THE MAN WHO MAKES THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE

Bio

Solid Snake is the codename of David, a clone of the legendary soldier Big Boss. Snake would go onto become a legendary soldier in his own right, averting nuclear war on multiple occassions. His stealthy approach to combat is what he is most used to, but Snake is no slouch in open battle. He has taken down several Metal Gears, psychics and his own twin. With his skill in hand to hand combat as well as his adeptness in using all manner of firearms, Snake is an extremely tough opponent. While all he really wants to do is go dog-sledding in Alaska, Snake remains committed to his duties with a professional stoicism that has seen him come out on top in every battle he's fought.

Intro

Snake had successfully infiltrated the base. Somewhere in the jungles of North India, he'd been tasked with this about a week ago. Getting to it was the hard part. Once inside it seemed as though nobody was there. "Otacon, are you picking up any heat signatures?" He asked. "Um...no. That's weird." Snake advanced cautiously to the main point of interest. "Maybe this is a red herring." Snake suggested. "But I'd better make sure. There could be anything in here." He was right. He ventured into one room where a computer was on with a file open on the desktop. "Otacon, are you seeing this?" Snake asked. Snake's name was at the top. "I-uh, yeah but I'm having a hard time believing this. Someone knew you were coming and left a mission for you." Snake raised an eyebrow. "Who?" Otacon scratched his head. "I don't know...it's anonymous. The gist of it is that there's someone claiming to have power to surpass Metal Gear. They want you to come and fight for it. If you win, it's yours." Snake paused. It sounded a little farfetched, but what if it was true? That was a very real possibility. "Send me the co-ordinates. We have to at least make sure this is fake." Snake ordered. "You can't be serious! We don't have any-" "What we don't have is time. The co-ordinates, now." Otacon complied as Snake figured out his next point of call. "Let's see if you're really all you're hyping yourself up to be." He muttered to himself, staring at the instructions in his Solid Eye.

Rival Scene

Snake hid behind one of the hexagonal prisms, observing his target from a distance. She was wearing a blindfold and appeared to be suspending two swords in mid-air next to her back. "Otacon, I need any information you can get on that woman." A second later, he had some. "I'm not picking up organic heat signals, which means she must be mechanical-Snake, do you think this is it?" Snake thought about it. It made as much sense as anything else. "Only one way to-" "Please state your identity." Crap. She had found him. Snake stepped out from his cover. She hadn't drawn either of her swords yet interestingly. "Who are you? Praying Mantis? Raven Sword?" Snake already had drawn his gun. "I don't know of these names." She replied. "I am YoRHa No. 2 Type B. I am pledged to the serve mankind." Snake didn't lower his weapon. "Otacon, anything new?" 2B continued to survey him. "I wish I knew more, but it's like she's miles in advance of anything made by humans." That didn't phase Snake. "I'll just have to take her out." 2B finally drew Virtuous Contract. "I am pledged to serve mankind, but I will respond to hostility with overwhelming force." She warned. "You're not the first I've taken down." Snake warned. "You won't be the last either."

Outro

"Well, at least we're back in our own world now." Otacon in truth had never left but Snake didn't want to chastise him for that. At least not now. It had been a hectic time for Snake, now finding himself back at base. Where he was going next was a mystery to him. "How are we gonna explain any of this?" Otacon asked. "We won't." Snake replied, much to the computer nerd's shock. "Snake, we can't cover this up!" But once again he begged to differ. "That's the way it has to be. I don't want anyone knowing about it. Not FOXHOUND, not anybody. I've always told you I fight for myself. I'm not going to turn over such power to them. It will inevitably corrupt whoever uses it and I cannot allow that to happen." He explained. "Then...what will you do with it?" Otacon asked. Snake began to glow blue. "I'll take it to the grave with me."

Author's Note

I'm not even going to attempt to try and wrap my head around the Metal Gear storyline. I understand that the beehive isn't something that Solid Snake does but I thought it was really funny and wanted to include it. I haven't gotten into it and at this stage it seems like a fairly hefty task. Not that I'm totally opposed to it, I just don't know where I'd find the time. It was suggested to me the last time I did this fic that I should have included Snake, the reason I ommitted him being his inclusion in Smash Bros. Then after that Cloud was introduced along with a lot of others and I figured, what the hell, might as well. Why isn't Cloud in this? Long story.
