Chapter 15 - Idol jumps to the sky part 4

Idol stands stoic between the two hordes of Fallen, now transformed into Kamen Rider Idol Grasshopper. Genkei remains on the ground, keeping himself conscious as the hordes close in. Kamen Rider Fang remains on guard as he is the first to be consumed by them. With both of his and Idol's swords in hand, he fends off their advances, keeping himself on his feet. Masquerade is still resting on the roof of one of the warehouses, watching the fight closely. Idol doesn't say anything, just stands there staring out into the horde.

The moment his body twitches when his heel lifts off the ground, his body is fired like a bullet into the horde, his body tearing through their rock-like bodies like a bulldozer. Before anyone could react, his body is flung back towards the other side of the horde, crashing into a few of the Fallen, knocking some down, and destroying others. He bounces again, this time stopping just short of Genkei, his boots cracking the ground upon stopping so suddenly.

He is hunched over, it took a lot of force on his leg to stop him from going further. A random Fallen tries to tackle him, almost tripping over itself as it climbs over the remains on the ground. Idol sees them approaching, and leaps up. Miscalculating the force needed, Idol shoots off into the sky above, making themself several feet off the ground. Fang bursts out of the crowd of Fallen, their remains flying off his body as he comes to Genkei's side, cutting down any Fallen that gets too close, "What is that rich kid doing? Is he trying to miss on purpose?"

In the air, time feels like it is slowing down for Idol. Inside his own mind, Jiro stands in a blank world, an open void of white nothingness. "Hello?" he calls out into the void, his voice echoes for seemingly miles until it returns back to him. "Where am I?" he mutters to himself, quiet enough not to create an echo. "You're inside your own mind," he hears a voice from behind him, a warm, calming voice, "All of this is thanks to the Shinaito Driver."

Jiro turns around to see a familiar face, "Hello, Jiro." Jiro stands in awe as he is face to face with his father, Itosasaki Ichiro, the original Kamen Rider Idol. "You've grown. To think you'd be taking my place so soon." Ichiro is smiling, his eyes fail to hide the joy he is feeling. "Father, where are we? Am I dead?" Ichiro starts to laugh, putting his hand on his son's shoulder, "No, not yet anyway." Jiro starts to panic, "What?" "I'm kidding, partly," Ichiro says, "This is your first time using the Grasshopper idol, so I feel like you should hear it from me how to use it properly before you crash down to earth and join me permanently."

Jiro realizes that time is of the essence, "How do I use it?" Ichiro removes his hand and turns away, "The grasshopper idol grants the ability of increased speed and agility. It can turn a jump over a puddle into a leap over a canyon." Ichiro pauses his explanation before turning back around to face his son, "However, it is very delicate. You need to pay attention the whole time, or else you'll miss your mark." The world around him starts to clear as Jiro returns to reality, "Oh, and you kick the air to double jump."

"Father, wait!" Jiro is brought back to reality as he starts to descend. He takes a deep breath and begins to take in what his father said. As Idol, he kicks the air, firing himself towards the ground, however, he aims towards one of the warehouses. He flips his body forward, pushing his legs out to perform a kick. Within a split second, Idol performs a rider kick on Masquerade. The attack throws them off the building, and he lands on the ground, pushing his foot out to slow down to stop himself. Masquerade lands on the ground hard.

Without thinking of anything else to do, Idol grabs Genkei's body and picks him up before leaping into the air again. Now that he is focused, he is able to leap over the horde and land on the other side. His feet teach down where the police department had placed themselves. Noticing a medical team already, Idol comes to them for help. "This man was beaten badly by Masquerade, I don't know how badly he is hurt, but I got to him in time before he could be turned." Idol slowly lowers him down onto the ground by the team as an ambulance pulls up, "I'll leave him to you, I need to get back into the fight."

Without waiting for confirmation, Idol leaps back into the fight. Fang looks up briefly to see Idol in the air, "At least he's not misusing my idol," he says to himself before he uses both swords to cut a Fallen down the middle. Fang throws the swords onto the floor, and grabs his driver, he flicks the triggers to engage his finisher, but then does it again, engaging it twice. He hunches over, getting on all fours as a blue aura burns around his body, creating the projection of a wolf. He pounces onto a Fallen and tears them apart with the wolf fangs. He starts to use this animal-like ability to take on the rest of the horde.

While in the sky, Idol spots Masquerade in the crowd and aim for him. Kicking the sky, he charges from the air towards him. He kicks the air and like before, he rider kicks Masquerade. He is pushed back, but this time he remains standing. Now on the ground again, Idol changes his fighting style to use his legs instead of his arms, now that he doesn't have his claws anymore. Masquerade stumbles, he tries to create more swords to fight back, but the new idol overpowers him, kicking the swords out of their hand. Idol grabs his driver and pushes the triggers, engaging his finisher. His legs start to glow with a green aura as it charges it. He jumps onto Masquerade, his body hangs in the air. He starts to rapidly kick at him, purposely hitting him in the shoulder. Putting his legs together, Idol delivers a double kick in the shoulder. Sparks fly off their body before Masquerade explodes, throwing him back into another building close by. The building collapses as Idol turns to look away from it before it too explodes.

Idol turns around to see the last of the Fallen being destroyed by Fang. The wolf spirit around him disappears before James disengages the suit. James doesn't say anything, instead just walks over to his sword and picks it up. Idol looks at James, and starts to think, "Maybe I should tell him about my vision of father." He watches James begin to walk away, and chases after him, "James, wait!" James doesn't stop, instead just continues to walk away, dragging his sword behind him. "Where are you going?" he asks his half-brother. James answers him, but keeps moving forward, "I parked Lee's bike around there to avoid scratching it," there's a pause, filled mostly by Jiro's confusion as he disengages his suit. "It's curry night. Lee said if I ruined his bike I won't get any. I mean he also said he'd kick my teeth in, but I'm not going to miss a warm meal." Jiro stops walking and decides to let James go.

Jiro turns to see that the police are still busy with the injured, giving him enough of a distraction. Jiro quickly grabs his sword and canon, although struggles due to their weight, and gets onto the Sunlight Striker. Before anyone could notice him out of the suit, he starts to speed off down the road, "Sorry to leave without a goodbye, Genkei," he thinks to himself, "But you should be in good hands now. I'll let my aunt know you fought well."

Hours later, a team from the crime scene division of the police department are inspecting the warehouses and buildings. "Based on the report given, and the lack of evidence for other Fallen, I'd say we got them all this afternoon," one of the investigates says to a neighboring officer. The warehouse door opens as one of the team rushes in, sweat on their forehead, "Careful, you'll ruin the scene!" They pant, out of breath from running, "We just checked the building that the rider was kicked into, and we haven't found any sign of a body, or anything related. I think they escaped."
