As Justin got ready to meet his biological father, Alex stood behind him in worry. She had a bad feeling about this guy. He wasn't even involved through the process. At least Justin's real mother gave her contact details to the Russos before disappearing to live her life. She left a part of herself so that her son could dig into her past.

Justin just had to go as far as reconnecting with his father too after seeing the keepsakes his mother had stored for him. It seems that the Russos did a good job of concealing this truth since Alex was born.

Who knows what else they could have been hiding from him?

"There we go. How do I look?" Justin turned around, his bow tie making him look more stupid than elegant.

"Take that off. Now you look better. Just go as yourself. Why are you dressing up like a rich snob?" Alex made a good point as her brother winced at her, eyebrows curved downwards.

"I just want to make a good first impression. I wonder why he didn't leave his contact info with the rest of the stuff he gave me." Alex was dying to let out a snarky comment but she refrained; Justin was in need of her support right now. The least she could do was not be a complete bitch about it for once.

Teresa and Jerry drove them there themselves, with Alex, Justin, and Max in the backseat. If this was under different circumstances, they would be going on a family trip by now. With Max annoying the crap out of Alex and Justin silently reading through a boring book while he waited for the trip to be over.

It had been too long since they've had a proper vacation.

A vacation…

That gave Alex an idea.

"Hey guys, I just had the greatest idea ever. How about we go on vacatio? I can make a Wizard Fast-Pass." Jerry glared at his daughter.

"No, we are not gonna cheat our way into a vacation. If we want a vacation we do it right, by booking tickets and flying there ourselves. It's like that time Justin was stuck at Wiztech and you portaled a door you didn't know how to get rid of for our trip to Italy. Remember that?"

Alex was worried then too. She kissed Mason by accident and felt horrible afterwards but it was just that, a pure accident. Justin was more understanding than anyone and forgave her. They shared some unpleasant memories about that little adventure, but luckily, Justin let her forget all about it as they snuck off for a magic carpet ride.

They hadn't done that in years, but it just felt so wonderful to be in the sky again.

"Vaguely." Alex stayed silent the rest of the trip as her parents pulled up in front of Justin's biological father's house.

He rang the doorbell and waited on the porch. The house was a cream white, with a rickety picket fence and a a small side yard. It looked like a quaint little cottage but they would have to wait to see the inside first.

There was a storm door and two doors making up a bigger door inside. Alex recognized the doggy doors immediately, guessing this family had a dog big enough to fit through that gap.

"What do you's want?" A man, about the same age or a little younger than Justin opened the door. If Alex wasn't dating Justin she would've almost found him cute? She didn't have a thing for country boys, though.

"Hi, I'm Justin Russo. Does Mr. McDonald happen to live here?" The boy's eyes widened before he invited him in.

"Ohhh, I'm so worried. I hope we're doing the right thing. Are we good parents Jerry?" Teresa asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, we are. We're the best parents ever." He comforted his wife as they waited for Justin in the car.

"Guys, get in here, he wants to meet you!" He rushed out to call his family and that gave them the signal to step out.

"Howdy folks! How's it going? I'm Micheal McDonald and this is my son, Billy McDonald. He's your brother, Justin. And we're Wizards just like you, but the only difference is…to gain our power, we made a deal with the devil."

An evil glint flickered in his eye as he laughed maniacally. The Russos were on edge by all of it.

"H-how is that even possible?" Jerry asked. The powers were something passed down for generations by the Wizard council, who selected families long ago. The history on their origins were very long and boring but there was nothing in there about deals with Satan.

"You see, my great-grandfather researched mysteries. The greatest one of all-fairies. He'd caught a glimpse of one or two in his lifetime, but not enough for evidence. He wanted to get an article published about his findings but never could because they hid it so well. Then one day, he had enough. He knew there was a world of Magic itself, and he got to know a group of ghosts. They were by the Graveyard, and for some reason he could see and talk to them. They told him about the Wizard World and he became so obsessed with finding it that he lost his mind. Then he met the devil himself, striking a deal to inherit magical powers with the cost of his soul. Of course, dealing with the devil means sacrificing something. We wanted to keep our powers so we offered him body parts. And you—you were just born with powers. No one knows why but you seem to be the only kid who can do magic without the devil's help."

"O-Kay, I think it's time for us to go. Goodbye, Mr. McDonald." Teresa tried ushering her kids out.

"It might be just a hunch, but I think after we officially welcomed Justin as our son into the Russo family, he was added to the Roster for the kids that get powers. That's why we have his powers on in the fuse box at home." Jerry explained.

"So you pay for them with money?! Hahaha, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." The crazy man added.

"You literally made a deal with the devil, you're one to talk." Justin comments.

"Shut yer mouth, boy. Or I'll close it for you." He pointed his wand at Justin but he simply dodged out of the way.

"Alex, I'm sorry." Even though she saw it coming from miles away, she couldn't help but gloat to her parents' dismay.

"About…?"

"Me prying into my past. I should have just stayed at home with my real family—with the real mom and dad that raised me." Justin smirked as his adoptive parents simply smiled at him, proud of their eldest.

Alex gave him a hug as he defended himself in a stance where his wand was still ready if the other wizards were to try anything.

"How sweet. Sorry to cut this short, Justin, but I'm going to have to sacrifice you now that you've returned. I'm sure my savior will be glad to have you in his hands since you're the exception." Justin's arrogant expression twisted into one of horror as he slowly realized that he McDonald family lured him into a trap.

Time was running out and Justin saw the abyss as he was pulled by unknown forces towards the heavy oak door. He saw as Micheal and Billy were struggling that the door was indeed difficult to keep open for long.

"Justin!" Alex called out to him, running over to save him.

"Stop! You can't come any closer. The pull is strong. The portal wants me. Listen, you have to run. I don't know what's going to happen to me once I get to the other side but if it really does lead to…the underworld…then I'm not expecting anything pleasant out of it." He wasn't expecting to say goodbye but it looked like there was no way out of this.

He was finally fully submerged by the time he was done, a single tear falling from his eye and falling the opposite direction since water wasn't really welcomed in hell. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

He remembered the distinct smell of death, pineapples, and then grapes. Then he was spit back out through the portal. His entire body flung forward and his father broke the fall.

"Justin! You're back." Jerry patted him a few times before passing out.

"Wh-what? It rejected you? But he'll rejects nobody, not even us!" Micheal, to demonstrate, foolishly opened the door and threw himself into the hellish landscape Justin had just gone through to find that he was not allowed to leave like Justin did. "Hey! I'm trapped here. Billy, I'm gonna need you to call up your sister in Nebraska." The old man boomed.

"No life is worth living without you dad!" He screamed.

"Billy, don't you come in here—"

"All or nothing!" He ran into the portal and the door slammed behind him, not even allowing them a chance back even if they desired it.

"You're okay!" His family crowded around him, enveloping Justin in a hug as he smiled, happy that everyone was concerned for him.

"Are you sure you're okay with being the only Wizard in your family that didn't get your powers because of the Devil?" Teresa asked, looking around anxiously as she knew Satan was real now.

"I'm more than okay with that. For once, I'm glad I'm an outcast with this group of Wizards. I was never planning on joining forces with the Devil anyways." Justin replied.

"I believe you, son. You know, I'm so proud of you for tricking your biological family and pushing them into the underworld because they were demons. Thank goodness they didn't convert you over to the dark side, huh?" Jerry patted his back as Justin smirked a bit, nodding in response.

"It's not a lot of fun, in my experience. You just end up getting betrayed by your boss in the end. Or disappointed."

As everyone made their way back to the car, Alex couldn't help but notice that something was off about Justin. He seemed more…fun. And more charismatic.

Somewhere in the Underworld…

"Looks like things are starting to get interesting." An eerie voice booms.

"You got that right, S! I can't wait to get my hands on that gem and bring it back to Hell with me. It will look perfect in my collection." The man lets out an evil laugh before turning to face the direction of where the camera would be located if this were a tv show.

He noticeably had the same appearance as Justin, except this version was more ripped, and he had a single grey streak in his hair. The mark of evil. Along with a single six on his forehead.
