Ghost got the coordinates from Fynch before they got too far from the cave. "The temple to Oryx appears to be…in her palace." Before they got too far from the cliffside, Arizona turned back, and gave one last wave before disappearing behind the marble-like structure. "According to these coordinates, the opening should be in the Florescent Canal."

The canal was as hauntingly beautiful as she remembered. As they got closer to the entrance, Fynch started talking: "The temple dedicated to Oryx is guarded by one of Savathun's toughest warriors. He's definitely guarding something. Something you can use like you used Sagira's shell. But the only way in is through some old canals, which means we need a boat. Leave that part to me."

The huge palace-like structure reflected the red of the flowers that littered the grounds, and the entrance was well guarded by a single Titan Knight, and several Acolytes. Arizona took the strapped sniper rifle off her back. "Looks like we're gonna have ourselves a fight."

"Let me try to get close enough before you fire that." Fae held a few smoke bombs.

Argonaut nodded, "I'll take the left, you take the right?"

Fae nodded, and threw down the smoke bomb. When the smoke past Fae was gone and Argonaut was running toward the left side. Arizona took aim at an Acolyte. "Now!" She heard Fae through Ghost, and she fired on the Acolyte closes to the Titan Knight. She was quick to shift her aim to another Acolyte on his other side. Everything seemed to be going well, a little too well.

Fae appeared behind the Titan Knight, using spectral blades to slice into his back and disappear again. It left Argonaut and Arizona to clear whatever they could until the Titan's ghost was crushed.

Once the door was opened, Arizona strapped the rifle to her back and followed the two inside. Ghost appeared at her shoulder as she approached the Titan Knight. "Hey, hey, hey, that was our guy! The one guarding the temple! What's he doing away from his post?"

Argonaut and Fae stopped at the doorway.

"You don't think…someone took over his post, do you, Fynch?"

"I doubt it. Now could be our chance."

Arizona ran up the steps, abandoning the bodies.

The hallways were long, and littered with red vines that crawled on the ground and partway up the marble white pillars. "Ghost, Fynch, could one of you guys fill me in on something?"

"What is it?" Ghost's blue eye looked up at her thoughtfully.

"What's Savathun's connection to this Osiris? I wasn't around when this happened, right? I was resurrected afterwards. So…what does Osiris have to do with Savathun stealing the Light?"

Ghost's panels whirled thoughtfully, but he hesitated in answering at first, then he said, "Well, Osiris was following a lead on something and got trapped by Xivu Arath. That's how Sagira died. Savathun possessed Osiris' body and impersonated him. Osiris was Ikora's mentor, so they have a…close bond."

"So, Savathun was impersonating Osiris," Fynch's voice chimed in, "Ikora's friend, and mentor…so…maybe Ikora slipped up. Said something that helped Ssavathun get at the Light."

"Whatever happened between them, this isn't Ikora's fault!" Ghost snapped.

"Sure, sure, I'm just saying. Ikora is a spy master, right? And Osiris is her friend. Yeah, you'd think she would've noticed…"

Fae turned on her heels, stopping everyone from a room where the walls appeared to glow a green color, "Savathun is the Hive god of cunning. She tricked us all, including Osiris's closest allies."

"Even you were tricked, Fynch, and every other Hive Ghost. We're not going to let Ikora take this on herself," Ghost added.

They all jumped off from a balcony onto a platform that led to a huge…well…it didn't look like any boat Arizona had ever seen. "That's your ride," Fynch said. "Just hop on and I'll handle the rest."

The three of them hopped over the gap onto the huge hive ship-looking boat. "Ugh, these weird Hive ocntrols. I mean, how does this…" the boat lurched forward, nearly sending Arizona forward onto her face. "Ah, there it is! Here we go, boat's movin!"

The marble walls and ceiling changed color with each arch they passed. Soon, however, they stopped at an arch. "Fynch, why did we stop?" Fae demanded.

"Uh...I don't know. I didn't expect this. Just a little…hiccup! Heh…"

Argonaut shook his head, looking around. "What's that?" He pointed at a ball of energy.

"Hey, is this boat battery operated, by chance?" Arizona asked.

"Um…it…it could be."

Argonaut and Fae sighed, "Dumb ghost."

"Hey, I like Fynch." Arizona defended.

"Of course you do. Someone has to if we're gonna keep him." Argonaut and Fae jumped to either side of the boat, running to specific points, as if they knew exactly where each of the batteries were.

"What's that mean? Argonaut! Ugh!" She sat down with a sigh. Soon the boat lurched again and the two Guardians came back on the boat.

"Hey, you did it! Good job. Boat's on the move again!"

"Am I seriously the only one here who likes Fynch?" She stood up, folding her arms.

"Yes," Ghost answered a little too quickly.

Fae waved him away and put a hand on her shoulder, "We just…have some reservations about our new friend, and with good reason. Before I became a Guardian, I worked on the Tangled Shore often, which used to be run by a Fallen Baron called the Spider. He was always too eager to help me out and every time he would want something twice over in return. Argonaut worked with him for a time on behalf of the Guardians as well and it was the same. The Spider isn't the exception to the rule, he's the standard."

"Why can't Fynch be the exception? He's already said he's messed up, he's trying to make it up right now."

"Maybe he is. Time will tell how true his intentions are."

The boat jerked again. "Fynch, We're stuck again!" Ghost sounded annoyed.

Argonaut and Fae jumped off immediately as Hive Acolytes and Thralls jumped on.

"Seriously? But I…I did the thing…it's just this Hive tech. It's so archaic, ugh! Just give me a sec."

The shotgun appeared in Arizona's hands, and she began to shoot one by one. She threw a grenade to kill off the last of them just as the boat started to move again. Soon, the boat exited from the palace, and came across a swamp.

"You said this is a temple to Oryx?" Ghost seemed almost in disbelief.

"Yeah, that's right. Savathun's brother. The Taken King himself." One by one they jumped off the boat, landing on the ground pretty hard. Argonaut's landing was much less graceful as he rolled down a hill. Arizona tried to hide her face as she giggled. "Those two killed each other about a million times over, but she dedicated a temple to him. Eh, it's funny how that works."

Fae and Argonaut ran ahead, but the atmosphere weighed Arizona down. It felt like she was running in quicksand. "Now be careful here. Something happened to this place. It's overgrown with Darkness."

"I can sense some Light here, though. I just can't see it. Maybe there's a safe path through." Ghost said.

The swamp was overrun with Scorn. Arizona did her best to keep up, but the weight of the Darkness surrounded her being and whispered in her ear. Argonaut stopped several times to wait for her, and lead her through pillars that seemed to make her feel much lighter, though the effect was temporary. Fae cleared the area ahead of them.

"How are you two not weighted down by this?"

Argonaut shrugged. "I guess because we already wield Darkness, we're used to this kind of feeling."

Soon they came across a cave, and Arizona felt much lighter, and she could finally keep up. "We're here, Fynch." Ghost informed.

"Be careful. The Knight guarding this place? He's an old rival of Oryx and he's no joke."

"Kind of ironic she has him guarding Oryx's temple then." Arizona said.

The temple looked much like Xivu Arath's temple, complete with its own well that they jumped down one by one, this time with Argonaut going first. The entire room was white with a fountain in the middle, petals or maybe they were leaves littered the water and Ghost disappeared. A white light blinded her, and then something backhanded her, sent her flying into the wall. She fell on her side and tried to inhale air, but her lunge refused it. She coughed violently.

Argonaut set up a shield in front of her. "Are you alright?"

"Sure," she barely choked out, "it's not like I was just bitch slapped, right?"

He helped her to her feet, and the shotgun appeared in her hands. "He's fucking huge!" She yelled, and the Knight turned to them. "My bad." Argonaut started shooting with his fusion rifle.

Thralls and Cursed Thralls started to spill in from every side of the room. Arizona started shooting them. She wasn't sure where Fae was, or if Fae was okay. However, they quickly became overrun.

Arizona could feel in her hands, something electric, and as the Thralls piled onto them, forcing them down under their weight, she could feel a snap of the electricity in her hands, and the pressure became too much for her. She didn't hear herself scream out, but she felt the overwhelming pressure release from her palms, and the Thralls and Curse Thralls were quickly eliminated. It took out so much energy, she thought she was gonna pass out, but Argonaut kept her steady, and her strength soon returned.

She saw Fae appear, and disappear, dancing around the Hive Knight. "I have an idea." Arizona looked at Argonaut.

"Does it involve flaming hammers?" In his hand a flaming hammer appeared.

"Um…sure. Let me recharge, and when I give a signal we'll all release everything we've got. Overwhelm him before he can heal up."

Argonaut nodded.

Arizona took off from the comfort of his shield, shooting at every Thrall and Acolyte she came across, periodically hiding behind pillars to get away from the shooting. She could feel the Light again, overwhelming her slowly.

"Now!" Coming out from the pillar, she charged a void ball in her hands. Argonaut threw his hammers, and Fae, seeming to take the hint, released several shots from the Mobius Quiver to keep the Knight still. Arizona released the void ball, which hurtled and exploaded in a magnificent display.

A ghost appeared, and the three of them moved forward, but it disappeared, leaving behind the body. Arizona stopped, the other two were too slow to see it and ran into each other with great force, nearly tumbling backward onto their butts.

"The ghost got away," Arizona sighed. "I don't know if I'm disappointed or relieved." She folded her arms.

Fae and Argonaut recovered quickly from their run-in.

"There's the tablet." Fae pointed at a statue of a huge white Hive. It was bigger than Savathun, and it felt like it held more evil as well. "You should take the tablet, Arizona."

Arizona nodded and slowly approached the menacing statue. She took the tablet quickly, as if somehow the statue could move.

"The tablet hides a riddle," Savathun's words whispered in her head.

"Fynch, you were right," Argonaut whispered. Ghost came out of hiding, everyone's ghosts came out of hiding.

Arizona turned toward everyone, "You all heard that?"

Fae nodded.

Ghost said, "It looks like we found a piece of the Tablets of Ruin, the Tablets Oryx used to create Taken."

"I was right?" Fynch's voice sounded surprised but he quickly added, "Yeah, I was right! I knew it, I knew the Taken were involved somehow!"

"But Alak-Hul's Ghost got away. It just left the body here."

"Ah, contingency plan. They're learning. Trying to stay a step ahead of you. But you got the tablet. That's the important part. That gets us one step closer to taking down the Witch Queen!"
