A/N: Hello and welcome to chapter 5! We're finally heading to jolly ol' England, and we get introduced to a lot of old faces that I'm sure we'll see more of, this is also the first chapter where we get into the mature rating, there will be swearing, references to sexual activities, and even some glazed over, I made the mistake of trying to write smut, and I didn't enjoy it, so like many authors I've enjoyed on here, it will be limited to more lime style, so lots of kissing and touching, but no further than that.

I will also say that the lovely Goldzar is still the beta for this story, and I'm forever grateful, I forgot to mention him last chapter. Oops

Chapter 5

August 8th, 1995

Harry stood, gazing at the place he called home for the last fourteen years of his life. He felt sadness move through him, knowing that he may not see this place for a long time.

He felt the arms of his surrogate mother wrap around him, "It's okay to be sad Harry, leaving home is hard, but just know as long as you keep us in your heart, it never truly leaves you."

Harry turned and hugged her back, "Thank you Aunt Terri, I'll try to remember that."

He felt another hand on his shoulder, turning, he found Sirius waiting, "Time to go Harry, we have a portkey to catch and we got to go to the regional MACUSA center first."

Giving his aunt one last hug, Harry went over to where Sirius and Thomas, who had dyed his hair black to match the two others, were waiting, "I still can't believe you dyed your hair black just to blend in." Harry remarked.

Thomas grinned and ran a hand through his now dark hair, "You're telling me, try looking into the mirror and seeing something new after seventeen years of your life."

The two laughed quietly, and were interrupted by Sirius, "Alright you two, grab on." Harry reached over and held onto the portkey and put his other hand on his trunk. In a whirl of magic, they vanished and landed in a circular room. Harry took a look around and found Thomas and Sirius already moving to the exit. Following, Harry walked into a larger room, full of other wizards, witches, goblins, and even a few sasquatches roaming the area. This was the Greater Northwest Travel Hub, where anyone wanting to travel to other locations across the country, could do so through trans-continental floo or portkeys. Harry was nudged by a passing wizard and it jolted him out of his wonder, he caught up to Sirius and Thomas who were waiting by a floo labeled 'New York, Woolworth Building'.

He noticed their trunks weren't there, and Sirius commented, seeing his confusion, "They need to be sent to New York ahead of us, since they need to be checked for contraband before being allowed to leave MACUSA."

Harry couldn't help but satiate his curiosity, "What contraband?"

It was Thomas who responded, "Magical creatures, which you can blame Newt Scamander for, dark artifacts, and anything agricultural, MACUSA is very particular about their growing methods, and don't want anyone else getting the information." Satisfied, Harry went over to the check station and placed his trunk on the platform, it flashed a blue light and disappeared. Once done, he went back over to join Sirius and Thomas and waited for their turn to floo. After confirming their identities, they stepped into the green flames. Emerging from the fireplace, they were in an even larger space than the other, he heard an announcement from somewhere above "Welcome to the Woolworth Building, please be sure to check with the Department of Transportation for portkey times. If your luggage has not arrived, or are waiting to depart, please meet with a representative from the Department of Confiscated Items. We thank you for your patience, and hope you have safe travels." There were even more witches and wizards in this area of the MACUSA headquarters, and Harry had a hard time navigating through the crowd towards the international portkey hub. He had to stick directly behind Thomas and Sirius as they cut a path through the busy area. When they reached the station, they found two Aurors waiting for them. One was in the blue robes of the MACUSA Aurors, and the other in the red of the British Aurors. Harry was immediately clued in to the British Auror, it was a tall man of African descent, his eyes radiated power and he struck and imposing figure. What surprised him was Sirius who had walked up to him and pulled him into a hug.

"Shack! Lovely to see you!" the man smiled and reciprocated, "Sirius, good to see you weren't guilty after all, it was hard to accept at first."

Sirius pulled back and gestured Thomas and Harry forward. "Shack let me introduce you to my cousins Thomas and Harrison Black. Boys this is Kingsley Shacklebolt. He was an Auror with me during the first war, and we were in the academy together."

Kingsley shook both their hands, "A pleasure, it's good to see Sirius won't be alone."

Harry let go of his hand and smiled, "Glad we have a friendly face to greet us before jolly Ol' England."

Kingsley rolled his eyes at the fake accent Harry used at the end of his sentence, "Indeed," he said drily, "now then, because Sirius was a criminal up until recently, we need to head over to headquarters to get everything cleared up, and you require an Auror escort to get there. Now let us be off, lovely talking to you Rodgers." He bade the MACUSA Auror farewell and led the three Blacks to their designated portkey room. Their luggage was waiting for them in the room, along with their portkey. They grabbed on and vanished from the shores of America.

Harry felt his stomach do a few flips as they landed, when he finally looked around, he noticed another Auror waiting for them. He didn't have his wand out, but his stance screamed 'looking for trouble'. Kingsley walked up to the man, whispered into his ear and the man nodded, leaving the room.

The tall Auror turned to them, "Now, let us head over to Madam Bones' office, she wants to finalize your paperwork and ratify your lordship Mr. Black." His godfather agreed, and the three followed the man out. They had walked out into a larger area, that reminded Harry of a No-Maj airport, his thoughts were affirmed when Kingsley began talking.

"This is the Department of Magical Transportation's main travel hub, all magical portkeys come in to this area, customs and such are located just beyond here. You'd normally have to go through that but in your case, you've been cleared through already, so shall we?" They walked through the doors he'd indicated earlier, and there were a few wizards and witches in line waiting to speak to an official dressed in a grey uniform. Kingsley nodded at one of the red robed Aurors watching over the line and led them through a side gate. The four wizards made their way through the hallways, passing various people carrying luggage, and other ministry officials. They passed a few offices, one named 'Floo Regulations' another read 'Portkey Applications'. They walked up to some elevators and Harry noticed some paper airplanes flying by.

When he voiced it to Kingsley, the man laughed, "Those are Ministry Memos. We used to use owls, but the number of droppings became too hard for facilities to keep up with. Therefore, we came up with these charmed parchments."

The elevator in front of them opened, and Kingsley gestured for them to come in. They all piled in, and the operator greeted Kingsley, "Evening Shack, what keeps you here?"

The Auror returned the greeting, "I'm escorting Mr. Black and his family members here to the DMLE to finish up his exoneration paperwork." The man looked over and paled at seeing Sirius.

"I see…" he said, "very well, level two here we come." He pressed a button, and Harry saw handles pop down from above. He grabbed on right when the elevator lurched backwards and began moving upwards. They stopped at level two, which the overhead announced as the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. They stepped out into a busy corridor, with lots of witches and wizards moving around the various offices.

"This is the DMLE," Kingsley announced, who motioned to the doors around them as they walked. "This contains several sub-departments, not limited to the Improper Use of Magic Office, which handle underage sorcery and Statute violations, Wizengamot Administration, the Registration Department, for Animagus forms to permits. After that is the Hit Wizards, and the MLEP, or Magical Law Enforcement Patrol." They walked up to two sets of double doors on either side, one of which an older red-haired man was leaving.

"Ah, Kingsley, good evening, Still here? I would've thought you'd gone home, it being Friday and all."

Kingsley greeted the other man, "Heading home Arthur? I still have some work to do, I'm escorting these three to Madam Bones." He gestured to them, "Sirius Black, who you already know, and two of his American cousins, Thomas, who is joining our Auror Academy through our transfer program, and Harrison, who's joining Hogwarts' students this year. Boys, this is Arthur Weasley, Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, and a friend."

Arthur shook the two younger men's hands and pulled Sirius into a hug, "Sirius, I was so happy to hear that you'd been exonerated! Molly and I had protested when they'd announced you'd sold out the Potters to You-Know-Who."

Sirius reciprocated the hug and smiled, "It makes me feel better knowing that some didn't think me a criminal. It's good to see you Arthur."

The man nodded and stepped back, "Molly will insist you visit for dinner sometime soon."

Sirius smiled and nodded, "We'll be sure to accept when the invitation comes in, but we must get going. We have a lot to do, and we'll be feeling tired once our bodies catch up to the time zone."

Arthur chuckled, "Of course! I'll let you go, expect a letter from Molly soon." They bade the man goodbye and followed Kingsley to the left. They walked through the doors into what looked like a classic office. Cubicles lined the room, and there was lots of chatter and movement of various mages.

"Welcome to the Auror office, this is where the Head of the DMLE has their office, let us go there now."

Thomas spoke up, "Can you point me towards Auror Robards's office? He is my point man for my transfer."

Kingsley gestured down the room, "Of course, his office is two doors down next to Rufus Scrimgeour's office." Thomas bade them farewell and headed to the pointed-out office, and the three remaining went to the first office. The door read 'Amelia Bones: Director', Kingsley knocked, and a crisp "Enter!" came from within. They entered, Kingsley stayed by the door, while the two of them approached the desk. Harry took in the office space around him, a single desk situated in the middle of the room, two chairs placed in front of it, bookshelves lined the walls, and a few pictures hung from the walls as well. He then looked at the desk, it was large, and covered in parchment, along with a few personal effects. His eyes finally travelled up to the occupant of the chair behind the desk, the woman was slightly older than Sirius, with a monocle in one eye, her auburn hair pulled up into a bun. This was Amelia Bones, director of the DMLE and a very formidable witch in her own right.

She stood to greet them, "Sirius Black, I never thought I'd see you come in here again, unless you were in irons."

Sirius cheekily replied, "Good to see your sense of humor never left Bonesey! I heard you were going to finish off my exoneration papers?" He sat languidly down in one of the chairs, Harry following suit into the other.

Bones smiled at his godfather, and replied, "Your sense of humor is still intact after all these years as well I see." She shuffled some papers out of the way and pulled a stack out of her desk. "Now, after the confirmation by previously dead Peter Pettigrew of the events following October 31st, 1981, you, Sirius Black, the originally believed secret keeper, had supposedly betrayed the Potters to You-Know-Who. When confronted that night by Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid, you fled the scene, and have not been spotted since. Dumbledore came forward after the fact and stated that when he set up the Fidelius on the Potter's home. You were the secret keeper correct?"

Sirius nodded, "That is right, but what wasn't known at the time was Lily, being a Charms Mistress herself, re-did the charm after I suggested that we switch over to Peter Pettigrew due to my job as an Auror, but also because I was the best friend of the Potters. We wanted to keep them as safe as possible, and thought that by removing myself from the equation, they'd be safer." He put his head in his hands, his voice muffled when he continued. "I... never thought Peter would betray us. Someone we considered a brother, turning on us like that." Harry could tell this was hard for Sirius to talk about, and so he wrapped an arm around his godfather's shoulders. The man turned and gave Harry a watery smile. "Thank you, Harry, I appreciate it, I really do."

Smiling Harry hugged him again, "You're welcome Sirius. Do you want me to stay?" his godfather shook his head, "No, you've heard this all before, Amelia, could you trouble Nymphadora Tonks to come get to know Harry?"

The woman nodded, "Of course, Shack summon Auror Tonks for us." The man nodded and summoned a charmed parchment, wrote a quick message and let it out into the room beyond. After a couple minutes, there was a knock and a pink-haired woman poked her head in,

"Wotcher, you wanted to see me boss?" Bones motioned for her to enter, and like Kingsley she shut the door behind her and stood by the door, in a relaxed attention position. She was dressed almost like a police detective from those cop shows Harry had seen, a collared white shirt, with a waistcoat, black leather pants, and combat boots. Harry had to admit, she was extremely hot looking.

"Auror Tonks, this is your uncle Sirius Black and his nephew Harrison from America. Mr. Black here is finalizing his exoneration, and his nephew isn't needed for this bureaucracy, so if you'd be so kind as to chaperone him around the office while he waits?"

The woman saluted, "No problem Boss Lady. I'll make sure he stays out of trouble."

Harry felt indignation shoot through him, "Excuse me Nymphadora, but I don't need a babysitter, I just want someone to show me around, since you're family and all." The woman's hair turned from pink to angry red.

"Don't call me Nymphadora!" She shouted at him, but Harry was too distracted by her drastic hair change, "Woah, how did you do that? That's so cool!" The Auror was immediately on the backfoot, her anger forgotten.

"I'm a Metamorphagus, I can change my appearance at will, watch." She shifted her face into Harry's and gave herself the same hair and eyes. A much more feminine Harry was staring back at him. Harry was quite uncomfortable, mainly because he's looking at himself with breasts, which was weird to him. "Pretty neat huh?" she asked, changing back to herself. "Just so we're clear, call me Tonks okay?" Agreeing, Harry followed her out of Madam Bones' office. The woman led him over to her cubicle, where she put away some paperwork she had out, before grabbing the red outer cloak of her uniform. She fastened it and motioned him to follow. As they were passing a set of doors, they opened and an older man exited, Thomas trailing behind him. He looked like he had just gone on a long run, sweat had his hair plastered to his forehead, and he was breathing heavily. The smile on his face relayed how he felt though.

The older man stopped and greeted them, "Auror Tonks, let me introduce our new Trainee, Thomas Black from MACUSA. He'll be in our academy program for the next few years, and I'd like him to spend his field work shadowing you and Shacklebolt."

Tonks looked surprised, "Really? I'd be honored sir; Shack is a good mentor."

The man nodded, "That's the idea, you were Moody's last protégé, and I'd rather you work with him than Dawlish or Williamson, they are a bit too… traditionalist to deal with an exchange trainee."

Shrugging Tonks agreed, "Sure, thing Robards, I'll inform Shack."

"No need Tonks, I'll see him in a bit, see you on Monday." The man bid them farewell and headed back towards his office, Harry turned and looked at Thomas, "Rough interview?"

His cousin laughed, "You have no idea Harry, but I passed, and Robards says I'm satisfactory enough to transfer."

Harry clapped him on the back, "Congrats Thomas, glad that you got in. In case you didn't know yet, this is Tonks, a distant relative of mine and Sirius's."

The two of them shook hands and Thomas looked at her, "Well, hello there beautiful, what brought an angel to my presence on this faithful day?" Tonks flushed, her hair and cheeks turning red.

"I… uh…" she stuttered out, Harry was just as surprised, Thomas had never been like this to any other girls while at school, nor had he been this smooth ever.

Thomas continued, "Well then I guess we'll never know, I do hope I get to see more of you, and judging by what Robards said, I'll see you quite a bit beautiful." He winked and began walking away "I have to clean myself up, I'll see you later Harry, Beautiful." Harry and a red Tonks stood there just watching him walk away, Harry in shock, and when he looked over at Tonks, her eyes were glued onto Thomas's ass.

Snapping his fingers in front of her Harry called out, "Hey Tonks, you in there?" There was no response. "Nymphadora you okay?"

That got a reaction, she turned and narrowed her eyes at him, "What did you say?"

Harry smiled cheekily and kept walking, "Nothing, where to now?"

The girl shook her head, exasperated, "We're going to go get some food, I'm hungry, and I'm missing dinner at home because of you." She led him out of the main office area and towards a door that was tucked into the corner, Harry didn't see it earlier because it is right out of the field of view when entering their space. Tonks opened the door, and Harry was greeted by a sight of what looked like an office breakroom. There were several tables and chairs scattered throughout, there was a small fountain that had water coming out of spigots, and a table in the corner with food laid out buffet style.

"What is this?" Harry asked, looking around.

"This my young friend is our breakroom. Aurors can come here to eat throughout the day, and the overnight staff can access it as well. There must always be a squad on duty, and so there needs to be a space for them, and so we have this set up, with food being constantly replenished." She walked over and grabbed a plate, "Feel free to get some, I doubt you've had much before this." Harry's stomach growled in response and she laughed at him. Harry grabbed a plate and walked over.

When his eyes fell onto the food laid out, he asked "What is all this?" Tonks smiled and patted him on the shoulder,

"I forgot you Americans have different food than we do. Here let me show you." She then began pointing out the assorted foods that were laid out. "You have your Yorkshire Puddings, they are those puffy looking pastries, delicious and light. Next to them you have our meats. We have roast beef, chicken, and pork. I highly recommend trying the gravy that is made along with them. We have some Cottage Pie, which is ground beef, celery, carrots, onions, and peas. Its then covered in mashed potatoes, it's quite good. We have some Bubble and Squeak too, and that is one of my favorites. It's a bunch of fried vegetables mixed together, and the elves here add bacon into it which is amazing." She piled a healthy amount onto her plate. "If you're feeling adventurous, we have some steak and kidney pie, which sounds exactly as it sounds, I personally don't like it but Dad swears it's amazing."

Harry pulled a face, but grabbed some of the pie, and other assorted items, and sat down next to Tonks. She wasn't wrong the food was delicious; he especially enjoyed the cottage pie. After they were finished eating, Harry was feeling sluggish, the hours catching up, combined with the rich food made him very drowsy, and he succumbed to Morpheus. Sirius and Thomas found them sometime later, Tonks was flicking bread chunks at Harry, who would twitch occasionally when the chunks would hit his face. She noticed the two of them and smiled.

"He's been out of only a bit, but he's been fine." Sirius laughed and snatched a piece of the bread left on Harry's plate.

He took a bite and sat down, "It's fine, we've jumped over eight hours from home, so I expected him to crash eventually, Thomas and I haven't yet because we took some pepper-up to keep us going until we get to my place." He grabbed Harry and hefted him onto his back, "We better get going so we can crash for the night, you tell your mum and dad to join us in the morning at my hideaway, she'll know where it is." Tonks agreed, and Sirius carried the sleeping Harry out of the room, Thomas lingered for a few seconds, watching her.

Tonks looked at him and raised an eyebrow, "Got something to say?"

Thomas grinned, "Yeah Beautiful, I'll see you Monday." He turned around and left, Tonks couldn't help but watch his ass again.

"Fuck he's fit," she muttered to herself.

Thomas caught up to Sirius at the lift, and they walked into the empty one that arrived. They pushed the button for the Atrium and held on. They arrived quickly and made their way to the public floo. Sirius had Thomas activate the floo and whispered "Padfoot's Retreat". He stepped through with Thomas behind. They emerged into a cozy cottage living area, the floor covered in a soft carpeting, with a couch and two chairs tastefully placed around a coffee table.

"Where are we Sirius?" Thomas asked, looking around as Sirius laid Harry down onto the couch.

Sirius turned around and smiled, "This, Thomas, is Padfoot's Retreat. This is where I hid out during the final days of the first war against Voldemort. Now, we'll be staying here while in England, because not only is it the right size, but it is under the Fidelius as well, with Andromeda as the keeper." He looked around, "I have no desire to return to Grimmauld Place which is where I grew up. There are three bedrooms here, I get the master, you can have the grey room, and Harry can have the green room." Thomas followed Sirius who led him down the hall past the kitchen area.

"Why the colors?"

Sirius smiled sadly, "They were how we indicated which room was which. James had the green room, due to his obsession with Lily's green eyes, and Remus had the grey room because of his… problem."

Thomas looked at Sirius, "Problem? What kind of problem?"

Sirius sighed, "Remus, or Moony as we called him, is a werewolf, he was bitten as a kid, and had to grow up dealing with this affliction. He began to show grey after Hogwarts, and so we named it the grey room." Not wanting to continue Sirius's reminiscing, Thomas bade him a goodnight, and headed into the room, his trunk following. Sirius continued to the next room and laid Harry down onto the bed, and conjured a blanket over him, not wanting him to get cold. He then went and collected Harry's trunk from the den and placed it by his bed. He headed over to his own room and got ready for bed. Once he was done, he collapsed on top, and passed out.

A/N: The Weasley's will have a significant role in this story, but not in the way you think, and I think that I did a good job trying something different with Ron. You'll see how that goes soon! I spent a LOT of time making sure that the ministry is canonically correct. I researched the actual departments, what levels they were on, and even added just a few things to make it more expansive, such as the travel hub and such. All the food I mentioned are actual dishes that are traditionally English. I did that on purpose, because magical Britain is very anti-foreign things, hence they eat British cuisine all the time at the Ministry. The MLEP is what you'd consider your everyday policemen, the Aurors are more like detectives and SWAT personnel. Hit-Wizards are like the National Guard, and such, more militant, and get away with more since they aren't cops.

Look forward to Chapter 6 coming out the first week of April! And as always, review! I'll try my hardest to reply to PM's and reviews, but I am balancing school and work alongside this.

Cheers,
