Neo Domino City, built after the a cataclysmic event completely destroyed Old Domino City which is now run down island called the Satellite. The construction of Neo Domino City was solely funded by KaibaCorp. KaibaCorp has grown from a mere gaming company to a conglomerate that not only makes the best games but also the best D-Wheels, amusement parks, duel academies, security, technology and even reusable energy. Seto Kaiba took the company further than anyone could've foreseen, making it the top company in the world.

Now he's dead.

There's been rumors about who's going to take over KaibaCorp. Many have stepped foreword in ambitious moves to take over the company. There have even been rumors that Rex Goodwin would take over. What they don't know is that Seto Kaiba's will states that all of his shares of KaibaCorp will go to his son, Raiden.

Raiden Kaiba is Seto's oldest child at sixteen years old. Raiden has been groomed to run the company ever since he was a child. He's been to boarding schools, business schools and when he was done with those he went to the Central Duel Academy. He easily got into Obelisk Blue and quickly became the top student in both class and dueling.

After graduating he entered the Pro League where he met his dueling peers. He battled many difficult duels and came out on top. With his Blue-Eyes deck he became one of the top duelist in the world. But now he had to put his Duel Disk away and run and entire company and the many subsidiaries of that company.

Now standing in his office, at the top floor of Kaiba Tower, Raiden looked down at the city below him and then over at the Satellite in the bay. The sun had already begun to set giving the sky an orange hue. The teen then looked at his own reflection in the window. He observed himself, his pale skin, blue eyes and silver-white hair. Most of the board members believe that he's too young and inexperienced to run KaibaCorp but he'll prove them wrong.

He'll prove them all wrong.

"Sir, Mr. Goodwin and Mr. Atlas are here to see you." His assistant said through the intercom on his desk.

"Send them in." He replied before took the seat behind his desk.

The doors to his office opened revealing Rex Goodwin and Jack Atlas. Jack has become a rising star in the Turbo Dueling scene with Rex endorsing him. Rex has kept Jack's past a secret from the general public but unbeknownst to them Raiden knew everything. His father made it his mission to know everything that happened in Neo Domino as well as the Satellite through informants, secret cameras and microphones. If anything of significance happened in the city he'd know about it.

"Mr. Kaiba, I see you've settled into your new position." Rex greeted but Raiden didn't return the niceties.

Raiden glared at the two men as they sat down on the other side of his desk, "What do you want Rex?" He asked coldly, "Skip the false kindness and make it quick."

"Of course." Rex bowed his head seemingly unfazed, "You may know Jack Atlas, he's grown quite popular in Turbo Dueling." He gestured to the blonde on his right, "He's quite the talented duelist."

"I've seen better." Raiden replied without so much as a glance towards Jack who immediately glared at him.

Rex immediately cut in before Jack could shoot whatever insult he was preparing to say, "Of course, your years in the Pro League leave no room for debate on your dueling experience." Raiden only gave Goodwin an expecting look, "Be that as it may I'm sure you could see Jack's potential as not only being a talented duelist but the best in the -"

"You want me to endorse him." Raiden cut in silencing Rex. The CEO's eyes darted to Jack, inspecting him silently. Raiden simply said, "No."

"Why not?!" Jack exclaimed standing up from the chair. He slammed his hands on Raiden's desk, "I can beat any challenger who comes my way, I can run circles around them on my D-Wheel. I will go to the top, you'd have to be an idiot not to endorse me."

Raiden remained calm, "Where are from Jack? Where did you grow up?"

Rex quickly answered, "Mr. Atlas here is native to Neo Domino -"

"No he's not." Raiden cut in, "He's Jack Atlas, born in the Satellite. He got here because he stabbed his friends in the back on your orders." The two fell into shocked silence as Raiden stood from his chair, "Do you know how I became CEO of KaibCorp, Jack?"

"Nepotism." Jack sneered.

Raiden only replied, "Hard work." He reached into his desk and revealed his Dueling Deck, "The day my father sent be to boarding school he told me something." He stared directly at Jack as he began to shuffle the cards, "He told me to always be on top, to always strive for the best because KaibaCorp deserves nothing less than the best. If I didn't reach the requirements, he had for me then he would've chosen someone else to be CEO." He stopped shuffling and pulled out the top card in his deck, "I received perfect scores on all of my assignments, became the top in every one of my classes, and I've never once lost a duel. Seto Kaiba never settled for mediocrity, and neither will I." He revealed the card to be Blue-Eyes White Dragon, "Hard work, determination and resilience are the lessons my father taught me before he departed this world, and I will honor those lessons." He drew two more cards revealing his second and third Blue-Eyes White Dragons, "Endorsing a thieving, backstabbing excuse of a duelist like you who took the easy way out would be a stain on his memory. It would make me unworthy of a card as magnificent as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon."

Jack could only glare at the KaibaCorp President before he drew a card from his own deck, Red Dragon Archfiend, "I'll show you mediocrity! Duel me, if I win you endorse me and if you win Goodwin will endorse me out of his own pocket."

"Mr. Kaiba forgive Jack for his outburst I'll gladly -"

"Fine by me." Raiden replied before he pulled out his state of the art Duel Disk from his desk, "This won't take long." He pushed a button on his desk and the whole room changed.

Raiden's desk and chair descended into the floor as the room around them transformed into a mausoleum with pure white marble walls and pillars. Jack who already had his Duel Disk on took the left side of the room as Raiden took the right.

"Let's Duel!" They both yelled as the Duel began.

Raiden Kaiba: 4000 LP

Jack Atlas: 4000 LP

They both drew five cards before Jack exclaimed, "I'll go first!" He drew once more before he gave his hand a quick glance before he made his move, "I summon Red Sprinter!"

A beast that appeared to be a cross between an ox, horse and human appeared on the field. Red flames trailed down its back before they became a tail.

Red Sprinter: LV 4 (Atk/1700 Def/1200)

"Since I summoned it when I have no other monsters on the field I get to special summon my Dark Resonator from my hand!" He smirked as he summoned the tuner monster.

A small, round monster in robes appeared on the field. It shot Raiden a wicked toothy smile.

Dark Resonator: LV 3 (Atk/1300 Def/300)

"Now, I'll use my two monsters to Synchro Summon." He declared.

The two monsters faded away leaving only seven stars in their place. Three of the stars began to rotate into three rings as the remaining four stars lined up within them.

"The ruler's shouts echo throughout! Hammer of Victory shatter the very earth! Synchro Summon! Flap your wings, Exploder Dragonwing!" He declared as the stars burst into a single beam of light.

A grotesque dragon appeared out from the light. It let out a menacing roar at Raiden who still had no monsters.

Exploder Dragonwing: LV 7 (Atk/2400 Def/1600)

"You're lucky I can't attack yet, Kaiba." He sneered as he placed a single card face down.

"I knew this Duel wouldn't last long." Raiden said as he drew a card, "Let kick things off with a bang! By revealing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand I get to special summon my Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"

A blue bolt of lightning struck down revealing the dragon ad blue energy radiated through its body like veins.

Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

"But why should I stop there?" Raiden smirked, "I activate the field spell Mausoleum of White!"

The field around began to shine before a marble pillar sprouted from the ground with a statue of Blue-Eyes White Dragon at the top.

"Now I summon the Master with Eyes of Blue!" He declared as a man with pale skin, blue eyes, and white hair that all matched his own appeared.

Master with Eyes of Blue: LV 1 (Atk/300 Def/300)

"Now I activate the effect of Sage with Eyes of Blue from my hand!" He revealed the card in his hand, "By discarding it and sending my Master to the graveyard I can summon any Blue-Eyes monster from my deck. Rise from the depths of space and grace us with your presence. Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon!"

Master with Eyes of Blue vanished in a beam of white light before the light took shape into a majestic four-winged dragon.

Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/2500 Def/2500)

"Since I special summoned it my dragon's ability allows me to add my Polymerization to my hand." He draw the spell card before he smirked, "Two heads are better than one, I Fusion Summon!"

Polymerization appeared on the field as Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon was joined by Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"Prepare to face the unstoppable power of my Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon!" Raiden watched his two dragons merged into one ferocious beast.

Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon: LV 10 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

"Now Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon, destroy his Exploder Dragonwing. Cosmic Blast!"

Blue energy began to charge in the ring on the dragon's back before it unleashed it in a mighty blast of energy. The blast bore right through Exploder Dragonwing before the monster exploded in blue flames.

Jack Atlas: 4000 – 3900 LP

"Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon! Attack him directly with Double Lightning Burst!" Raiden ordered and the two headed dragon let out two identical roars.

"Not so fast, Kaiba. Go, Shadow Spell!" Jack exclaimed as his face down card revealed, "Not only is your Dragon immobilized but it also loses seven hundred attack points."

Chains sprouted out from the ground, ensnaring the two heads Dragon. Blue-Eyes struggled against the chains to no avail.

Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon (Atk/ 3000 – 2300)

Raiden glared at Jack before he continued with his turn.

"Fine then I'll activate Card of Sanctity." The Spell Card appeared beside Raiden, "Now we both draw until we have six cards."

"Just what is he up to?" Jack muttered as he drew his last card.

"I'll set two cards face down and end my turn." Raiden declared as two cards appeared at his feet.

"You've made the biggest mistake by allowing my access to my best cards, Kaiba." Jack said as he drew, "Since I have no monsters on the field I get to summon Vice Dragon!"

A purple, boney dragon with green membranes on its wings appeared. It gave an ear-piercing roar.

"However, since I special summoned it Vice Dragon's attack and defense are halved." Jack said as the monster seemed to calm down.

Vice Dragon: LV 5 (Atk/1000 Def/1200)

"But no matter since I summon Flare Resonator!" He declared, summoning a second monster.

A new tuner monster baring great resemblance to the previous one appeared.

"Now, Synchro Summon!" He declared as the monsters faded away into eight stars, "The ruler's heartbeat will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power! Synchro Summon! My very soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!"

A pillar of light exploded on the field before revealing Red Dragon Archfiend. The demonic dragon looked down at Raiden before unleashing a monstrous roar.

Red Dragon Archfiend: LV 8 (Atk/3300 Def/2500)

"Since I summoned it using Flare Resonator my dragon gains three hundred additional attack points." He said as the dragon let our a roar, "Now Red Dragon Archfiend destroy his Twin Burst Dragon! Blazing Crimson Hell Fire!" Jack ordered.

Crimson flames began to form around Red Dragon Archfiend's fist. The flames continued to build until it burned like the sun. It lunged foreword aiming for the immobilized dragon.

Raiden quickly said, "Not so fast! I activate De-Fusion."

The left card at Raiden's feet flipped up revealing the spell card. The two headed dragon erupted in a burst of light, breaking the chains that bound it. Red Dragon Archfiend's attack missed as the dragon split apart. Red Dragon Archfiend flapped its wings and returned to Jack's side of the field. Jack glared as there were now three Blue-Eyes Monsters on his side of the field.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

"Very well, I'll set two cards face down and end it." He said obviously irritated.

"I summon the White Stone of Ancients!" He smiled as a white stone appeared on the field.

The White Stone of Ancients: LV 1 (Atk/600 Def/500)

"I'll use it along with my Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon to Synchro Summon the monster that will end this Duel. Come forth from your domain in the heavens! Grace us with your holy light! Synchro Summon! My spirit personified, Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon!"

White light engulfed the field as a pearl and gold colored dragon descended down to them.

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon: LV 9 (Atk/2500 Def/3000)

"Now I'll take things to the maximum level!" He said before revealing a card in his hand, Chaos Form, "By sacrificing my Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, I'm able to Ritual Summon the darkest of my dragons. Time to bring the pain, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon!"

A large bionic looking dragon appeared on the field. It towered over every monster on the field.

Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/4000 Def/0)

"Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon attack!" Raiden ordered and the dragon let out a roar.

Beams of blue light shot out from the beads in the dragon's wings before it unleashed a large one from its mouth. The beams all converged towards Red Dragon Archfiend.

Jack quickly reacted, "I activate my trap card, Synchro Deflector!" The card flipped up, "Not only do I negate your attack I also get to destroy one of your own monsters such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

The blue beams bounced off of a white barrier and darted towards Blue-Eyes, but Raiden wasn't going to let his dragon be destroyed, "I activate my own trap, the Ultimate Creature of Destruction!" Raiden's final face down flipped up, "Now my Blue-Eyes White Dragon is unaffected by your card's effect."

A blue aura radiated around Blue-Eyes causing the beams to bounce off of it.

"Lucky move." Jack said.

"I don't need luck." Raiden replied as he set a single face down, "Since it's the end of my turn, I can use the White Stone of Ancients' ability and special summon a single Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my deck."

"Another one?" Jack asked, irritated as the third dragon appeared.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

"He won't be around for long." Jack smirked, "Since your other dragons didn't attack this turn my Red Dragon Archfiend can wipe them all out! Now, Red Dragon Archfiend, wipe them off the face of the earth!"

A burning red aura radiated off of Red Dragon Archfiend before it the aura burst towards the three dragons that didn't attack.

Raiden didn't flinch as he saw the attack coming, "Now! Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, return to the heavens!"

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon bursts into an array of pure white light. Jack flinched at the sight of it but kept his eyes on the dragon's silhouette no matter how hard it was to make out. Just what is he doing?

Raiden didn't flinch nor looked away from the light as a new monster appeared, "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's departure makes way for a new dragon! Rise and amaze use with your shimmering visage, Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon!"

Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon: LV 9 (Atk/2500 Def/3000)

"Since I special summoned it, I can use its ability to protect all of my dragons, Silver Shield!" Raiden declared as a dazzling shield appeared on his side of the field negating Red Dragon Archfiend's ability, "My dragons are safe."

"For now." Jack shot back as he drew a card, "I activate Monster Reborn, and I'll use it to summon Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon!"

"What?!" Raiden exclaimed.

Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon appeared on Jack's side of the field much to Raiden's rage.

Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/2500 Def/2500)

"And since I special summoned it, I can add my own Polymerization to my hand." Jack drew the spell card, "Next I'll use Pot of Greed and draw two more cards!" He drew and gave his hand a quick glance, "I'll set two cards face down and now, Red Dragon Archfiend, destroy his Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Blazing Crimson Hell Fire!"

Red Dragon Archfiend's fist lit up with fire before it charged at Blue-Eyes and destroying it with a mighty punch.

Raiden Kaiba: 4000 – 3700 LP

"Did you enjoy that, Kaiba? Not only did I take one of your dragons, but I also destroyed another." Jack taunted receiving an icy cold glare.

"Your first mistake was challenging me to a duel." Raiden drew, "Your second was taking my Blue-Eyes! Now, Chaos MAX Dragon, destroy Red Dragon Archfiend!"

The dragon once again fired beams of blue light towards Red Dragon Archfiend. Jack only smiled, he wanted this to happen.

"Now, I activate the trap, Assault Spirits. By sending my Synchro Magnet to the graveyard I get to add it's attack points to Red Dragon Archfiend's." Jack said sending the card from his hand to the grave.

Red Dragon Archfiend (Atk/ 3300 – 4300)

"Red Dragon Archfiend, counterattack, Blazing Crimson Hell Fire!" Jack declared as Red Dragon Archfiend flew up.

Once again Red Dragon Archfiend's fist was set ablaze as it maneuvered around the blue beams of energy. Its fist clashed with Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon's chest, destroying it in a ball of fire.

Raiden grunted as his Dragon exploded.

Raiden Kaiba: 4700 – 4400 LP

"No matter how many of my dragons you destroy there will always be more!" Raiden declared revealing a card in his hand, "From the furthest reaches of the cosmos comes the unstoppable, Deep-Eyes White Dragon!"

A portal into space opened above Raiden as a brand-new dragon flew out. It had five wings attached to the ring on its back.

"Deep-Eyes inherits the attack points of my ritual monster." He declares as Deep-Eyes gave out a roar as it grew in power.

Deep-Eyes White Dragon: LV 10 (Atk/4000 Def/0000)

"Not only that you also take six hundred points of damage for each Dragon in my graveyard, and I count four." He declared as the spirits of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, Blue-Eyes, and The White Stone of Ancients appeared above Raiden, "Feel their fury!"

The four monsters fired beams of blue energy directly at Jack. The blonde stumbled back as he was hit.

Jack Atlas: 3900 – 2100 LP

"Now, Deep-Eyes, destroy his Blue-Eyes!" Raiden commanded.

Deep-Eyes fired an immensely powerful beam from the ring on its back destroying Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon in a blue explosion.

Jack glared at Kaiba as his life points descended, "No one else is worthy of wielding any of my Blue-Eyes monsters, especially not you." Raiden sneered.

Jack Atlas: 2100 – 600 LP

"I'll end my turn and your dragon's attack points return to normal." Raiden said.

Red Dragon Archfiend (Atk/4300 – 3300)

"Damn you, Kaiba." He glared before he drew his card and smirked, "First I'll activate the spell card, Megamorph! By equipping it to my Red Dragon Archfiend it's attack is doubled."

Red Dragon Archfiend (Atk/3300 – 6600 LP)

"Next I'll activate Scarlet Security and destroy your face down card!" He said placing the card in his duel disk.

The face down card on Raiden's side of the field was revealed to be Return of the Dragon Lords before it was destroyed.

"Now with that reassurance I'll attack Azure-Eyes!" He said pointing to Raiden's final original blue eyes, "Now, Red Dragon Archfiend, attack with Blazing Crimson Hell Fire!"

Red Dragon Archfiend flew across the field and quickly destroyed Azure-Eyes but that wasn't it, "Now I'll activate my final face down card, Lineage of Destruction! Since Red Dragon Archfiend destroyed a monster in defense position it can attack once more. Now destroy Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Red Dragon Archfiend turned its attention toward his final Blue-Eyes White Dragon and destroyed it with a fiery punch. The sheer force of the attack sent Raiden flying off his feet with a yelp.

Raiden Kaiba: 3700 – 100 LP

"Now I'll set a two face downs." He said as he watched Raiden climbing to his feet, "What was that you were talking about earlier, about never settling for mediocrity? It seems that KaibaCorp got exactly that."

Red Dragon Archfiend (Atk/6600 – 1650)

Raiden only glared at Jack as he reached to draw but he hesitated. He clenched his fists, "No, I won't let it start like this!" He declared hotly, "I draw!" He looked at the card and immediately activated it, "I activate my Card of Demise! Now I draw until I have five cards in my hand as long, I discard my entire hand in five turns." He then activated a second card, "Next I'll activate Graceful Charity." He drew three more cards, "I'll discard my Assault Wyvern and Eclipse Wyvern but that's not it I'll also use my Foolish Burial so I can send Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon from my deck to the graveyard."

Jack looked at Kaiba suspiciously, "Just what is he up to?"

"Now I'll activate Dragon Shrine so I can send my final Alexandrite Dragon from my deck to the graveyard and since it's a normal monster I can send Krystal Dragon to the graveyard too." He declared as he used yet another spell, "Next I'll use the Melody of Awakening Dragon. I'll discard Dragon Spirit of White and so I can add my ultimate dragon to my hand." He locked eyes with Jack as he drew, "My Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon!"

"Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon?"

Jacks never heard of such a monster before.

"Now I'll activate Cost Down so I can sacrifice Deep-Eyes for Dragon Spirit of White!" He declared as he only had two cards left in his hand.

Deep-Eyes faded away as a new monster appeared.

Dragon Spirit of White: LV 6 (Atk/2500 Def/2000)

"Now my Dragon banishes one of your face downs!" He declared as Dragon Spirit of White flapped its wings unleashing a powerful gale wind, destroying Jack's card, "Now I use Dragon Spirit of White's second ability. It sacrifices itself so I can summon my final Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand!"

Once again one dragon was replaced with another.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon: LV 8 (Atk/3000 Def/2500)

"Now I'll use my final card, Dragon's Mirror! By banishing my three original Blue-Eyes White Dragons I'm able to fusion summon. Come forth, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

The three original Blue-Eyes White Dragons appeared behind Raiden before they merged together as one. The three headed dragon let out a trio of roars at Jack.

"Now, the conditions are met." He declared.

"Conditions?" Jack asked, "What are you talking about?" He demanded.

"There's only one possible way for me to summon Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, I must sacrifice Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon." He raised his card to the sky, "Now my ultimate creature, take flight and show us the true meaning of power!"

Suddenly Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon exploded in a plume of blue flames before a cybernetic dragon flew out of the fire.

"Now, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, inherit the strength of all the dragons in my graveyard!" Said Raiden as the dragon's body began to shine.

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon: LV 10 (Atk/ 3000 – 6300)

"Now, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon and attack!" He declares as the dragon began charging its attack.

"No!" Jack exclaimed defiantly, "Go, Fiendish Chain!" He flipped his final face down, launching a flurry of chains towards Blue-Eyes but the moment they touched its metallic body they shattered.

"My dragon's Shining Diffusion ability makes it immune to all card effects." Raiden said as the dragon finally charged its attack, "Now, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, end this duel. Shining Neutron Blast!"

Energy moved up from the dragon's body before it converged at its mouth before it fired a mighty blast of energy. Jack could only watch as the beam barred down on him and Red Dragon Archfiend. The energy completely obliterated Red Dragon Archfiend reducing it to nothing. The sheer force of the attack caused Jack to fall on one knee.

Jack Atlas: 600 – 0 LP

The room returned to normal as the holographic environment deactivated. Jack glared up at Kaiba and muttered, "How can some privileged little – "

"You're done, now get out of my office." Raiden ordered before he turned to face Rex, "Next time you step through my doors, Goodwin, make sure it's worth my time."

"Of course, sir." Rex gave Raiden a respectful bow, "Come, Jack."

Jack's scornful gaze as Raiden returned to his desk, "Mark my words Kaiba, one day I'll be king and when I am, I'll come back to beat you."

Raiden didn't spare Jack a glance, "If you ever want the privilege of dueling me again then you better set things right." He sat down on his desk and eyed Jack, "As long as you remain the way you are now then I won't waste my time with you."

Jack only glared at Raiden as Rex opened the door, "We're leaving Jack."

Once the two left his office he let out a content sigh. That probably was the only duel he's going to play in a while. After a minute one quickly went back to work, typing away on his computer. His work was interrupted once more when a face appeared on the screen of his computer.

"Raiden!" One the screen was his younger sister.

"Katsumi." He sighed, "I was working."

"And this is when you told me to video call you." She shot back, "Check the clock."

He didn't need to check the clock to know she's right, "Sorry, there was a something that held me up earlier. So, what's up?"

"Guess who just passed the entry exam with flying colors. Me!" She backed away from the camera to show off her Obelisk Blue jacket, "They didn't know what hit them!"

"Nice, which strategy did you use?" He asked as she returned to her seat in front of the camera.

"I obviously won with Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair." She replied smugly, "I was two steps ahead the entire time."

"Hey guys!" A second face appeared on screen shrinking Katsumi's window.

"Zinan!" Katsumi exclaimed, "Hey look!" Once again, she backed away and showed off her jacket.

"Obelisk Blue, nice, you know I dominated the entry exams too." He began to say proudly, "I remember it like it was just yesterday."

"We know." Raiden and Katsumi replied.

There wasn't a week that went by where Zinan didn't recite his entry exam duel, turn for turn. He especially gets excited when he talks about how he ended the duel with Thunder Dragon Titan and Chaos Dragon Levianeer.

"Can I tell you about my duel before you tell us about yours for the hundredth time." Katsumi suggested as Zinan continued, "Of course not."

"Zinan, how about we round back to your story later so we can hear about Katsumi's duel." He suggested.

"Fine." He said dejected.

Katsumi immediately gushed about her duel against a school duelist. Raiden gave her his full attention with a pleasant smile. She was animated in the way she waved her hands around trying to exude the full scale of the duel. She was quite proud of herself and her deck.

Katsumi has always loved the Dragunity monsters ever since she picked up on Duel Monsters. She's meticulously built her deck and created strategies for every possible situation. Zinan created what he called a Chaos Thunder Dragon deck. He's long preferred the Thunder Dragons that their father had used on occasion. He'd decided to spice his deck up with Chaos monsters such as Chaos Dragon Levianeer, and Chaos Valkyria.

"You really kicked ass." Zinan said excitedly, "I can't wait to hear more about your duels."

"Me neither!" She replied excitedly, "I got to cut it short guys, sorry but I want to get up and early for my first day tomorrow." She gave them a parting wave.

"Hard to believe she's thirteen, right?" Zinan said after Katsumi logged off.

"I felt the same way when you got into the academy." He replied, "Now you're about to start your third year."

Raiden had graduated early from Duel Academy given his high test scores and dueling performance. Zinan, attended Duel Academy right after his thirteenth birthday and now at fifteen he's already the top duelist in his year. They had a headstart on their studies before they even began the entrance exam. Their father taught them everything there is to know about Duel Monsters.

"Is there anything up with you?" Zinan asked.

"Did you notice that we haven't talked about dad since the funeral?" Raiden asked.

Zinan immediately tensed, "Well. . .it's hard you know. One day he was here and the next he wasn't, and we didn't even get to hang around each other before we had to head to Duel Academy and you had to go run KaibaCorp. A lot of things happened all at once."

"Yeah." He sighed burying his face on his hands, "At least he's with mom now."

"Yeah." Zinan replied, "Before I go to bed is everything good back home?"

"Yeah, mostly." He sat back on his chair, "I had a meeting with Rex Goodwin and Jack Atlas today."

"You don't sound happy about it. Did it go bad?" He asked getting a chuckle in reply.

"Not for me." Raiden smirked, "Goodwin wanted me to endorse Jack but I refused. Needless to say, Atlas didn't like that so we ended up dueling to see if he could force me to, but he was soundly defeated."

"Did you go overboard again?" Asked Zinan, "Were you trying to win or trying to break his spirit?"

"Two things can be true." Raiden shrugged, "But you don't know this guy he's the worst. I'd rather jump off a building than endorse anything he's a part of."

"I'll take your word for it, just don't – " Zinan sighed, "Just don't try to be too much like him."

Raiden blinked in confusion before he replied, "Dad made KaibaCorp the best gaming company on earth, I could only dream to be anything like him."

"He was also a bit of an asshole, I loved him, but he had asshole tendencies." Zinan quickly replied, "I just don't want you to end up like one of those high and mighty assholes on the board."

"Believe me I won't end up like any of those idiots." Raiden yawned, "Alright I have to let you go, I have an early morning."

"Yeah, me too." The younger brother replied, "Let's talk again soon."

"Yeah, night." He hung up the video call before he spun his chair around to look out at the night sky before his gaze drifted down to the city below. The lights of the city allowed a pleasant glow to illuminate his otherwise dark office. His gaze drifted from Neo Domino to the Satellite, and he hummed, "I wonder."
