The chapter is here! I am concerned though. With a few things that I have planned in the works, I am not sure if you all are going to hate or love me...oh well. Its a risk I am willing to take for the greater good!~

This guy chasing him...he wasn't one of the Hanoi. And definetly wasn't another Bounty Hunter from SOL Technologies being he was, admittedly, a bit more capable then he'd given the guy credit for at first. He'd considered dueling the guy but went with the gut instinct that said that wasn't such a good idea. After all he wasn't supposed to have survived that last duel yet somehow here he was, back in his original form fleeing from someone who was after him. Again. Though this time he arguably deserved to be hunted down but that was beside the point. What was the point was he had somehow ended up reviving from being deleted after his last duel when he wasn't meant to. When he didn't really want to. So how could he be sure he had the strength to return to and maintain a human appearance to duel his pursuer? Not to mention dueling would almost certainly give away his return to people he'd rather not face again any time soon.

"You will not escape me Ignis!", came the shouts of his pursuer on his tail, "There isn't a safe place in the network for you and this time Playmaker can not interfere! Lambda!"

A purple sphere of energy charged in his hand before he flung it out at the incoming creature behind him. Though being back in this form made the orb just enough to knock back his enemy. Turning back around he started to think quickly...dueling was out of the question for now until he understood his circumstances better. The other Ignis were gone. Last time he checked he was being called either a demon or the enemy of all humanity and that was very unlikely to have changed...case and point his pursuer. At this point risking the unknown by dueling may just be his only viable option unless he wanted to go back to being deleted. Which also may have been best given his memory.

A pulse shocked his body nearly making him stop his fleeing as it shook him from his thoughts. An all too familiar pulse he hadn't felt in who knew how long and it was close. Very close. Very strong. Very much the presence of a Cyberse, no. More like several Cyberse all in one location calling out to him.

He narrowed his eyes before chancing a glance over his shoulder at the one chasing him and the monster that had tried attacking. There wasn't a choice. Lightning had been so sure that of the simulations he'd run, he'd been so convinced by the simulations the Light Ignis had run, but if there was a chance- After all Lightning hadn't seen that particular simulation. Or more like he hid it from him to ensure nothing else would interfere with his plans which was far more likely the occurrence .

Braking hard left, he broke from the path he'd been taking to instead surge in the direction where the pulses were coming from.

'TRANSFER COMPLETE'

He wasn't sure exactly what his escape from that guy chasing him and ridiculous laughing monster of his would feel like, but dizzy and disorienting wasn't it. Then again it could have just been what he'd gone through too. After all spending years merely floating in the network among uncountable other bits and bytes of data when he should have been deleted from exsistance, only to be chased into a duel disk again by some new faction after him? Yeah. Just thinking about it was enough to cause a headache. Forget going through it.

But for the moment he had much more pressing issues too deal with.

Fighting back the slowly clearing disorientation, the singular golden eye opened to a world he never though he'd see again. Deciding to take the chance the eyeball glanced upwards only to see the blurr of his surroundings passing swiftly by as whoever's wrist carried the duel disk swung with the motion of hurried steps.

"Don't worry I won't let them get you. You're safe with m-"

"-So. This is where you fled to, is it Ignis? Trying to flee into Link VRAINS in hopes of finding your human counterpart? A fruitless endevour. Though I admit you having the strength to both flee in the first place and fend off an attack is something."

The young hacker's eyes narrowed to become thin disks. A faint purple glow appeared above her out held hand before the light formed into the more defined shape of what looked like a card of sorts. Though the language printed on it was actually digital code and there wasn't a picture in the blank frame. "He didn't flee anywhere. More like I drew him too me too keep him from your hands. And now I suggest you leave while you can still log out 'cause you're really not going to be happy if I crush this to spred it's highly potent spores.", she warned in a cool monotone not taking her eyes off the man.

The new voice belonged to an unfamiliar masked avatar who was clad not unlike a clown or maybe even a old timey court jester. His white mask covered from his nose upwards, thus leaving only his mouth and chin visible. Not much to go on for the purpose of gaining an identification off of him. His outrageous attire being a pattern of dark and light blue, black and purple all trimmed with gold. It was complete with large scarf wrapped several times loosely about and plush hat resting on his head slightly loopsided. His boots were simpler going to just above the knees. Under everything the teen was sure she noticed plates of silver armor. The jester-like avatar looked from the little digital eyeball being in her duel disk to frown at the dark haired teen herself. He eyed her in silence for a couple seconds before frowning. Directing his gaze at the card hoovering just above her palm, "A virus. And I'd say its a self custom created nasty one at that which means you must be quite the talented hacker." Turning back to the girl, "I doubt you'll explain what it does but possibly somewhere along the lines of forcing me to log out of the network. Or even deleting me. The possibilities are endless for someone with as much talent as you apparently seem to possess according to those Observer fools."

"So you guys do know me?", the teen questioned raising an eyebrow.

The new man laughed putting a hand on his hip, "Don't flatter yourself kid. All I know about you is you're a hacker that is mediocre enough to get on the Knights of Hanoi's bad side. That and that that Ignis for some reason choose to flee from me only to end up trapped in your duel disk. How convenient for me." Extending a hand expectently, "Now be a good girl and hand over that AI before I decide to stop being so nice. Trust me when I say I am doing this as a favor to you and all humanity..."

"..Watch it!", shouted the golden eyeball suddenly to call for the teen's attention.

The teen's eyes widened instantly at the alert as, without missing a beat, the card was slipped into the slot where normally one would deposit cards to the graveyard in. The disk sucking up the card and its center the AI was standing on glowing for a breif moment. Just in time it seemed, for static electricity crackled around the teen's disk surrounding the male AI before just as quickly dispersing. The AI perfectly unharmed. "You okay?", the female duellist asked the eyeball who was busy twisting around as if too examine himself.

The digital eye looked around twisting to examine every inch of himself while narrowing. He gave a shiver in which his form breifly blurred before settling back to normal sharp clarity. Suspicion entered the AI's gaze as he turned it on ths human whose disk he inhabited at the moment. "What was that?"

"This guy wasn't totally wrong. I just installed a virus-"

"-You gave me a virus!?" The male AI looked ready to leap out of the disk and challange her to a duel at the news the human had downloaded a virus in him.

The teen sighed before giving the male living program a light poke with her thumb and second finger. Her new friend was going to be nothing but a headache she had the feeling. He was already proving to be some work...and they just met. "Yes a virus but you can relax and take a chill pill, because its not meant to cause you any harm or rewrite your coding or delete you or anything like that. Promise.", said the young female duelist, "If I had wanted to get rid of you then trust me that I would have done it by now."

The eye did relax but didn't give up the suspicious glare he was giving the human teen right away. Closing briefly before turning his attention to his wanna-be assailant, "So I'm a hostage again."

Likewise turning back towards the man who'd tried attacking her new little digital buddy, the girl smirked. "For as much as I don't like the idea of taking a hostage what I gave you is an Anti-Virus Virus which I developed myself. And all my programs are uncrackable. This one, for example, binds with your digital algorithm and attacks any foreign code or codes that attempt to cause harm to the algorithm. Unfortunetly I've never had an AI before so have never tested it on a simple generic one let alone one as complex as you. So it locks you into my duel disk in order to protect you. I can release the lock later.", explained the purple haired nineteen year old with quite the proud look brightening up her face. Of course the darker expression of the man before them only served to help boost that proud ego further.

This wasn't what they man had in mind when he swore to capture the smug little program and bring it into his superior's custody. From everything they had gathered the AI shouldn't have been a problem without his deck, power of the other five or not. After almost twenty years of floating along in the network alone he should have been weak enough to not pose an issue in capturing. But now with this girl stubbornly at his back... "So in other words the only way for me to get the Ignis is by defeating you in a duel. Didn't your parents ever teach you to not interfere in other people's bussiness kid.", he reasoned in a not exactly thrilled manner.

"Bingo! Unfortunetly for you, as a hacker, my bussiness is making other people's bussiness mine. This AI clearly doesn't want to go with you so I think he'll be staying nice and safe in my duel disk. Unless you think you're man enough to survive getting between a girl and her AI that is."

"That sounds like a challange."

"It doesn't sound like anything, because we already established it is a challange.", corrected the dual haired teen as she held up her arm bearing her duel disk and the AI, "You versus me. Now. You win then you can have this AI you want so badly."

Looking unamused by the teen's declaration, "Ha! Listen brat-"

"Thats the other thing.", the female duelist interrupted cutting him off midsentence, "My name isn't brat. I'm only telling you this so you know who sent you home empty handed, but the name is Codebreaker."

The man grit his teeth wearily narrowing his eyes at the now duo challanging him, "So. You're the infamous Codebreaker huh? According to the Dark Net your deck is supposed to rival the ones used by those fools working for the Knights of Hanoi as Observents. Be that as it may your reign on top of the wanted charts ends now, brat, because I'm going to make you regret ever teaming up with that Ignis! I accept your challange Codebreaker! Prove to me you're everything the Hanoi and SOL Technologies makes you out to be!"

Codebreaker chuckled darkly, "With pleassure."
