I Heard It Through the Grapevine

Danny knows Amity's streets well.
One morning at the breakfast table, Jack was polishing his prized ghost hunting equipment.
"You seem pretty excited today, Dad," said Danny.
"You got that straight, Danny-boy!" said Jack, "This weekend's the annual ghost hunter's convention and your's truly has an opening!"
"I take it you're leaving us in charge of the house while you're gone?" said Jazz, her face buried in her book.
"E-yup!"
"Is it at the St. Morris Center on the other side of town again?" Danny asked, surprisingly concerned.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Listen, don't take the Martin Chesapeake Expressway. The traffic is tied up bumper-to-bumper from here to Leonardo."
"Oof. What do we do?"
"Take the parkway; It's practically empty at this time of day. Exit before the bridge, then go up the road next to the one on the waterfront–It'll save you a few traffic lights, but there's a 25 speed limit."
"How do you know all this stuff, Danny?" asked Jack, "Early morning ghost patrols?"
"Errrr…sure, let's go with that."
Enter Maddie.
"Danny," she asked seriously, "Why is there a seat belt attached to our hanging chair, and what is one hundred dollars (in cash) doing on your dresser?"
"Oh…" Danny gulped, "I might have joined a ride-sharing service and have been using the chair to carry people all over town."
The phone in Danny's pocket vibrated. Immediately, he knew what that meant.
"I gotta go."
Danny stood up and went ghost. His white hair was decorated with pink highlights. He floated up to the parents' bedroom to take the hanging chair off its hook. He didn't return.
"Well I guess that explains his street smarts," said Jack.
"Should we ground him?" Jazz asked.
"Well…" said Maddie slowly, "Maybe when it stops earning him money."
