"Carlisle!" Quill yelled so fast and loud Leah jumped up! Leah jumped up and looked at Quill.
"He's fucking awake! Son of a bitch!" Quill exclaimed as Leah processed what he said. In a flash Carlisle was up and trying to check Embry's vitals but Embry weakly tried pushing him off freaking out.
"Get off me! Get off of me!" Embry actually screamed out in horror making Carlisle back off. Leah stood there in absolute shock he was awake.
"I can't fucking see!" Embry spat out trying to rip the medical tubes off of him. Leah ran over and held him down. The rest of the pack ran upstairs hearing the screaming. Leah held Embry down with her weight as he tried pushing her off of him.
"Embry it's me! It's Lee! You are safe! You are safe!" She kept repeating as tears ran down her face. He slowly loosened his grip on her and sunk into the bed panting.
"I can't see Lee." He choked out trying to keep his eyes open but all he could see was darkness.
"Embry I am right in front of you. Open your eyes." She instructed as he slowly tried regaining his breathing. He slowly managed to open his eyes. But when he did the unexpected happened.
"I still can't see Leah." He cried out but Leah was in shock. She was in shock because once he opened his eyes he became her world. Suddenly it wasn't gravity holding her down to earth it was him. He became light and colors all at once. He was the sun and the moon and everything that kept her alive. Her body radiated heat and felt waves of coolness sweep over her as well. She was in love with him before but now she was his protector. She would never lose him again. She had imprinted on those grey eyes and just sat there starring at those grey eyes.
"Leah?" Quill questioned looking between her and Embry cautiously. She slowly moved to look at him for reassurance and guidance. He looked at Embry and then Leah once more before understanding what just happened.
"Embry… it's Quill. I am going to lift Leah off you so Carlisle can check your eyes. Please for Leah let him." Quill begged earning a sigh from Embry as he nodded. Quill slowly lifted her off of his best friend and moved her to outside the house. She heard Embry call out for her making her cry and cringe.
"I know… try to resist it for now. He needs you but you have to put yourself together for a second." Quill sympathized knowing the strain of having an imprint bond.
"What's happened?" Jake asked running up to the house. He was on patrol before. He looked between Quill and Leah for answers.
"Embry is awake." Quill answered making Jake smile like it was Christmas.
"That's fucking awesome!" Jake exclaimed trying to move past the but he saw their faces which made him stop.
"What else?" Jake questioned halting in his steps.
"He is blind." Leah sobbed out making Jake fall to the ground and hug her into him.
"Fuck." Jake sighed into her hair.
"And…" Leah started to say but the words couldn't come out. Jake held Leah's hand out in front of him and saw how badly she was shaking.
"And?" Jake tried to make her finish.
"Leah just imprinted on Embry. He doesn't know because he couldn't see her reaction." Quill finished for her.
"Holy fucking shit." Jake gasped making Leah growl at him.
"I am confused is this a bad thing?" Seth came out of the house hearing what they said.
"No Seth… it is Leah is overwhelmed thing." Leah bit back at her brother.
"Lee… you have been in love with him for almost a year now." Seth reminded. Leah's heart stopped at that comment. She had almost told him she was in love with him when they were in the basement. He had dtold her multiple times he was in love with her. But it was always the fear of her getting hurt again that held them back… but now that fear went away. She wanted to run to him and be held by him. She wanted to actually tell him how she felt. But she heard him scream out in pain making her start to gag.
"Leah you might want to tell him." Seth said gently rubbing her back as she puked from hearing Embry's screams. Quill held her hand as she winced with every scream.
"Carlisle is checking on his eyes and wounds. Bandages are about to come off which will hurt like a bitch. You should come in Leah. He needs you." Paul spoke opening the door.
"No one tell him." Leah coughed up the last of her throw up.
"Leah you have to tell him. He deserves to know." Jake argued.
"I will tell him. Just right now he has to focus on healing. He freaked out earlier because Carlisle entered the room." Leah answered.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Quill asked.
"He can't see and felt extremely cold hands on him. He is smart enough to realize it was a vampire. His body is broken and he has PTSD from being tortured. Embry is alive but is not the same. We need to all let him heal before I tell him what just happened. He needs to feel a sense of control for a while." Leah asserted. Everyone look uncomfortable to agree but she was the imprint and it was her call.
"Fine… under absolutely no circumstance does anyone and I mean humans included tell him. Only Leah can." Jake alpha commanded helping her stand up.
"You think you're strong enough to go in?" Paul asked wincing as Embry screamed from inside. Leah had tears pouring down her cheeks.
"No but he needs me." She whispered wiping away her tears.
"Welcome to the imprint club." Seth smiled weakly. Leah hugged him into her before going upstairs. She started to cry again when she saw Embry fall asleep from a sedative Carlisle gave him.
