Bio
THE COWBOY
An orphan who ran away from home, John began his life of crime from a very early age. Hot headed but not very bright, John frequently got himself into trouble. With age came maturity though and John would eventually abandon his life of crime to live a quiet farm life with his family. Unfortunately he would not be granted such an opportunity, as the government would enlist John to hunt down his former gang members. While John would dutifully carry out this request in the hope that he would be allowed to continue his life in peace, the government would again have other plans... John is a no-nonsense man, with little time for people's eccentricities. He is skilled with a variety of weapons and an excellent shot. He has fought armies, criminal gangs and even the undead, yet he's been able to hold his own for the most part.
Intro
John walked into Ross' office again, annoyed that the agent with a napoleon complex wouldn't leave him alone. "Alright Ross, here to do your dirty work again since you ask so kindly." John alerted Ross to his presence. "Ah, Mr. Marston. I knew you'd accept." He had a cigar in his mouth, gesturing for John to sit down. John declined. "You must get your kicks out of pesterin' me and my family." Ross laughed, despite knowing that John meant it, wanting to kill him. "Well, I've got word that there's some bandit that's causing trouble way out somewhere, he's building a militia they want me to take him down. "I've already hunted down the old gang. This can't be my problem." Ross shrugged. "No, but you're better at this thing than I am. So," He threw down a letter. "follow the instructions enclosed and uh...report back to me when you're done. This is the last job. I'll be heading back up north after this." Faced without a choice, John snatched the letter and headed off, hoping that this was the last job he'd have to do.
Rival Scene
Having dispatched all the weird and wonderful outlaws he had come across so far, John continued onto the crystal arena. His next target appeared a little more familiar to him, albeit a little unusual still. A well-built mexican wearing a blue mask. "Howdy partner." The man turned to him. "Habla usted inglés?" He said nothing. John decided to cut to the chase. "I'm sorry partner, but I got a job to do." He pulled out his revolver. "I'll give you a chance to run off. But if you don't take it then I can't guarantee your safety." Juan took a fighting stance. "Your funeral." He fired, only for Juan to avoid the bullet and roll towards him. John rolled out of the way, keeping his revolver trained on Juan. Both of them stood up, maintaining eye contact. "Looks like I've got a fight on my hands." John muttered, keeping a tight hold of his gun.
Outro
John finished the job and returned home. At least for now, Ross hadn't bothered him, though he held his reservations. "What'd that government fella want with ya, pa?" Jack asked. "Some funny government business I didn't even understand. Didn't have nothin' to do with me, that's for sure." That was the way John hoped it would stay as he sat on the porch with his son. "Anyway, that's the last of that, maybe I'll get to stay home for a while." John suggested. "I hope not." Jack sarcastically quipped. "Glad you're so happy to hear that." But it would not be the last. John noticed the sound of hooves racing towards the house alerted them both. John knew what they wanted too. "Jack, go get Uncle." Not even questioning, Jack ran off to find the old man, while John reached for his revolver. He began to glow blue as he took cover. "Somethin' tells me that gift I picked up is gonna come in real handy right about now..."

Author's Note
Rivalry Connection: Both John and Juan share the same name albeit different variations, both games take place in Mexico, both characters come back from the dead, both characters fight the undead and are drawn away from their families to do so.
Man, I love Red Dead Redemption. Pretty much all I can say. Go play it for yourself.
