Bio
THE LIMBLESS HERO
Rayman is a mysterious creature who protects his home world from the many different villains who threaten it. Rayman has various conflicting origin stories though it appears that he was created by the Nypmhs as a hero to protect the world. Since then he's defeated all manner of villains from Mr. Dark, Captain Razorbeard, André and Reflux. With the help of allies such as Ly the Fairy, Globox and Betilla, Rayman had plenty of backup should he ever need it, but he gets on fine by himself. His limbs are able to stretch really far thanks to not being attached to his body and he makes use of a few unorthodox weapons as well. He may not be the most serious hero, but he always manages to save the day.
Intro
"Rayman!" Rayman fell out of his hammock, startled by the shouting. He quickly picked himself up and shook his head to get rid of the sleepiness. It was Murfy who had woken him. "Polokus has given us a new mission!" He informed him. "A new mission? Sounds exciting!" Globox came racing towards the two, coming to a stop just before he collided with them. "Globox? I gave up trying to wake you after the first hour..." He cleared his throat. "Anyway, there's a king in a far off land who threatens our land with invasion. Polokus has told me that the only way we can defeat this guy is by travelling to his land and defeating him before he gets the chance to launch his invasion." The three stood there awkwardly, waiting for Murfy to address the elephant in the room. "No, I don't know who this guy is, or if he is planning to invade...or if he's real. But are we just gonna sit around and wait to be invaded? Let's go kick his butt!" That spurred them into action. "Yeah!" Rayman threw his fist into the air and raced off, with Globox and Murfy in tow.
Rival Scene
Rayman and his two sidekicks arrived in the crystal arena in great shape. "Shouldn't be too far now Rayman, Polokus said that the king would be in a place like this...if only we knew what he looked like..." Globox pointed. "There! That's him!" It was a strange blue humanoid creature with its mouth sewn shut riding atop a weird dinosaur creature with pinsirs above its eyes. "Really?" Rayman scratched his head. He didn't look very...regal. The trio approached him. "Excuse me, are you the king around here?" Murfy asked. "Hm?" Abe was confused. He had heard 'liberator' before, but never king. "No, I'm not a king..." He shook his head. That seemed to satisfy them. They turned to leave, only for Globox to come up with a revalation. "Ah! But why would he tell us if he was?!" It was a good point. "Well...good point." Elum, Abe's steed began growling at them as they prepared an attack plan. "Well, I guess we'll just have to make sure." Murfy suggested.
Outro
In the end, it wasn't anything Rayman couldn't handle. He was pretty quick on his way back home to his hammock, to get some much needed rest. "Well, that was fun." He admitted, before plonking himself back down for a nap. "See ya Rayman!" Globox waved before making his way home. That only left Murfy to tell Polokus about how the mission went. "Everything went well, yes?" The deity asked. "Yes." Murfy replied. "Rayman was more than capable of dealing with that king and his minions." Polokus smiled while playing with his beard. "Good. Now I can rest easy." Murfy decided to bring up the question that had been bugging him. "I have to ask, was that guy any threat to us? How do you know he was going to overthrow you?" Polokus thought about it for a second before giving an answer. "Well, it's like this. I never think any of my dreams will be bad, but sometimes they are! So if I know there's going to be some bad dreams, then I can do something to stop them." Elsewhere, Rayman was soundly asleep in his hammock, starting to emanate a blue aura. "That Rayman character is pretty good at stopping those bad things too, so it helps to have him to rely on."

Author's Note
I must confess to taking a lot of notes from a Smash fan entry, but oh well. He's more likely to be a smash fighter now given that he's already in SSBU but so are a lot of characters. I hope we see a new Rayman game soon, though I've yet to play Origins and Legends despite the fact that both looked really really good. One thing I wasn't quite sure about is whether Rayman should be mostly mute like he is in newer games or whether he should be able to speak. Having him be able to speak made writing his cutscenes easier, that's for sure. I've always found it interesting that Rayman originated on the Atari Jaguar. Copies often run into the hundreds so I haven't been able to get one yet but it is never not funny to think that in an alternate universe where the Jaguar survived, Rayman could be in Atari All-Stars.
