All's Well That Ends Wells
Chapter 3 – Salutation
Tony and Sam entered the airport. The first thing they saw was the airport store. Tony stopped inside to buy a pillow and a couple more of those new Powerball lottery tickets. It's all Ned was been talking about for the last month, the Powerball lottery coming to Iowa. Then Tony joined Sam at the airline ticket booth where Rosie was working. As Tony approached the stand, Rosie, said, "Hey Tony. You're all set. Here is your ticket. We've got you booked on the flight leaving out in the next 12 minutes for Chicago. You're going to need to hurry to make it.
"Rosie, hi. How did you know? I just got here and haven't said a word," inquired Tony.
"Dr. Graham called before you got here. I have been holding the seat from Chicago to New York City. I just need your credit card to process the transaction, so everything is official", Rosie said.
As Tony handed Rosie his American Express card, he said, "Boy that Dr. Graham, he's the best. I am actually going to miss him and him being my boss. He's the second-best boss that I've ever had. This is wonderful and I really appreciate it Rosie," said Tony full of gratitude.
"Anything for a friend. I will miss you, Tony. I've missed Angela since she left. It was nice to have a good girlfriend. She always gave the best advice. But I knew she was miserable. There is only so much bowling, painting, and knitting a girl can do. I'm so happy to see you going after the woman you love. You are two people who make love seem worth it. You're the reason I worked it out with my boyfriend. See he's a bit like you Tony, kinda scared of his feelings for me, and then he's always finding ways not to express his love, and…", Rosie carried on.
"Rosie, give me a hug. We gotta go. The plane is already boarded, and we can't miss this flight. I'll tell Angela your good news. Thank you for being our friend Rosie," Tony said as he hugged her.
"Awh, I hate goodbyes. Let's just say see you later. Tell Angela Hello and I miss her friendship and I hope to hear from her one day soon," said Rosie as she waved to Sam and Tony.
Tony looked to Sam and said, "Come on Sam, time for us to return home"!
As Tony turned to enter the hall to board the plane Sam grabbed his hand and said, "Dad wait! I won't be traveling with you. See I kinda have extended travel plans to go visit Marci in Los Angeles. We've been catching up and we really miss each other. She's invited me for a few fabulous days to hang out with her. Hank was going to join us, but right before I left to come here, he got a call for some interviews in the city next week. I know one is for Sesame Street. But don't worry Dad, you can do this. I'll be home next week before you leave to head back out here to close out your affairs. I'll just wait here for now, my plane leaves in an hour for Las Vegas and then I connect to fly into LAX," Sam shared.
"Wow. Marci Ferguson. That's wonderful Sam. So much good came out of us moving to Connecticut. I'm glad you girls reconnected. Tell her I said hello, be safe, and enjoy. Make sure not to discuss me traveling back to Fairfield. People know us as being separated or confused and I don't want another storyline created before we actually create it, if you know what I mean. Just don't talk about Angela and my relationship. Well, I guess I am on my own with flying home to Angela and confessing my love! Don't worry, I won't get it wrong. I've never felt so confident about Angela and me, as I do right now, but I still am nervous if you know what I mean. Okay kiss me baby girl and keep praying. I love you Samantha," Tony told his daughter as he kissed and hugged her goodbye.
"I love you too Dad. Kiss Angela for me and hurry and get on that plane, before you miss it", exclaimed Sam. Tony turned and went running for the jet bridge.
Tony boarded the plane with a few minutes to spare. There was one window seat left toward the rear of the plane. After buckling up, Tony looked out the window of the plane. As the plane began to pull off to depart the runway, Tony whispered, "All's well, that ends Wells"!
Author's Notes: The plan is to introduce new characters into the Luck of the Draw story (re: Terease Ryan). There will also be a return of some fun-loving characters as well with new story sequences.
