himself, should anyone be watching him they'd think he had lost his mind.
If they knew who or rather what he was talking to, they would still believe him mad regardless. See he was a Viking, not your average Viking, due to his lack of muscles that wasn't between his ears and his lack of bloodlust, but a Viking non the less, a son of a Viking Chief no less! In which the chief must be stronger than the rest, tougher than his village and violent if need be, Hiccup was not that Viking.
What does his status of Viking have anything to do with this? Well his friend, his best friend, his… only friend, was a dragon, the species that his people just happen to be at war with.
Yay.
But this dragon wasn't just any dragon, oh no. Hiccup of course needed to make a statement when it came to his choices. Seeing as this dragon was the deadliest, most feared, dreaded and respected dragon known to Vikings, the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself…the Night Fury.
How did he do it, how did he, a runt befriend the deadliest creature known to man? Well: during a dragon raid, he was so desperate to prove himself, so he had shot down this Night Fury and desired to kill him. Great way to make friends, am I right?
But you have to understand. Doing so would have caused the village to finally treat him right, like an equal and not a hiccup. They'd throw a feast in his honour. The adults would sing his praises, the teens would drop at his feet, begging for their forgiveness. For all the years of pain they brought him. Astrid Hofferson, a shield maiden to be, and best warrior of his generation would be impressed; maybe even find a friend in him.
Killing the dragon would immediately earn the village's love, something he has strived for years and years and years. Finally he would no longer suffer. Finally he would be accepted. FINALLY HIS OWN FATHER WOULD TRULY LOVE HIM!
But when the young Viking found his prey, his catch, tied up and helpless and accepting death, Hiccup couldn't go through with it. Wouldn't go through with it! Instead of killing him, he set him free.
"A dragon will always go for the kill", a motto of the Vikings had drilled into their heads and the heads of their off spring. Hiccup was sure that rule would come true once the beast pounced on the boy, but all it did was roar in his face before taking off, sparing the human, as the human had for him seconds before.
It had plenty of opportunities, the means, and the motive to kill Hiccup, but he didn't. He didn't blast him into oblivion, bite off any limbs, or even give him a scar. He simply roared in his face and flew off. If the Night Fury didn't go for the kill like the other dragons, what else is wrong about them?
Vikings and Dragons have been at odds for years, three centuries. Three centuries of bloodshed on both sides, families ripped away, mothers and fathers slaughtered, children taken before their time. Hiccup's own mother taken by a dragon when he was a babe. This war had been quite exhausting for both parties. For so long, the history may live on, but never the reason for it. The beginning was lost to all, was it the Vikings that started this war? Was it the Dragons? Neither knew but both sides loved to play the tale that painted them the victim and their enemies the villains. It seemed that for every Viking that was killed by a dragon, ten or so dragons were killed by Vikings. Being brought up to hate the dragons as much as his parents, and their parents before them and then go against their ideas would surely have him be cast out or even killed.
The reason Hiccup was so willing to trust this dragon, rather than the stories and lessons taught to him by his own people was because he was treated better by a "Mindless, soulless, emotionless beast" than his own people.
Day in and day out, Hiccup was sentenced to torment by the kids his age, namely Snotlout Jorgenson, and Ruffnut & Tuffnut Thorston. Hiccup once read about an animal from far out called a monkey, a saying based off them being "Monkey see, monkey do." And Hiccup believed the twins' spirit animal was this monkey as they would do whatever Snotlout done, which meant hurting the runt, emotionally and verbally. Though it was only Snotlout who did anything physical, most of the time the Twins were too busy beating each other up.
Another teen was one, Fishlegs Ingerman, who joined the three because it wouldn't be good for his or his family's reputation to hang out with a menace like Hiccup.
Well he didn't really join in on the bullying, but he just stood there. Probably a survival instinct, seeing as he would most likely be their other target for harassment despite his larger frame. He was a timid and intelligent boy so fighting back never really registered in his mind. What made it worse was that he and Hiccup had been friends when they were little, or in Hiccup's case, littler. Until image became everything, so that meant dropping the runt.
Astrid Hofferson, had never attack him, but she didn't exactly do anything to help him either. She shunned Hiccup just as much as the adult Vikings did, reputation was something Vikings loved beyond anything else and Astrid cared only for her own reputation, and she wouldn't dare give it up to save someone insignificant.
The only upside there was Gobber, the village blacksmith and his mentor, he was actually the closest thing Hiccup had to a friend, hell, to a father!
All he wanted was to be accepted in his village for who he was, not for who he could not be. Now these days, by using what he learnt with his friend and using it during dragon training, he was no longer an Outcast, no one seems to leave him alone like before.
Funny isn't it? For years he would crave such a thing but now he suffocates from it. Everyone wants to hang out with him, acting as if the last 10 years of his life, THE LAST 10 YEARS OF SUFFERING BY THEIR HANDS NEVER HAPPENED! He could stomach the villagers no longer.
All because he chose a friend that accepted him, a dragon.
Before Toothless could come to him or, unbeknownst to him, Astrid could spring her trap on him, a bright light took them in its warmth before they vanished.
This same light took over the whole of berk and the entirety of the dragons nest, sans a now confused and extremely pissed off queen.
Beyond the barbaric archipelago, lay a remote, frigid wasteland which also served at the home of the Bewilderbeast, the king of dragons and his subjects, whom he treated kindly as each dragon that came or was liberated were merely seeking safety from the deadly reach of the Humans that saw them as nothing more than monsters that deserved death.
The same light took a certain Stormcutter and his Human companion who along with him and other dragons peacefully.

Merida was outside at the archery range on her family's kingdom, though she felt so bored. Usually archery always lit a spark in her chest but that was whenever she practiced with an actual challenge. Be it hitting 3 falling apples in a row, shoot her arrow though the tiny gap of a tree clean through or let off 5 different arrows in 5 seconds or less.
Maybe it was because she was still in a bad mood after the latest fight with her mother. Honestly that woman could be so frustrating! She dictated how Merida was to live her life, to how she looked, what she learnt, even how she stood! Merida felt like she was suffocating at times, with no freedom to be herself. Her already decided future was to be the bride to someone she doesn't even know and be some… some… breeding stock!
Not if she had anything to say about it!
The red haired princess walked over to the target and pulled her arrow from its frame, dead centre as always. However, as she plucked the arrow from the target, a bright light overwhelmed her. Just as the light died down, the proud Scotswoman was gone. Along with her parents and 3 brothers and the 3 future suitors and their fathers.
Jack never really understood why he was what he was. He doesn't remember anything before the Man in the Moon spoke to him. Well "spoke" was a bit of a stretch, all he did was say what his name was, after that it was zip, zilch, nothing. Besides a name, Jack realised his abilities however, the pure delight he had when he discovered his powers, the things he could do, that feeling was washed away by the dread he felt when he discovered that no matter what he done, nobody could see him, or hear him or anything. He was all alone.
Well, maybe not entirely alone. He knew of the Guardians such as North, Bunnymund, Tooth and Sandy, they were the only ones who could actually see him but they never really paid any attention to him. Heck, Bunnymund down right hated him after the blizzard of '68. The only ones he can in anyway relate to don't want anything to do with him. So yeah, he was alone. Well fine then.
They were all about hard work and deadlines, he was snowballs and fun times. Honestly he felt better suited being alone.
Just as Jack had landed down, a bright light shined when his naked foot touched the ground. Once the light had died down and disappeared, so had Jack Frost. The other guardians had also vanished from their various homes.
Elsa sat in her room in self-confinement, the constant fear of her powers making her shut herself in. Despite her parents' attempts to help her, it seemed like a useless endeavour, like using a tea cup to empty out a fountain.
The gloves helped but it could only do so much, it was only a constant reminder of what kind of damage her hands could do to everyone around her.
Her mind flashed to the incident with Anna, the fear of hurting her little sister, the helplessness she felt as she and her parents rushed to get help from the rock Trolls and the despair of having to take away Anna's memories in order to save her.
Elsa noticed snowflakes falling around her as ice settles beneath her feet. Her heart raced and her breathe hitched until she hastily closed her eyes and repeated to herself. "Conceal, don't feel. Conceal, don't feel. Conceal, don't feel." She whispered and was relieved to see the snow stop falling and the ice stop spreading. Now the next issue was to wait for it to melt and deal with the water afterward.
A knock startled Elsa but the familiar pattern tipped Elsa off about who was at the door.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" Anna called from behind and Elsa had to grit her teeth, anxiety building as her sister was close, with only a wooden door keeping Anna safe. The closer she was, the more dangerous it was for her.
Before she could reject the offer, a bright light took her along with Anna and both the King and Queen of Arendelle.
Hiro was in his 'lab' as he looked through Baymax's design and software, checking to see if there was anything to improve upon his design. Then again, his brother was brilliant, there was so few things to upgrade. Despite the pang of sorrow in his heart, Hiro smiled to himself as he remembered his late brother and his genius. If it wasn't for him, Hiro would have never had the inspiration to do what he had or be what he had become.
Baymax came up behind the seated Brainiac and hugged the boy. "I noticed a rise in happiness along with a small spike in sadness. Were you thinking of Tadashi?"
Hiro's smile grew, his brother's creation knew him like the back of his hand at this point.
Fred suddenly called out. "Ah yeah! Group hug time!" he and his friends, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Gogo each gathered together and hugged the boy and his robot. They too missed Tadashi and would do anything to protect Hiro. It was the least they could do.
Just as the gathered, a bright light shined around them. As it dimmed, the group of hero's were gone.
Rapunzel wished she could leave the tower. To see the outside world and meet new people, to make friends and be happy. Mind you she didn't hate her life in the tower, it was just a lonely and boring life. And despite her desire to leave the tower, she didn't want to leave her mother behind but it seemed like mother didn't want her to leave either, yet it didn't feel like it was out of love.
The long haired blonde looked out of her tower window towards the night sky as stars shined and the moon glowed. One star seemed to shine brighter than others, Rapunzel had read about how stars such as that held the power to grant wishes when one so desperately gazed at it as she was.
"I wish I could leave this place and witness the world outside. I wish I could have some friends." Now that she looked it more, that star seemed to grow in size, until it became blinding, she shielded her eyes as the warm light came over her. And just like that, she was gone from her prison. Looks like her wish was being fulfilled.
~VOID~
In a dark but pleasant chamber, a light exploded into view before it died down into a small ball.
Hiccup, Elsa, Anna, Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiro & his friends were gently placed on their feet, away from the other kidnap vic-… guests.
"What the? Where are we?" Wasabi asked.
"Did anyone else see a bright light?" Gogo questioned, with a variety of confirmations.
"Guys, I think we need to accept the possibility that we have been abducted by ALIENS!" Fred cried out. Fear was the normal reaction to such a thought. For Fred? Nothing but excitement littered his voice.
"What? What is this? What's going on?" Rapunzel gasped out, her eyes darted around widely. Who were these people? Ruffians? Thugs?! But when she got a better look at the others, she figured there was no way these people were any kind of trouble. One was a young boy, so there was no way he could be some ruffian and his friends seemed okay, she still wasn't sure.
Another was a pale skinned woman with platinum blonde hair looked around, her eyes wide with terror as she backed away from the group, one would assume it was because she had suddenly been kidnapped and amoung strangers. The other girl with red hair must have known her because she was trying to get close to her. "Elsa?" she asked.
"Anna, stay back, please." Elsa pleaded.
"Elsa, why are you staying away from me? Please tell me why you won't even see me?!" Anna, apparently that was her name, begged, tears brimming in her eyes.
Elsa shook her head, not wanting to see her sister in such a heart breaking state. "I just can't." she said.
Anna stared at her sister and angrily looked away, she stopped trying to reach Elsa and kept her distance, not knowing that it hurt Elsa just as much.
"Awkward." Another boy said, he looked to be her age but had snow white hair and a wooden staff.
However, the one with long and wild ginger locks and a bow and arrow certainly made Rapunzel feel nervous. The glare she had seemed sharper than the arrow head and twice as deadly.
Though the final boy looked more worried and possibly more terrified than Rapunzel herself. His eyes scanned around frantically, though it seemed like instead of trying to figure out his surroundings, he was rather looking for something, someone.
"Toothless?" he asked, his call got the others to look at him but he paid them no mind. He had to find his best friend. His brother.
"Toothless!"
"Whoa, Kid. I'm sure your… friend is fine." Jack wasn't sure what kind of friend was called Toothless, maybe it was some kind of cat without teeth. He turned to his fellow guests "Can you one of you guys deal with him? I know it's pointless of me to ask since none of you can see or hear me."
Jack must have gotten the shock of his life when Hiccup turned to look at him. Not just glance in his direction or just happen to look at Jack when in reality he was looking through him.
No.
Hiccup was actually staring. Right. At. HIM.
Hiccup paid no mind to the bewildered and shocked expression that rested on Jack's face. "No you don't understand. Toothless, my friend, he could be in danger." Toothless was far from helpless, his razor sharp claws and powerful plasma blasts proved that.
But while he could fight, he couldn't escape if he needed to. That was a fear Hiccup developed in the back of his mind each time he left his friend and headed to the Village. That some Viking would stumble across the Night Fury and then the whole Village would come together and kill him. His terrifying reputation would garner no less than that reaction. And how could he escape the cove? How would he be able to fly away with Hiccup?
"Hey, don't worry. Maybe he was taken along with us." Honey Lemon tried to sooth him.
"Perhaps a description of your friend would aid us in searching for him." Baymax sounded off. Those unfamiliar with the robot were astonished.
"I'm not the only one seeing a giant, walking, talking marshmallow, am I?" Jack queried.
"Oh, don't worry, this is Baymax. Go ahead and introduce yourself, big guy." Hiro offered.
Baymax did so and stepped forward with a wave. "Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion." His calm, soothing voice helped put the others at rest.
"Maybe we should all introduce ourselves." Anna suggested and thankfully, no one argued against this. "I will start us off. My name is Anna, Princess of Arendelle and sister to Elsa." The revelation of her title caused those who weren't royalty to bow out of respect. Anna quickly added "There's no need for that." She stated politely.
Elsa could feel the expectant stares on her and took a deep breathe before introducing herself. "My name is Elsa, Princess of Arendelle."
"Well, since Baymax done his little intro, guess I'll do mine. My name is Hiro Hamada. I come from San Fransokyo. And these guys are my friends." Hiro gestured to said friends.
"Gogo Tomago." Gogo done her signature bubble gum pop "Sup?"
"Honey Lemon." Honey Lemon gave a bright smile and a small wave. "Hello." She said cheerfully.
"Wasabi." Wasabi nodded kindly with his own smile. "Nice to meet you."
"And last but not least: Fred." Fred cheered loudly and threw his hands in the air with a rock and roll hand gesture. "Wassup people! Am I the only one psyched about being taken by Aliens?!" he asked the others. His friends only rolled their eyes but the fond smiles betrayed any annoyance.
"What if it's a Xenomorph?" Gogo raised an eyebrow at the energetic blond. That quelled most of his excitement.
"Oh… less cool." He admitted.
"Um? Sorry, your second name wouldn't happen to be 'Thorston', would it?" Hiccup couldn't help but wonder if this was a relative of Tuff and Ruff.
"No. Why?" Fred denied.
"Oh okay, just curious."
"Fair enough, why don't you go next, little buddy?" Fred suggested.
"Me?" when everyone nodded, Hiccup shrugged and went along with it. "My name is Hiccup-."
Fred snickered to himself as Hiccup deadpanned, too use to that response. Gogo elbowed Fred hard in the ribs. "Argh! Yep, I deserved that. Sorry, dude." Hiccup was not use to people really apologising.
"As I was saying, my name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third." He finished.
"Wait, there were three other people in your family called 'Hiccup'?" Hiro asked.
"Well, were I come from, people usually believe that frightening names will scare off gnomes and trolls." Hiccup explained.
"Trolls?" Elsa repeated. Why would you want to scare off trolls? They seemed like a friendly bunch.
"How about we just move on?" Hiccup suggested, no offense to the others, but the quicker they do this, the sooner he could get back to looking for Toothless.
"The name is Merida." That was all she said, she didn't know these people and her status had no real worth as of now.
Rapunzel didn't like the awkward silence that followed and sought to chance that. "Hello. My name is Rapunzel. You don't look like ruffians." She cheerfully added. This got many strange looks, making Rapunzel wish she had kept that last part to herself now. "Sorry, I guess you can say I don't get out often." She explained sheepishly.
"Maybe the first place you should go to is a salon? How is your hair that long?" Honey Lemon asked and couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy. Seriously, most of it was dragging on the floor and yet to glowed like golden silk! Whilst Honey Lemon has to wash her hair every other day due to chemicals and whatnot.
Rapunzel smiled sheepishly and then felt a small weight on her shoulder and saw it was Pascal. "Oh! And this is Pascal." She said as she lifted him for everyone to see.
Merida noticed that they only had one mystery guest left and he didn't look like he was going to introduce himself so Merida decided to get his attention. "Oi, snow cap. Yur' turn." She pointed out.
Jack's head whipped over to her so fast, he felt a few clicks. "Wait, are you talking to me?" hope drenched his words as he stared back intensely.
"No, the other snow cap. Yes you!" Merida's accent became more profound as her annoyance grew.
"Hold up. You can see me?" he thought it was a fluke with Hiccup but someone could see him as well?
"Why te' bloody 'ell wouldn't I be able ta' see ya?" Merida didn't know what was wrong with this one.
"You can all see me?" Jack asked everyone. When everyone nodded, his heart nearly leapt out from his chest and his eyes nearly left their sockets. "WOOHOO!" Jack cheered with the energy of a power plant. They could see him! People could actually see him finally! Everyone looked on perplexed at how Jack acted. Why was them being able to see him such a big deal?
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that, this is a big deal for me." Jack said once he calmed down, though the giddiness never left him.
"You don't say." Hiro joked.
"Well, maybe this will explain. I am the one, the only: Jack Frost." He revealed.
Hiccup gasped at this. "Wait, Jack Frost? As in, Jokul Frosti?" Jack merely bowed at the title with flourish.
Merida wasn't as quick to believe such a claim. "Prove it." she stated with an unimpressed look.
Jack cheekily smirked before tapping the ground with his staff. Ice and frost expanded across the floor rapidly and formed the shape of a snow flake.
Jack looked around and laughed lightly at the stares of disbelief, not knowing that one of them was in disbelief for a different reason.
'Is he like me?' Elsa mentally questioned. He could create and control ice and do so like it was as easy as breathing! Maybe he could help her!
When Jack stood back up, he noticed something past his guests but couldn't tell what exactly it was for it was shrouded in the shadows. "So, what's that thing?" he pointed with his staff, tightening his grip on it and ready for a fight.
When they all turned to stare at the shadowed creature, nearly everyone gasped at the acid green eyes that stared back at them. Only one didn't, and that was…
"Toothless?" Hiccup wondered. With that, the creature pounced from it dark blanket and onto the Viking boy.
The others gave shouts and a scream or two in fear and shock when they saw the creature lunge at the boy and was on top of him. Both Jack and Elsa were prepared to use their ice to save the boy whilst Merida aimed an arrow at it, but instead of the cries of horror and pain, all they heard was laughter.
"Toothless! Hahaha! I- bu- To- c'mon, bud. Stop it!" Hiccup sputtered out as the Night Fury licked him, covering him in saliva. "That doesn't wash out, bud!" Hiccup tried shoving the Dragon off him to no avail.
Once the ebony Dragon got off his human, Hiccup managed to stand back up and hug his best friend. "Yeah, I missed you too. I was so worried about you." Toothless softly cooed and gently nudged his head against Hiccup's.
Hiccup realised they weren't alone and saw everyone's jaws were on the floor. He laughed softly and stepped aside for them to see his friend. "Everyone, this is Toothless. Toothless, these are Jack, Merida, Rapunzel, Hiro, Baymax, Gogo, Wasabi, Fred, Honey Lemon, Elsa and Anna." That certainly was a mouth full.
Toothless' pupils narrowed and bared his teeth at the unknown humans with a growl. Just because he trusted his brother, doesn't mean he trusted all or even these humans. Even if his human seemed to. Especially the two that smelt of snow, something was different about them. He also noticed the bow and arrow the red head had and the way it was pointed at him.
Anna slightly squeaked in fear at the threatening growl. Elsa quickly got between the dragon and her sister but still maintained her distance from the girl, she didn't see the shocked look from Anna at her protectiveness nor the faint smile that grew. 'Elsa still does love me.' Anna thought happily.
"Name doesn't seem fitting." Wasabi squeaked out. His eyes locked onto the very sharp teeth that filled the Night Fury's maw.
"Wait. Is that… an actual Dragon?" Fred asked.
Hiccup took a second to answer, unsure how they'd react but something was telling him to trust them, that they wouldn't harm his friend. "Yes."
Fred was silent for a few seconds before giving a high pitched squeal and was in front of the boy and his Dragon with speed to match a Speed Stinger, startling them both.
"You have an actual DRAGON! I LOVE IT!" He shouted out with glee and seemed to dart around the puzzled Dragon, looking at every part of him. "This just keep getting better and better! You're seriously awesome, Triple H." Fred stated.
Toothless started to think this human was stranger than his own.
"Uh, "Triple H"?" Hiccup questioned as Fred's friends groaned.
"It's a thing he does, he gives nearly everybody Nicknames. And you just happened to have a name for him to rip off a wrestler." Wasabi informed him.
"Whoa, a real Dragon." Anna said in awe and slowly went towards the boy and his Dragon, ignoring Elsa's calls to stop, despite wanting to pull the younger girl away, Elsa still feared touching her sister in case her powers reacted.
Dragons were thought to be nothing more than myth or legend. But to see one up close, Anna wasn't going to miss this chance. "Can I?" she shyly but kindly asked both Dragon and boy as she reached her hand out slowly.
Hiccup looked to his friend, he trusted Toothless with his life and he knew that Toothless would never hurt an innocent person. This is what Hiccup wanted, for people to see past the fear of Dragons, to see past the sharp teeth and deadly claws and only see another living creature. This was the first step to a future that Hiccup wanted to see.
'Let's make a believer, bud.' Hiccup said in his head, and despite only knowing each other for such a short time, The Night Fury knew what Hiccup was saying just by looking at his face.
Toothless looked to the small, outstretched hand for a few moments before cooing calmly, signalling permission. At least this human asked rather than the tall blond male. He moved his head forward and pressed his snout against Anna's palm, gaining a gasp of amazement from the princess.
"Okay, so besides being kidnapped along with royalty, a living children's tale and a boy with his pet Dragon-." Gogo was cut off from as Hiccup levelled a hard glare at her.
"He's not a pet." He calmly yet firmly stated.
The racing enthusiast wasn't exactly intimidated by the glare, having seen harsher and uglier looks from men 10 times his size but his was certainly stronger. It was a look of anger, not out of ego or pride but for the sake of his friend. Gogo could respect that, she's used that kind of glare for her friends' behalf herself.
"Right. Sorry." She said before continuing "A boy with his Dragon friend. Does anyone know what or why for?" She asked rhetorically.
Before anyone could discuss this, more lights blipped to life, dropping more occupants.
Several dozen people screamed or yelled in shock at the sudden kidnapping and dropping onto the ground. The Villagers of Berk quickly got their feet and reached for their weapons only to realise they were missing. What trick of Loki was this?! Taken against their will without a weapon to defend themselves? Then again, they were Vikings! They didn't need tools of war, they had the bodies of warriors and their fists would do!
Valka and Cloudjumper quickly ascended to the rafts, staying in the dark as they observed the situation below, Valka wasn't sure what took her or why but she decided to stay hidden and merely observe for now.
Was… was that Stoick? Oh, things just got more difficult.
Astrid looked around widely, confused and angry, confused by the obvious and angry over the fact that she was so close to figuring out Hiccup's secret, only for this to happen. Whoever took them was going to meet her beloved axe.
When Hiccup saw his father and village had been transported to where they were, he quickly turned to Toothless as panic graced his features. "Toothless, we can't let my dad or anyone from Berk see you. You need to hide. Now!" Hiccup quietly shouted. Toothless looked around with haste before looking up and seeing the rafters above. He looked at Hiccup with concern who only nodded, saying that he would be fine. Toothless gave one more lick to his friend and made his way to the rafters, using the darkness to hide his movements.
Hiccup turned to the others and gave a pleading look for them to not mention the Dragon. They each nodded, promising to not say anything. They didn't know why Hiccup wanted to hide the large reptile but decided to go along with it. It must be for a good reason, especially if the fear and panic he briefly had told them anything.
North, Tooth fairy, Sandy and Bunnymund got over the confusion but were still wondering where they were and why people of past times were among them. The Viking age had died out years ago. Why was a towns worth here?
"I swear, if this is Frost's doing, I'm going to use his bones as my new boomerang." Bunnymund growled out, quick to suspect the cheeky Bugger.
"Let us not blame Jack too quickly, Bunnymund." North suggested.
King Agnarr quickly stood in front of his wife, Iduna, protectively and searched for his daughters. "Elsa? Anna? Anna! Elsa!" He called out.
"Mama, Papa!" Anna cried as she hurtled to the pair and let herself be enveloped in their hug. Elsa trailed behind carefully, she desperately wanted to join in the hug but her fears of hurting any of her family won over her desire to be a part of the hug.
Fergus quickly got to his feet and helped his wife and trio of boys up, shielding them from whatever danger may lurk. He noticed the three lords, MacGuffin, Macintosh and Dingwall along with their own heirs. What kind of trickery was this? Wait, where was Merida?!
"Merida?! Where are ya, Lass?" He called out.
"I'm right 'ere, Dad." She called back and ran up to him, accepting the hug he gave her as she gave one back.
"Where are we?"
"Is this an act of the Gods?"
"Are we dead?!"
Stoick decided to get ahead of the situation before punches were thrown, and that would be amongst his own people if he was being honest.
"SHUUUUUUT IIIIIT!" he bellowed, gaining everyone's attention as those closest to him rubbed their now sore ears.
'I get a feeling that dad would like him.' Merida thought, feeling a sense of déjà vu. She had no idea that said dad looked to Stoick with wide eyes.
"Right! I know we're all confused as to why we're here, or what even took us. But it would be best if we started to do a headcount and then sort us a way out of here." He said with full authority.
"Oh, there won't be any need for that." Someone said, his voice echoing over everyone else's.
The captives looked to see a man who wore a peculiar set of clothing. Only Jack, Hiro & his friends and Elsa & Anna knowing it to be a blue waist coat with a black button up shirt and black jeans. He wore fingerless gloves and had a dark full face visor hiding his features.
"Hello my… 3rd batch of guests? I have those from RWBY, the Avengers… Yep! 3rd! My 3rd group of watchers." The stranger said, though mostly to himself.
"Who are you?" Stoick asked carefully. He may be bull-headed and stubborn (Gobber's words) but he knew when to tread carefully. Especially when this could be the same one who took them all from their homes in mere seconds.
"Well, my full name is MadMan479R but you can just call me either Madman, 479R or 9R." he replied cheerfully.
"What kind of name is that?" Snotlout laughed obnoxiously.
"Really? You think I'm going to take lip from a guy named after the crap I pick from my nose and flick away?" Madman said which shut the arrogant Viking up. Though his laughter was quick to be silenced, his attitude was not.
"Hey! Who do you think you are?!" he snarled and charged at the figure with a raised fist and a pathetic war cry.
"Oh? A demonstration is required? Fine by me."
Many tried to stop the fool but it was too late. As Snotlout got within reach, Madman raised a single hand to him and simply flicked.
The action would only cause a sting of pain for only milliseconds followed by annoyance, this flick however sent Snotlout flying into a wall with a crash.
Everyone was shocked by the show of power. Despite who it was used on was nothing special, the act of sending a full body person into a wall 20 feet away with a mere finger was nothing to scoff at. Though Astrid did contemplate whether it was appropriate to smile at Snotlout's misfortune.
"I literally said I flick his namesake." Madman wiped the offending finger clean as the teen's parents helped him from the wall.
"Mom, Dad, the weird guy hit me. I'm thirsty." He said deliriously before his eyes rolled to the back of his head and slumped in their arms. Madman decided to be kind and snapped his fingers, restoring Snotlout to full health. "Whoa! What just happened?!" Snotlout looked around wildly.
"Yer big mout' got ye into trouble." Gobber said. Many rolling their eyes at the arrogant boy.
Madman clapped his hands to settle everyone down. "Now, I realise that many of you don't know some of your fellow guests so allow me to introduce everyone."
Madman cleared his throat before continuing.
"First and foremost, may I introduce the village of Berk, otherwise known as the Hairy Hooligan tribe. And chief amoung them: Stoick the Vast!" the Berkians cheered loudly, making the chamber shake as the sound echoed loudly. The volume was enough to rival a pack of Thunderdrums.
Stoick looked down to his side and expected to see Hiccup beside him, after all he was his heir and when being introduced, the heir or heiress is normally by the chief's side but only air occupied the space. That made him start to scan the crowd in a mild panic before turning a furious glare to his host.
"Where's Hiccup?" He demanded.
Gobber straightened, so did the masked rider who was still in the rafters. Hiccup? Where was he?!
Many of the Hooligans also started to look around for any sight of the boy.
"Hiccup?" one called out.
"Where are ya, lad?!"
"Toothpick! Get out 'ere!" Gobber said the last part.
"Why isn't he with us?" Stoick questioned.
Astrid frowned however. "He should be. A bright light took us all and I saw Hiccup be taken by that light as well."
"What? Where was this?"
"In a cove. I followed Hiccup ther-." Astrid was cut off as Stoick narrowed his eyes at her, she froze at his look.
"What do you mean you "followed Hiccup"?" Stoick remembered the outburst the young Hofferson girl had when Hiccup was picked to kill the dragon instead of her but he had ignored it for celebrating his son's victory. However, Hofferson's were prideful, the youngest Hofferson being a bit too prideful. "You weren't planning on doing something to my boy, were you?"
"N-No sir! I just had trouble believing how Hiccup had gotten so good at dragon training and wanted to see what he was doing. Im sure he is either getting extra training with some outside stranger or that he's cheat-."
"Are you accusing my son and your future chief, of cheating?" Astrid was treading on dangerous land here.
Fortunately, Hiccup came to her rescue. "I'm right here, Dad." Hiccup announced as he approached his father, albeit slowly, as though he was ready to break into a wild sprint in the other direction at any moment.
"Hiccup." Stoick breathed and hugged his son who was surprised by the action, especially since he hugged him in front of the whole village. Then again, he was finally the "Promising son" that Stoick always wanted. So maybe that Hiccup actually got some affection.
"And, along with those from Berk, may the person in the rafters come down please?" Madman looked up at the dark ceiling, many looking confused at this or followed his gaze.
Seconds dragged on until a person in strange armour, that resembled a dragon of some kind, used their staff to lower themselves from the rafter. Those with good eyes, like Stoick, Astrid and Merida, saw what looked like a claw help lower them down. The sight made the two Berkians narrow their eyes at the armoured stranger.
"For the safety of this individual, I won't reveal their identity but for now, feel free to address them as the Vigilante." Madman advised. The Vigilante nodded to Madman in gratitude, having to reveal who she was would only cause more pain.
"Yes, with their introduction done with, shall we continue with the royal family of the Kingdom of Arendelle?" Madman waved his hand over to said royal family.
King Agnarr maintained a strong face as he felt everyone's eyes on him and his family. "My name is Agnarr Martin, King of Arendelle." He said proudly. "This is my beloved wife, Queen Iduna and my children. Elsa and Anna, princesses of Arendelle." Each of the female royalties waved at the introduction, though Iduna's was more calm and professional whilst Anna's was more joyful and Elsa's was more reserved
"What's a King?" Tuffnut questioned.
"Well I assume that your Chief takes the role of leader for your tribe, a King is a similar title I lead and look after the people and subjects of Arendelle." Agnarr politely answered. While he was of royalty, he did not believe "Commoners" were "below" him. He treated his people with equal respect unless they were disrespectful themselves.
Madman waited to see of anyone had any more questions before moving on. "Next is the Kingdom of Dunbroch, from the highlands of Scotland. With King Fergus and Queen Elinor, with their children. Their eldest daughter, Princess Merida and their three sons, Princes Harris, Hubert and Hamish."
"Fergus?" Everyone looked to Stoick who had spoken in recognition. He approached the ginger yet greying King.
"Stoick! Took you a while to recognise me, old friend." Fergus laughed with open arms. Stoick accepted the manly hug with a laugh.
"Ah, how have you been? I see you managed to keep what's left of your limbs." Stoick chuckled.
Fergus joined in, finding the jab in all good nature. "I have been good. And is that really wee' Hiccup?" Fergus asked as he spotted the lanky teen.
"You know me?" Hiccup asked, perplexed.
"Aye, lad. Though no surprise that you don't remember me, you were only a baby and a tiny one at that when your father brought you along to meet up." Fergus smiled.
Elinor suddenly giggled. "Oh, Fergus, remember when he and Merida played as babies. It was so adorable." She gushed slightly as the two teens in question blushed, especially as some of the viewers snickered.
"We've met before?" Merida asked her father.
"Aye. Though like I said, the two of yee' were only babes, could barely speak, much less remember what was going on." Fergus answered.
"I see that you and Elinor got busy. Triplets? I already have a set of twins to deal with and their not even my kin." Stoick noted the 3 sons.
Madman quickly cut in before it became an hour long conversation. (Like going with your parents to the shops only for them to bump into old friends, you better have packed a sleeping bag because you were going to be there for a while.) "With the royal family of DunBroch are the Lords and heirs Macguffin, Machintosh and Dingwall, respectively." Madman said as said lords stepped forward with their heirs.
"You dinne' mention that you were friends with a Viking, King Fergus." Lord Macguffin said in a slightly accusing tone.
"Easy, Lord Macguffin. Stoick is one of the good Vikings. The only enemy they face are the dragons they face near their land." Fergus assured.
"Alright." Madman cut in before the Lords or Vikings tried picking a fight. "Next are the Guardians. Nicholas St. North, better known as Santa Claus-" a loud squeal interrupted Madman as Fred tackled North, though the mountain of a man didn't move an inch despite the collision.
"Santa! Oh! Oh! Can I get a sneak peek on my Christmas presents?!" Fred pleaded like an excited 8 year old. Gogo came over and plucked Fred off the grateful Guardian and sat him back down near her group.
Madman paused, as if to see if Fred had calmed down enough before starting again. "-Santa Claus, the Guardian of Wonder. Next is E. Aster Bunnymund, also known as the Easter Bunny. The Guardian of Hope." The Guardian himself only gave a curt nod with his arms crossed.
"Pft! He's a giant rabbit." Snotlout chortled along with others until a boomerang smacked his helmet off and flew back into Bunnymund's hand.
"And this rabbit can make you into a stew." The Guardian of Hope threatened, making the young Viking gulp in fear.
"Next is the fair and beautiful, Toothiana. The Tooth Fairy and Guardian of Memories." The human sized fairy buzzed around excitedly.
"Hi, like he said, my name is Toothiana." She greeted kindly, though she held back the urge to tell some of the audience to take better care of their teeth, she didn't want to be rude after all. Even if some of them could really benefit from it, especially the one with a stone tooth.
"And last of the Guardians is Mr Sandman himself. The Guardian of dreams." Madman introduced the golden spirit as said spirit began to use his gold dust to speak, though so few could understand what he was saying. Surprisingly it was Gothi who was amoung the few that could understand him, though it shouldn't be surprising seeing as Gothi spoke in a similar fashion, just not the same aesthetic.
Madman however wasn't finished with this group. "Along with the Winter Spirit, Jack Frost." Everyone turned to see the white haired boy who was casually leaning on his staff until he saw that everyone was watching him.
"Wait, you can all…" Jack then turned to his surprise host. "They can…?" Madman nodded and Jack leapt into the air in uncontrollable joy. Finally! People could see him! Yes the other teens and kids who were with him earlier could see him but now an entire tribe, two royal families, a group of friends and a cute blonde with long hair could all see him!
North, Sandy and Tooth all smiled while Aster only rolled his eyes and snorted.
Madman still had a few more guests to introduce so he had to keep a move on. "Now we move onto a group who are actually from a different era than most of you, roughly hundreds of years for those of Arendelle, Berk and DunBroch," Madman explained, making nearly everyone's eyes bulge at the news. Hundreds of years from the future?
"Yes, from the city of San Fransokyo, Hiro Hamada. A young and brilliant mind that can rival those three times his age and win. Along with his close friends, Gogo Tomago, a strong willed woman with an equally strong sense of loyalty to her friends. Wasabi, a kind hearted physics student. Honey Lemon, a woman who finds joy in making others happy and a chemistry whiz. Fred, you'll have trouble finding someone as loveable and friendly as this comic enthusiast. And last but not least, the greatest creation from the brother of Hiro, Baymax, a robot designed to help and care for those needing medical attention." Madman said at once.
"And last but not least, Rapunzel from the Kingdom of Corona." Madman finished off with his final guest.
Rapunzel grew red and shyly hugged her hair as all eyes turned to her. "Uh… hi!" she greeted.
"How does your hair get so long?" Ruffnut questioned.
"And how do you deal with it, it even looks like gold." Astrid couldn't imagine having hair like that, seemed impractical.
"Oh, well my mother never let me cut my hair, she said it was better like this." Rapunzel answered.
Everyone was sat, Hiccup beside his father and Gobber with the Berkian teens behind them, Astrid directly behind Hiccup as to keep an eye on him.
The royal families of Arendelle and DunBroch, along with the lords and their heir's sat together along with the Guardians and those from San Fransokyo sat in the second row.
The Vigilante resisted the urge to sit beside her son, fearing that it would only be awkward so she sat a distance but still close enough to keep an eye on Hiccup.
Rapunzel didn't really know anyone amoung the crowd and started to feel anxious and alone, until someone tapped her shoulder, she spun around to see Jack with his hands raised. "Whoa, calm down, killer. I was gonna ask if you wanted to sit with me? Seeing as you look like a lost kid in a mall." Rapunzel would have questioned what a 'Mall' was but Jack had already sat himself down and looked at Rapunzel expectantly. The long haired blonde couldn't say no to the face the Spirit was giving her and gave in.
The pair were then surprised by Merida plopping down loudly beside them. "I'm not really talking to me ma' right now. So if yur offering free seats…" Merida said. Jack and Rapunzel only shared a shrug of the shoulder before smiling. "Welcome to the club!" Jack cheered.
"Can't help but we're missing a fourth person." Rapunzel mentioned.
"Really? I was thinking the same." Jack said perplexed.
"Aye, me as well." Merida agreed.
Over to the Arendelle Family, Elsa called over her father to talk in private, once away from prying ears, Anna in particular, Elsa spoke to her father. "Father, I think I found someone who could help me with my… abilities." To Elsa, she saw it as a curse but knew not to say so before her parents, knowing they hated for her to call her powers so.
Agnarr grew curious at this. "Truly? Who?" he questioned.
"The white haired boy, Jack Frost. He has a similar power, I was hoping that maybe he could teach me to control my powers, could you ask for me?" Elsa meekly yet hopefully asked.
Agnarr could never deny his daughter when she was in such distraught. "Of course, my daughter, after this first showing, I'll ask for his aid." He promised.
Elsa grew anxious having to wait. "Can't you ask now?" she didn't mean to sound bratty but she was desperate to get help as soon as possible.
"I understand your feelings, Elsa, but I feel that it would be better to request for his help when we have a moment alone." The King reasoned. 'And to see the kind of person he could be. I won't have my daughter's fears be used as a tool for manipulation'.The King thought protectively.
Elsa reluctantly nodded and sat beside her father, keeping to herself and having her parents sit between her and her sister. 'It's for her own safety.' Elsa mentally told herself.
The portal began but only darkness showed, from out the black void, voices could be heard.
"...breaking a whole unit Fire at will."
"Squad 2, pick your target."
"There's too many, Captain!"
"Watch your stabilizer, Gold 6"
"Anybody, cover me I've got two vultures on my tail."
"We gotta hold them here"
"Watch your left!"
"I can't shake them! I'm hit! I'm hit!"
"Where's our reinforcements?!"
The wild chatter of voices echoing in the darkness made many feel uneasy, the sounds of adrenalin, panic and fear.
Stoick knew all too well what it was, having heard such commotion during the Dragon raids or the battles that Berk had endured during his lifetime.
It was the sounds of a war.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
"S-sorry, but what's a Galaxy?" Fishlegs questioned.
"Well, your home is called a world, or rather planet. That planet resides in a Solar System, a Solar System is a collection of planets and moons that orbit around the sun-". MadMan was cut off by the grouchy Berkian elder known as Mildew.
"You fool, the sun goes around the world!" he sneered.
"Yeah, it really doesn't, the sun is far larger than you can imagine and so it has a gravitational pull stronger than your world's, meaning the planet orbits the sun. Now can I continue or do you require another lesson?" Madman said as many snickered at the old man who had a frown on his face at the "disrespect"
"As I was saying, a galaxy is a collection of millions to billions and even trillions of suns, meaning countless solar systems and thus a near endless number of worlds, some holding life like yours does whilst some a barren wastelands. Each with different environments. Some worlds are completely covered in snow, with temperatures that could kill a person in mere minutes. Some being warmer climates to being sandy dune landscapes as far as the eye can see, some even holding two suns." MadMan explained.
Many from primitive times were feeling very small, to think they were just a lifeform on a random world in a place that holds an infinite existence. Can make anyone feel small or insignificant truly.
STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS
Nearly everyone flinched and covered their ears from the sudden blast of music at high volume.
"Ah! Son of a bitch!"
"Aknuu! There are children present!"
"What?!"
"I said- "there are-"
"What?!"
"A galaxy divided!..."
Striking swiftly after the Battle of Geonosis...Count Pitch's droid army has seized control of the major hyperspace lanes...separating the Republic from the majority of its clone army."
"With few clones available...the Jedi generals cannot gain a foothold in the Outer Rim...as more and more planets choose to join Pitch's Separatists."
"Droids?"
"Clones?"
"Haven't a clue."
The Guardians straighten in their seats at the sound of Pitch's name.
"What is he doing there?" Aster growled.
"For bad reasons, I suspect." North narrowed his eyes.
The Portal then showed a space setting, with a collection of ships known as Venator-Class Star Destroyer as they were all docked around a Haven-class medical station.
"Weird looking ships they are." Lord Dingwall said.
Madman once again stepped in. "And very large, you could have your entire fleet of ships and I should imagine that just one of these Venator ships would make such a fleet look tiny, even the Berserker tribe's fleet."
Stoick couldn't believe it, just one of these 'Star destroyers' could outmatch the Berserker Armada?! He had seen the Armada himself and was entirely thankful of Odin that Oswald was the Chief but shuddered at the thought of Dagur becoming Chief, the boy was blood thirsty but even beyond Viking standards.
In one of the Venator ships, known as the Resolute, was Admiral Wullf Yularen, naval officer assigned to Jack Frost. He walked up towards a holo table with the images of Master Gothi and Aster on screen.
"Oh look, it's Elder Gothi!" the Berkians cheered at the sight of one of their own.
"Wonder what the old bat is doing?" Gobber received a swift bash to the head by said old bat who calmly went back to her seat as though nothing happened.
"But why are they blue and flickering?" Elinor asked.
"Many things have come a long way with technology. Communications being one and them and arguably the most advanced. Instead of letters of parchment and ink, people can communicate as though the other person was before them, despite being shown on the holo table, Masters Gothi and Aster are actually on a different planet. The technology they have can project images and sound to others. However certain requirements are needed in order to do so." Madman said.
"Look, Aster. It's you!" Tooth pointed out as Bunnymund smiles smugly.
"Guess I'm more important to be shown first than some old man with a beer gut." North looked affronted with the insult.
"Beer gut?! I have you know, this is body of steel!" he declared while flexing.
"Right, from all those milk and cookies."
"Exactly! Milk make bones strong!"
"We need to make contact with General Haddock." Aster said.
"Huh, suppose they're talking 'bout you, Stoick?" Gobber asked.
"Or this kid." Jack gestured to Hiccup with his staff.
Laughter erupted from Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut from this. "Useless, a General? Ha!" Snotlout laughed cruelly.
Hiccup only rolled his eyes, not caring for the words of the three idiots, not seeing the shocked and somewhat incensed faces from those outside of Berk.
"We've been unable to reach him." Admiral Yularen informed. "It could be a solar storm...or they're rebooting their communication system. I'm sure the blackout is temporary."
"A messenger, we are sending, with important orders for General Haddock." Gothi explained.
This shocked the Vikings.
"She talked?!"
"But Gothi has never spoken a word! Ever!"
"If only our Gothi spoke, wouldn't have to try and figure out what her drawings mean."
Madman put an end to the confusion. "Like I said, different realities. In this one, Gothi is capable of speech, just also happens to not speak normally." He muttered the last part to himself there.
"See to it that she gets there as fast as possible." Aster ordered.
"Yes, sir. As soon as we load relief supplies." Yularen assured.
"No time, there is, immediately, the messenger must go." Gothi said.
"I understand, sir." Yularen said. "I will personally take an unloaded ship to drop her off then return to pick up my reinforcements."
The scene changed to show a white and blue droid, it let out a whistle before turning away in a hurry, for it was in the middle of a battle field! The battle was taking place on the planet of Christophsis.
"Whoa, look at that place, look at those towers!" Fishlehgs gasped.
"They reach the sky!" A Viking pointed out.
"How are they able to build something like that?" another asked.
"Well, it's the future, maybe they just can." Gobber reminded.
The clone army were fighting back against the menacing droid army.
"What was that thing?" Anna asked.
"I think that was some kind of robot, a droid in term of definition." Hiro answered.
"Oh… what's a droid?" the pre-teen asked.
"A machine made of metal and wires and circuits that runs on a form of power, electricity if you will and can perform actions, ranging from easy to complex, depending on the design of it and its programming. And before you ask, programming is what determines the droid's purpose. Like Baymax for example." Hiro gestured to the large, white robot next to him.
"Hello, I am Baymax. Your personal, healthcare companion. My programming is to help and assist those in need of medical assistance." Baymax waved whilst many were stunned at the sight of the machine.
"Looks like a giant marshmallow." Merida said.
Men in white armour lay dead on the ground as smoke and dust nearly covered the air around them. Fallen tanks lay in heaps.
Those still alive fought with everything they had.
"What kind of weapons are those?" Astrid asked.
"As time moved on, forms of combat changed as well. Instead of axes and swords, guns were invented, they could fire small, metal projectiles at incredible speeds that could penetrate the human body and be incredibly dangerous. Depending on where you are shot it can either cause immense pain or death or both. Imagine the arrow heads on your arrows just without the shaft and instead of tension from a wire, it uses a highly explosive powder to fire the projectile, or bullet it is called. But once again times changed and instead of bullets, the people managed to find a gas that, once super-heated, can turn into a laser projectile that can pierce through much tougher material and be even deadlier. The weapons they use are called blaster which can fire these lasers at far distances, depending on the make of the blaster that is." Madman answered.
"Go, go, go, go, go!" a random clone cried.
From the dust cloud, a young man raced out of it. It was the young Jedi Knight Jack Frost.
Jack was surprised to see himself, he didn't imagine he'd be shown. And he looked older as well! At least 19 or 20. Can you blame his excitement? Being trapped as a 14 year old for 300 hundred years, you would want to age a bit as well.
Beside him were two soldiers who managed to keep up with him, one had blue paint added to his armour, his brother painted orange. These two were Captain Rex and Commander Cody.
He came to a stop at the sight before him. A small army of fast approaching droids. Some skinny, easily cannon fodder, behind them were more intimidating droid, bigger and stronger than the others following the humanoid droids were the three legged, Magna Tri-droids. 3 massive walking cannons.
"Odin's beard!" Spitelout exclaimed.
"Those are battle droids. As Hiro explained, each droid type are different due to their programming. These droids are used a soldiers, they feel no fear, no pain, nor empathy. Their only objective is to follow the orders of the Separatist army and fight against the tyranny of the Republic to win the war." Madman informed the audience.
"Can you believe it? An army of machines!" Gobber nudged Stoick.
"Aye it is baffling. But thankfully we have no need for them. We Vikings are strong enough as it is." Stoick stated proudly.
"They're back!" Jack yelled out to his friend and former master, Hiccup Haddock, who ran up to him.
The sight of the older Hiccup left many Berkians speechless. This was Hiccup?! But this man was far taller, while skinny, looked to have some strong build and was, as many women thought, handsome. The beard certainly earned some points.
"Is that Hiccup?"
"I've heard of growth spurts but this is ridiculous."
"Wouldn't mind waking up to that face every morning." One female Viking said, many nodded in agreement.
"Hubba, hubba!" Ruffnut swooned, making Tuffnut look at her in confusion before he looked back at the sight with a tilted head. "Whoa, what happened to Hiccup?
Snotlout groaned at the sight of his runt of a cousin, masking the jealousy at how Hiccup turned out. "Aw man, Useless is in this? How come I'm not? I'm clearly the better choice." Snotlout bragged as he flexed his non-existent muscles.
Astrid rolled her eyes and pinched the underside of his bicep, where the skin was sensitive, making him squeak in pain and rub the now sore spot.
"He was my teacher?" Jack asked his host.
"Yes, Hiccup's former master, Finn Hofferson…" The Hofferson family straighten at the name of Finn, Astrid in particular wanting to know more. "Saw great potential in Jack when he was younger and offered to be his Master but was killed shortly after by an enemy of the Jedi, the Sith. The Sith in question was Darth Viggo. Finn's dying wish was for Hiccup to take Jack as his apprentice and so, Hiccup followed that wish and the two have been close, almost like brothers." Madman said.
Astrid clenched her fist at the news of her uncle once again dying in some other world and vowed that if she ever met this "Viggo" he would pay dearly. In her blind anger, Astrid levelled a glare at Hiccup, feeling as though he should have been there to help Finn in the other world.
Jack turned to Hiccup with arms spread. "Brother!" He jokingly cried out with a smile. Hiccup couldn't help but join in the laughter.
"I told you this victory was too easy." Hiccup reprimanded his former padawan as he got a look at the advancing force "We never should have sent that ship back for supplies."
Jack had a counter to that. "It wasn't my idea to send the ship back." Despite the oncoming fight, he had a smile on his face.
"Of course he'd be smiling. Can't take anything seriously." Aster snorted.
Jack, in a moment of maturity, stuck his tongue out at the humanoid rabbit. Jack took a minute to enjoy Rapunzel's giggles, happy he made someone laugh.
"All right, men. Second wave incoming." Hiccup stated to the rest of his troops.
"Rex, you and your men follow me." Jack ordered, Rex nodding in response and followed the young Jedi Knight.
"Cody, battle positions!" Hiccup ordered as well.
"Up to the front!" Cody yelled as he charged forward.
Stoick leaned forward, his focus entirely on the alternate Hiccup, if he truly was a General in a war, Stoick wanted to see how well he led his men. Hiccup was going to be the future Chief of Berk after all. He knew that many wanted Snotlout to be the heir instead but Stoick wasn't blind, yes the Jorgenson boy was stronger and more Viking like but he had the patience of a toddler and had a mouth bigger than his muscles. He feared that Snotlout would start more wars with neighbouring tribes due to his massive ego and wouldn't be able to properly lead Berk.
Stoick knew that what Hiccup lacked in the physical department, he more than made up in brains but he just didn't do things the right way, the Viking way.
The army of droids marched their way towards where the republic forces were. Each of their steps sounding off, a sound that some clones have come to dread, a march of death and destruction. They were brutal with their assault, never stopping, never considering retreat, even as they were being blasted away by Republic artillery.
"My goodness, they really do not stop." Elinor looked on in slight fear, she could imagine the horror of such an army approaching her home and people, the clanging of hundreds of killers marching without guilt of the bloodshed they would commit.
A whole row of Clone Troopers got into position and fired at the droids, with Cody looking over the battlefield. Troops were gunned down before they even levelled their blasters, but this didn't deter the others as they fought on. As they were firing at the droids, a couple of clones riding on AT-RT's jumped over the trench and charged towards the droids. But the decision proved to be a fatal mistake as they were rained down upon by enemy fire.
Up in the front, Hiccup was with Cody as he blocked the blaster fire with his weapon. A lightsaber. The energy based sword emitted a blade of laser which was coloured green around the edges and a pure white in the centre.
"Whoa, what kind of weapon is that?" Tuffnut felt the urge to find one and see what kind of destruction it could cause.
"A laser sword! That is awesome!" Fred cheered.
Madman could feel the rage from thousands of fans due to the description Fred gave. "The lightsaber, a Jedi's tool and trusted weapon from a more civilised age. Instead of steel, it emits a powerful and dangerously hot blade of light from a crystal inside the hilt of the sabre. The blade has no actual weight to it and can cut through nearly anything like it was butter. It can also double as defence as it can deflect the blaster bolts from enemies."
Hiccup and Gobber were amazed by the weapon. Hiccup himself had a similar idea, a collapsible blade that could reside within the handle of the sword, good for storage and less time it would take to draw the entire blade from your belt or sheath.
The only problems were that due to it needing separate pieces of the blade to collapse instead of being a solid piece, its frame would be weaker and if he added more metal to compensate for it, it would need a larger handle to store it meaning less control of it in hand.
But Hiccup wasn't deterred, maybe if he found a metal that was stronger yet lighter than the average metal used for weapons.
He then turned to the clones and raised his fist up, causing the clones to reign down more fire onto the droids. "Fire!" one commanded as they all let loose.
R2 then made his way towards the location where the AV-7 Antivehicle Cannon were at as they blasted away the droids. R2 then rolled right next to a Clone, who causally patted R2' head as he continued to watch the fight unfold.
"Those must be their version of catapults." Fergus stroked his fuzzy face.
The Droids kept their attack as some clones went for over, only to be blasted away by the CIS drones.
Hiccup deflected blaster bolts that headed for him, even from the gigantic Octuptarra who kept firing once from each nozzle of its head. Its more powerful laser causing a bit of strain on him after stopping such a strong blast.
The warriors of the audience were impressed by the swordsman skills of Hiccup, the fast reaction times, the precision used to deflect the small bolts of lights and strength in his stance and hold.
"Frost should have attacked by now!" Cody stated after no sign of the young knight while firing at the droids.
"Don't worry! He knows the plan!" Hiccup assured as he kept blocking the incoming fire.
Up above on one of the buildings of the Crystal City, was Jack Frost, Captain Rex and the rest of the 501st men, looking down at the battle below.
"What's our plan of attack, sir?" Rex asked his Jedi General.
Jack then gave his men a smirk. "Follow me." The white haired Jedi then leapt off the building and landed right on top of the Octuptarra Droid, the middle one of the pack. He activated his lightsaber and faced the similar droid that followed behind.
Jack's lightsaber was different than his master's. His was a double ended lightsaber with an electric blue hue, he wielded the longer weapon like a staff instead of a sword.
"Wait, his weapon is like a staff and has a different colour." Anna said.
"Well noticed." Madman acknowledged. "As the Jedi makes their own lightsaber, they create it in a way and style that fits them. The source of power for every lightsaber is a kyber crystal, each kyber crystal is unique, as they choose the Jedi. Some like Hiccup find only one, while others like Jack find two. And so, Jack is capable of either having two lightsabers or a double sided lightsaber and the decision was based off Jack's nature, thus he has a double sided lightsaber.
The colour of the blade is also based off the wielder. Green means that the Jedi is a Consular, a Jedi who prefers to reflect on the mysteries of the Force and fight the dark side at its heart.
Blue means a Jedi Guardian, a Jedi who uses the Force on a more physical level.
Yellow is a Jedi Sentinel, a Jedi who has honed their skills in a balance of combat and scholarly.
Red however, they are only unique to Force wielders who have fallen to the dark side. In their rage and hate, they corrupt the crystal with their hatred and make the blade turn red.
There are more with each their own meaning but I'll explain them if we see it." Madman promised, as he noted how some were getting lost as he explained.
"So we've seen these lightsabers be either a sword or staff, could one be designed like an axe?" Astrid asked, her interest peaked.
"Well… it is possible however it would be impractical. The blade may not be like how yours is and the axe's body would be a weak point as all an enemy would need to do is destroy the handle to render the lightsaber unusable. Also, Jedi are peacekeepers. So wielding an axe doesn't paint the most peaceful of pictures. Some Jedi even hate using lightsabers in general." Madman said.
"Come on, then!" Rex said as he and the rest of his mean jumped all the way down to the battle with the help of their jet packs. They began firing towards the Octuptarra Droid, gaining its attention as they laid down fire on the droid.
The Octuptarra droid positioned last pointed its barrel towards Jack and began to fire at him. But it did very little as the Jedi just blocked the attacks with his lightsaber.
"Come on, men!" Hiccup yelled out as he raised his lightsaber up and pointed it towards the enemy. Rallying his men into battle.
Stoick nodded in approval, a true leader must be willing to be the one to charge in to battle before all others, to have his army behind him instead of in front of him.
The Clone began to start their assault. One Clone stood up and gestured his fellow Clones forward. Sadly that made him a target as his head was met with a red laser, blasting the helmet clean off.
"Ohhh!" many hissed in sympathy.
"He made himself a target there." Astrid pointed out but still felt bad to see someone who was only trying to rally his fellow soldiers die so suddenly.
The Clone Troopers emerged from the trench, running towards the Droid Army, the air was filled with the battle cries of the clones as they charged into blaster fire and explosions without a moment's hesitation, even as they were losing men they pushed forward.
"Ah, they'd definitely deserve an afterlife in Valhalla there." Arne, Astrid's father, nodded.
"So many dead and for what? What could this war be worth?" Rapunzel trembled, being locked up, she had never seen war or death.
It was unsettling for her.
Once the Clones neared the droids, they were quick to gun down any in their sights, along with Commander Cody and Hiccup, who sliced down droids along-side his troopers.
One clone became the main focus as he fought on. His firearm was shot and destroyed but that didn't stop him. Even without a weapon, he decided to fight the enemy with his bare hands.
"A true warrior, he isn't deterred by a lack of weapon, his bare hands are his weapons!" Spitelout cheered.
He made a run for the B1 battle droid ahead of him and delivered a blow to it face.
Sadly his effort was in vain. His hand broke upon slamming into the metal of the killing machine. He was then shot while he yelled out in pain.
Many flinched at the scream of pain and abrupt end to the soldier's life.
"Right, those things are made of metal. Guess they can't punch 'em ta death." Gobber said.
"Come on, you clankers!" A clone exclaimed as he crouched down and shot down in his path. He got shot down but another clone took his place.
Hiccup kept slicing down the droids in his path, while Cody rush towards the droid in front of him and bashed any that got too close with his gun, kick another one from behind and swing around and bashed another droid in front of him and fire his gun at the droids in front of him, along with his men.
Astrid took a liking to this soldier, the way he moved without pause or hesitation, his mind focused only on the fight at hand. She wished she could actually meet this Cody and spar with him.
Meanwhile, Jack was still on top of the Octuptarra droid and blocked shots from the other one behind him. Jack then repositioned onto the barrel of the walking tank.
The other Octuptarra let out a rapid fire of blasts at Harry who in turn, blocked each one. With one wave of his sabre, he slashed at the droid he stood on its dome, leaving a scorched mark and weak point. The Octuptarra droid tried to throw the Jedi off its frame by turning its head around, causing the other Octuptarra to fire on the weak spot.
This made the Octuptarra Droid holding Jack explode. Jack then jumped off the nozzle, onto the leg of the giant droid and made a massive leap onto the next Octuptarra Droid. One down, two to go.
"Good work, Jack!" North praised the winter spirit.
The Separatist Army kept going on with their fight to the Clone Troopers who also laid down fire with their own artillery, using the cannons they had against the droids, putting a massive dent into the droid forces.
Hiccup moved with the grace of an experienced swordsman, cutting down more and more droids in his way, deflecting shots and slicing them in half. After dispatching another Super battle droid He looked up to see Jack blocking fire from his spot above.
Eventually, due to the combined efforts of Frost and his men, the Octuptarra that was firing at them then crashed onto the ground.
Jack then preformed a massive leap and then sliced down the leg of the Octuptarra he was on top of. As he landed on the ground, cutting one unlucky battle droid that stood in his way.
He then regrouped with Hiccup and the rest of his men. "We're gonna need reinforcements." He pointed out, while they had pretty much destroyed this wave of droids, more were coming for them, with more fire power and numbers.
"We haven't been able to get through to the Admiral." Hiccup said with annoyance.
Meanwhile, R2 moved away from the area he was at. The Cannons reign down onto a coming mass of AAT's coming towards them, being blasted away.
One of the tanks held the leader of this battle, Whorm Loathsome whose tank suddenly stopped.
"Urgh, what is that?" Snotlout cried.
"As I said, many different forms of life on different worlds. His make is just different than yours, most due to environment and evolution." Madman said.
"Well he looks ugly as Hel'." The cocky Viking had a disgusted look on his face.
"First off, racist. Second, he could say the same to you, in his eyes, you would be the strange looking one."
"Why are we stopping?" The general asked the droid on his holocom.
"We cannot get past their cannons, sir." The droid informed.
"Cannons? This will never do." The general stated. "We must pull back and set up our deflector shields."
"Turn the troops around!" Loathsome ordered as another tank got blown up and hid back inside the AAT.
"Retreat! Retreat!" A b1 droid of a higher rank ordered as he and the rest of the Battle droids turned around and ran away from the battle sight.
"Roger, roger. Roger, roger." The droids said as they began to pull away from the fight.
"They're pulling back." Jack said as the last of the droids ran away from the scene.
Seconds later, a republic shuttle flew by over the sight and landed somewhere on the grounds. "Looks like help has arrived." Hiccup quipped as he disengaged his lightsaber, R2 rolling on sight and beeped at the pair of them.
Hiccup and Jack then walked over to where the ship landed, along with a couple of troops with them. "Our cruiser must be back." Hiccup guessed.
"Which means we'll be able to get our reinforcements." Jack clenched his fist, reinforcements would certainly spell victory for the Republic in this battle.
"Then it looks like our problems are solved. Fresh troops, new supplies...and perhaps they brought my new Padawan with them." Hiccup said with hope while Jack was a bit sceptical.
"What's a padawan?" Elsa questioned.
"Well to understand that, you must understand what a Jedi is. A Jedi is a being with a connection to a power known as 'The Force' a life energy that binds all living things together, Jedi in particular are more in tuned with the Force and can utilise it. Just as both Hiccup and Jack were fighting, they were using their connection to the Force to help them block the blaster fire. Those who can use the Force can perform amazing feats, such as moving objects without really touching them or sense emotions and their surroundings and many other things.
But to truly use this, they must learn how to. A Youngling is the first level, a child who has been taken into the Jedi order and trained in how to control the Force, they are then moved onto the position of Padawan. A Padawan is chosen by a more experienced Force wielder and trains under them. Jack himself was Hiccup's Padawan and is now a Jedi knight, while Hiccup is a Jedi Master." Madman answered.
"So these Jedi are a type of warrior." Astrid asked.
"Yes and no. Jedi do not seek violence but are rather peacekeepers of the Galaxy, only resorting to violence when all other options have been exhausted."
"Hiccup was a teacher?" Fishlegs asked.
"Yes and has made impressive progress among his fellow Jedi, his skills in duelling are matched by few and is a wise teacher." Madman said.
"You really think it's a good idea to bring a Padawan learner into all this?" Jack asked.
"I spoke to Master Gothi about it. You should put in a request for one. You'd make a good teacher." Hiccup suggested to the Jedi Knight.
Jack grimaced at the thought of that kind of responsibility, the job was basically making sure to not fuck up in helping the student grow and he wasn't one for responsibility, he was more snow balls and fun times after all.
"Jack, a good teacher? I'll shave myself if it's true." Aster scoffed with crossed arms.
"Can I get that in writing?" Jack requested.
"I have it in writing, recorded and video evidence." Madman said with a hidden grin that matched Jack's.
Jack just chuckled at this. "No, thanks." He just couldn't see himself with a student. Too much hassle.
"Jack, teaching is a privilege. And it's part of a Jedi's responsibility to help train the next generation." Hiccup informed wisely. The transport opening before them.
"A Padawan would just slow me down." The former padawan disagreed, making Hiccup shake his head.
The entry door slowly started to open up, and inside it was a young boy waiting. He walked out to the light to reveal he was a young Padawan, surprising the two Jedi.
"Hiro!" Hiro's friends cheered, making the boy blush until he blinked in realization. "Wait, I'm a Jedi?"
"Hiro's a space monk!" Fred gave the younger man a good hearted noogie, making Hiro laugh as he tried to get out of the hold.
Wasabi then realized the implication of Hiro being shown. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Why is he being involved in a war?" Wasabi then quickly cut Hiro off before the younger man could argue. "I know you're more capable than some who are older than you, but this is a war, you shouldn't be there, nobody should be involved in war." Wasabi strongly said.
"A youngling?" Hiccup questioned. He looked so young, was the Jedi order in such a desperate situation to allow such young Jedi be on the front lines?
"See?" Wasabi said.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Jack asked with a raised brow as the padawan approached them and R2 beeped.
"I'm Hiro." The young Jedi introduced himself to the two Jedi. "Master Gothi sent me. I was told to tell both of you that you must get back to the Jedi Temple immediately. There's an emergency."
"What could be a bigger emergency than a battle?" Hiccup asked.
"Maybe they ran out of ice?" Jack joked.
"Well, I don't know if you've noticed, but we're in a bit of an emergency right here." Jack said.
"Yes, our communications have been a bit unreliable but we've been calling for help." Hiccup informed.
"Master Gothi hadn't heard from you so she sent me to deliver the message." Hiro said.
Jack sighed in annoyance. "Oh, great. They don't even know we're in trouble." He exclaimed.
"Maybe you can relay a signal through the cruiser that just dropped me off." Hiro suggested, making both Hiccup and Jack look at him, intrigued.
"Trust Hiro to help out." Gogo smiled
The screen then changed to a space battle between the Separatists and the Republic, as starships blasted at one another.
"Things aren't looking too good up there." Agnarr grimaced.
Admiral Yularen was observing the battle from his frigate. "We need to go back and pick up our reinforcements. We've got to get out of here!" Yularen exclaimed.
Meanwhile, a clone navy office was speaking with the Jedi on a holocall. "We're under attack by Separatist warships...but I'll try to make contact with the Jedi Temple for you. Stand by."
On the grounds of the world, the three Jedi waited patiently for the message to come through to them. A few awkward glances were shared to one another until a hologram of Master Gothi appeared.
"Awkward." Snotlout stage whispered.
"Master Haddock, glad Hiro found you, I am." Gothi spoke to the Jedi.
"Master Gothi, we are trapped here, and vastly outnumbered." Hiccup reported. "We are in no position to go anywhere or do anything. Our support ships have all been destroyed."
"Send reinforcements to you, we will- seeee- zzzz- pppp-" Gothi said but her transmission was fizzling in and out as her holocall was getting cut off.
"Master Gothi? Master Gothi?!" Hiccup tried to keep the connection going on his end but it was ultimately useless.
Meanwhile, the battle above raged on. The Republic was stilling fending off the attack from the Separatists. "We've lost the transmission, sir." The Clone naval officer informed the Jedi.
Another officer entered the room. "We have to leave orbit immediately. More enemy ships have just arrived."
"We'll get back to you as soon as we can." The officer said and the transmission turned itself off.
"Well, I guess we'll have to hold out a little longer." Jack shook his head in dismay. Hiro gave a look to the Jedi knight to which Hiccup noticed.
"My apologies, young one. It's time for a proper introduction." Hiccup said in a firm and yet gentle manner, knowing that the youngling was put in a rather tense place.
"I'm the new Padawan learner. I'm Hiro Hamada." The young Jedi in training introduced himself.
"I'm Hiccup Haddock, your new master." The elder Jedi introduced himself.
"I'm at your service, Master Haddock..." Hiro offered. "But I'm afraid I've actually been assigned to Master Frost." Hiro said as he pointed right at Jack, much to his shock and horror.
"What? No, no, no. There must be some mistake." Jack denied, shaking his head in response at the nonsense. "He's the one who wanted the Padawan." Jack accused, pointing at his former master.
Hiro wasn't done though. "No, Master Gothi was very specific. I'm assigned to Jack Frost, and he is to supervise my Jedi training." Hiro explained. Jack found the news shocking while Hiccup was finding too much amusement of Jack's predicament.
"Oh, sure. Find my suffering funny." Jack mock pouted.
"But that doesn't make any sen-" Jack tried to say but was stopped by Hiccup.
"We'll have to sort this out later." Hiccup quickly said. "It won't be long before those droids figure out a way around our cannons." He reminded the two that they were still in the middle of a battle.
"I'll check on Rex in the lookout post." Jack huffed out, peeved by the very clear mix up.
"You'd better take him with you." Hiccup said, motioning to the young padawan, Jack shook his head and went anyway, Hiro following right along with him with a somewhat smug smile.
The portal changed to a different Republic outpost of the Christophsis city, where Clone Troopers were stationed around and scouted to see if they were any Droid movements. Rex was currently getting the updates from his men, via hand signals, due to said soldiers being scattered about in different buildings and to avoid the risk of the Separatists intercepting comm chatter.
"See?!" Astrid pointed to the portal as her friends groaned in unison. "Hand signals would be a massive help!" she tried to get them to understand.
"Yeah but we don't understand what you're trying to say!" Snotlout argued.
"We don't even read, how do you expect us to know what you're waving at us?" Ruffnut said.
"By practicing!" Astrid urged only for the other teens to groan again.
The Captain of the 501st turned around to his Jedi General in front of him, along with Hiro.
"Ah, wasn't that lad just on the star thingy?" Gobber asked.
"Nope, that was a clone." Madman said.
"Is clone another word for twin?"
"Actually, now that I think of it, many of those people in the ship looked alike."
"How many twins did their mother have?" one Viking said perplexed.
Madman quickly stopped the commotion. "No, let me explain. A clone is a manmade creation, with a few strands of DNA, that's what makes you, you, by the way, the people that created the clones were able to replicate it and make other people, clones being the technical term. They share the same features however, many develop different personalities due to how they grow. They are also grown at an accelerated pace, allowing a clone to be at the physical age of twenty or so years whilst actually being only 10 or so years old. The Republic used the Clones to be their army, which have been created to be stronger, faster and more efficient than any normal drafted army."
"So they all look like him?" Ruffnut purred at the image of the clone.
Tuffnut looked disgusted at his sister before calling out. "Mom! Ruff's being weird again!"
"Captain Rex is himself a clone. The original being a bounty hunter known as Eret. They chose him due to his skills and reputation in his career." Madman said.
"Eret, eh?" Ruffnut wanted to find this Eret herself.
"Mom!"
"What's the status, Rex?" Jack asked for an update.
"Quiet for now, sir." Rex informed his Jedi General. "They're gearing up for another assault." Rex then noticed the younger male who was with Jack. "Who's the youngling?"
"I'm Master Frost's Padawan. My name is Hiro Hamada." Hiro introduced himself again.
Rex then gave Jack a questioning look. "Sir, I thought you said you'd never have a Padawan." He recalled, knowing his General's opinion of having a Padawan.
"There's been a mix-up. The youngling isn't with me." Jack said firmly, stubbornly refusing the reality of the situation.
"Now I can see how 'e's 'Iccup's student, 'e's just as stubborn." Gobber jested.
Hiro was getting annoyed by the term.
"Yeah, I'm fourteen and I can't be more than, what, five years younger than you?" Hiro pointed out.
"Well, to be fair, biologically, I'm fourteen but chronologically, I'm over three hundred years old." Jack admitted.
"You're fourteen?!" Hiro said shocked. "What the hell? How come you look eighteen at least while I practically still have baby fat?!" Hiro found this to be completely unfair.
"Yeah, you're like a plushie." Gogo teased.
"Stop calling me that!" Hiro demanded with a cross look until it turned teasing. "You're stuck with me, Frosty."
Rex tried to hide his laughter while Jack grew further annoyed. "What did you just call me?" Jack demanded. "Don't get snippy with me, little one." Jack warned. "You know, I don't even think you're old enough to be a Padawan."
"He hates the nickname "Frosty"? Have to remember that." Aster smirked.
"Really? Real original, you walking, talking taxidermy." Jack shot back, making Aster lose his smirk.
"Well, maybe I'm not, but Master Gothi thinks I am." Hiro replied.
"Well, you're not with Master Gothi now. So, if you're ready, you better start proving it." Jack said, strictly. He then turned to Rex. "Captain Rex will show you how a little respect can go a long way." He said, throwing rex under the bus.
"Uh...Right." Rex said with some unease. "Come on, youngling."
"Padawan." Hiro muttered but followed the clone captain regardless.
The screen then changed to Hiro and Rex walking through the area where the cannons are stationed, various clones going about their duties.
"Have you thought about moving that line back, Captain? They'd have better cover that way." Hiro recommended.
"Thanks for the suggestion, but General Frost thinks they're fine where they are." Rex said.
"So, if you're a Captain and I'm a Jedi then, technically, I outrank you, right?" Hiro slyly asked with a smirk.
"Experience outranks everything, lad." Arne wisely spoke.
"In my book, experience outranks everything." Rex simply said to the youngling.
Arne nodded in agreement.
"Well, if experience outranks everything, I guess I better start getting some." Hiro said with a confident smile. He then noticed something up ahead in the distance. "What's that?"
Rex looked to where he was looking at and clenched his fist, in the distance, around droid territory, was a large red dome, growing quickly in mass as it engulfed the surroundings. "Not good." Rex scowled. "They've got an energy shield. That's gonna make things damn near impossible." Rex said as the dome expanded.
"Hacks! I call hacks!" Hiro called out.
"Wish we had such a shield." Yaklegs, Fishlegs' father, said. Many Vikings agreed, thinking about how they wouldn't need to constantly have to be on alert during the night.
Captain Rex then turned to Hiro. "If you wanted experience, little one, it looks like you're about to get plenty." Hiro looked on with uncertainty.
The Army of the CIS kept rolling on forward in the direction of the Clone Army, no longer having to be concerned by their enemy's cannon fire due to the shielding.
One of the tanks then stopped in the middle of the road. It was General Loathsome's tank as he got up above and admired the view from his position. His attention was then caught by a rabbit droid near his tank.
"What is it?" Loathsome asked as the personal droid placed a holocom onto its ears and the message played out, which came from a droid commander.
"The clones are pulling back and the lead tanks are now approaching the city center." The Droid infomed the general.
"Get to those heavy cannons as quickly as you can!" The General ordered with a slam of his fist.
Meanwhile, back in the city, the Clone Troopers were prepping up their defences for the coming fight. The Jedi, Hiro and Rex were currently looking over a holo map to plan their next move against the shield.
"The shield generator is somewhere in this area. They're slowly increasing the diameter, and keeping it just ahead of their troops." Hiccup said as he gestured to the holomap.
"Heavy cannons are gonna be useless against that." Rex stated.
"As they get closer, I suppose we could try to draw them into the buildings." Hiccup suggested. "That might level the playing field a bit."
Stoick nodded in approval, a rare smile etched itself on his face, seeing his son take the role of a leader like a bird takes to flying.
"If that shield's gonna be such a problem, why don't we just take it out?" Hiro asked.
"Easier said than done." Rex grimaced.
"Well, I, for one...agree with him." Jack coughed. "Someone has to get to that shield generator and destroy it. That's the key."
"Right, then. Maybe you two can tiptoe through the enemy lines...and solve this particular problem together." Hiccup innocently suggested.
"Can do, Master Haddock." Hiro was eager to please and impress in the hopes of being seen as more than a youngling.
"I'll decide what we do." Jack said in a stern tone to the Padawan.
"Okay, I know you didn't want to be a teacher, but cool it." Gogo glared at the frost spirit, feeling protective of Hiro.
Jack threw up his hands defensively. "Whoa, it's good, all chill." He gave a pun near the end.
"If Rex and I can engage them here you two might have a chance to get through their lines undetected, here." Hiccup said as he pointed at different parts of the map.
"They won't have much time. The droids far outnumber us. So our ability to street fight is limited without the use of the heavy cannons. The Droids will march forward under the protection of their shield until they are right on top of our cannons, then they'll blow them away." Rex said as the holomap played out the scenario.
"We'll figure out a way." Hiro said confidently. "Come on, Master, let's go." The Padawan said as he made his way to their position.
"If we survive this, Snips, you and I are gonna have a talk." Jack warned as the pair left.
"Hmm, not the worst nickname." Hiro shrugged, kids and even a few grown men would call him "Zero".
"Alright, that's your new nickname." Gogo smirked as Hiro squawked.
"They make quite a pair, don't they, sir?" Rex commented. "You think they have a chance?"
"They better. If they can't turn off that shield generator before it reaches the heavy cannons...there'll be no escape for any of us." Hiccup said as he continued to plan for the oncoming fight.
The screen then changed to where the Droid army was approaching to where the clones where. Hiro and Jack were positioned up in one of the towers to allow for a clearer view of the advancing forces, Jack looked on with his Jedi edition scopes to see what was happening.
"So, what's the plan?" Hiro asked as he awaited for orders.
"Oh? I thought you were the one with the plan." Jack snarked.
"No, I'm the one with enthusiasm. You're the one with the experience, which I'm looking forward to learning from." Hiro said with a smile.
Jack returned the smile with one of his own, maybe the idea of having a Padawan was warming up to him. He could see bits of himself within the younger Force user. "Well, first, we need to get behind that shield, then get past their tank lines." Jack said as he used micro binoculars to look down below.
"Why don't we just go around? Outflank them?" Hiro suggested.
"Area's too wide and open, they'd be spotted easily." Astrid shook her head.
"That'd take too long." Jack denied.
"Sneak through the middle, then?" Hiro tried once more.
"How would you do that? Unless those Jedi could turn invisible." Merida said.
"I'm starting to question if my counterpart is a few brain cells short." Hiro groaned.
"Impossible. Unless you can turn yourself into a droid." Jack paused as he reiterated the sentence in his mind.
"Alright. You win. My first lesson will be to wait while you come up with the answer." Hiro gave up.
"Oh, wait's over. I've got a plan." Jack confidently said.
"Can't wait to see this "plan"." Aster snorted.
With Hiccup and the clones, they attempted to use their cannons against the force field in the hopes that it would manage to damage it or at least weaken it, unfortunately, no such luck as nothing seemed to stop the shield's rapidly increasing mass.
"That shield is certainly putting a crimp in my day." Hiccup yelled, trying to be heard over the thundering of the Republic cannons. The Jedi and Captain looked ahead to see the droid army marching towards them, no longer having to worry about the enemy artillery.
"It's no use, sir! Even at full power the cannon doesn't affect it." Rex noted.
Hiccup withheld a curse at the news. "All right, Rex. It was worth a try. Tell the men to fall back!"
As the droid Army marched, along the path they walked, a rusted metal box lay before them, the droids were oblivious to what was inside.
Nearly everyone grew gobsmacked at the sight of the box, for they had an idea of what was so important about some old box.
"You didn't!" Gogo groaned and threw her head back.
"What?" Jack helplessly shrugged.
"Unless these droids were made by monkeys, no way they are dumb enough to not notice or even bother with a rather big box in front of them." Gogo said.
"Okay, five bucks says we make it out of this unseen." Hiro betted.
"Deal." Gogo said.
Inside it was both Jack and Hiro as they peaked up to see the droids coming to them. The stopped peaking as the dome went right over them, as did the droids, who just simply walked beside or around the box, one even clipped it with its leg but done nothing else.
"This is a stupid plan! We should fight these guys, instead of just sneaking around." Hiro hissed nervously. Should even one droid be smart, they were dead.
This made Hiro's friends tense, not wanting to see him possibly die.
"Except for the fact that their deflective energy shield just passed over us. If you can't cross their lines, let their lines cross you." Jack explained to the youngling.
"If you say so." Hiro said with uncertainty, awaiting until the sound of the droids and their tanks grew distant before they moved.
Meanwhile, the shield continued to advance until it engulfed the buildings that the clones hid inside. Hiccup and Rex were found hiding on a balcony as the shield passed them. "We're inside the shield. Just stay away from those tanks." Hiccup said as he activated his lightsaber and leapt into the air and fell toward the droids.
The droids noticed his approach. "A Jedi?!" One of them exclaimed.
"Surprise, Mother fu-!" Gogo quickly slapped a hand over Fred's mouth before he could finish.
But it was too late as Hiccup landed on top of one of the Super Battle Droids and jam his lightsaber right into his head and cut it in half.
Along with the Jedi Master, Clones descended to the ground with cable wires as they fired at the droids down below.
"These clones are Badass!" Tuffnut said excitedly.
Hiccup continued his assault on the droids, cutting them down to pieces as the battle raged on.
"Just a few more and you can call an airstrike."
"Fred, this isn't Call of Duty." Honey Lemon reminded.
"HA! I knew you played it!" Fred said happily.
Rex and his troops fought valiantly, despite the numbers not being on their side.
"Where's the General?" Rex asked as he ran into a building for cover.
"I don't know, sir!" One of the clones responded. The droids continued to advance, their tanks making many clone forces fall back.
"Fall back!" Captain Rex ordered as he and his men started to pull away from the coming mass of droids. Unbeknownst to them, Hiccup was a level above them as he skewered a super battle droid before moving onto the next unfortunate droid.
Meanwhile, back with Jack and Hiro.
The pair continued to crawl to their objective under the box crate. "I think we made it past all of them, Master. We may pull this off yet." Hiro was quick to say.
"Ha! You owe me five bucks." Hiro gloated.
"Hold your horses, haven't made it to the generator yet." Gogo reminded him.
Despite his impulsive attitude, Jack was the one to calm his apparent Padawan. "We still have a ways to go before we get to the generator station."
"Do we still need this thing?" Hiro frowned in annoyance, referring to the crate. "I can't take it anymore. I have to stand up."
Jack must have agreed as he, along with Hiro, stood themselves up but it was a rather comedic sight to see the tops of their heads still hidden under the box.
This earned some chuckles from the audience.
"You have got to be careful! You never know what you're gonna run into." Jack warned, but it seems that luck was not on their side anymore as the pair accidentally bumped into something. As the pair dropped, the crate fell from their grasp and they could see that it was a Droideka they stumbled into.
"Oh, come on! Seriously why is one random droid doing there by itself? What, did he not get the memo his buddies were heading to battle?" Hiro said annoyed.
"He could be security for the generator." Elsa said.
"Oh what, like one droid? Yeah, great security." Hiro snorted.
"See what I mean?" Jack lectured before the Droideka started to fire at the Jedi who instinctively activated their lightsabers to block the enemy blaster bolts.
"We can't beat its shield." Hiro said, remembering his lessons back at the temple whilst deflecting the bolts.
"Run!" Jack ordered.
"What? Jedi don't run!" Hiro never imagined a Jedi running from the enemy.
"I said run!" Jack commanded in a firmer tone, not appreciating the back talk. This is why he didn't want a Padawan.
Reluctantly, Hiro followed his orders and immediately turned around and went towards the other direction along with Jack.
The Droideka then folded on into itself, assuming its roller form in order to quickly pursue the Jedi dogs.
"Hiro, stop!" Jack then ordered.
"Make up your mind!" Hiro said, becoming irritated.
"I said, stop!" Jack once again commanded in the same harsh tone from before.
Once again following his master's orders, Hiro stopped in his tracks and swung his lightsaber into the fast approaching droideka, as his blade passed through the metal alloy of the droid, Jack followed with his own strike, destroying the singular droid.
Jack then holstered his lightsaber along with Hiro and said "Good. You take direction well."
This made Hiro frown in annoyance, barely being able to bite back the growl of irritation.
Hiro heard the sound of someone clearing their throat and saw Gogo laying her palm out open.
The boy rolled his eyes and put the earnings into the smug biker's hand. "Pleasure doing business." She counted the money with a smile.
Meanwhile, front lines of the battle still raged on as both clone and droid were gunned down on each side. From a cloud of black smoke, Hiccup emerged and cut off the arms of a super battle droid that was choking a trooper, saving said trooper's life.
He then pushed the droid away into a fellow Super Battle droid, destroying the pair from the impact. A third Battle droid was behind him but was quickly blasted from behind by Captain Rex.
"They're right behind us, sir! They wiped out most of my unit. We had to pull out of there." Captain Rex said. A large explosion sounded from a close distance, causing Rex and Hiccup to take cover as the Droids numbers and artillery were proving to be too much for the Clones.
"Those… tanks I believe they were called, are too much for the clones, they don't have anything to fight back with, besides those cannons." Fergus noted.
"The shield has almost reached the heavy cannons." Hiccup said in dismay as the sounds of war echoed around them, the audience could see a battle droid approaching the pair from behind.
"We're not gonna be able to stop them, sir." Rex said.
"Move your troops back to the heavy cannons, do everything you can to protect them. I'll delay the droids."
"On his own?" Elsa had her hand to her mouth in a concerned manner.
"But..." Rex began to protest.
"That is an order, Captain!" Hiccup commanded as Rex reluctantly nodded and moved from his spot.
Above him, a Super Battle Droid jumped over their cover to try and kill the Captain but Hiccup intercepted with a lightsaber to its face. Hiccup then abandoned his cover and acted as a shield for his retreating troops, blocking whatever fire he could. A nearby tank fired at the walls of the building Hiccup was in, creating a larger opening for the droids and said tank.
Meanwhile, Jack and Hiro had finally arrived to the shield generator, it shot a beam of light in the air, emitting the ray shield energy.
"There it is. Come on." Hiro said as the two Jedi went to try and destroy the device.
Back with Master Haddock, he found himself surrounded by super Battle Droids and spider droids, each pointing their weapons at him. Knowing that even he wouldn't be able to survive this, he disengaged his lightsaber and let the droids surround him. Hiccup looked up at the tank in front of him with its barrel aimed squarely at him, waiting for even the slightest movement from Hiccup to fire. The lid of the tank popped open to reveal General Whorm Loathsome, looking down at the Jedi with a sneer.
"You must be the infamous General Haddock." The Separatist Leader said, arrogant about his supposed victory.
"Infamous, eh?" Gobber said with a raised brow.
"So what can he do now?" Rapunzel hesitantly asked.
"Nothing much, he's surrounded and outnumbered. Best he can hope is the opposing leader is in a talking mood." Iduna said.
"I surrender." Hiccup said the unanswered question. A Super Battle Droid came up to him and snatched away the lightsaber from Hiccup before training its wrist mounted blaster at him.
"A Viking never surrenders!" Snotlout said with a few cheering in agreement.
"True, but in this situation, you would be instantly killed with that attitude, or are you going to say you would survive without actually explaining and say "I just would"?" Gogo rolled her eyes.
"I... I would… shut it." Snotlout sulked as his father groaned.
"Boyo, I admit, it's good to never surrender, but there are times ya gotta think survival." He lectured.
"Now, Master Haddock, order your troops to stand down." Loathsome demanded the Jedi, who just calmly used the Force to move some debris around, laying the three objects like a set of chairs with a table between the pair in front of him.
Those that believed in superstition flinched at the sight while the more scientific wondered how exactly he was capable of doing this act. Hiccup had just moved several broken debris without even touching them, as if it were…
"Witchcraft!" Mildew jumped up and pointed an accusing digit at the startled Hiccup. "The boy has practiced witchcraft!" he spewed.
"Wha- What?" Hiccup stuttered in confusion.
"Oi, Mildew. Sit yur' old arse down before I make ye." Gobber threatened but Mildew ignored him in favour of causing hysteria.
"Think about it! The boy has been a curse to our island with his crazy and destructive inventions. And now he's using magic!" Mildew 'reasoned'.
"If tha's was the case, then why hasn't he been using it on te Dragons?" Gobber pointed out, using Hiccup's desire to kill a dragon to defend him.
"Maybe he's been trying to kill us all the whole time!" Mildew argued like a maniac, his ramblings however got some of the more gullible to start to side with him.
"W-well, maybe the Hiccup of this world can do it because he's a Jedi, maybe it has something to do with that "Force" power." Fishlegs stammered nervously.
Stoick had enough of the old man. "Now you listen here, Mildew. My son uses no such evil and you will do well to remember your place." Stoick's towering figure made Mildew back off but not without sending a glare to both Haddock males and one blacksmith.
"Bah!" Mildew spat and made his way back to his seat.
Jack gave the elderly nut job a weirded out glance before stage whispering to Hiccup. "So is there some lunatic asylum and he's been let out or…?" Hiccup laughed at that along with others who over heard, gaining strange looks from the rest of the audience who hadn't heard the joke.
The droids twitch at the sight, not firing until either given the command or the Jedi reacted violently.
"General, have a seat." Hiccup offered calmly, as though he wasn't about to be gunned down.
"Just casually ask for a sit down and talk while having guns pointed at you, ya know. Normal reaction." Hiro laughed.
"What's the worst that could happen?" Hiccup jokingly asked the young genius.
"He could have you shot." Hiro played along.
Hiccup playfully sniffed with his arms crossed. "Well that's just rude." The two were silent before breaking into laughter.
"Have you gone mad?" Loathsome asked, perplexed by the Jedi's actions.
"I've conceded the battle, now we simply have to negotiate the terms of surrender." Hiccup reminded him, outwardly keeping his attention on Loathsome while still acknowledging the positions of the surrounding droids.
Agnarr smiled in realization. "He's buying time."
"But how much can he get?" Honey Lemon said worriedly.
Loathsome looked at the Jedi suspiciously with narrowed eyes. "Don't try any of your tricks, Jedi." He said, the unspoken threat hanging in the air.
"Surely there's no reason we can't be civilized about this." Hiccup, a smile gracing his face.
Gobber groaned at the smile. "Oh no!" he face palmed.
"What?" Hiccup asked with a smile.
"I've known you fur years now, lad. I know that smile anywhere, that's yur mischievous smile."
"Is it really that bad?" Fishlegs asked.
"Yes indeed, if you had to pick between a dragon and a mischievous smile, pick the dragon." Gobber said as though he was teaching back at the kill ring.
"Ooh, another trouble maker!" Jack cheered. Harris, Hubert and Hamish were happy to find another person like them. Jack noted and began to chant as the triplets chipped in, albeit wordlessly. "One of us! One of us! One of us!"
Loathsome got out of his tank through the back, along with his rabbit like droid.
"Tis a rare honour to be able to meet one's opponent face-to-face. You're a legend throughout the Inner Core." Hiccup said in a respectable tone as Loathsome sat down in front of him.
"Thank you. The honour is all mine. I'm so glad you decided to surrender." Loathsome peened at the praise and had a smug aura around him.
"Well, at some point, one must accept the reality of the situation." Hiccup stated. He then gave a fake cough. Even the cough made the droids twitch. "Might we have some refreshments?"
Loathsome nodded and then turned to his personal droid. "You! Bring us something liquid." Loathsome ordered as the droid obeyed.
"Thank you. This shouldn't take long." Hiccup said with a smirk.
"Now it's up to Jack and Hiro to take down the shield." Tooth said.
"Yeah, take down the shield before all of our soldier die, our cannons destroyed and Hiccup killed after he pisses of that General." Jack snorted.
"Yeah, no pressure." Hiro added sarcastically.
"Oh there's tones of pressure, lads." Gobber said.
"Thanks, dude." Jack sarcastically thanked.
"Yur welcome." Gobber smiled, missing the sarcasm. Jack was about to point out said sarcasm but saw Hiccup shaking his head at him, saying there was no point.
Up in the space field of Christophsis, a large amount of Republic Cruisers suddenly jumped into the area. They were ready to support.
"Odin, where did they come from?" Ack said as he clutched his chest from the sudden speeding ship, forgetting that it was just an image and that said ship wouldn't crash into them.
"We are approaching Christophsis, sir. The Separatist blockade is holding position." A navy officer informed his Admiral
"Deploy the fleet. Have the cruisers protect the transports." Yularen ordered the clone.
"Yes, sir." The Clone responded.
Behind the two was Grand Master Gothi, walking with her small cane. "Admiral, hurry we must, if we are to aid General haddock." Gothi spoke with urgency.
"It will not be easy to breach the blockade, Master Gothi. It's what stopped our relief ships before." Yularen warned.
"Last time, not as many ships did you have. Get past it, we must. Get past it, we will." Gothi assured with determination.
Back on the surface of the planet, the Master and Padawan were running towards the Shield generator, ready to blow it to smithereens and turn the tide of the battle.
"Stay close. We've gotta be careful." Jack said as they looked over the sight.
"Even I'm getting freaked out by how careful I'm being, I usually go for the 'guns blazing' approach." Jack said.
"Being a Jedi and being a General in a war must have matured you and made you more cautious." Hiccup suggested.
"Aye, as a leader in a war, you hold the lives of those that fight under your command. Your actions and decisions can dictate if those soldiers live or die." Stoick nodded, he knew such a position was no joke and can be a heavy toll on the man. That was another reason he still considered Hiccup to be the better successor to his title as Snotlout still didn't seem to grasp the reality of war.
Though another candidate did enter his mind now and again. Astrid Hofferson. Despite the lack of any blood relation, the young lass was certainly strong and determined, but he had seen the interactions she had with the rest of the teens, though briefly. She seemed distant from them, never really engaging with them and even looking annoyed with them at times. How could she lead if she acted as a lone wolf?
Perhaps if he were to set up a marriage contact between Hiccup and Astrid. That way, Astrid could become Chieftess and the title would still be under the Haddock name. Hopefully the lass could toughen Hiccup a bit or Hiccup could help Astrid let her walls down. He knew the pair were friends after all. He was sure of it. Astrid may have been aggressive with Hiccup about the honour of killing the Nightmare, but competition brings out the worst in Vikings and he figured Astrid was just trying to regain some honour to the Hofferson clan after the death of Fearless Finn Hofferson. It was probably a small skirmish between the two.
"Come on!" Hiro said as he ran towards the generator, still eager to prove himself, throwing caution to the wind.
"Wait!" Jack shouted, trying to stop Hiro. He knew things like this was never this easy, and the separatists wouldn't leave their shield generator unguarded.
"Why? We're almost there. It's right..." In his rush, Hiro didn't see the antenna trip wires that littered the ground or that he stepped on them, activating the defences.
"I said, wait!" Jack yelled as he ran over to his unwanted apprentice.
"Oh for- listen to the guy with more experience!" Hiro shouted at his alternate self.
Suddenly, the ground around Hiro rumbled and cracked open. The antennas were attached to hidden droid sentries that were stationed under the ground below, the sudden appearance caught Hiro off guard and flung him to the ground, activating more sentries.
"It's a trap!" Phlegma warned.
Jack charged into the ambush with his lightsaber activated, "Forget about the droids! Set those charges!" Jack ordered as he sliced apart any droid in his path.
Hiro climbed up from the ground to get to the generator. During this, one of the droids attempted to attack Hiro from behind. Hiro sensed this and dodged the attack by sliding under between the droid's legs before leaping over its large form and sliced its torso with his lightsaber and pushed it away with a strong Force push.
Hiro groaned in annoyance, predicting what was going to happen now. "Oh, I'm such an idiot."
"Why? You just done an awesome kill." Tuffnut pointed out.
Unfortunately, his actions only resulted in the droid's head to role over couple of spots with antennas, activating more sentries that all targeted Jack.
"Oh…" Tuffnut said.
"Sorry!" Hiro winced.
"Whose side are you on, anyway?" Jack glared at the sheepish padawan.
"Setting the charges." Hiro flinched from the glare and quietly placed a few denominators around the platform.
Meanwhile, back on the frontlines, the Clones were being overwhelmed by the massive force of the droid army as their machinery and men were getting shot down.
Rex was with his men as they held off the droids. A clone came running up to him. "Sir! General Ren's been captured! There's no one else left." The clone informed, sounding a little defeated.
"We've got to hold out!" Rex said with determination. "We can't let that shield reach the cannons. Keep fighting!" Rex ordered.
Back at the Shield Generator, Jack was surrounded by the sentry droids, thankfully, a lone destroyed wall stood at his back, so that he didn't have to worry about being shot from behind. While he was keeping up with the rapid fire of the droids, even he couldn't keep it up before a lucky shot got in. "I could use a little help!" Jack yelled as he twirled his lightsaber around his body and in front of him, the speed of his movements making it a blur at times.
Hiro noted how the wall Jack was in front of had a large hole above, one that Jack could easily fit through. An idea struck Hiro.
"Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me!" Jack mocked begged with his hands clasped together in pray.
"Have some faith in me." Hiro complained. "I have a plan."
"What's the plan if I get turned into a stain?" Jack stared at Hiro.
Hiro turned to get Hiccup's attention, with Hiccup facing him, he said. "Hey, Master Haddock. So bad news is: Master Frost was squished. Good news: guess who's my new teacher!" He said cheerfully.
Hiccup smiled back. "That's the fourth Jedi I've tried to pawn you off to, guess I'm stuck with you." The Viking joked along.
"Frosty, don't move!" Hiro advised. He then put his hands forward and begun to use the Force to pull at the wall.
Jack looked confused for a moment. "What?" Jack questioned as he turned around and noticed that the wall behind him was beginning to fall. "No, no, no!" Jack cried out and ducked his head as the wall fully collapsed, crushing the droids. Luckily, Jack was unharmed as the wall landed with Jack being in the right place and through the hole.
The dust settled and Jack looked up to his surroundings, realising he wasn't dead. Hiro jumped off the generator and ran to his master who once again glared at him. "Urgh! You could have gotten me killed!" Jack growled as anger dripped from his voice like acid.
"I can't help but feel you've done something similar with me." Hiccup said.
"Who, me? No, I'm innocent." Jack batted his eyes at Hiccup with an innocent smile.
"I know what I'm doing." Hiro argued.
"I had everything under control." Jack insisted as he walked towards the generator.
"You were just asking for help!" Gogo growled as Hiro tried to calm her down before she ripped Jack's head off.
Jack begun to sweat at the glare Gogo levelled at him. Even if he was immortal, he wasn't inclined to test it. "Uhh... alternate me?" he tried with a helpless shrug.
Hiro grossed his arms in irritation from his stubborn master. "I just saved your life." Hiro exclaimed in annoyance.
Meanwhile, the droids were advancing, their larger numbers overwhelming the clones as they kept blasting at the republic dogs.
"There's too many of them!" One of the Clones called out as the B1 Battle droids advanced towards the trenches. "Fall back, fall back!" A clone cried out as they tried to make for cover, only to be blasted away.
"Man down!" A clone cried out as one of them fell to the ground and another one inspected the body, he pressed the side of his helm to his brother's chest to listen for a heartbeat. "Medic! We need a medic here!" The Clone called out. Whether it was because he still had a heartbeat and could be saved or the lack of a heartbeat meant he needed urgent attention to see if he could still be saved.
Rapunzel flinched for every scream, every explosion and every clone being killed. She tucked her knees to herself and tried to block out the noises. Having been cooped up in the tower for so long, never even seeing another person beside her mother. All this destruction, all this… death. It was too much for the poor girl. She began to rock back and forth and tried to hold back the whimper of fear and sorrow.
"Please. Please just stop." She begged. Rapunzel then felt a hand on her shoulder, making her flinch violently until she saw that it was Jack. He took his hand off and raised it in a sign of innocence at her flinch.
"Whoa, it's okay, it's okay." He then carefully rubbed her back in an attempt to calm her down. "I… I get it. All the terrible things of war. And nobody can lie or sugar coat it, so if you need to cover your eyes or even cry, there's nothing wrong with that." Jack said to her quietly.
Rapunzel still hugged her knees to her chest but looked Jack shyly. "You… you've seen… things like this?" She whispered.
Jack paused in his rubbing as… terrible, horrible memories came to him. He had never fought in any kind of war but he had seen more than his fair share. He wanted to help out however he could but his abilities didn't do much. Though during the Second World War he made it colder on the Nazi's side a few times.
He snapped out of it when Rapunzel herself rested her hand on his shoulder. Jack tried to pull a smile but it was obviously forced. "War is never a nice thing, but don't worry, if you need someone, me and Red here are here to talk to." He let Rapunzel know.
Rapunzel gave a weak but grateful smile. "Can… can you tell me when it's over?" she asked.
Jack nodded with no judgment and Rapunzel went back to covering her eyes and ears.
Merida leaned over to Jack and whispered. "Red?" she playfully scowled.
"Is the nickname inaccurate?" He whispered back.
Merida only shook her head. "Fine, white cap." She replied.
As this was going on, Hiccup was still using the meeting with the Separatist General to buy time. Loathsome showed his lack of patience by downing his beverage while Hiccup calmly stirred his tea and drank it with a satisfied sigh. "And, of course, once you've taken custody of my troops, arrangements will need to be made for their food and shelter. Tell me, do you have enough supplies-." Hiccup was cut off by the now furious General.
"Enough of this!" Loathsome shouted in anger. "You're stalling!" He accused, pointing at the Jedi.
"Nonsense. General, there are numerous details to be discussed." Hiccup dismissed and gave a cheeky wink.
This only seemed to infuriate Loathsome as he flipped the make shift table over with a growl. "Seize him!" Loathsome ordered as two Battle Droids hoisted Hiccup up by his upper arms, having him dangle in the air.
"Oh, c'mon, even there I'm still lifted up like that?" Hiccup complained.
"Unless you call off your troops right now, I will have no choice but to execute you." Loathsome threatened.
"Truthfully, I was hoping your shield would be knocked out by now." Hiccup sighed as he looked up to the sky, the red of the ray shield colouring the sky crimson.
"That's code for: Hurry up." Hiccup said.
"Well now I'm not gonna do it." Jack mock huffed.
"Did you get the charges set?" Jack asked irritably.
"Yes." Hiro glared back.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Jack asked with his arms crossed.
Hiro raised a single finger up, still giving a slight glare at his master and pressed the button. The generator went up in a ball of fire and resounding BOOM!
The sight of the massive explosion caused the twins to cheer. "Look at it, sister. Such beauty." Tuffnut breathed in awe.
"Sadly, they are as quick as they are magnificent." Ruffnut sighed in despair.
As the droids were advancing, their defence quickly started to dissipate and fade away from them.
"Uh-oh." One of the droids said.
"They did it!" Honey Lemon cheered.
Loathsome and Hiccup too noticed the shield disintegrating. Hiccup smiled at the Separatist leader. "Oh, well." Hiccup shrugged and swung himself from the grips of the super battle droids and up in the air, landing behind the droids that held and used the Force to bash them together and crushed them. None of the droids fired as their leader, Loathsome was in the firing range and they couldn't harm the General.
Hiccup leapt once more, this time landing behind General Loathsome, giving a smirk to the blue alien before putting him in a headlock. Seeing their General in danger, the droids tried to fire at the Jedi but Loathsome was quick to stop them less they shoot him.
"Don't fire!" Loathsome ordered in a strained voice.
"Ha! Something appears to have happened to your shield, General." Hiccup stated as he tightened his hold.
"Dude, rubbing salt in the wound." Fred laughed.
"Hey, it wasn't me. I have an alibi." Hiccup joked, earning laughs from both Berkians and outsiders alike. Hiccup smiled, suddenly feeling more comfortable with his tribe. Maybe they weren't so bad when outside of fighting.
Now with the barrier gone, Rex turned around. "All cannons, fire on those tanks!" The 501st Captain ordered.
All the cannons aimed and fired at the direction of the AAT's.
"What happened to the shield?" A random droid asked but his question never got answered as the cannon fire obliterated all of the droids there. Soon, the formerly red sky was filled with a wave of blue as the Republic forces hailed down onto the droids and their tanks, the march of soldiers and artillery was decimated by an array of explosions in only a short while.
Master Haddock then got a holocall from Admiral Yularen. "General Haddock, if you can hear me, we're through the blockade, the Separatist armada is in retreat. Your reinforcements should be landing in a moment." The Admiral's words seemed to be true, just as he finished speaking, Republic gunships soared above. Even Jack could see some from his position, though his wandering eyes led to the dejected Hiro, who sat with his head down.
A Gunship arrived right in front of Hiccup, carrying a small platoon of Clone Troopers and Master Gothi, with Hiccup and the cuffed Loathsome between them and the surrendering battle droids.
"Your timing is perfect, Master Gothi." Hiccup said. Gothi returned the smile.
Gothi shared a smile with her alternate self. Despite his destructive tendencies, she liked Hiccup and found him to be one of the most respectful people on Berk. He was always willing to help and didn't treat her as some insane old bat. Yes she was a respected elder amoung the tribe but she knew what some thought about her, about her being a silent, old bat.
And she wasn't as blind as the other Vikings to Hiccup's sudden change at Dragon training. She knew Hiccup was using methods to pacify the dragons instead of hurting and killing them.
He truly was Valka's son. If only Stoick saw it in a better light. The Chief saw Valka in Hiccup but it only brought painful memories that causes Stoick to distance himself.
Back to the remains of the destroyed shield generator, Jack joined Hiro on the floor. "You're reckless, little one, you never would have made it as Hiccup's Padawan." Jack bluntly yet truthfully spoke.
Hiro shut his eyes in sadness at this, feeling as though he had ruined his shot of becoming a Jedi knight by his apparent recklessness. Though Jack's next words made Hiro perk up.
"But you might make it as mine." Hiro looked to see Jack giving him a kind and understanding smile, making Hiro copy the expression.
"Come on." Jack motioned for his new Padawan to follow as he stood up, the pair moving toward the landing Gunship for them to step aboard. Inside it was Rex as he greeted the pair.
"Great job, General Frost." Rex complimented as the two Jedi entered and the ship started to take off. Rex then turned to Hiro with a smirk. "You, too, kid." Rex complimented, earning a smile from the young Jedi.
And with that, the screen shut off.
"So, what do you think?" Madman asked.
"I still can't believe it, being able ta' see other worlds. It's baffling." Gobber needed some strong mead right now.
"Indeed, and it is quite the honour to have the chance to see these worlds." Agnarr breathed.
"What else can we see?" Toothania questioned eagerly.
"Well, why don't I show you." Madman offered.
