Embry with Leah in his arms and her leg around his waist. He knew he had confessed he had feelings for her and had prepared for her to kick him out of the house. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't find the strength to keep away from her. From the last night they had spent together in California to the time they had sex in the cabin to last night he felt this spark between them. As cheesy as that sounded the universe was propelling him toward him and he could not refuse the will of the universe.

He slowly got up to let her sleep and clear his head. He wasn't leaving the house but he needed to get up for a while just like she needed to sleep plus they were both wolves so he was getting a bit hot. Before he could sleep with her when she was human but now it was two saunas sleeping together. He went downstairs and began making coffee.

"Want to pour me some?" He heard a deep voice making him jump. Harry was in his wheelchair in the kitchen holding out his cup.

"Sorry to scare ya son." Harry howled quietly. Embry poured himself a cup after refilling Harry's. He stood there awkwardly knowing it was obvious he slept with Leah in her room.

"Let's go outside… have a little chat." Harry said handing his cup to Embry as he wheeled himself outside. Embry gulped knowing Harry knew about him and Leah. He could face Sam but Harry was another story.

"Do you remember the first time you tried smoking cigarettes here?" Harry reminisced catching Embry off guard.

"Yeah I was some punk ass back then." Embry chuckled and Harry laughed as well.

"You caught me and I thought I was going to get beat or something. Maybe I thought I'd have to leave? But you looked at me and said 'you are killing yourself.'" Embry remembered.

"And you said that you didn't care if you died." Harry sighed.

"And you said that you would care. And then you smoked one with me saying if I die you die." Embry smiled looking down with moisture building up in his eyes. Harry smiled in response.

"You were the first person to ever really care." Embry choked out holding back the tears. He sat down and Harry wheeled over to him.

"Well I knew you weren't just some punk ass kid back then." Harry grinned clapping Embry on the back.

"Sue had to be convinced." Embry snorted making Harry snicker.

"Oh yeah. I remember that day I came home and told her I got her a new kid." Harry expressed with amusement.

"Well she didn't like all the drugs I was on. Plus being around Seth so young." Embry added.

"Well, that was our deal clean up or get the fuck out. And you kept your word like I knew you would." Harry reminded.

"How did you know I was going to phase? I mean I was a whiter kid from off the reservation." Embry inquired. He had never asked Harry that until now. Harry shifted uncomfortably and looked like he was debating something.

"Harry?" Embry repeated.

"Because I know who your dad is." Harry sighed pulling out a cigarette from the pack Embry left on the porch. Embry's heart pounded.

"You know who my dad is? Why didn't you ever tell me?" Embry asked standing up a bit angry and confused.

"Sit down and I'll tell you." Harry instructed slowly. He didn't need Embry phasing and he waited for a reason all of these years.

"I should have told you long ago. I just didn't want you to go looking for this man because you'd only be disappointed." Harry began.

"What do you mean disappointed?" Embry stuttered upset and confused and hurt.

"I mean he was never going to be there just like he wasn't there for Sam and his mom." Harry answered pausing to let it sink in.

"Wait I am Sam's brother?!" Embry exclaimed as Harry told him to lower his voice.

"Yes. Joshua Uley is your father." Harry clarified.

"Sam is my brother? Fuck." Embry clapped his hand over his mouth trying to absorb everything. His head spun as he had a million questions.

"When Leah and Sam were about three or four is when I found out. I had taken Leah to the doctor in Forks for some reason and as I was leaving I saw your mother going in with you to the doctor. Behind her was Joshua Uley and it was clear they were together. I had a hunch he was your father then based on how he was ordering your mother around. He was cheating on Sam's mom at the time so I didn't think it was my business. Years later you built up a reputation for yourself and I saw Charlie talking to you when I visited him at the jail and you looked just like him at that age. Just paler and the eyes were different." Harry answered.

"How come Sam never realized?" Embry asked figuring if he looked like their dad or even if they were related.

"Oh Anne might have known if she ever saw you. But Anne burnt all his shit when he left it was quite the show. No pictures or mention of that man in Sam's house. Sam grew up without his dad. Plus he looks a shit ton like Anne. You two look nothing alike because you got some white features in you probably." Harry shrugged. Embry was overwhelmed with information. He just stared into space.

"Hey Embry." Harry called out shaking his shoulders as best he could.

"Wait if I am an Uley then I have the same authority as Sam in the pack. I could challenge him." Embry fathomed. He finally had a light at the end of the tunnel. He could leave the pack with the rest of the group. He could leave the pack with Leah.

"You would have to fight your own brother." Harry sighed sadly. He didn't want the boys fighting.

"I don't know if I could do it." Embry sighed looking down.

"You would for her." Harry spoke looking at Embry. Embry's eyes met his and he understood who he was talking about.

"Yeah for her I would." Embry whispered puffing out smoke from a cigarette.

"I know how you feel about her. Hell I know she feels the same for you. Just don't fight Sam unless he won't let my daughter go." Harry pleaded.

"I won't unless." Embry promised.

"You aren't worried about the possibility I could imprint or repeat what Sam did to her?" Embry asked nervously.

"I don't think lightning strikes twice so I have a feeling you won't. Only time could tell. It is her decision to risk her heart like that." Harry answered.

"Embry, my time is limited and I had to tell you all of that about your dad. You deserved to know. However, he had no impact on the man you have become. Neither did your mom. You did that. I am so proud of the man you have become and I have loved you like a son. And I just want you to know you'll be okay after…" Harry choked out before breaking down. Embry had not seen Harry like this ever and felt tears fall down his own face. His heart swelled in his chest and his breathing tightened.

"No one else cared before you. I owe you my life. You have been my dad and you just can't go." Embry coughed out stubbornly wiping away his own tears.

"Listen to me, you will be okay. You will look after them. You will do whatever necessary to make sure Leah is happy and loved. If you love her then go for it. Life is too short for her to spend it alone. She's my baby girl, and I know you would be the fit for her. I can just feel it. Protect her, protect Sue and Seth. Please." Harry pleaded. Embry shook his hand and agreed.

"Also you break her heart and I am still alive, I will fuck you up. If you knock her up I will knock you out from here or from the grave." Harry threatened making Embry choke on his coffee.

"Understood." Embry gulped.

"Good to know we understand each other. You can sleep in her room just keep the volume down for the family's sake too." Harry laughed making Embry turn bright red.
