Wind whipped around her. Her long hair likewise doing so about her face stinging it in the process. The young hacker raised a hand to tuck the wild flying strands behind her ears with a slight scowl at their disobedience of staying put. Well before pausing mid action anyway staring down past her hand and forgetting about her unruly long purple locks. Her eyes locked wide on the almost surfboard-like device she was apparently riding and river of purple data flowing like water underneath it. Or it could have been the concreate blurring by however many feet below her that stunned her into not being able too look anywhere but ahead. "There's...there's no way...this...can't be...", she said unable too form a complete sentence as her body felt all but frozen to the duelling hoverboard she was riding. Taking the chance the hacker cast her eyes downwards staring wide eyed at the singular golden eye which resided in her disk in silence. Well at least for a moment anyway.
"CODEBREAKER!"
Codebreaker snapped out of the trance like state she was in upon hearing her name and turned her head around towards it. All just in time too see the jester-like male duelist approaching fast riding the data winds on a board of his very own. It looked like questions would have too wait until after she and her new digital friend were in the clear from their pursuer. So as soon as the man caught up too her, the young hacker pushed all other thoughts her mind accepting the shocking fact as fact for the time being. "Right here! If you want us, then come and get us!"
'LET'S SPEED DUEL!"
'Masked Hanoi Knight
4000 life points'
Unknown Duelist
4000 life points
'Playmaker
4000 life points'
Codebreaker
4000 life points
'Alright I'll make the first move. What a perfect hand, this duel is already over Playmaker. To start things off I summon Hack Worm! I can automatically summon it when you have no monsters, good thing I got too go first!'
'I see that it only has 400 attack points and that must mean that you're up to something.'
'That's right! Because I'm bring out a second Hack Worm!'
'Oh boy oh boy! With double the monsters, that masked freakazoid has bazillions and gazillions of options! Each one worst then the last!'
'Playmaker! I told you that you should never have challenged me! I tribute my two Hack Worms to summon my mightiest monster! Now arise, Cracking Dragon! How do you like that, Playmaker?'
"I don't know how you found out about it but that doesn't change the fact that Ignis is mine Codebreaker. If I have to take you out to get it then so be it. The Hanoi will thank me handsomely I imagine for doing LINK VRAINS this extra service." A red glowing circle appeared around the male duelist's wrist which held his duel disk as a card spat itself out facedown from the top. Taking the card between his fingers, "I'm going first. Draw!" A line of cards materilized hoovering in front of the man as the card he just drew added itself to the end of the line up. Touching one of them, "I set this facedown and end my turn. Time too see if your reputation is well earned or just a bunch of Dark Net rumours!" The card disappeared at the same time a large one manifested face down at the male duelist's feet.
'Aw glitch! That's the worst option of all! Agh. Playmaker?'
'Not now.'
'Oh so you wanna crash?'
'Hm?!'
'You've got to stay alert. In a Speed Duel, the duel itself is only part of the challenge. If you crash and burn in this virtual world, you'll actually suffer in the real world too. Your mind may never recover!'
'Well hen that's a risk I'm willing to take. Because I have to win this duel no matter what the cost.'
'Ooh gutsy! But good luck beating that thing.'
'It's my turn. I draw! Perfect!'
'Ohh! Whatcha get!? Whatcha get?!'
'Quiet down.'
'Hmm!'
The female hacker narrowed her eyes. Both confusion and suspicion clear in them as she was not accustomed too such a move. Something just didn't seem right about this guy or that move he'd made to her. Violet narrowed while chancing a glance back at the guy close on her tail. "It's our turn then! We draw!", declared Codebreaker as she removed the top card of her deck. This was not going to be an easy duel. Just keeping her eyes ahead and keeping alert enough to manuver the board she was on without falling into the stream of data was going to be an obstacle itself. But to do that plus duel, let alone win a duel? All Codebreaker could do was hope she would prove more cordinated on this board then on her feet.
'I place two cards facedown. Then I summon Cyberse Wizard!'
Adding the card she drew to her hand and removing another in its place, "We're going to start things off by activating the Field Spell Card Cynet Universe!" A large green-blue bordered card bearing the image of a sort of computer grid on its face materilized face up on the field. Picking up another card from her hand to place on her duel disk, "Next by sending another monster too the graveyard, we're allowed too then summon Topologina Gatsbee to the field!"
A blue humanoid-machine-like monster with yellow light blade or insect wing-like constructs on it's feet appeared on the bluenette's side of the field.

'Well aren't you full of surprises. Big deal. Your monster is already much weaker then my Cracking Dragon and I'm about too make it even weaker! Cracking Dragon lowers Cyberse Wizard's attack points by 200 for each of its levels, and you take damage equal to that amount! Crack him!'
"Foolish girl!", shouted the oddly dressed man suddenly. A wild grin pulling the man's mouth upwards in a maniacal laugh as he burst out in amusement. Hand on his forehead as he shook his head. "You just sealed your fate Codebreaker, your own and that threat to humanity you insist on protecting like the traitor you are! For when you normal or special summon a monster while I have none on my side of the field, I automatically get too summon both PSY-Framegear Alpha from my hand and PSY-Frame Driver from my hand, deck or graveyard! On top of that I get too add a PSY-Frame card from my deck too my hand as long as it's not Alpha! So say hello too the beginning of your doom!" The man continued too laugh as he set both monsters on his own disk as both monsters materialised onto the field. His disk spitting out a card which he took before it digitised from his grip disappearing. "Though truth is I could have done this at any time, I just wanted too ensure my monsters could handle yours! What do you think, little girl!?"
Both of his newly summoned monsters appeared too be similar too the duelist in that they were mechanical clowns. The only difference was the two monsters appeared too be held together with flowing static electricity.

Eyeing the newly materialised pair on monsters floating on either side of her opponent, purple eyes narrowed. "PSY-Frame? That's a new one.", said Codebreaker not being able too recall hearing or seeing such a type of monster before. If there was one thing that made her more worried then anything it was having some sort of lack of information, even more so when it came to an opponent. The girl was a hacker first and foremost after all. Information was her thing. Her primary weapon and advantage. Turning away from the two new monsters who'd entered the duel, Codebreaker turned her attention to the living program she'd caught in her disk. "So I don't suppose you happen too know anything about this guy's deck since, you know, he was the one chasing you before I saved you.", she asked hoping the living program could fill in what she didn't know for her.
The golden eye looked up at the teen as it met her purple expectant look. "You know all you meatbags are the same, demanding information and taking poor innocent hostage. It's like you all are programmed too see nothing but what's right in front of your faces. It's what makes you all so gullible and helpless in duels without the assistance of an AI.", it said in a scoffing way. If it had a body then there was little doubt the Artificial Intelligence would cross its arms in stubborn refusal.
A pause from the girl before-
"I know the truth, he told me everything."
The eyeball blinked up at Codebreaker having turned from suspicious, uncooperative narrow too wide golden plate. Then shrinking back too it's suspicious narrow again. It stared up at the female duelist, who didn't neither flinch away or explain herself further, for a long minute before closing. A sighing sound coming from Codebreaker's duel disk. Gold opening once again, "Fine but only because you asked so nicely and I don't have enough data too take this guy on myself right now. Otherwise I wouldn't need your help too one hit K.O. him." It glanced over at the direction of the opposite data wave where their opponent was riding, "As you know this meatbag's deck uses monsters called PSY-Frames. They're a group of LIGHT Psychic monsters which focus primarily around two monsters in particular...our friend over there PSY-Frame Driver and another monster called PSY-Frame Multi-Threader."
Codebreaker instantly made a disgusted grimace at the Artificial Intelligence's explanation of their opponent's deck, "Light. It had too be Light, of course. I hate LIGHT cards. I'm going too have fun destroying this guy and his monsters for sure now.", she grumbled though she didn't seemed surprised at all by this revelation. Other then being disgusted the purple haired duelist didn't seemed phased at all.
"That might be trickier too do then you think.", added the AI before going on, "PSY-Frames have a set of monsters called PSY-Framegears like that Alpha. They can't be set normally, instead they each have an ability that makes them basically hand traps. And each ability summons that monster and Driver from the deck, hand or graveyard to the field which means he'll be able too summon that thing that accosted me before I ended up in your duel disk."
Looking up from the eyeball in her disk the young hacker replied, "Not if we stop him first by knocking him off his board. And that's starting right now because since we have a monster in the graveyard, Cynet Universe's effect activates!"
'Sure you may have greatly weakened my monster, but Cyberse Wizard has other tricks! It can switch your dragon from attack to defence! Cyberse Algorithm! You're dragon may be strong offensively but it has no defence. Further more, when it attacks Cyberse Wizard can deal you damage even if your monster is in defence mode! Attack! Illusion Spike!'
The card bearing the image of the network appeared on the field again glowing. The female hacker held up the arm holding her duel disk pointedly. "Once per turn we can target one monster in the graveyard and reshuffle it back into our deck! So the monster we gave up too summon Gatsbee is right back where it belongs!" Codebreaker then removed the card which her disk spat back out and placed it on the top of her deck. The deck then reshuffled itself in the disk. After which the female duelist pulled another card from her hand holding it up exposing a picture of what looked like a monster similar too the blue one she'd summoned, only smaller and limbless. "Next we can summon Topologina Babee too the field since both of us have the same amount of life points! So be polite for once and say hello!", she said playing the card.

"Also because we control a Topologina monster that was special summoned we can also special summon Topologina Maybee from our hand! Though in exchange for this we can't normal summon another monster this turn, not that that is going too be a big deal though as you'll find out! But first things first!"
A monster not unlike the blue Topologina monster which had been summoned only with the light wing structure's on it's back appeared on the field. Thus tripling the number of monsters on Codebreaker's side of the field.

"It's still our turn so let's continue so we can get this farce over with yeah?" Raising a hand above her head, "Since Topologina Babee and Maybee are on our field we can now use them too decode our circuit!" As if on cue a sort of gateway appeared above the two duelists and their monsters. A large blue gateway glowing with arrows lining the boarder of it.
The girl's opponent stopped laughing when the gateway appeared, though a grin was still plastered on his face. "Ah now I see! So that was your plan from the get go was it!? A Link Summoning? Go ahead and try but nothing is going too save you from what I have planned for you my next turn and keep me from capturing that demon!"
"I disagree.", said Codebreaker, "But if you want the proof then let's make a believer out of you." Kicking the duel board into high gear, the purple haired teen took off aiming the board upwards towards the gate which had appeared above the field. Her monsters following flanking her on both sides as she flew right up into the opening of the gate with them. Turning around, the young hacker hoovered there in midair staring down at the opening of the gate which looked down onto the field below. "Link arrows authorised! The summoning conditions are two Topologina monsters! So we set Topologina Babee and Maybee in the Link Arrows!"
At the female duelist's orders, both said monsters dissolved into twisters of energy before spiralling down towards the gate only for each o too impact an arrow. Thus making said marks glow red.
Up.
Down.
"Link the circuit! We Link Summon! Link Two, Topologina Sassabee!"
The monster that Codebreaker reappeared from the gate with was similar too the others she had summoned. However, this particular monster was green in it's colouring and its energy wing-like structures were attached too it's shoulders. It's legs was more like a single bee's stinger and it had streamlined blasters for arms. The new monster settle into place on the field right in front of it's blue counterpart so that the down arrow pointed to the other monster. A dark aura surrounding it's form as it did so.

"Finally Sassabee's effect activates! When it is successfully Link Summoned, both monsters that were used too summon it return too our hand so we regain both Babee and Maybee!", said the female duelist removing a pair of newly returned cards from her duel disk and adding them too her hand. "Now then Topologina Sassabee! Attack PSY-Frame Driver!"
The Link Monster responded too the order by readying too surge forward over the data waves headed right for the one electricity-surrounded monster on the jester's side of the field.
The golden eyeball in her duel disk narrowed.
Meanwhile the teen's opponent just stared in disbelief at the young hacker before suddenly bursting out in uncontrollable laughter shouting, "HA! You know you if you wanted too hand me the DARK Ignis then all you had too do was hand the demon over instead of going through all this! I would have left you alone if you had, girl! Now you're just making me seem cruel-"
"I'd shut up and use your head for once if I were you. Try opening your eyes while you're at it too, not that you're capable of either.", said Codebreaker in a totally calm, even cold, voice cutting across the man's celebrations.
The teen's opponent did just that. Suddenly stopping when it appeared that she was in phased or otherwise concerned about the attack that would surely lead to her own defeat. And doing so made him stop cold.
Topologina Sassabee - 1300 attack
Codebreaker narrowed her eyes unflinching at her opponent staring right back when he gave her a confused angry expression. "Since Sassabee is a Link Monster, the second effect of Cynet Universe which gives all Link Monsters on our field an extra 300 attack points activates!"
The man made a fist, "Still! That still doesn't matter when it's mere 1300 attack points don't compare too Driver's 2500! It'll still self-destruct!"
Still looking unphased the female duelist removed one of the cards from her hand speaking up, "That would be true if we didn't have this card. The Spell Card Cynet Crosswipe in our hand!"
A blue-green boarded card manifested on Codebreaker's side of the field bearing the picture of what looked like two computer chips intersecting each other too form a large X.
"What!?"
"Thanks too this card Topologina Gatsbee is sent to the graveyard! The upside? He doesn't go alone 'cause he can take one other card on the field with him, and your Driver will keep him company just fine! Say good bye!"
The Topologina monster exploded in a burst of light and shower of sparks. It was these sparks that then surrounded the more powerful of the teen's opponant's monster duo, the effect of the spell ready too do to him as what happened with her monster.
The man made a fist, "No! I refuse too let you attack my monster! So before your Link Monster has a chance too carrying out your order, I reveal my face down Trap Card! Go PSY-Frame Accelerator!" The man shouted at a purple boarded card appeared flipping face up on his side of the data waves. On it a picture of what could only be a PSY-Frame rushing so fast it was blurry through a sort of wormhole. "This card lets me pay 500 life points and banish a PSY-Frame Monster until my next stand by phase! I select my Driver! Meaning your Sassabee can no longer target it for an attack!"
Unknown Duelist - 3500 life points
The second electricity surrounded monster suddenly disappeared from the field in a burst of light. While at the same time the one who had summoned it was likewise surrounded by light as his life points fell.
"You lowered your own life points to save your monster. Got to admit thats clever-", Codebreaker praised before a knowing smirk came accross her face, "-But, considering you played right into our trap, not good enough! Sassabee can switch it's focus now to the monster with less attack points...PSY-Framegear Alpha! Sassabee! Attack! Destroy it with Plasma Stinger!"
The blaster-like appendages on the green monster started too charge with energy getting ready too follow the order now that it had a new target.
"I activate PSY-Frame Accelerator again! It'll cost me another 500 life points but Alpha is temporarily banished and thus may not be targeted by your attack! And I still have plenty left over to take you out with!"
The man's life points fell again by another 500 as the purple card activated for a second time. At the same time the last remaining monster floating beside him disappeared in a burst of yellow light just as the first one had seconds ago.
Unknown Duelist - 3000 life points
"Not for long! Without both your monsters on the field right now, you're wide open too a direct attack from Sassabee and there's no removing yourself from play! Now let's try this again! Topologina Sassabee attacks you directly!"
The green bee-like Link Monster turned around and headed right for the jester-clad duelist on the other data wave.
"Plasma Stinger!"
The Link Monster fired off a pair of concentrated dark blasts of energy at the male duelist, knocking him square on target and sending him flying back on his board. The man swerving about out of control for several seconds until he managed too regain control of the board he was riding and catch back up with Codebreaker. Though he looked as though he had clearly seen better days. Too say the jester duelist appeared haggard was an understatement as he fell too a knee breathing hard on his board after regaining control. "Why...you-!", he panted trying to bring air into his lungs as he glared up at the purple haired teen flying ahead of him, "-you shall pay for that one! I, Nero Augustus, swear it...Codebreaker! You will not defeat one of the Legionnaires!"
Nero Augustus - 1700 life points
Codebreaker - 4000 life points
'Only a monster with a higher level can destroy Cracking Dragon.'
'Whaaaa I didn't know that! Maybe my program has some run time errors.'
'Fascinating.'
'Ugh you don't seem so shocked.'
'I'm not, when I activated Cyberse Wizard's effect he didn't seem worried. And I knew then that something was up.'
'Look worried? How could you tell? Half his face is covered up!'
'That's why you're just a program. I end my turn so Cyberse Wizard retains his attack points.'
