Fox sat at the 79's bar looking into his drink when Wolffe knocked on his head, "Anyone home?" Glaring at his brother who answered, "You haven't responded to anything we said."
His other batchmates Cody and Ponds were both looking at him with concern when he sighted through his nose, "I guess my talk with the Sith Assassin got to me."
Ponds leaned forward, "Who is he?"
"His name is Chaos." Shrugging, "He doesn't talk much but it's his reactions to different things that made me want to talk to him." Pulling a projector and disk, "It started when I tried to find the time when he wasn't on any of our systems so I could tighten security." Turning on the holo, "I found this." Silently his brothers watched the Dathmarian protect the children.
Cody shook his head, "That doesn't make sense," Looking around at his Batchmates, "Oppress has killed all in his path before. He barely hesitated when there were children."
"There's more," Fox said packing the holo and projector away. "When General Kolar told him about the children being okay he left a picture of them with the Assassin." Leaning forward, "When no one was around he held it to his chest and cried like a vod who lost his squadmates."
Ponds leaned forward, "What else has happened with him?"
So Fox told them about Chaos helping the wookie child, how he always listened intently and never tried to leave. He ended with his conversation with Chaos. Looking at his batchmates, "And I have a feeling there is more where all of that came from."
Wolffe shook his head stubbornly, "They don't care, they can't." His hands began shaking and Ponds put a hand on their brother's shoulder. Leaning into the support Wolffe focused on his breathing. The Dathmarian female Ventress had cut out Wolffe's right eye and the cybernetic glinted in the dim light of the bar reminding them of that.
Cody broke the silence, "We used to think that Alpha was a dangerous kark eating sha'bur but he is a lot more." They smiled slightly at the memory of the first Generation clone trained by Prime himself before teaching them. Continuing his thought Cody spoke, "Maybe there are reasons why this Chaos person keeps everyone out."
There was a slight nod from Wolffe, he could accept that one of the Dathmarians didn't fit the mold even if he wasn't ready yet for more. Ponds spoke up, "You said that Chaos mentioned that his brother had children."
Fox nodded, "Apparently they were separated from him and his brothers before they left Dathomir." Then swirling his drink, "General Kolar thinks that the children are being held captive to buy the Oppress brothers good behavior." Downing it in one go he continued before the others could get into an argument, "Karking Separatists." Standing up, "Let's get more drinks and talk about something else."
