Bio

BOY TARZAN

Tomba (known as Tombi in Europe) is a feral child of admittedly limited intelligence. Despite this, he very adaptable and able to learn how to use new weapons with ease. He is mute although fairly easily understood by the people he meets. Tomba has been able to save the land where he lives from evil pigs twice, through his selfless nature and bravery. Through a combination of unorthodox physical combat and nifty magical weapons, Tomba is an unpredictable opponent with the ability to surprise anyone.

Intro

Tomba landed in the fishing village, having been told to be here by Zippo, his insect friend. He looked around, wondering where he might be when Zippo approached him, along with Tabby, his childhood friend. "Thanks for coming, Tomba. I knew you'd help." Tomba smiled. He didn't know what he was helping with exactly, but that hardly mattered. "We've heard news of a wizard from afar who may try and take over the world. We think it might be the pigs again." Tomba immediately became alarmed. "Hold on Tomba, we don't know that yet!" Zippo calmed him down. "Anyway, we have this." Tabby handed him a letter. "We got this threat from whoever this wizard is." Tomba began sniffing the envelope. "It says-hey, where are you going?!" Tomba hadn't wasted a second. With only the scent to track, he took the boat that was docked at the pier and set off for the evil wizard.

Rival Scene

Tomba landed in the arena and sniffed around. He was confident there was a pig here somewhere, all he had to do was track its scent. Sure enough, he found it. He readied himself to attack and lunged into the air. The pig noticed a shadow being cast over him as the caveman prepared to bear down on him. But what should have been an easy catch turned into disaster. A monkey ran by, followed by a boy with spiky hair. Tomba tried to stop himself but his momentum couldn't be cancelled mid-air. He crashed into the boy, sending both of them sprawling. The pig took the opportunity to scuttle off. Tomba got up while holding his head, taking a moment to come to. "Hey! What's the big idea?!" Spike demanded. Tomba had no idea what he was talking about and so chose to ignore him. "Those monkeys are trying to take over the planet, and I was about to catch one!" That reminded him: The pig! Tomba flew into a frenzy, attempting to explain through charades about how the pigs were attempting to take over his home. "Are you mocking me?" Spike asked, getting offended. Tomba scratched his head. Was this boy stupid? "Well, if you think it's so funny then maybe someone needs to teach you some manners!" He held his net out as a threat. Tomba at least understood that. He got ready to fight against the aggressive boy with the butterfly net.

Outro

Tomba docked the boat remarkably well before sprinting ashore and back to where he had left Tabby and Zippo earlier. "Oh, Tomba! You're back!" Tabby was surprised to say the least that Tomba had made it back in one piece. Tomba explained through charades all about how he defeated the evil wizard and his minions, but that none of them were pigs. "Well, whatever they were, we don't have to deal with them anymore." Zippo spoke. "Good job, Tomba!" He had spoken too soon though. Behind them, a group of pigs eyed Tomba menacingly. "Do these guys ever give it a rest?" Tabby wondered out loud. "I guess the term 'pig-headed' comes from somewhere." Zippo suggested. Tomba already sprung into action. As the pigs charged at him, he leaped into the air. "Good thing we have Tomba around." Tabby watched as he began to glow blue. "Agreed! He looks even more prepared than usual to teach those pigs what for!"

Author's Note

The most I know about Tomba is from the 'Really Quiet' clip. Tbf I'd say that's the same for a lot of people. I am aware that Tomba was allegedly going to be DLC for PSAS before that was canned. While this hasn't reached the same level of notoriety as the ReleaseDart campaign I would've been happy with Tomba in the game. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to play his games, physical copies are quite expensive... Anyway, two more to go!
