Chapter 1

A/N: Wow it's been a while! Welcome back to my stories! So this is what happens when Adrien and Marinette get to live together, with their families, for a whole school year. It's been sort of percolating in my mind for a while, so I hope you enjoy the first chapter! As always, please leave reviews and keep reading! Enjoy!

Marinette was fast asleep in her cozy pink bed when her alarm blared waking her up from a peaceful sleep. The girl groaned and nuzzled her head into the body next to her. Chat? Adrien? She couldn't remember now. Too early in the morning. She looked up. Adrien.

She put her hand on his chest and shook him a little to get him up. He groaned as well but his eyes fluttered open.

"What?" He whined.

"It's 4:30, you need to go." He groaned again. "I know, I know. But unless you want your father to notice you've been sneaking out, on school nights as well, you need to be back before Nat wakes you up."

"Eh let him catch me."

"Ahh but you forget my parents also don't know you're here," she said with a grin and a lift in her voice.

Adrien opened his eyes completely. "Isn't that what makes it more fun though?"

"Leave the way you came please," she said getting up herself.

"Ohh… I know why you're so insistent on kicking me out this morning," Adrien said with a sly grin. "You're other suitor must be coming."

Marinette stopped walking to her dresser and turned around, "He's not a suitor and he's not coming," she grumbled with a little annoyance.

"If he's not your suitor, what is he?" Adrien pried, propping himself on his arm, being as cheeky as possible.

"He's what you are," she answered looking resuming her journey to get dressed.

"Just your friend is what I'm hearing."

"Why? Worried you might have competition?" She smirked.

"Not at all," he smiled back.

Marinette threw a pillow from her chaise at him. "Out Adrien."

"Ok, ok, I'm leaving!" He exclaimed holding his hands up. "But if I fall trying to scale down you're building because I'm so tired and it's so dark, it's all you're fault."

"I'm willing to take my chances," she jabbed. "I'm hurt Mari, really," Adrien feigned, putting a hand in his chest while climbing up to her trap door.

"Goodbye!" She pushed.

"See you in three hours!"

She threw another pillow at him in return.

The trip home was short. He had become pretty efficient at his routine to get home. Let Marinette see him climb down her house, walk a little bit, turn out of view, dip into an alleyway, transform, get home in half the time. Simple. Adrien was back in his room by 4:45 and detransformed. He slowly pulled off his clothes he was wearing and put on his normal pajamas. He climbed back into his bed and pretended to sleep for the last five minutes until Nathalie came to get him.

Just like clockwork, at exactly 5:00 Nathalie knocked on his door and opened it a few seconds later. She strode over to the bed and started her routine.

"Adrien time to wake up. Today you have you're scheduled breakfast with your father, school, all you're normal after school activities, and a photo shoot tonight at 9:00. Any questions about today?"

Adrien peaked his face out of his covers and pretended to be tired.

"No, I'll be down shortly."

"By 6:00."

"Of course."

Nathalie turned on her heel and clicked away. She normally tried to stay out of Adrien's business. She definitely didn't want to know exactly what a teenage boy did every day, but she did notice that his voice did not reflect one of someone just waking up. She had noticed that ever since she started looking for it two months ago, and it happened nearly everyday. But, she did not get paid enough to find out who he was going to see at night.

"Good morning, father," Adrien said as he joined his father at the long dining room table.

"Adrien," his father acknowledged him. "Nathalie told you about your photo shoot tonight?"

"Yes, father."

Gabriel looked up from his tablet.

"Well, I have a surprise for you."

Adrien raised an eyebrow. His father did not surprise him, and he seemed… excited? This could not go well.

"What is it?" He asked apprehensively. He started wringing his hands under the table.

"You can bring a friend with you today," he… grinned? "Preferably someone who will act appropriately on set."

What was happening? His father was doing something nice for him. What was today? An anniversary of some kind? His birthday? A holiday? A weird punishment of some kind? The thoughts were swimming in his mind. His judgement was becoming clouded. Comfort. He need comfort. What was happening? Why is he feeling like this? Who would he ask?

"Can I bring a girl?" He blurred out. He cupped his hands over his mouth and burned scarlet. The room probably got ten times hotter he was sure. He could hear Nathalie stifle a chuckle from the next room over.

"A girl?"

"…Y-y-yes?" He said unsure.

"You can bring whoever you like. Maybe the designer friend you have."

"That's who I was thinking!" Adrien said louder than he should've. Embarrassed again he got ten for degrees hotter.

"Very well," Gabriel said amused. "Ask her today if she can come."

"I will!" He said more excited for a photo shoot that he had been in a long time.

He couldn't wait to ask Marinette.
