Just can't stay away from this fic, despite keep saying I'll wait until I have the book, well anyway here is a bit more of 'Warming up into Dardunah' by Introducing the 'Wandering Tribe' that will be the protectors of the Heroes in this Adventure.

Chanchalla as the daughter of the woman Seven-Scars loved got the place of honor sitting beside him as he drove the wagon, the Turtles had to sit in the wagon. "You wouldn't want just any Janah to see you..." Seven-Scars said and Chanchalla had to translate.

The Turtles were feeling great feelings of aprihension, This Seven-Scars seemed polite but if he loved Chanchalla's mother, could he be completely trusted?

Leo in particular was feeling particurally anxious about being seperated from Challa, the thing he had to say to her would probobly have to wait even longer until they had gotten situated wherever they were going.

But soon enough they reached the Camp of the Wandering Tribe, they were comprised of mostly Vajrah, a few Paksin and as far as Chanchalla could see no Sarpah, but perhaps more than that, most everyone in the Tribe had either black or very dark gray pelts, only a handful of bright colors in the crowd, now obviously as a Sheep who was black in the front and white in the back, Chanchalla was accustumed to seeing black everytime she looked in the mirror, but living in Nilam's Capital City of Hanalue where Vajrah, Paksin and Sarpah all lived mixed together, she was used to gazing from her balcony and seeing a rainbow of colors in the Janah walking below, admittatly the most brilliant colors came from the Paksin and Saraph with the most brightly colored a Vajrah can be is varient of red, orange or yellow...All right you can find bright blue in the irridesant face of a mandrill, but most of the time to see green, blue or purple on a Vajrah the Janah in question either dyed their fur or was subject to some other body modification which to be far is faily common on Dardunah.

Seven-Scars got down and said something in a language Chanchalla could not understand to assure his tribe that they would not be harmed, even without understanding the language she was able to figure out he was assuring them before he let out the Turtles,

And when the Turtles finally stepped out, they heard gasps and shrieks, they saw Mothers picking up their babies and babies crying, more reacting to the adults than seeing what the adults were seeing, it was just like when humans had this reaction to them, only this somehow felt worse...Because they were animal people like them, but because they had the wrong proportions they had the wrong amount of fingers and toes and anatomy that normal Turtles didn't have, they were seen as deformed members of their species, which felt even worse, this Janah reconized them as people but hideously deformed people like the kind of unfortunatwe people who in olden days could only get work in Carnival Sideshows!

And then one of the children said something along the lines of "Why are they naked?"

And the fear melted away and gave way to mocking laughter!

And that REALLY ticked Raph off! Leo had to hold at his arm and give him a stern look to prevent him from pulling out his sais which could lead to diplomatic disaster pulling out a weapon with those who are supposed to be your allies!

Children tried to be sneaky to get better looks at the Turtles, and Leo and Don both got horrible feelings...Their lack of clothes Usagi and Gen didn't really seem to take issue with it, but here was different, both Turtles realized that even if they looked like the Janah, that if they were to just walk around as they were they would get in trouble for public nudity for it was becoming clear that men needed to wear pants or least a loincloth, even if they were technically covered by their shells the Janah likely wouldn't see it that way and would insist they cover up.

Seven-Scars snapped his fingers and two Male Janah came out from the crowd a Binterong and a Rooster who was entirly black you could barely make out his eyes, he was an Ayam Cemani Chicken and seeing a Chicken strutting toward them gave Mikey the chills remembering what brought the subject of the status of animals to Chanchalla was Mikey mentioning barbecue chicken and remembering her freak out back then because she believed them to be cannibals, Mikey realized his brothers had very good reason for taking his cookies before they left...This Chicken was a solemn reminder to keep tight lipped about the status of animals on Third Earth and most particurally about animals that are eaten.

He wispered to Don "OK that guy is a Chicken but what is the other guy?"

"He's a Binterong." Don said

"A what?" Mikey cocked his head

"Just say Bearcat." Don sighed "It's easier."

Seven-Scars said "These two are Sadaak..." He gestured to the Binterong "...And Punivatum, his friends call him Puni..." He gestured to the Rooster "...Both are Sir,Hibasi and both Janah you can trust with your lives."

"All right." Chanchalla said "...I think I've worked out a way to spred the translation spell to anyone I choose so that you may understand these Turtles and they may understand you but not anyone else...Before we do so, would you prefer Nilami or Tishnian? Those are the two languages I speak so I can have you hear what they are saying in either of those two languages..."

So here establishes Chanchalla creates a spell that replicates the initial translation spell to give anyone she chooses the ability to understand what the Turtles are saying and they can understand what the Janah is saying
