(Warning: this story I wrote a while ago so it's not very good and I am only in sixth grade so I understand that I have a really bad grammar and my writing skill is not very good. If you spotted any mistakes please comment, I really appreciate it. I also don't have any problem with slash ships, if you have, please don't read it. Thanks!)
The sun is racing along the strawberry farm all the way to Thaila's pine tree. The son of Death can almost sense Apollo flashing his brightest smile and flirting with women along the way. He sighed, climbing up the hill to see the flashy son of Apollo leaning against the pine tree, wishing he could tell "his man" about his true feelings so easily.
Will Solace is wearing a light blue striped surgeon's shirt, jeans, and flipflops, a fashion statement you surely won't see in any magazines. His light blue eyes gleamed in the sunlight and his blond hair flowed as the gentle summer wind blew by. Nico thought the word "hot" described him very well, both in terms of his parentage and appearance.
"Hey, zombie dude," Will said, with a ridiculous grin on his face. "Miss me?"
"When did you start calling me a zombie, dude?"
"Since I saw you make some of the underworldly zombie thingy appear, now you aren't answering my question."
"I really wish I could make some of those appear, and yes, I missed you as much as I missed the Hades cabin decorations."
Nico almost wishes Cupid would show up and force him to tell Will his feelings for him, like he did to Jason with his feelings for Percy, which is why he is glad it is over. He couldn't believe how a seven-word sentence could be so hard to say, or maybe, as Frank's grandmother might say, it was supposed to be unlucky.
Will might have sensed his tension because he asked, "Got something in your mind to tell me, death boy?"
"Don't call me Death Boy, and I, um, like you."
"Well, that common knowledge, you know, I am possibly the world's most likable person."
First of all, you are not the world's most likable person, and second of all, Nico bit his lips. For the first time in several months, the son of Hades felt ashamed. He felt his heart bouncing against him and finally, after a long time of hesitation, he finally couldn't hold it anymore and whispered "I love you" only loud enough for the two of them to hear.
Almost as soon as he says it, he regrets it. He can read the stunt on Will Solace's face. Finally, a grin showed up on Will's face. He said, "So, does that make me your boyfriend?"
"I won't go as far as that, but okay."
Then, faster than Nico could react, Will kissed him. Just a small nick on his cheek, but Nico felt like he was being roasted from the inside before being thrown into a bathtub full of lava. The warmest of the kisses bombarded him. His many experiences of the cold, creepy underworld didn't make his first kiss easier.
When Nico finally comes back to his senses, a part of his brain is going like, "Wait, what just happened?" The rest of the time, his brain was jumping up and down, filled with excitement. For the son of Hades, love is the thing that he missed the most in his fourteen (or maybe seventy-four) years of life. Being with his father does not get even close to being love, and Nico is glad that his absence of love is over.
Nico smiled at Will, the caring and warm son of Apollo, who looked just like the kind of love he needed. And even so, a son of the god for the darkest and coldest places of the world, dating the sun god's son, might seem weird. But the two of them just make it work and hit off together. Plus, who said that there couldn't be any exceptions in the world?
