I watched as the clouds rolled in from the window of back of Stiles's jeep before turning my eyes in the direction of where Scott and Stiles were standing with Stiles's dad. These two had yet again managed to get me out of the house on a perfectly lazy day I could've used for relaxation and self-pampering. These two were failing miserably at trying to convince to Sheriff Stilinski that they had done a civil duty. I got out of the jeep and walked over to me as Scott shrugged kind of. I glanced between all three of them trying to figure out where exactly we were on convincing Sheriff Stilinksi we were needed.
"He was getting away." Scott argued. Sheriff Stilinski looked over at me with this knowing look. I gave him a smile. I shrugged and held up my hands at him.
"I got roped into this. They yelled get in, so I did." I muttered. Stiles gave me a shove and I glared over at him.
"He got away. Do you wanna see what he was stealing?" Sheriff argued as he moved around our group. I glanced at Scott and Stiles.
"That's cause he's a criminal mastermind, dad!" Stiles argued. I shook my head and followed them both back to the two back doors of the van. Sheriff Stilinski pulled open the doors. I stared at the canisters sitting in the back. I glanced over at Sheriff before looking over towards Scott and Stiles. They were staring at the canisters also.
"Critical lifesaving medical equipment." Stiles said as he revealed canisters of something.
"Nope." Stilinski said. My eyebrow twitched a little bit.
"Poisonous gas." Stiles guessed. He shook his head again. I groaned quietly and pinched the bridge of my nose with my fingers. I swear if these two idiots dragged me out of my house for nothing important, I was going to be mad.
"Filled with drugs?" Stiles asked.
"Helium." Sheriff Stilinski said. I glared at Stiles and then Scott.
"Y'all pulled me out of my pajamas for that? Helium?" I muttered quickly as I trudged back to the jeep. I crawled in the back and after a few minutes I was joined by my two witless wonders. They were both sulking about the thing they had attempted to do but ultimately, they had messed up.
"This could be a good thing." Scott said as he drove. Stiles glanced over at him confused.
"That we saved helium?" Stiles asked. I moved so I was halfway between the two of them.
"Yeah, cause if that's what you're saying I'm going to hit you." I muttered. He shook his head at me.
"I mean maybe…maybe they don't need us anymore." Scott said. I shrugged and then leaned back into the seat again. I don't think Stiles really wanted to admit he wasn't needed anymore around town to save it. He liked the adventure of it all.
"They need us they just don't know it." Stiles muttered. I shook my head.
"Stiles…" I muttered.
"We're all going off to college, so Beacon Hills is going to have to learn to survive without us." Scott said. I nodded firmly. When we all left, they were going to have to figure it out by themselves how to save themselves. We weren't going to be able to run back at a moment's notice if something bad started to happen again.
"Beacon Hills is going to burn to the ground without us." Stiles argued. I just chuckled and shook my head at the thought. I think he was being a little dramatic but with everything that's happened between the time I got back and sitting currently in the back of the jeep, it wasn't as dramatic as one would think. He might actually be kind of on the right train of thought.
"I don't know who's right because I kind of agree with both of you." I muttered as I leaned my chin onto my arms.
"Stiles, they don't need us." Scott murmured. Stiles was looking all depressed until his phone rang, and he held it up for us to see. It was his dad calling.
"They need us!" He declared. I groaned and leaned my whole face into my arms. This was going to be a long night I could tell. When we got to the police station, we were waiting for Sheriff Stilinski to talk to the kid about what we could do, because he couldn't remember anything, and his parents were missing. We were going to tap into his head to see the things he couldn't remember. Scott and I were trying to figure out which one of us was going to tap into the kid's memories. Scott had done it before while I hadn't, which didn't leave me to confident in sinking my claws into the back of this kid's neck. I saw the Sheriff wave us in and behind us he locked the door. I glanced over at Scott nervous.
"Scott, you do it." I muttered. He nodded and squatted down by this kid.
"Ready?" Scott asked. He nodded and Scott moved his hand behind his head. It seemed for a long time after Scott went into the kid's head before he finally came out. He looked disturbed, and that was putting it mildly. He looked at us.
"Well?" I asked.
"What did you see?" Stiles asked. Scott scrunched his face up in confusion not really sure about what he saw. I raise an eyebrow confused at him.
"I saw a guy on a horse. He had a gun." Scott said. I stared at him really confused.
"A gun sounds like my department, not yours." Sheriff said.
"And what about the parents?" I asked as I glanced down at the kid.
"I don't know. That's all I remember. I got this feeling." Scott said. I didn't like the sound of his words. I didn't like feelings, because normally they were bad. Bad feelings ended up with us getting into bad situations and I didn't have any more energy for bad situations.
"What kind of feeling?" Stilinski asked.
"Oh, god. Please don't tell me it's a Skylar feeling." Stiles muttered. I just glanced over at them with a frown.
"They're coming back. They're coming for me." The kid said. That sent a bad feeling down all the way to my core.
"It's a Sky feeling." I muttered as the kid stared at us. I sighed and rubbed my eyes. I just wanted a peaceful couple months' man. Why couldn't I get that? We called Lydia so that she could see if she could get a reading in the car. While Stiles and Lydia sat in the car in the impound lot Scott was looking over the car with me. I heard a howl and then say a coyote appear. Why Malia traveled in full form, I will never know. When she jogged over to us, she transformed, and I groaned. She was naked.
"I don't know how you do that." I muttered. She shrugged.
"I don't think they're dead." Lydia said getting out of the car and throwing Malia a shirt. When I glanced over again at Malia she was fully clothed again. That I was thankful for. It made me super uncomfortable to have her naked around Stiles. I know I was being a little paranoid but after everything we've been through, I had a good reason to be, right?
"They're dead. Probably torn apart. I just don't get why there is no blood." Malia muttered. I shrugged.
"If they were dead. I'd sense it." Lydia said. I glanced over at her before I glanced back at Malia.
"If they were alive, I'd smell it." Malia shrugged.
"Yeah, I'm not getting anything either." Scott said. They glanced over at me, and I shook my head at them. I wasn't getting any sort of vibes besides the bad one I got earlier from the kid. Something in his words were still echoing in my ears. I was still personally feeling a bad feeling about it also.
"Scott, what do you mean? You were in that kid's head for four minutes. I timed it." Stiles said. I rolled my eyes. Glad someone does that, because I know certainly I did not.
"It's not an exact science. And he's a kid. Maybe he's too freaked out to remember." Scott said. I shrugged. I mean it was a good idea.
"Why does it matter if they're dead? Dead is dead." Malia said.
"If it's just a robbery then, we can't help them. If it's something supernatural, my dad can't help them." Stiles said. It'd been a peaceful three months. I didn't have to worry if I was going to die. I didn't have to worry about the twins if they were going to end up someone's radar. It was nice not having to worry about impending death.
"It sounds like you want it to be supernatural." Lydia said.
"It's been, like, three months since anything's happened." Stiles argued. I rolled my eyes at him.
"A wonderful three months it's been." I muttered smiling. He just rolled his eyes at me, and I smiled at him. Well, in my opinion it had been a wonderful three months. Stiles and I had been on peaceful dates, you know when we got the chance to when he wasn't trying to go looking for danger of the supernatural kind.
"Yeah, and once a week you drag me out of bed like some sort of supernatural metal detector." Lydia argued.
"Okay, it's way more often than that." Stiles said. I rolled my eyes. Why he did that I do not know.
"You can't tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?" Stiles said.
"What I'm saying is maybe that wouldn't be so bad." Lydia said as she turned to walk away. Malia followed her, and I stayed with Scott and Stiles. I just shrugged. Stiles looked at us and shrugged before going to the car and getting inside. Scott and I looked at each before walking over to the car. We knew that Stiles was a little upset with the whole thing because he wanted it to be something we all didn't think it was. Don't get me wrong, I liked running around with Scott and Stiles and doing dumb stuff, but I liked not being in danger.
"You're staring at a broken windshield." Scott said. I moved so that I was looking at the windshield and ran my finger over the jagged glass. It was smooth. It was like something had warped it. It was like glass you find on the beach.
"There's something wrong with it." He murmured.
"It's like every windshield that had a bullet shot at it. Like that one." Scott said nodding over to another car.
"And that one." He said pointing at another car. But the trend with these cars were that the windshield hadn't been blown out like the one we were looking at. The others had holes in them from the bullets and spider-web cracks running through it. Not the whole windshield busted out.
"A magic bullet." Stiles said as Scott started to trail off realizing that there was something different compared to the car we were looking. I glanced at them both and sighed before shrugging. I glanced over to the windshield again before looking back at the boys.
"We'll figure it out somehow." I said shrugging. Scott stared at me, and Stiles glanced over at me.
"So, you believe me when I said something is weird about this?" He asked. I just shrugged.
"I mean it's not normal looking, so something's off about it. And knowing you two; we'll figure it out." I muttered. Stiles just gave me a small smile and I saw Scott just shaking his head. I chuckled and smiled at them both.
Everyone was sitting outside by where senior pictures were going to be taken and I had gotten mine done already. It was first thing in the morning, and I had looked cute. I even had make-up on and that was exceedingly rare for me to be wearing make-up. I was walking up across the quad and got to the table they were all sitting at. I sat down next to Stiles, and he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Did you get your pictures done?" I asked Malia as she was doing something. She glanced up at me and glared at me.
"No, because Stiles kept ruining it." Malia said and glared at Stiles. I raised my eyebrows at him.
"I didn't mean to." Stiles said, shrugging. He looked over at me and did a double take. He never saw me with make-up on hardly. It was a waste of time with soccer and other things going on. I just normally did eyeliner and mascara. Simple and easy. With this semester Stiles wasn't really seeing me in the hallways as much so he hadn't gotten the chance to see me in my outfit yet. I laughed at him.
"You look…good." He commented a little choked up. I raised an eyebrow at him. Normally he didn't get flustered with me anymore. This was different.
"I was hoping to get a little bit better than good. Damn." I muttered. Scott chuckled and glanced back at me.
"For pictures?" He asked. I nodded. I had on a dark blue dress that was strapless, with a white jean jacket. My eyes had a dusting of blue eyeshadow that Luna had done for me. Well, Luna did all my make-up for me this morning because I was barely functioning, and she said I was not going to disgrace the yearbook with a bad photo. All the Hudson's had had really good senior photos, so she didn't want me messing that up. It would be and I quote "an embarrassment to the family".
"Did you want to go with me to an abandoned house?" Stiles asked. I shrugged.
"Sure, I don't have anything else to do." I muttered.
"Can always count on Sky." Stiles said slinging his arm around my shoulders. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, can I get a candid?" A girl came up asking. She held up a camera and then I realized she was with the yearbook committee.
"Yeah, that's fine." I smiled. Stiles groaned in my ear as Scott, and I pushed Stiles down onto the bench between him and Lydia. Scott moved over so I was between him and Stiles. Stiles put one leg on the inside, so I was sitting between his legs, and he wrapped his arms around my waist. Scott moved so he was sitting on top of the table. He leaned his elbows on his knees.
"Fine. If you can explain to me why this is blue. I'll let it go." He said handing Scott a piece of blue glass from the windshield of that car we were at last night. Scott stared at it confused and I glanced at it as well. The glass that had come from the windshield look like it had been turned to a light blue color. It reminded me of sea glass you find at the beach.
"Smile!" The girl said. We all smiled, and the camera flashed. After that everyone went to class, except for me. I had no classes the rest of the day because I had enough credits. Normally I left but I was supposed to wait for Scott and Stiles so we could go check out this abandoned house.
"Sky let's go." Stiles said. I glanced back to see Stiles along with Scott. I had been reading a book at the table they had left me at before heading to class.
"Scott?" I asked confused as I put my bookmark into the pages. He nodded.
"Yeah, long story." He said. I nodded as I grabbed my bag and followed them and then we ran straight into Ms. Martin. She grabbed them both and I smiled and waved at them. She was yelling at them for missing so many classes. See I was the good child and didn't skip classes. I also doubled up the year I was gone so I would be ahead of everyone else so I could have free periods my senior year.
"I'll get the jeep warmed up for after school." I said to them smiling. Stiles and Scott glanced back at me as I waved Stiles's keys in my hand. I loved it when I pick-pocketed Stiles. He never felt me do it.
"How did you get my keys?" He demanded as they were dragged back inside. I smirked and shrugged. I went to Stiles's jeep which was parked next to me. I hoped in the passenger side and smiled as I started to read my book again. I had both windows rolled down. The worst part is I had to wait for a little. It was only a little bit later than that and I may or may not have fallen asleep. I was awoken by Scott climbing in the back. I blinked away the sleepiness as Stiles hopped into the driver's seat.
"Did you have a nice nap while we were in class?" Stiles teased. I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him. He grabbed it.
"Dude," He said. I smiled at him and when he let go, he leaned over and gave me a quick peck on the lips. I saw Scott give me a smile. He was happy to see us back together. When I had told him Stiles and I had gotten back together he literally just smiled at me and said, 'finally' which had earned him a smack in the arm. Some of the family wasn't exactly happy about it; mostly my older siblings, but they kept it civil when he was over. Max still made Stiles nervous though whenever he was at the house because he would just stare at him.
Stiles pulled out of the school and drove towards the house we were checking out. When we got there, we looked at a rundown abandoned house. I glanced around to see the yard over-run with weeds. I had picked the wrong day to wear a cute outfit. Some of the windows had been boarded up.
"That's not creepy at all." Stiles said as he handed Scott a flashlight. I just rolled my eyes and followed them inside. When we got inside there were cobwebs everywhere. I peered into the dining room to see plates on the table and glasses also. They had cobwebs all over them. Why would the table be set but the house looked like it was abandoned years ago?
"Did you wanna split up?" Scott asked. I shook my head quickly.
"Uh, absolutely not." Stiles said. We moved further into the house, and we were about to move upstairs. I went between them as we headed upstairs. The floor kept creaking, sending hair raising on the back of my neck. I glanced back looking over my shoulder feeling like someone was behind me, but no one was there.
"Maybe Alex got the address wrong." Scott said.
"Or he lied." Stiles said. I shrugged.
"Why would he lie though about his house?" I asked confused as we walked down the hallway. Stiles paused for a moment and stared at a door at the end of the hallway. We glanced at each other, and I pushed between them and headed towards the door. I was for one tired of being behind them, two I was tired of the creepy feeling I had, and three I knew the other two would argue over who would open the door so I might as well take the incentive on this one.
"Skylar…" Stiles hissed at me.
"You're not going to solve anything by staring at the door." I muttered as I put my hand on the knob. They came up behind me as I twisted it and pushed the door open.
"Wait what?" I muttered as we walked into the room. It was decorated and had color to it. It was a room meant for a young boy. It had posters on the walls of sports teams, pictures of Alex. His trophies and other things.
"He didn't lie." Stiles muttered as they both walked into the room. I stayed in the doorway just in awe of the room being untouched by time.
"Why didn't the cops say anything about this?" Scott asked.
"Because they didn't know. They need a warrant to get in here and there's no owner of record to serve a warrant to. So, unless there's some kind of threat or imminent danger, they wouldn't come in." Stiles said.
"But this proves that there was. So, what does that mean? They just disappeared into thin air?" I asked as I leaned against the door frame looking at the room. That's when I heard a rattle. Scott and I looked at each other.
"What?" Stiles asked.
"I thought I heard something." Scott said as he went out the door. I was about to go out the door, but I saw Stiles stop and look down at something.
"What?" I asked, pausing.
"Come and look at these photos for a minute." He said. I nodded and walked over to the photos he was looking at. I saw that it was just Alex by himself. He was positioned odd in them too like he had been with someone. I felt Stiles jerk towards the bed behind me. That's when I felt him move away from me as I went to look at another picture and Stiles jerked up a moment later.
"What's wrong?" I asked glancing over at him with my eyebrows raised.
"Didn't you see that?" He asked. I shook my head at him.
"Come on let's go." He said coming over to me and tugging on my hand. We walked out of the room, and he closed the door behind us. That's when the wind started to blow in the hallway. I turned around not seeing anything. I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up straight.
"Wait," Stiles said. I looked at him confused as he stared down the hallway. I didn't understand. What was he looking at? He yanked me down hard top of him as he fell to the floor huddled in a ball. I came crashing with a thud as my palms and knees slammed into the floor. I was literally bent over Stiles's lap.
"What the hell Stiles?" I muttered. He was panting and after a few minutes he looked up and let go of my waist. He had his hand bunching my jean jacket. We heard footsteps and I glanced up to see Liam, Scott, and Mason coming up the stairs and around the corner. Liam and Mason stared at the position I was in and glared at them.
"Don't even start." I hissed.
"What happened?" Scott asked. Stiles looked at me and I got up. I held out to Stiles, and he took it as I pulled him up off the floor. He stared at me for a moment before looking at the others.
"He was here. He shot at me." Stiles said. I blinked at him confused.
"Wait what?" I asked confused. That's when Scott stared at me confused. Stiles looked towards the door and then glanced back at us.
"It was one of the guys you saw in Alex's memory." He said. I glanced at Scott with a raised eyebrow.
"The guy who had taken them?" Mason asked.
"No, no. They were, they were made to disappear. That's why there is no furniture. That's why they weren't in any of the photos." Stiles said. I took Stiles's hand slowly.
"They were erased." I muttered. Stiles ran back to the room and pushed it open. It was bare as if there was nothing there to begin with. My mouth dropped open in shock. It was all gone.
It was later on that night Stiles was on the speaker phone with me as him and Lydia walked out of the library at school. They had been at the school late trying to find something that could point them in the right direction for what was going on.
"It all sounds familiar to me like I've heard it before." He said. That's when Lydia said something in French, I couldn't quite get over the phone.
"What?" I asked confused.
"That's French. It means lingering thought." She said. I nodded.
"Okay, well, is there a French word for feeling an overwhelming sense of urgency and impending door?" He asked. I licked my lips. I didn't like when he felt that way, either.
"Sweetheart, that's called a panic attack." I said. That's when Lydia said something else in French and I groaned.
"That's French for banshee." Lydia said.
"Okay, what does your banshee intuitions say this is?" He asked. I kept silent for a moment listening to the two go back and forth.
"That you don't have to figure it all out right this second." She said. I shrugged.
"She's right Stiles. You need to try and relax." I muttered.
"But this kid has no one. You know, and there's a reason why. There's gotta be." Stiles muttered. That's when I heard him close the book.
"Give this man a ride, sweet family will die. Killer on the road." Lydia said. I started to get a feeling in the pit of my stomach as she said that. I knew that song from somewhere.
"Riders on the Storm?" Stiles asked.
"What?" She asked.
"That song. Riders on the storm." I said echoing Stiles's thought.
"That's it." She said.
"What is? What the hell did I just miss?" I asked as I walked downstairs into the living room. Max glanced up at me as I came into the living room. He was staring at the phone, waiting to hear who was on the other line.
"The Ghost Riders. The Wild Hunt." Lydia said. Max raised his eyebrow at me as I got closer to him. I put my phone down on my knee as I sat on the back of the couch close to where he was sitting.
"Speak English Lydia." Max said as he glanced down at the phone.
"They come by storm, riding horses. And they take people." Lydia said. Max looked up at me with a not so good look.
"Lydia you're so smart. I could kiss you right now." Stiles said. I glared at the phone and growled.
"Um excuse you." I said.
"Don't do that. He doesn't mean that, Sky." Lydia said. I huffed.
"Yeah, sorry. Not going to happen. Sorry Sky…" He muttered. I growled into the phone before letting a real growl go through my clenched teeth.
"Way to go dumbass." Max said. I hung up the phone and grabbed my keys.
"If you kill him let me record it!" Max said as I pulled the door open, slamming it behind me. The glass rattled in the door when I slammed it. I got into my car and headed to the school. I had definitely skipped on lacrosse practice tonight, but I was so ready to tear Stiles a new one for even saying it. When I got to the school, I followed Scott's scent to where Stiles and Scott were. They were talking and Stiles glanced up at me. His eyes widened slightly. He knew he was in trouble and that I was pissed.
"Oh crap." He said. Scott glanced over at him with a sigh before looking back at me registering the red tinge in my cheeks.
"What did you do?" Scott asked as I got up close and personal to Stiles.
"I said something stupid." Stiles muttered as I invaded his personal space with my face. I nodded and growled at him.
"Let me guess…she's…you know…" Scott said. Stiles nodded. I whipped my head at Scott and growled. I hated when they mentioned that sort of thing. I mean I was moodier than usual when I was on my period but what was I supposed to do about that.
"Oh yeah." He said. I glared back at Stiles.
"I really wanna rip you apart." I muttered.
"But you love me, so you don't wanna do that, now do you?" He smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I snapped my wolf teeth at him and backed his face away from me for a moment.
"Come on Sky. You love me…" He smiled at me. I growled behind clenched teeth. When I closed my lips, he gave me a peck on the lips.
"You're beautiful, you know when you're mad." He smiled. I rolled my eyes.
"Still mad." I muttered.
"But I didn't kiss her now, did I? I'm kissing my wonderful, beautiful, smart, kick-ass, co-alpha werewolf girlfriend, who I'm so hoping doesn't want to rip my throat out, right now." He smiled widely. I raised my eyebrow at him. He was really sucking up here.
"Laying it on thick, aren't you?" I asked. Scott coughed. We glanced over at him.
"Alex." He said. Stiles's eyes went wide and started tugging me along. I glanced at them both really confused on what the kid had anything to do with what was going on right now.
"Okay, what's going on?" I asked as we loaded into Stiles's jeep.
"We have to go to Alex and the station. We think they're going to take him next." Scott said as Stiles pulled out of the school parking lot.
"Wait, what?" I asked.
"It's a long story. Explain later." Stiles said. I nodded and held on as Stiles's sped to the police station. This poor jeep had had one to many speedy rides. When we got to the station, we rushed inside to the jail cell. When we looked in there was no Alex. He had been in there earlier. Where could've a kid gotten to inside a police station with cops walking about?
"Where's the kid? What happened to him?" Stiles asked the person behind the desk.
"What kid?" Clark asked. I stared at her for a moment.
"Alex. He came in here from a car wreck the other night. His parents are the ones that are missing." I said confused. She stared at me confused.
"Who's Alex?" She asked. I blinked for a moment in shock.
"Clark, listen to me. He was here, okay? You met him." Stiles said.
"Where's the sheriff?" Scott asked.
"He got called out to the high school. They found a body. No one has been in lock up all day. See for yourself." She said handing Stiles's the log sheet for it. As Stiles's rifled through it, Scott and I looked at each other before at the cell.
"He's not on here." Stiles muttered. I glanced back at him.
"They got him already." I muttered.
"I shouldn't have left him alone. He knew they were coming for him. What if they're coming back for everyone else who was on that road?" Scott asked. I looked over at him.
"Liam and Hayden. Let's go!" I muttered. We all ran back to the jeep and then went speeding back to school. We went into the hallway where all the teachers and people were.
"Let me check the quad. And see if your dad knows anything? Sky stay here with him." Scott said. I nodded.
"Okay. Scott wait…" He said. Scott turned back around but Stiles started to stutter like he couldn't remember what he was about to say.
"Tell me later." Scott said. Stiles nodded. I glanced at Stiles confused but he didn't say anything more.
"Yeah, alright." He said. Stiles turned back around and went to go run down the hallway and got stopped by Ms. Martin. We looked at her confused.
"Whoa, slow it down." She said.
"Um sorry Ms. Martin. Hey, have you seen Liam or Hayden?" He asked. She stared at him confused.
"Or his dad." I said. She stared at me for a moment before looking at Stiles.
"Who?" She asked. I narrowed my eyes at her. Everyone knew who Stiles's dad was.
"My dad. He's here because of the body?" Stiles said.
"How do you two know about the body. Sky your mom hasn't even been called at the hospital yet to deal with it." She said. I stared at her confused.
"My dad's the sheriff. Ms. Martin, are you okay?" He asked confused.
"Uh, just wait here." She said. She walked past us, and I looked at him confused.
"What the hell is that about?" I muttered as we started down the hallway to start looking for Liam and Hayden. We rounded the corner and we saw Mason.
"Mason!" I called. We ran up to him. He smiled at me before glancing cautioning at Stiles. Okay something weird was going on.
"Hey where's Liam?" Stiles asked and then they came up behind him. I smiled.
"Okay, there we go. Liam, Hayden. Perfect." Stiles breathed. They jumped back startled. I stared at them confused.
"Guys you gotta listen to us." I said.
"Alex is gone just like his parents, okay?" Stiles said.
"And we think you're next so you can't be alone." I said. They both stared at us confused.
"You gotta stick with Scott, Me, and Sky because I can see them." He said. They looked at him really confused. I stared at them confused. I also glanced at Stiles's confused. Why can he see them?
"Why they hell are you guys looking like that?" I asked. Hayden and Liam started whispering how they didn't know Stiles and my heart plummeted into my stomach.
"Guys come on its Stiles." I said.
"Sky…we never met your friend." Liam said. That's when Stiles stared out into space for a second.
"Guys it's Stiles! My boyfriend. He's on the lacrosse team with you. He's gone to this school forever. Since Scott bit you!" I snapped at Liam angrily. He held up his hands. That's when Stiles went running through them and I glanced over to see Stiles's dad walking down the hallway.
"Stiles wait!" I called out. I ran after him through Liam, Hayden, and Mason.
"Son, you okay?" Sheriff Stilinski asked as Stiles hugged him. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh, thank god. Thank god! Everyone's forgetting." Stiles said pulling back from the hug, staring at him.
"Everyone is forgetting everything." He said.
"Okay, okay. Slow down. We'll figure this out together. Now, why don't you tell me your name." Sheriff Stilinski said. I saw Stiles let his dad go and back away from him slightly. My eyes widened.
"Stiles." I said as I saw the panic set into his eyes. He started down the hallway and he stared at me as Sheriff Stilinski answered the phone. I looked at him and ran over to him.
"Hey! Wait listen what's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm next." Stiles said.
"Wait, what?" I said as my eyes teared up. Then I realized he might be right. Everyone was forgetting him.
"Sky…I'm next." He said. He stared at me.
"No, no. You can't be!" I said as tears started to gather in my eyes. Stiles pushed passed me and ran outside. I followed him and that's when he ran into Lydia.
"Sky! Stiles!" Lydia said.
"Why is he next?!" I screamed as tears ran down my cheeks.
"Because he saw them!" She said. That stupid house.
"Oh my god. The house. Alex's house." I muttered, as I shook my head in disbelief.
"Did you see them?" She asked. I shook my head. He had yanked me down when he saw him in the hallway causing me to fall onto him in the process.
"No, I didn't." I whispered as Stiles hugged me to him as I was slowly breaking down into pieces. I felt him shift and then looked at Lydia.
"Do you see him?" Lydia asked.
"See what?" We asked. Stiles glanced down at me and gave me the biggest kiss of my life. He caressed my cheek bones lightly.
"You both have to get away from me now." He said. I shook my head quickly.
"We're not leaving you!" We said.
"Alright fine come on." He said. We started running and every now and then we would stop he would look around us as if he was seeing something we couldn't
"This way! Whatever you do don't look at them. Don't scream Lydia. Don't do anything." He said as we ran for his jeep. I hopped in the front while Lydia crawled into the back. I sat there in the jeep panting as tears ran down my face. I was praying to whatever supernatural god there was to please not take Stiles but me. Stiles looked over at me.
"What are you doing? Let's go." I said as he had his hand on the keys ready to start the jeep. He pulled the key out.
"There's no time. I'm going to be erased and you two are going to forget me. Just like Alex." He said. He put his hands on my face and then he glanced back at Lydia who was all panicked. She was holding it better together than I was. I was having a mental and emotional breakdown.
"I won't. No, I won't." She kept saying. I shook my head.
"How could I forget you?" I cried.
"You both will. Just try to find a way to remember. Lydia remember you were the first girl I ever danced with. How I saved your life? Sky you were my first kiss. You were my first everything. Remember that." He murmured. I nodded quickly as I felt my chest start heaving with sobs.
"You saved my life too." Lydia said. I nodded as I sobbed.
"Remember I love you." He said as he looked back at me. I screamed out as he got yanked out the car.
