Bio

THE FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD SPIDER-MAN

The friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, aka Peter Parker is perhaps the most iconic comic book hero of all time. From Queens, Peter has been fighting crime for over eight years, though he struggles to balance being Spider-Man with being Peter Parker. Despite living a double life, some people are aware of his secret. His protégé Miles Morales, his girlfriend Mary-Jane 'MJ' Watson and some of the villains he fights on a regular basis. Despite his heroism, he is the target of J. Jonah Jameson of the Daily Bugle who is determined to expose Spider-Man as a menace. Regardless, Spider-Man enjoys a great deal of popularity among New Yorkers and manages to keep his identity a secret for the most part. In spite of his great strength, Peter abides by a strict code of non-lethal force. He recognises above all else that with great power comes great responsibility. That being said, he still has hundreds of ways of making his opponents look like fools without having to resort to anything as barbaric as lethal force.

Intro

"Well, it's a good thing I'm not the Symkarian Spider-Man. These buildings are tiny." He had accompanied MJ on an assignment to the East European nation of Symkaria, leaving New York in the hands of his protegé, Miles Morales. Right now he was on his own, having a bit of time off. That was, until his phone rang. "Hey." Peter answered. "Peter. Are you busy?" MJ obviously had something for him to do. "Um...no?" He answered. "Well, I'm getting reports from locals that something strange is coming towards the town. I can send you the co-ordinates, if you could check it out and get some pictures that'd be great." Peter had already put two and two together in his head but he still felt like clarifying it first. "I take it this isn't a job for Peter Parker." There was a brief pause. "No. Did Spider-Man get left in New York?" She asked. Peter smirked. "Well, I'll see if he can swing by. I'll give him a loan of my camera too, if that helps." MJ laughed a little. "Great. Thanks Pete." She hung up. It took him a little while, but soon Peter had suited up. He found the highest point he could checked the co-ordinates on his phone. "Hope this isn't a weird folk tale..." He muttered, before swinging off towards whatever it was that MJ wanted him to check out.

Rival Scene

Peter landed on top of one of the hexagonal columns, carefully scouting the area ahead of him. He could see one man down below deep in thought. Who was he? He looked familiar...then Peter saw electricity sparking from his hands. "Max?" Peter figured it made sense that his foes would try and take the power that was here, but he hadn't seen anyone else before now. It seemed bizarre that it would take him so long to run into one, let alone Electro. Nevertheless, Spidey had done this dance plenty of times. He crawled down the side of the column, until he was close enough to speak clearly. "Hey Max." The man jumped at the sudden voice. "Damn, you snuck up on me." He put his hand on his chest, but never took his eyes off of Peter. "That's an interesting trick there." He noted. That's when Peter realized, in addition to his voice and reaction, this guy hadn't got the face of Max Dillon. "Yeah, I worked on it. Anyway, sorry about that, I thought you were someone else, I'll just be-" "Don't leave just yet." Cole put his hand out to stop Spider-Man as he jumped down off the wall. "I've been looking for people like you." That didn't sound good. "You see, there's a storm coming and it's gonna come for us all sooner or later." Electricity sparked from his hands. "Look buddy, I've got my own city to look after. I don't have time to do your fetch quests." Cole laughed. "I'm afraid I wasn't asking." Cole charged electricity in his hands as Spider-Man assumed a fighting stance.

Outro

"You were gone for a while." MJ greeted Peter as he returned to the place they were staying. "What tip exactly did you get?" He asked her, taking off the mask. "Was it bad?" She asked, somewhat concerned. "It was super weird!" He answered. "I've never been in a place where so many people had it out for me...well, maybe back at home but that's besides the point. But, I guess it was nothing I couldn't handle." He sarcastically flexed his muscles. "I got some good pics as well, but I have no idea how you're gonna spin this to Jameson." He gave his camera to MJ, allowing her to flick through the pictures. "Well, you weren't kidding. These are super weird. Jameson will love these." Peter raised an eyebrow. "You think so?" She threw the camera back to him. "Don't you know your number one fan at all?" She had a point. "Anyway, that must've taken a lot out of you. We'll have a look at these tomorrow." Peter looked out the window. "Funny thing is, I feel better than ever. Maybe it's something I found out there." He began to give off a blue aura. "Can't wait to bring this Symkarian touch back to Manhattan."

Author's Note

I know that there's reasonable concern about putting a comic book character in a video game crossover but since Sony owns Spider-Man and he's had several PS exclusive games at this point, I think it'd be cool. The fact that PS4 Spider-Man starts a separate universe from all the MCU stuff really helps. I was wondering how to spell Spider-Man but the PS4 Spider-Man himself says there's a hyphen, so thanks Sony for the clarification. Peter is in Symkaria for the majority of Miles Morales, which was an ideal time to set his cutscenes.
