EPISODE HEAT PROLOGUE.

Chapter 1

(? POV)

Fast flash through the night, speeding and running through the woods.

Paws are pounding against the ground as the sound of earth quivers beneath its feet. It stops over the cliffs and watches over a town called Smallville.

Golden eyes glared over them.

"SCREECHING RAWR!"

(Clark POV)

I was getting ready for school as I do every day of my life, after what happened from that terrible event, twisters, and me ditching Chole to save Lana.

I felt terrible for that.

I walked down the stairs and saw my parents.

"Good morning." I greeted them.

Mom kissed my cheek, and I sat down for breakfast.

"Morning, son, another day for a heatwave." Dad greeted me, and I saw the newspaper of strange events of a big cat roaming in town.

In bold words, "DEMON PANTHER ON THE LOOSE!"

I'm not sure what to believe, but few witnesses and almost victims that this so-called demon panther attacked.

Though, it could be a cat that was affected by a meteor.

No doubt Chole would be involved in this story.

I'm not sure if she would want to speak to me or anything. I would like us to be friends and everything.

"Clark, is something the matter?" My dad continuously senses my hesitations, so I decided to change my truth.

"Yeah, actually, the whole demon panther is just a wild animal escape from a zoo, right?" I questioned dad about the newspaper.

Mom and dad looked at the newspaper front page, then he just shrugged it off, "Well, it could be, but then again, they properly wanted to keep this hush up since it may be stolen from his natural habitat."

Mom looked back at the clock and announced, "Oh, Clark, get going for school." She packed my lunch, and I was out the door.

I super-speed through the streets until I reach school.

I wanted to talk to Chole about my ditching the dance, but I didn't know how she felt even though she said she was okay with us being friends.

It's the first day of sophomore year for his friends and me, in the middle of the worst heatwave in Smallville.

Our new biology teacher, Desirée Atkins, announced, "Okay, class! Today we had a new student joining us for Smallville High School."

She smiled charmingly and waved for someone to come in.

I see a young girl wearing bright colors blouse, shirt, and long jeans with shoes. Her curly black hair is pulled back like a tied shawl wrapped and holding her messenger bag.

"Class, this is Suna Bourgeois. She is from New Orleans, Louisiana. Please take a seat." Suna nodded and just took the seat next to mine.

I wasn't sure what this meant, but she is a pretty girl. Lana is the most beautiful girl in the school, but she has a more cultural and elegant air about her compared to her.

Suna looked slightly and smiled shyly at me. She nodded to me in greeting, and I smiled at her to give her a welcome.

I think she will fit in just fine.

Reviews are Welcome.
