Summer Rose was bone-tired.
Her combat outfit was tattered; her white hooded cloak stained with a bit of blood and tears, her auburn blouse with studded wristbands and skirt was in the same condition as her cloak, gray leggings ripped in large cuts on her legs, and knee-high boots with red soles covered in dirt.
Her weapon, Solstice, a mechashift gun-sword, weathered to a constant battle against the flood known as Grimm. Its performance has started to slow down after the long exposure of cutting down Grimm along with the bone structures on their bodies. Its blade and edges have gone slightly dull. Dust bullets on her pouches were fresh out.
The reason why she is in this state was due to the large waves of Grimm. She had to use her Silver-Eyes to wipe out the bulk of the wave. But they were unusually more ferocious than the usual. Hence, her current state.
Let's rewind a bit before how did this happen.
After she was done with one of her many 'special' solo missions from Headmaster Ozpin, fatigue have accumulated on her body after the dealing with an unexpected waves of Grimm by herself. Her supplies have dwindled afterwards. She thought that Grimm's behaviour was odd that they kept on coming for her. She was glad that there weren't any Nevermores among the waves.
Just lots of Beowolves, Berengel, and Ursai.
Her current location was on the Western side of the continent of Anima on which the Kingdom of Mistral is located. The problem was that she was inside the notorious forest known as the 'Black Forest'.
According to locals that this place was an unexplained hotspot of negativity, but the strangest thing is that the Grimm, the very creatures of Destruction, avoided this forest. Normally in this world that is filled with Grimm, that kind of place would have been a safe spot for villages that lived outside the Kingdoms.
But the forest is rumoured to be haunted by a "Black Lady" within the heart of the Black Forest.
This rumoured actually started a century ago, which Ozpin was the Vice-Headmaster of Beacon from his previous reincarnation. At first it alarmed Ozpin's Inner Circle back then, he thought that Salem was the "Black Lady" to instil fear to the Villages near that forest.
But it did not make sense as to why the Grimm are unable to go inside the forest. So they dismissed the theory that it wasn't Salem.
A witness had reported that he saw a Grimm accidentally wandered into the Black Forest. And that's where the strangest thing that had happened. The witness saw the Grimm immediately committed suicide the moment it knew that it had entered the within the territory of the forest.
Ozpin was baffled at the said report. He couldn't believed the creatures that the God of Darkness had created would take such an action. It was inconceivable to the old Immortal that the Grimm feared something other than its creator.
The Inner Circle debated for some time on what actions would they take on the Black Forest. Then they decided to leave it alone, much to Ozpin's reluctance, as they prioritize the bigger picture of defending Remnant from Grimm than some forest.
A few months later, an incident happened from one of the 3 settlements that are near to the Black Forest.
One night, a woman disappeared from her house in the middle of the night. The search party was immediately dispatched to look for the missing woman. A week passed without any signs of the said woman. They searched high and low within the surrounding area of the settlement, san for the Black Forest. The search party considered going into the haunted forest, but the sense of dread radiating from the dark woods was too much for them. Thus they didn't push their plan, even if there was a chance that one of their people was inside. But common sense was telling them that it is impossible for any people, Human or Faunus, to reside within that forest.
On the eight day that woman was missing, she was suddenly found at the edge of the Black Forest by the patrol team. She was laid bare naked on the trail leading to one of the forest entrance. They immediately rushed towards her and covered her body to protect her modesty. The woman was alive which is great news was for them. When they checked her out for other injuries, one thing that stands out on her feature.
Her face was in extreme ecstasy. Her long brown hair was a mess, eyes rolled back on her head, steamy breath coming out of her mouth while the tongue hanging out loosely dripping with saliva, her body is covered with sheen of sweat, and the strong smell of sex wafting around her.
The search party hurriedly brought her back to the settlement and have a doctor to look at her. They all thought that someone must have raped her. But the most worrisome thought is that she was found near the entrance of the rumoured forest. Some dismissed it as coincidence to stir them into chaos to attract Grimm.
But the incident didn't stop there.
Every few months, the same thing happened again and again. One woman after another, both Human and Faunus were victims of the strange phenomena. They were all found a week later in the same spot as the first victim. These strange kidnappings had gotten creepy that it kept going for a century. Around that time frame, there were only 71 victims total. All of them suffered from Hyper sexuality. There were no drugs found in their body system. The Doctor surmised that they all have excessive sex to the point that their minds couldn't process the amount of pleasure coursing through their bodies. Thus, they all became addicted to sex.
The Doctor also pointed out that there are no traces of semen within the vulva. The theory is that the perpetrator could be a woman. But they could not any get proper statements from the victims due to becoming intoxicated to pleasure. It's just that the victims shared common traits: they all have big/huge breasts. The population of women were troubled by this fact. Some of them couldn't just move anywhere else when the Grimm are lurking around.
The Mayors of the 3 settlements could only come up with one answer for this incident.
It's was none other than the "Black Lady" of the Black Forest.
The Mistral authorities labelled their claim as a joke. Which angered the Chiefs as their people were the victims here. And since then, it has become an unsolved mystery in the Kingdom of Mistral.
As the former leader of Team STRQ took a rest for a bit while mulling the information that she learned beforehand. She also wondered if this rumoured "Black Lady" was real. Now that she is inside this dark forest, it felt unsettling to be here. It's like every shade and shadows of the trees felt alive. Eerie gazes behind the woods. No wonder this place is filled with negativity.
She may have entered the belly of the beast.
While Summer kept thinking of these facts, her instincts kicked in on her tired body. She immediately dodged the rain of bullets coming from the dark woods. She hissed in pained as her fatigue hasn't recovered as well as her Aura. But she still put up a stance to show that she would not go down easily.
As she prepared to counter the next attack; she felt another presence behind her. As she was about to turn around, but due to her tired body, her reactions dipped too low right now. She could only get a glimpse that it was a punch that was going to hit her from behind. She has no choice but tank the hit with her leftover Aura to minimize the damage to stay conscious. She braced for the impact from her behind and it was painful but her Aura managed to reduce to damage.
She rolled on the ground after the attack. She quickly tried to get back up albeit too slow. Her silver eyes finally saw the two figures coming out from the woods. A hulking giant of a man with green coat over a black sleeves shirt and a large belt on his black pants.
The second person was not someone that Summer never wanted to deal with. A Psycho. It's all written all over on his face. The man has brown coat on his person and armed with which seems to be a dual wrist blades on his forearms from what Silver-eyed warrior can make out of. She also deduced they are also served as the crazed man's firearms.
A maniacal giggle echoed to her ears. "Hehehe…We finally managed to lure her here." The ponytailed man pressed both of his fingers together while tapping them one another in a rhythm.
"But it took a while to gather those Grimm because of this strange forest." A gruff voice coming from the towering man. Both fists are clenched tight. "Without her forcing them to her obedience, they would've killed themselves the moment they entered this place."
Summer, while having trouble holding her stance, reacted to the word 'her'. 'This means that they were sent by the same woman that Ozpin warned me about years ago after he revealed truth of my eyes.' The white rose took deep breathes to calm her nerves and regain as much strength she can.
'Salem!'
"As expected of the Silver-Eyed Warrior, " The psycho giggled in glee. "to be able to take down with this much Grimm alone."
"Tyrian," The giant spoke to him. "We have no time play by your games right now. I suggest we finish our task as quickly as possible."
Summer's ears perked at the name of the man in brown coat. 'Tyrian!? Wasn't he that Faunus serial killer that Atlas captured before a wave of Grimm attack the convoy he was in and disappeared years ago?' She mentally thought. 'If I remember correctly he's a Scorpion Faunus.'
Tyrian raised a brow on the giants' direction. "Why the rush, Hazel? It's not like she has enough gas to run away from us. Isn't that why we lure her to this forest?"
'Hazel? His name seemed familiar but I can't recall where.'
"Normally, yes, but if you haven't noticed the atmosphere of the Black Forest has changed since we entered here." The giant's eyes scanned the area around them.
Tyrian blinked in surprised. "Hazel, don't tell me that you believed that nonsense about this place." His tone was laced with a hint of anger. "There is only one Goddess that walks this land! Not a cheap knockoff!"
"Tyrian!" Hazel's voice deepened. "Look. Around. Us."
The serial killer finally noticed the surroundings. Not a single noise could be heard for miles away. Even for him, the black woods made him feel….unnerved.
Summer had also picked up the strange sensation around her. The forest has gone quiet. Eerily quiet. No sounds of animals or insects can be heard within the shadow forest. The wind had stopped blowing against the leaves. Everything had gone completely still.
'What going on here?' She wanted to look behind her but that would only leave her back exposed to her assailants. Especially not on her weakened state. At best she can fight for 5 minutes before her body breaks down from exhaustion.
And then suddenly, an unimaginable force pressed down upon them.
Her spine shuddered with bottomless dread creeping up on her.
Summer's white teeth chattered uncontrollably. 'Wh…wha…what was…that…?' She wanted to hug herself to stop trembling but she can't break her fighting stance right now. It took all of her remaining will power to keep her hands on Solstice.
She wasn't the only one that felt it. The pressure also washed over her assailants as well.
The two of Salem's agents shivered violently in place. Even for the hardened killers, the amount of dread that seeped into their bones was nothing they have ever felt in their entire lives. Salem did put the fear into them. But the stark difference of this dread and hers was between the land and sky. They also felt suffocated just being around the forest. They struggled just to keep on standing.
While Summer was having another set of problem. She was close to getting fainted herself.
Her body was already at the peak of exhaustion just before this. Now the intense dread had heightened her emotional distress. If this keeps up, she will faint in front of her attackers. The mother of two girls was trying her best to steel her resolve to come home to Patch.
'I…will…co…me…home…to…my dau..ghter…s!' She mentally reminds herself the reason she is still clinging to life right now. Even if her body was quaking from this awful dread.
The terrible pressure kept on for a few moments before it was suddenly gone. As if it never happened. But for the people who felt it, it was a breath of fresh air for them. However, it still spooked them from their very being.
Summer stabbed Solstice on the ground as a crutch to hold up her tired body. Whatever stamina and strength she has recovered before has all gone down the drain. Fortunately, she is still conscious for what is worth. But for how long is something she doesn't know. What's more, that tremendous and terrible dread was the worst thing she has ever felt in her entire life on Remnant.
The agents of the Witch were both down to their knees with heavy breaths. The bearded giant's face was covered with heavy sweat dripping from his forehead to his nose. His large hands are still clenched tightly. The huge body frame slightly vibrating as his nerves haven't quelled within him. The scorpion faunus' eyes were like a pin needles while his entire face was also covered in cold sweat. He was trying to calm himself to regain control his shivering body.
The faithful servant of the Witch remembered why he was here. To complete the task given to him by her grace! To kill the Silver-Eyed Warrior! He mentally psyched himself up. Failure would leave a stain to his Goddess' image. He would not have that!
Within the body of the crazed killer, he channeled his strength into his lungs to let out a guttural scream to show his undying devotion to Lady Salem's order.
"RAAAAAAHHHHHH!" The scream from the madman startled Summer.
"Hazel," The scorpion follower somehow shook off the dread coating his being. "get up already, you big oaf!" He unfurled his bladed weapons in the form of a Scorpion pincers.
"RARGGHHH" The green giant roared with distorted voice and stands up. "You don't have to tell me that!" Hazel eyes glowing in golden bright color. He activated is Semblance. Muscles bulging in size. His thick log-like arms, with glowing veins, were stabbed with 4 raw Dust Crystals. 2 Fire & Lighting Dust crystals on each arm.
The two agents slowly walked towards the weakened Huntress to kill her.
Summer was, normally, a woman who wouldn't curse like Qrow or Raven. Especially not in the presence front of her 2 girls. But the situation that she is in right now calls for it.
"Oh, Fuck." She muttered weakly.
Not liking their renewed vigor. The silver-eyed Huntress can't muster any strength in her body. Heck, she can barely lift Solstice being stabbed on the ground anymore. She wasn't sure if she has any time left to come up of a last minute plan against her odds right now.
But suddenly their tracks were come to a halt. Which Summer didn't missed it. 'Why are they stopping now?' She tried to take a look at them. And to her surprise, they were completely still in place. On the other hand, their faces were telling a different reaction.
Shock and fear etched on their faces.
'From the looks of their eyes, it seems there is something…' Summer realized. She slowly looked over her shoulders. 'behind…' Her pale face has gotten even paler. 'me…?' Her silver eyes were about to pop out of their sockets as the most unbelievable thing was floating in front of her.
It was a very large, intangible silhouette of a woman with very long hair. There were no eyes on the woman's face. The only thing that looks disturbing was its freakish, wide spine-chilling smile.
The one who appeared in front of them was none other than the entity that haunted the nearby settlements, the one that kidnapped women –Human or Faunus- for over a century, and most likely the source of the mystery behind the infamous Black Forest.
The Black Lady of the Forest!
Summer couldn't believed that it was real. This wasn't Salem at all! It was completely a different existence! She once thought that this might have been an Apathy. But it wasn't. She can't make heads or tails of this thing.
The other two clammed up on the site of the strange shadow entity. They couldn't move on their spot as they do not know how to approach this bizarre encounter.
In a normal situation, people would start running from something they cannot understand.
"You…you…" Tyrian, the ever devoted servant of Salem, point his shaking finger towards the mockery of his Goddess. "How dare you! How dare you insult her divine presence, you fake!" His voice filled with anger.
And of course, there are some people who are exception to that. The Scorpion servant was an overzealous fellow. Too much, even within Salem's faction sees him so.
"Tyrian, you blubbering fool!" Hazel distorted voice berated his partner. "You are going to get us killed!"
"I will not stand for this!" The Faunus yelled like a madman that had seen the most blasphemous existence. "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE QUEEN ON THIS LAND," He stomped his boot on the ground while still pointing his weapon at it. "AND IT'S NOT YOU!" He exclaimed with great fervor in his voice.
After the Faunus finished his piece, The Black Lady stayed still for a moment until she turned her head in a disturbing position. Its head tilt in a right angle; like an Owl. Now it's even more dreadful to look at with its creepy smile.
"Hehehe...Hehehe…Hehehe…" The large shadowy figure started laughing slowly. As if the killer's bravado was nothing but a bad comedy. The slow, mocking laughter kept on going as it now echoes throughout the entire forest.
Its sounds like there were multiple women laughing around the dark woods around them.
"Hehe…Hehehe…Hehe…Hehehe…Hehe…Hehehe…" The laughing sounds much more sinister as it goes on.
Summer wanted to cover her ears as she was feeling anxious from the ominous cackle. Not only that, the laughter was getting louder and louder in every second.
Tyrian couldn't stand this any longer as he tried to talk again. In a blink of an eye, several shadowy tendrils entwined around the killer's body, especially his mouth. Try as he may, Tyrian's struggle is naught but useless
"Urasai Na./ Shut Up." A displeased female voice came from the creepy smiling shadow.
The 3 adults were stunned beyond their imaginations. Because the unthinkable thing just happened. And that the Black Lady just spoke. More importantly, it was a language that they do not understand nor heard of in Remnant.
"Taoru no yō ni kawakashitai dake, Ragudōru no yō ni anata o tatakimasu, Soshite, tsuma yōji no yō ni sebone o kowashimasu."/ As much as I want to wring you dry like towel, smack you around like a ragdoll, and break your spine like a toothpick."
The Black Lady continues to speak in a foreign language while making hand gestures of twisting something on her ghostly hands, the sound of smacking her hands together, and lastly she motioned her hands like she was going to break an item in half.
Which the message was clear to the living people, despite not understanding any words she said.
"Shikashi, sono yorokobi wa hoka no dareka no monodesu/ But, that pleasure belongs to someone else."
After she finished her foreign speech, something came out within the large shadow's body.
Everyone, while Tyrian was still tied up in place, was surprised at the appearance of another shadow.
A humanoid shaped shadow emerged from the Black Lady. It stood as high as a teenager, albeit it was taller than the usual height. The shadow started to shape up into a woman's curves. Then the 'skin' of the shadow begins to shed off, revealing what's underneath it.
"Watashi wa kanojo to no keiyaku no owari o hatasu tame ni koko ni iru dakedesu/ I am only here to fulfil on my end of the deal with her."
Before the three of them was a tall yet slim female teenager, perky DD-Cup breasts, fair-skinned, with black hip-length hair with red tips. A bit of her dark hair covered both of her eyes. She was sporting a black shirt with short red & white striped sleeves, accompanied by a pair of jeans with a wide black belt. Her emblem, which it shares a similarity with Summer but a different color, was a bloody red Rose with a black skull at the center. She also wears a pair of thick black combat boots with red laces, red trims on the top and red soles.
Her face, on the other hand, was obscured by a shade of darkness on it.
Summer had a sense of familiarity of this teenager. In fact, her hair and emblem were the same as hers. 'Was she a relative from my side of the family? But that can't be! If they were Silver-Eyed Warriors like me, then they should have been dead before I was even aware of it? I can't be sure until I see her 'eyes'.' She mentally thought of some things that may or may not make sense to her.
As the Faunus was still restrained, the hulking giant Hazel didn't dare to make a move in front of the strange ghost-like entity. Now that thing called in another of its kind. He wasn't sure if this supposed teenager was flesh and blood or a shadow that just looked like human. He hoped that Salem has an explanation for this being in front of him.
Not knowing that all of them were being stared by the tall teenage girl with her eyes behind her hair. She did make a quick look on the woman in white cloak, asserting if anything was wrong with her. Then she changed her direction of her eyes towards to the hostile men.
A quick silence hovered over the scene before the Black Lady spoke again.
"Sate, watashi ga saru toki ga kita to omoimasu./ Well, I guess it's time for me to leave." The large ghost was stretching her arms upwards.
Its actions confused the three of them. I mean, does something like 'her' even need to stretch?
"Watashi wa zen seiki ni watatte kanari no tanoshimi o motte imashita./ I had my fair share of fun over the last century." The Black Lady glanced with her non-existent eyes towards the 'little girl' that she found at the last minute. 'I've got to 'eat' the greatest meal since I got here in Remnant.' She smirked internally. If she had a face that everyone can see her reaction right now, it's nothing but downright pure evil. 'I truly must give my thanks to Summer Rose, from the bottom of my heart, for leading me to her.' She licked her lips as she ruminated that taste from the 'little girl'. 'I also had fulfilled my long time dream to sleep with animal girls; Bunny girl, Cow girl, Cat girl, Dog girl and other bunch!' The Lady was giggling internally like a child that has gotten her favorite food.
A voice snapped the Black Lady's mind back to reality.
"Arigato, Onesan./ Thank you, lady." The teenager speaks for the first time, which shocked the others, but she also used the same strange language as the Black Lady. The tone of the girl has tinge of sadness.
"Aw, Sono yoni shinaide kudasai./ Aw, don't be like that." The Black Lady placed her black shadow hands on the teenager's shoulder behind her and leaned her head near her right ear. "Kekkyoku, Don'na jōkyō demo itsumo egao de./ After all, no matter the situation always wear a smile." The Black Lady smiled widely with her creepy grin once again.
The entity was not smiling alone; the teenage girl, raised her face slightly, was giving off the same wide, malevolent smile.
The only people in the Black Forest flinched at the sight in front of them. Nothing gets creepier than two beings sporting the same evil smiles. Their combined malice was quite visible to them.
'Kono sekai o hanarete chiyo to saikai suru toki ga kita!/ It's time for me to leave this world and reunite with Chiyo-chan!' She mentally thought as she prepared to go.
The Black Lady floated upwards before the large humanoid shadow transforms into a gigantic Black Bat.
"Mataatode./See you later," As the now giant bat flapped its huge dark wingspan, and flew towards the dark skies where the broken moon lies. "Chisana bara./ Little Rose."
The dark entity leaves behind the world of Remnant while her malicious laughter echoed throughout the world for them to hear.
"Hahahahahaha!..." Letting them know that she was here.
Beacon Academy, Vale
The man with silver hair was looking out on his window of his office with a mug of coffee on his right hand. His trusted Vice-Headmistress, Glynda Goodwitch, was doing a finishing touch of tonight's workload. Not before she heard a broken glass shattered on the floor.
"Ozpin, what's…" Before she could finish that sentence, a wicked laughter was heard beyond the dark skies of Remnant. The level of dread that washed over her was nothing she had ever felt before. In fact, it was the most sinister feeling that she was shaking, an experienced Huntress, like a newborn baby. Words failed to go out of her lungs as she tried to regain herself.
Ozpin, on the other hand, was shocked with great fear on his face.
"That pressure…" He looked up to the night sky. "Was that the God of Darkness…?" He muttered weakly. "But why…?"
No one can answer that simple question for the Immortal wizard.
Grimmlands
Salem, the Queen of Grimm, was having a bad mood after the wave of malice in the form of laughter reached her dark castle. Not only that, it seems that 'laughter' made all the Grimm in Remnant to froze in fear. Judging from the strength of that wave, it would take some time for the Grimm to regain their senses.
"Those blasted Brothers; especially the God of Darkness!" She seethed in anger when it comes the ones who cursed her. She clenched her pale hands so hard that her black nails dug deep into it. But she did not pay attention to it.
"But more importantly," She walked back and forth in front of her throne. "what is the meaning o f the God of Darkness' appearance?" The witch made a frowned face while in a thinking pose.
A thought came into her mind. The one that might makes some sense. It was that 'rumor'.
"Did the God of Darkness come here just to mock me with that "Black Lady" drivel from a century ago!?"
Now that really ticked off the immortal witch even more.
Back to the Black Forest
'Oh, and one more thing. Enjoy my farewell "gifts" for you.'
The teenage girl received a last message from the Lady through her mind. She smirked playfully at the thought of it.
After the Black Lady left the Black Forest, Tyrant's restraints were gone but he remained still, alongside Hazel, distant from their target. The Scorpion gave Hazel a glance as if they were communicating through their eyes as to what they will do next. The situation they're in right now had pretty much destroyed their plans to eliminate Summer Rose.
But before they can come up with new plans, the girl in black spoke once again.
"A primitive brute and an animal reject."
The pair could only glare menacingly at the direction of the teenage girl. They were quite surprised that she could now speak their language, though. It was truly unexpected.
The said girl now walked slowly and stopped at Summer's side. The exhausted Huntress wanted to ask the girl a few things but she was getting close to pass out from everything that happened tonight. Her whole body was already past its limits. Every part of her felt like lead.
"And who on Remant are you, monster?" Tyrant asked menacingly.
The girl was amused by the title which earned a slight chuckle.
"What's the use of answering that question when I only see dead men walking?"
The mysterious teenager tilts her neck like an owl, the same manner as the Black Lady. Seeing it the flesh was seriously unsettling to look at. The neck of a Human or Faunus shouldn't move like that. But another thing that caught all of their eyes was the ominously glowing left eye that was covered by her hair.
More specifically, it was the color of Silver; the people that possessed the power of the God of Light.
The Silver Eyed Warrior.
"Another Silver Eyed Warrior!?" The giant was tensely baffled at the revelation. Especially that this girl was spawned by that Black Lady.
"I am not your Silver-Eyed whatever." Her pale hands emitting dark-red aura. "I am just your Executioner!" In the blink of an eye, she swings her arms in upward cross motion as it sends out an X Shaped projectile.
'It's too fast!' Tyrian was alarmed as the attack was few centimetres away from hitting his face.
As they thought that their imminent demise was at hand, but the X shaped attack went past by between them, albeit leaving a large slash wound on their cheeks. Their Aura weren't able to protect them due to its unexpected speed.
Their eyes went wide in confusion of what just happened.
"For the record, that wasn't meant for you two." A moment later, a dying shriek was heard from the distance of the forest. "But for the "eye" that was watching us from afar."
The Giant realized. 'The Grimm Seer!? But how did she knew where it was?'
Little did they know that the Seer was quaking in fear due to the Black Lady's departing laughter. Since then Salem wasn't able to see what transpired inside the forest. The Seer was already reluctant to go near to the forest due to its heavy influence. Now it became a floating target that was struck down by a Master Archer.
Before they could process what just happened, a dreadful sensation sent Hazel's spine to shiver in fear. As he came back to his senses, the black girl was already sliding below him with black petals trailed behind her flowing hair as she delivers an uppercut. Hazel can only rely on his Semblance & durability to tank the incoming blow. In what little time he has left, he tensed his entire body.
Then came the impact that he wasn't prepared for.
*CRASH*
The fist connected directly to his bearded chin wasn't like anything he had taken before. The obscene strength behind her punch was surreal. In fact, his Aura was shattered from the first blow. The green giant's eyes were all white as he lost consciousness. His log-like neck was about to be snapped in half from the force of it. Even with his numbed senses can't prevent his skull forming cracks all over it. His brain was battered real hard, without his Semblance, that it was sending extreme signals of pain throughout the body. And his big frame was lifted up on the ground.
But that very moment, she delivered her next strike swiftly. She immediately impaled her right arm into Hazel's thick body. Specifically, the right side of the body. Where she surgically struck the lower rib cage, the thick part of the liver, the kidney behind it and finally her bloody forearm bursting out behind it.
Summer's face went aghast at the scene of brutality that the girl had displayed in matter of seconds. What's more, she was sure that this girl has a similar Semblance with hers. But her speed was much faster than Summer. She couldn't also imagine the strength of someone her age. A single punch just shattered an adult's Aura with the greatest of ease.
The black girl immediately pulled out her hand from the giant's body. With a loud thud, Hazel's huge frame fell flat, face-first, on the ground. Blood oozed out of the body. She flicked her red coated right arm to get off the blood on it. Without looking at Tyrian's direction, the girl speaks with a bored tone.
"So, Reject, are you coming or not?"
Tyrian flared in anger for the last time at the words of the girl spoke out from her mouth. He immediately lunged not in the direction of the mysterious girl, but to Summer instead. He still remembered his mission despite the strange situation. Not only was the target only a few steps away from him. And so he prioritize his task Salem bestowed upon him.
To eliminate the Silver-Eyed Warrior!
"HIIIYYYAAA!" Both of his wrist blades bore at its intended target as he gets closer!
Summer could only stand in struggle to balance herself from her near exhausted state. She cursed herself for being helpless right now. As the blades were about to reached her, a loud finger snap was heard. Tyrian was shocked to see that Summer was not in front of him anymore but it was the tall girl that switched places with her.
'No matter! I will kill her then the target!.' The Scorpion continued his attack despite the sudden switch.
"Die! Monster!" He stretched his pincer-wrist blades intended to stab her fatally!
The unthinkable happened. An audible crack heard in the wind.
Tyrian only felt was his bones snapped, specifically the wrists, and his Aura was shattered. Just like Hazel on the first blow. The only thing the girl did was using both elbows to block the attack. She aimed her elbows perfectly at the wrists part of the metal Vambraces. The counter attack made a dent on the Vambraces, which internally broke his wrists bones.
Before Tyrian could process the pain of his broken bones, X-ray shot shows two thumbs jabbed deeply at the specific part of his jaw and pulled it out at once. The Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is the one that connects the jawbone to the skull. That attack just now dislocated it, making its jaw hanging loose. The sides of his face, where the bloody holes, are blood seeping out of it. His upper body lurched forward unsteadily.
That short window frame was enough for the girl to begin her next strike.
She immediately moved at the lunatic's right side and jumped high enough to deliver a nasty left elbow behind the neck. And, bam, a strong sound of the blow reverberated. Another X-ray shot showed how his neck almost snapped into two as the neck bones being stretched to its limits. With swift steps, she turned in front of his disoriented face, eyes bulging, and tongue spreading out of his mouth.
She dealt a sharp elbow (right) swipe to Tyrian's face but instead using the tip of it. And the result was…
"GYYYAAAHHH!"
The scream echoed throughout the forest as his face was cut in the middle starting from the chin, tongue, nose and the forehead. Due to his jaw was loose; the blow was strong enough knock off some of his teeth. The bloodshot eyes almost seemed to pop out of its upper body bend backwards from the attack.
And doesn't stop there; the raven-haired girl was going to give one more strike to end it. Just like the rest of her vicious attacks, she immediately delivered a single punch (right) to the mutilated face of the agent of Salem.
"SMASH!"
The mysterious girl punched and caved in the face of the Faunus as she slammed him hard to the earth. Large cracks stem out on the ground. The body sprayed limply on the dirt. The girl pulled out her bloodied fist from his face.
She then shoved her other hand to her own cleavage and pulled out a clean cloth. Like a Magic performer pulling out a rabbit from his hat. She begins to wipe the blood off her forearm.
Summer, on the other hand, exhausted but looked at the girl with deadpanned look. Not understanding the logic behind her 'breast pocket'. She's too tired to think about it right now.
After a quick clean-up, she tossed away the bloodied cloth. Without looking at the deadpanned Summer, the girl walked towards back to Hazel's battered body. Leaving the "stain" she bashed down without a care. As if it's nothing important to her. The Huntress of Beacon was worried about what the child is going to do next. She hesitated a bit before she asked her mysterious savior.
"Wait!" The teenager stopped at her tracks before she looked over her shoulder with her left eye to Summer's direction. "What are you going to them? You're already 'beaten' them to death as it is!" The adult was trying to persuade her to spare them so that they can be interrogated for information about Salem.
But, alas, the mysterious girl gave an immediate reply.
"That mindset would get you killed, Summer." She continued walking.
The Silver-Eyed Huntress was surprised that she knew her name.
Before she could reply, a strange thing happened. A tar-like substance erupted beneath the bloody bodies of the assailants. It tried to envelope the two of them to drag them back from wherever it came from. With insane reaction, the teenager pulled something from her breast again, and this time it was an ovoid shaped black Grenade labelled with a capital letter 'B.C.'. She quickly threw the grenade towards the tar-like pool and sticks to Hazel's jacket before both bodies submerged completely by the black pool. And they were gone completely from the forest, except their pools of blood being left behind.
The mysterious teenager pondered a bit about the scene before saying. "Hmm…So Magic is real, huh." She wasn't a bit surprised by this fact.
Summer went stiffed for a while after hearing the word "magic".
"Th-that was magic?" She tries to play dumb to conceal the secrets of Remnant. "But they're not real! It must've been some kind of Semblance!" She hoped that stirred off the topic about Magic.
The teenager chuckled heartily at the Huntress' attempt to lie on someone who 'knew' about Magic.
"Nope~~. I can tell that was Magic; Black Magic in fact."
Summer still wanted to deny her claims but anymore than this is just making herself look like a clown at this point. But she did not know that Magic can be classified that way. Did Ozpin forget to mention this fact?
"Anyways, now that everything here is done, it's time to go home to Patch." She walked towards Summer slowly.
The Huntress was alarmed that somehow her "kin" knew where she lived. The girl noticed Summer's expression and asked. "Now that's not nice, Summer. Don't you recognize me?" She spread her arms wide
"What do you mean I recognized you?" She was bewildered by this. "This is the first time we have met!"
"Why don't you take a closer look?" Still walking slowly.
Now that she think about it, she did not have a good look at her because of everything has happened while she was worried that this might be her last time to see her Family. As the girl got closer with each step, clearly she was quite tall for a teenager. Summer was only 5'7 feet tall woman while this girl is easily 6 feet.
As Summer was still lost to her musings, a shadow loomed over her petite frame.
The mysterious girl stands closely in front of her. She craned her neck at the height difference between them. When she finally got a good look at her 'savior', the adult Huntress' face morphed into fear and great confusion. It's a face that showed utter disbelief that she shakily stepped backwards. She finally let go of her dull sword to the ground. Her breathing started to get erratic. Her exhausted body staggered. Hands were shaking like leaves.
The cold wind blew behind Summer as her tattered cloak flap heavily. The same wind blew through the face of the black haired girl with red tips. Finally the hair that covered her eyes was no longer obstructing Summer's view, which it made her confusion even worst.
"I-it can't be…" She muttered hoarsely. "This can't be true…" The denial was getting to her head.
"What's not true, Summer?" The long-haired girl was playing along with it.
Why Summer was denying any of this because the girl in front of her was someone she really knew personally.
It was someone that she cared for dearly along with her Husband, Yang and Qrow.
It was someone that her purity and innocence shines the brightest of the household.
Her little rose.
She numbly asked. "Ru…by…?" Hoping that she was not who she is.
"In the flesh, Summer!" Ruby bowed in introduction and was smiling from ear to ear. Not denying that was indeed Ruby Rose, the daughter of Taiyang & Summer. Half sister of Yang.
Hearing this answer coming from her mouth, Summer couldn't take anymore as she faints on the spot she was standing. The last thing she saw before darkness crept on her vision was the eyes of her youngest daughter.
She knew that baby girl inherited her Silver eyes from her but there was a startling change. Instead, Ruby's right eye was pitch-black like the abyss; while her left eye was dull Silver.
Ruby walked towards her unconscious mom. She whispered in a gentle voice in difference from her bored tone a while ago.
"Don't worry; we'll be home real soon, Mom."
Ruby lifted her fainted Mother in a bridal carry. Despite Summer being an adult, it was no problem for the girl at all. A huge snake-like shadow was slowly forming from the shades of the Black Forest. The mysterious shadow slowly enveloped the two and disappeared without a trace.
Summer might have been hearing things from all the stress she was having but, oddly, she heard the same gentle voice that she knew of her lively little rose.
