This story will feature the translations of the Spanish fic I wrote about Alola, I'm not very good with English, so the grammar and spelling may not be correct. I will be reviewing the story and correcting if I find something wrong, I hope you like it. I await a review from the person who asked me for this translation in "Alola Surprise!" xD
Writing "a girl with brown skin" is that ok? It is a question that came to my mind.
I prefer to write the Japanese names of the characters, but I don't know if they would like it. In the fic in Spanish I have no problems, I await your comments.
"Mao"
A girl with brown skin and green hair turned when she heard her name, she was wearing her pink pajamas and had a mask of the same color in her hair. She was sitting on a large rock outside the Pokemon Center.
"Satoshi?"
"You can not sleep" Asked the trainer, who was also in his pajamas.
The girl gave him a sad smile before answering him. "I just wanted feel the night breeze"
The trainer looked at her with a grimace, he didn't believe her at all and even more so because even in the dark he could see a slight redness in her eyes. She had been crying.
She couldn't help but remember everything that had happened that day when they went to visit Hapu, from one moment to another a mist surrounded them and by the time she realized it she was walking with Pikachu and Torracat through the forest.
He learned from the others that not only he had been to another place, but also Mao along with Lillie, the latter meeting Gladio on the way. When he see at the green-haired girl again, he could see that she was crying and he couldn't ask what happened to her because Suiren hugged her.
Hapu said that Tapu Fini's mist showed you the being you most wanted to see, except for the small detail that should no longer be in this world. That was when he understood why he saw Stoutland, it was the wish of his Torracat's and to be honest, he was glad that his Pokemon met his father again and was even able to teach him a new attack.
Thanks to Lillie he knew that the person he wanted to see was his father, just like Gladio, but he didn't know who her brunette friend wanted to see, adding that since the morning he was behaving too strange like when he ran away of the Pokemon Center when he and Kaki was told about meeting Hapu's grandfather.
"Satoshi?"
When the trainer reacted, he could see that her friend was looking at him a little worried.
"Are you OK" asked the green-haired girl. "It seemed as if you were in a trance"
"I'm fine, I was just thinking about something" he answered to reassure her. "Do you mind if I stay with you?"
The girl shook her head and made room for the trainer to sit down. Both were silent, looking at the sky of Alola, several stars could be seen that night.
"Suiren told me that you too disappeared into the mist" Mao began. "Was there someone you wanted to see?" She was curious to know if his friend had someone in mind.
The trainer shook his head. "We didn't disappear in the fog because of me, but because of Torracat, he wanted to see the Stoutland who was taking care of him"
The girl nodded at what the trainer said, it was a little logical that the boy had no one to see, he was one of those people who openly showed his emotions and had never seen him sad or melancholy except when they had to leave Poipole in his world.
But…
She herself knew that people could hide their emotions within themselves, she herself was proof of this, in front of her friends and family, she always tried to be with a smile so that they would not worry, bbut when she heard about Tapu Fini's mist she was afraid, afraid of meeting his mother again, she didn't have the courage to see her again.
Mao laughed a little at what he was thinking, even with everything he thought in the morning now he had to thank Poni's guardian, if it weren't for her he wouldn't have been able to reconcile with his mother.
"Mao?" Satoshi asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Everything is fine?"
The green-haired girl was slow to respond, but she gave him a smile to calm him down. "I'm fine, it's so-"
"You're crying," the interrupted, looking at her, now, quite worried about the state of her friend.
"Huh?" She passed a hand over her cheek confirming that she was indeed crying, quickly covered it with her forearm. "T-This is strange, b-because I'm crying" she commented between laughs while the tears did not stop coming out.
Satoshi didn't know what to do so he just did the first thing that came to her mind and quickly wrapped her in a hug.
"Satoshi?"
"Don't worry, if you want to cry, just do it... I'll stay by your side" the trainer said.
Mao could only nod and clung even more to his friend, she did not know if it was because of everything that had happened that day, but she felt protected in the arms of his friend, a warmth that she mostly felt when her parents they hugged.
"I saw my mother in the mist"
Mao was still hugging Satoshi, even when the boy noticed that the green-haired girl had calmed down, he had not let go of her.
"Are you sure you want to talk about it?"
She still in her arms, she nodded at the boy's question. "If it's you, that's fine"
For several minutes she explained to his friend everything that had happened to her mother, from when she captured Bounsweet to when she told him that he hated her in the hospital, something that only Suiren knew.
"When I heard about what Tapu Fini's mist could do, I was scared. I didn't have the courage to see her again, despite everything I told her"
"But... you know? I'm happy because I was able to see her again, I managed to apologize to her and I could feel her warmth once again"
Satoshi could see a big smile on her friend's face upon hearing the last thing she said. He now understood why she ran out of the Pokemon Center in the morning.
"I'm very happy for you, you managed to meet your mother again"
Mao only nodded with a big smile on her face as she settled better on his friend's chest, the truth is that she felt quite comfortable in that place.
"Satoshi... Don't you have someone you'd like to see again?" she finished asking after a few seconds.
Satoshi looked down to see her friend, who was staring at him, at the question she had asked. He thought for a few seconds before answering him.
"Until now I have not seen someone so precious to me leave, my mother is waiting for me in Kanto and from what little I know, the friends I made in each region are on their way to fulfill their dreams"
"Don't you want to see your father?" Mao asked with a little caution, they knew from Satoshi's own mouth that only his mother took care of him.
"I don't know," he replied after a few seconds. "If I'm honest, I have no memories of him so I can't say I miss him or anything like that, I only know from my mom that he went on a trip to work and send money, but he died in an accident"
"I... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked," Mao apologized as he slowly broke the hug.
"It's fine," answered the trainer. "I know I don't have memories of my father, but I don't hate him or anything like that. After all, I know that he loved my mom and that's enough for me," she finished speaking, showing him a big smile.
Mao was a bit embarrassed seeing his smile, he was too close to the boy. They both stared at each other for several seconds, until his friend stood up.
"We should go in, we don't want to worry the others." Having said this, he began to walk.
Mao just stared at him until he started laughing, when his friend was getting up, he could see a blush on his face.
"I think she was not the only one embarrassed… Satoshi"
The trainer turned slowly while he hoped that his blush, which he prayed to heaven that the green-haired girl hadn't noticed, had gone.
"Thanks for everything"
Satoshi couldn't stop looking at her for several seconds. Just at the moment that Mao spoke to him, a slight breeze appeared making the green-haired girl's hair move, adding that to the big and beautiful smile that she was giving him, only one word came to the coach's mind.
Beautiful.
Mao advanced standing next to the trainer and seeing that he did not move, with his finger itched his cheeks a little, making him react.
"Let's go in"
"Su-Sure" the jet answered after a few seconds, he felt how his cheeks burned again.
When they were about to enter the Pokemon Center, the trainer felt something wet on his cheek. Mao had given her a small kiss.
"Thanks for listening Satoshi, good night"
The green-haired girl quickly entered the Pokemon Center, hoping that the trainer wouldn't stop her, she walked and walked until she reached her room where she went to lie down, covering herself with the sheets.
"I-I k-kissed him" she gave a muffled cry with her pillow so as not to pick up her friends. "C-Calm down Mao, t-that was just to thank him for listening to me"
She repeated it in her mind several times to be able to believe it, but each time she did it, she could only see the big smile of the trainer as he hugged her. She again gave another muffled scream uncovering her face a little, she felt like her cheeks were too hot.
"C-Calm down, it's Satoshi we're talking about, he'll forget everything tomorrow" Even though it was she herself who said it, it bothered her a little that it happened.
While Mao hit his pillow as gently as possible, outside the Pokemon Center the trainer was still standing on the spot where the green-haired girl had kissed him with a hand on his cheek.
"She kissed me"
He was still for several seconds until he saw how his Torracat calmly entered the Pokemon Center. He shook his head to clear his mind and went in too, tomorrow he had the test against Hapu and he needed to sleep.
"Maybe after the test I can confirm something"
The day after what happened with Tapu Fini, everyone was gathered watching the fight between Satoshi and Hapu, his friends were quite happy to see how Pikachu managed to beat Mudsdale, his friend had managed to complete the four great tests of Alola.
They all went to celebrate, as this would be their last day on Poni, along with Hapu. All day Mao and Satoshi had not spoken to each other, something that no one had noticed except Hapu, who had been outside the Pokemon Center the night before, being the only witness of what had happened between them.
The next day, the all group said goodbye to Hapu and Nurse Joy who took care of them during their stay in Poni. One by one they said goodbye to the Kahuna, some more emotional than others and with a promise of battle from Hapu and Satoshi, they all took a picture, although Mao did not expect Hapu to push her to stand next to the trainer.
They all started to get on the ship, and before Mao got on, she was pulled by happy who said a couple of things to her, leaving her quite surprised and embarrassed. The ship sets sail while everyone in the stern continued to say goodbye to the Kahuna and the nurse.
When Poni was not longer visible, everyone split up to do their business, when Suiren called Mao she apologized, saying she had something to talk to Satoshi about. She saw him alone with Pikachu leaning on the railing and she slowly walked over to stand next to her.
"Breathe Mao… Sa-Satoshi" Mao began very nervously and with a clear blush on her face.
"Do you want to go out when we get to Melemele?"
"Wh-Do you want…? Huh?" Mao quickly saw the trainer, he was smiling, looking at the sea.
"We can go to the mall or walk through the gardens, something like that. Do you agree?"
Mao blinked several times upon hearing his friend's question, she had not been confused when she heard that the trainer was inviting her out of it.
"Yes, I would like it very much," she answered with a big smile.
Pikachu, who was on his trainer's shoulder, looked surprised at the interaction of the two people, he didn't know when they had become so intimate.
They both leaned on the rail talking about different things and joking, even Mao took off his friend's hat and put it on while they continued laughing. All this was seen by the others who saw them hiding asking themselves the same question as Pikachu.
Since when had they become so close?
End?
