Chapter 9 - The Adventures Begin
Later that night at the palace, Iago's injuries were tended to, Mozenrath's gauntlet was locked away in the palace vault, and Xerxes was welcomed into the family.
"And so, the bird and eel lived happily ever after," Iago said, laying on a pillow, "wallowing in luxury as Aladdin's palace pals."
The Sultan was dressed in his usual robes and turban again.
"Now, my dear boy," the Sultan addressed Aladdin. "Or should I say my new vizier?"
Aladdin admitted, "Sultan, I'm very honored, but I can't be your vizier."
"Really?" Xerxes replied, surprised? "Well, what more do you want, Aladdin?"
"The world," Aladdin answered.
Iago was just as surprised as Xerxes.
"Look, personally, I'm with you, kid," he replied, "but let's take it one step at a time."
"Shh," Xerxes said to Iago, placing his tail over his mouth.
"I mean," Aladdin continued, "I wanna see the world. I can't just stay in the palace." He looked outside the palace. "There's too much to do, too much to see."
"Hey, what about your girlfriend?" Iago asked, pointing his wings to Jasmine. "Do you think that this lovely princess is just gonna wait around here?"
"I most certainly will not," Jasmine disagreed, walking to Aladdin. "I'm going to see the world, too."
With that, Aladdin and Jasmine hugged.
"Okay, that's it," Iago shouted. "The madness is spreading." He squawked, flying around. "Crazy talk. Why do I keep getting hooked up with these warped people?"
The scene shifted downward, floor to floor.
"Shouldn't somebody ask what the brave parrot and the eel want to do?" Iago continued.
And, like in your universe, the adventures of Aladdin began, but with an extra member of the group in this one. Of course, his adventure with Mozenrath was far from over.
In the palace dungeon, Mozenrath, though shackled to the wall, managed to address.
"Nasira," he began. "My plan to free your brother from the lamp and exact revenge for his imprisonment has failed. And what's worse, Xerxes has betrayed me. Now what?"
"Not to worry, dear boy," said a female voice.
In a puff of dark colorful smoke, a slender brunette woman in a black and purple dress and sporting a gold snake band appeared before him. It was Nasira, Jafar's older twin sister.
"I have a plan so we can finally be rid of the street rat and his friends," she continued, her eyes glowing.
Much far…
The End…?
Author's Note: Nasira is the main antagonist in the PlayStation video game Aladdin: Nasira's Revenge.
