{Hey Guys, Owen here! Gonna keep this short and simple! Sorry for the wait for this one. I decided to take some time off to relax and enjoy myself and my freedom. I wanted to give myself a small hiatus, Away from my favorite apps of the sort. Now that I'm back, I'm ready to get back to work. Hope you will all enjoy this chapter. This one might be the longest chapter I've ever written so buckle yourself and grab the popcorn. You're in for a treat.}

The first thing Sunny noticed when she entered the office was the busy energy. A fluster of paperwork had been stocked in one corner of the room and had collapsed under pressure. Mixed, vibrant colors of dragons clashed against the painted, stone walls as Sunny saw workers starting to pick up the mess. It reminded her of her job at Jade Mountain Academy, because of the chaotic atmosphere and the busy energy it was giving off. Sunny shuddered. Thank the Moons she was now far from there, away from the commotion.

Sunny approached the pile of colorful dragons, which to her astonishment were Rainwings and Leafwings. None of the Dragons seemed to notice her as she tried to help pick up the fallen letters that were scattered across the floor. After a few moments of cleaning up the floor, everyone resumed whatever it was that they were doing, leaving Sunny alone. A peaceful silence settled in the room, changing the atmosphere into a relaxed state. Sunny wasn't sure what she should do as she knew she didn't exactly belong here.

Sky has to be around here somewhere, Sunny thought in exasperation. I guess I should ask someone.

And so she did. Working at a desk where A Leafwing sat, Sunny approaches the Secretary. It was nerve-wracking for her, considering that all the Dragons here were much bigger than her. She never had a problem with anyone being much bigger than her, but considering this was a whole new place for her, she preferred to be safe than sorry. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. It was now or never, it was time for her to face her day with Sky.

"Umm... Excuse me!"

The Leafwing secretary looked up from her paperwork and noticed her, with brow-scale raised.

"Do you know where Sky is? He's been expecting me," Sunny asked. So far, so good.

The Leafwing put down the scroll she was working on and pointed down a makeshift hall. Sunny never noticed it until now, as she was busy calming herself down from the office's busy work. It was just a part of the cavern system, carved by time as if it always has been there. Beyond it, Sky would be there waiting.

"You must be Miss Sunny," The Leafwing said as she resumed her work. "The boss has talked about you non-stop earlier. It was driving me a bit crazy but at least, he has good intentions."

Sunny looked back at the Leafwing with a questioning stare. "H-he did?!"

Without looking up, the Leafwing nodded. "Says he was worried about you. Told us that you seemed tired and wanted to break free from the fancy school you run. I don't think much about it but sounds like you are special to him. But I couldn't care less about that. Now go, please. Get out of my space."

Sunny didn't waste any time getting out of the grouchy Leafwing's scales. At least she will be having fun today. She hoped.

Walking into the corridor gave Sunny a lot of time to think. As she passed through murals made from the likes of Dragons and Humans, Sunny couldn't help but admire them. Art had been always one of Sunny's favorite subjects, so it was always pleasing to see new works being made In today's era. None of the pictures stood out for her, but Sunny did notice one particular painting that she did like. It was simply a portrait of Wren and Sky, smiling as they sat behind a violet background. They seemed happy, even if Wren didn't seem like the type of smile. She wore a silky red robe- Well, it looked like some type of robe- but no jewelry. The portrait was amazing, as it was the only one that stood out, due to its impressive size.

They must've made this, in the event they either retire or something happens, Sunny pondered. I guess they would want future generations to know about them. They are technically the first mutual relationship between a Dragon and a Scavenger. And they are heroes, after all, saved Pantala and Pyrrhia. And founded this business.

As Sunny moved past the scented candles, the dusty rugs, and the still paintings, She entered what appeared to be a personal office of some sort.

Well, more like a miniature pet room.

On the walls were painted descriptions of baby animals of all sorts and sizes, each with a different shade of color. Sunny couldn't help but chuckle. One thing that didn't change about Sky was his love of life and animals. Whether it be squirrels, snails, mice, and even bugs, Sky had a huge heart for them. Tanks were surrounding one corner of the room, individually filled with animals of a certain degree.

Sunny couldn't help but admire Sky's collection of pets. Peril was right, he did have a big inventory. All shapes and sizes of Snails were littered carefully in the Snail Bowl. Another had Hamsters, safe and warm with bedding Sky provided. Small fish were swimming happily in one tank, littered with decorative props to hide behind. Sunny couldn't believe how much time Sky had on his hands to help run his mail service and take care of his pet collection. It didn't even feel like an office at all, more or less like a mini-zoo.

"Do you like it?"

Sunny almost jumped out of her scales, but she immediately relaxed at the sight of Sky. He didn't seem too stunned about him spooking her, but she knew he didn't mean it. She found it ironic that he managed to sneak up on her, whenever she needed to talk to someone. Small prop for her size.

Now that she had finally found him, one thing that immediately stood out to Sunny. It had been a couple of years since she had last seen the Skywing, but Sky had changed mentally during their time apart. He still held a bit of his child-like innocence but he had matured quite a bit after his adventures. While he was known for his rambles about pets, Sunny knew he would do anything in his power if it meant protecting what he loved most. In this case, his pet animals and his love of humans.

"Sorry, Sunny! I didn't mean to startle you there," Sky said with a smile. Sunny watched as The gentle Skywing rubbed the back of his head. "Are you okay?"

"I'm alright. Thanks for asking. I didn't see you there."

"I was busy checking out my pets!", Sky exclaimed with a hearty laugh. One thing that Sunny loved about Sky was his positive, child-like, smile. It was contagious, almost as if it were a common cold. It was enough to rival Kinkajou's bubbly personality. Everyone that had met Sky always fell victim to his innocent-like heart and his big grin. He even managed to thaw the heart of the Icewing Queen from what Sunny had heard. And Sunny herself was no exception; She couldn't help but fall victim to his warm personality.

After their little giggle fit, Sky revealed something to Sunny from behind his back. She gasped at the sight. Politely offering them to her, Sunny gratefully accepted the bouquet of Sunflowers. Sunny couldn't believe how Sky managed to get ahold of them, considering they were rare in some parts. She didn't know how Sky knew that Sunflowers were her favorite blossoms. Her guess would be her name, considering that she legit was a ray of sunshine.

"Thank you, Sky! You didn't have to do this for me, but I appreciate it."

"It's what friends do for each other! I want today to be a great day, so I'm going to do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome here! Besides, Wren gave me some advice."

Sky opened his wings and arms for a hug, which Sunny couldn't refuse. With their scales meeting and colors clashing, Sunny couldn't help but to pity Sky's physique as they embraced. Peril had explained why Sky was much different than normal Skywings and that was because he was Malnourished since birth. While they developed in their shared eggshell, Peril absorbed Sky's fire and the outcome resulted in how they were today; Peril with her Firescales and Sky with his scrawny frame, his pale orange scales, and his inability to breathe fire. It was rather a sad case, but Sky didn't seem to mind what Fate bestowed upon him.

At least, she found a Skywing that wasn't anything like Kestrel. Sky wasn't the biggest, strongest, or meanest Skywing Sunny had met but he had the biggest heart any Skywing couldn't have. That was what made Sky special.

Pulling apart from the hug, Sky smiled at Sunny. "How was your trip, here?"

"It was nice actually. Rested up at Delta. Got a good night's sleep there too."

"Oh, goodie! I was worried that you would be too tired. Thank my snails you aren't! Are you ready?"

Sunny gave Sky a confused expression. "Ready?"

Sky nodded. "Yep! We gotta get your date started! Speaking of which-"

Sunny watched as the chipper Skywing flew off to one section of the room. Sky disappeared behind what seemed like a closet or some sort of room attachment, leaving Sunny in wonder. This left her by herself for a moment, but Sky quickly returned. Slung around his neck was a leather satchel, with the Dragon Express insignia engraved onto the opening flap.

Sky must've sensed her confusion because he quickly pointed to his bag. "I bought a couple of items that we could use. Ooo, think of it as a surprise!! Whenever I'm about to pull something out you gotta guess! Would that be fun?!"

Sky's suggestion did seem fun... but she wasn't sure how it would turn out. Then again, Fatespeaker's words of advice rang in her head. Dates like these were unpredictable, but if she were to take a chance she might like it.

Well, there was only one way to find out.

"Oh, all right! I'm game!", Sunny exclaimed vibrantly.

"Yippie!", Sky said happily. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get this day started!"

Sky quickly rushed to his desk, and Sunny couldn't help but follow. On his desk was a personal map of Pyrrhia. At first, it didn't seem much but just a plain copy until she noticed how accurately detailed it was. She didn't know why or how a Map like this got into Sky's possession. She quickly found her answer by noticing the signature of Wren at the bottom right corner.

Wren made a map like this?! When did she have the time to play Cartographer? This is amazing!

"I remember helping Wren make this," Sky explained as he rolled the map. "Back when we were younger and all we had was each other. She started to create this for some reason. I would fly all around the world, exploring while she surveyed. Those were the days. She doesn't use the original anymore, so she gave me this one. I never thought I would use it here."

"I gotta say, Wren would make a tremendous artist!"

Sky chuckled. "I'll be sure to tell her that when she returns" He stopped for a moment and Sunny noticed a troublesome look on his face.

Something is up between the two..., Sunny quickly noted.

Alas, she didn't have the time to ask what was wrong with Sky as he had somehow quickly washed the crestfallen look upon his face. Sky already had his cheery grin as he placed his map back into his bay. He turned to look at her.

There was no need for words, but Sunny knew she would have to do whatever it takes to see what was going on between Wren and Sky. She knew there was more going on behind Sky's facade of a smile. Sunny knew that if Sky kept hiding this, it would eventually eat at him, and she knew how that felt.

But now was not the right time. Sky wanted to make sure today was her day of peace and she knew he wanted to make it a blast for her. For now, she would just have to play along.

For now.

It was still a morning-evening by the time Sunny reached The Kingdom Of Ice. This was much of a surprise to Sunny, as she didn't expect Sky to lead her into the snowy province. She didn't remember the last time she had been to the Ice Kingdom. The closest she got to was during The War of The Sandwing Succession. Back then, they were helping Glory search for the missing Rainwings (mainly Mangrove who at the time wanted nothing more but to find his love) but even then, the closest she had ever got was to the rocky cliffs that border the two kingdoms. It was understandable that Sunny and The Destiny Winglet didn't contemplate that they visited Snowfall's lands and that what they were at was just a part of the Sandwing Kingdom.

Nonetheless, Sunny had always pondered what the Icewing Kingdom was like. Only a few dragons outside of the Kingdoms had ever made it into the Arctic landscape and those who did were either The Dragon Express meeting outside the border or simply seeking an audience with the Queen. The only person she did knew about The Ice Kingdom was none other than Winter, a former student, but he wasn't very... social. Even today, It was still hard to thaw her former student out. She had to give that achievement to Qibli and Kinkajou; Qibli valued his friendship with His Clawmate, even if they once held a grudge against one another for a certain time. As for Kinkajou, the Rainwing was a match made in heaven for Winter.

But today, she was about to learn something new about her Skywing friend. Something that she never expected out of him.

As the two landed in the slushy permafrost, Sky gave out a quick shiver and let out a gasp. Sunny realized it must be cold for him, considering he didn't have any warm scales. But he didn't seem to be bothered about it. Rather, Sky was taking it all in stride and that was enough to impress Sunny. Although, she did remind herself of the two of them shouldn't stay long for their sake. Even she knew her scales wouldn't be enough to warm her. Peril's scales would be a benefit here.

"Ah, The Ice Kingdom! The Land Of Snow and Frost! A land so fiercely cold, yet so beautiful! Especially the baby animals here! We meet again, Pyrrhia!" Sky shouted.

"It's amazing how the guards allowed us through," Sunny said while admiring the scenery. It was exactly like everyone had said in the Scrolls. Peaceful, silent snow littered everything and frosted the world pure white. Despite the cold temperature, However, it was still a wonderful sight to behold. "I wonder why they allowed us through."

"I think I may have an explanation for that!", Sky said, while he tried his best to mimic what she could assume was Starflight. Sky wasn't exactly tone-perfect when it came to speech, likely due to his time around Wren.

Sunny could help but giggle. "Ok, spill the lizards!"

"I guess the reason why we are allowed through is because of our reputations," Sky began, as he started to make a tiny snowball in his hands. "With you being a Founder Of Jade Mountain Academy and with me being the Skywing Representative of Pantala, It would only make sense that the Icewings gotta let us in."

Sunny nodded in agreement. That did seem like a valid explanation. She never imagined their status as former heroes would be the case, considering the Icewings weren't the social bunch.

It was then Sunny noticed what Sky was doing. Earlier, Sky was making a tiny snowball in his hands. She didn't understand what he was doing with it until she noticed the snowball had quadrupled in size. And she now knew how. Sky was now rolling the tiny ball of soft ice around on the ground, which was now almost the size of her.

"What are you going to do with that snowball, Sky?", Sunny asked with interest.

Sky only answered with a snicker. "Make yourself a ball and come join me. You'll find out soon enough!"

Sunny wasn't sure why or how, but Sky's invitation sounded intriguing. Normally, she would probably say no to cold as she wasn't a big fan, but now Sky was doing something with it, it only made her curious to see what he was going at.

She immediately rolled up a ball of snow from the ground and began to roll it out onto the ground, joining Sky in the fun. As the ball wheeled around the ground, the packed snow grew in size. The bigger the ball got, so did the more difficult it was. Sunny's size wasn't the best when it came to hauling bigger objects.

Sky must've sensed her trouble. "If you're having troubles with rolling the ball, try using your wings."

Taking his advice, Sunny began to levitate herself off the ground and resumed her session with the snow. After a few moments, Sky told her that the "Body" was done and she stopped to look at him, with confusion.

It was then Sky rolled his giant ball of snow over and Sunny sat down beside him to evaluate his work. She didn't know what was going on in Sky's head, as all she saw were two balls of packed snow, sitting beside each other. The only difference was that her snowball seemed minuscule. Sky's snowball was a bit bigger than hers, almost the same size as his.

"Doesn't seem like much," Sky explained. "But now, we're going to add the details. This is the fun part!"

Before Sunny could answer, Sky rushed to his ball and began to sculpt his ball. Sunny didn't know what she should do, so she decided to sit back and watch the Master at work. She had to admit, that the start of this date was fun.

After a few moments of Sky humming a tune about snails, crabs, turtles, and all sorts of animals he considered cute, he stood back and revealed his masterpiece. Sunny couldn't believe what she was looking at.

Outlined with twigs, pebbles, and whatever nature provided, Sunny stood in astonishment at the sculpted dragon Sky had made. She had seen statues made entirely out of ice but this was something new, something novel. It was simply a "Snowwing" Sky called it and it made sense. While the body was the balls of snow he rolled up, Sky had used the surrounded snow to mold the extra features around the body; A neck, a headpiece, and a pair of small wings were attracted to it. Pebbles formed the facial features while sticks outlined the wings and the bone. Sunny had to admit, it was really cute to look at. It was also even more adorable when she realized that Sky had made it.

"Well," Sky said with a grin. "Wanna make yours?"

Sky didn't need an answer from her. Immediately matching his grin, Sunny couldn't help herself but start to work on her Snowwing, filled with excitement. Sky laughed at the sight and together, he taught her how to form the wings and the tail. A few moments later, Sunny's Snowwing was standing right beside Sky's Snowwing. They each matched with a perfect, pebble smile.

She sat back to admire her handiwork. She couldn't help but feel like a dragonet again. Sunny never knew a place so cold could be used to make something utterly spectacular.

"Amazing isn't it?", Sky exclaimed brightly. "I remember Wren telling me all about how to make Snowmen whenever we stopped to rest here. That's where she got the idea to make a SnowWing!"

Sunny looked right at Sky's beaming face. The dragonethood remembrance was enough for her to make her scales shine brightly. She remembered those days. Back when they were held captives in the caverns under the Sky Kingdom. Sunny fondly remembered playing with her friends and how she loved being adored by her friends; Clay being the eldest and making sure they each were alright. Tsunami, being the second-in-command, was settling everyone straight. Glory, playing the pessimistic, would constantly say her sarcastic remarks to her and the others until Clay or Tsunami would call out her bluff. And Starflight would help everyone with their studies. Those were the days...

And now... We're all going our separate ways. Clay and Peril want to be together and have a family. Tsunami wants Riptide to come back and be her king. Glory has more work to do, considering she was now in a long-distance relationship with Deathbringer. And no doubt Starflight and Fatespeaker will help him rebuild the Nightwing Kingdom...

She suddenly felt light-headed. Almost as if her emotions wanted to spill out. No, not right now! She couldn't. She refused to cry out her emotions. Not around Sky.

The next thing Sunny knew was remarkable. She didn't know whether she had to thank fate or luck, but It seemed like they had saved her scales. Unbeknownst to Sky or Sunny, a group of Icewing dragonets launched a surprise attack from underneath the snow near them. At first, Sunny tensed up as she had expected this was an enemy attack but to her bewilderment, The Icewings dragonets were targeting Sky. And were assaulting him by tickling him.

They were about five Dragonets in total. Only three in total seemed to be around five moons old, while the last two were three, from what Sunny guessed. They didn't seem bothered by the fact that an unusual Sandwing was standing right in front of them, as they were focused on tackling Sky.

"O-OH! STOP!!! HAHAHA!!!", Sky roared in laughter. "YOU GUYS WIN!! I SUBMITTED!!!"

"We have you now!!", one Icewing squealed. "As the leader of this proud Icewing expedition, It should be me who shall earn the glory!"

"Hey!! I helped!! I was the one that spotted Sky in the first place!"

"Back off, Brumal! I was the one that suggested we should hide in the snow and get close to surprise Sky!"

It was then an argument was beginning to happen and Sunny didn't know what to do. She knew she had to do something. Even though she had dealt with many squabbling dragons before, she wasn't Clay. Clay had a way with words that seemed to help calm everyone down, due to his Bigwings presence. Besides, these dragonets were younger, unlike the older ones that were sent to the Academy.

However, Sky seemed to understand the dilemma and knew exactly what to do.

"Whoa!!! Hey there!! I have an idea!!", Sky chimed in. All of the Icewing dragonets turned their heads towards Sky with their emotionless expressions.

"Why don't we all do something else? I mean, you all worked together to tickle me! That right goes to all of you because you worked together! A feat you all should take pride in!"

The Icewings dragonets all seemed somewhat comfortable with this suggestion, so they all stopped fighting and turned to Sky with curiosity. Sunny was relieved that the fighting had stopped before it escalated into something even uglier. Even better, Sky managed to help calm the dragonets down. Sunny had seen Clay calm dragonets down before but Sky's child-like nature saved the trouble of fighting. The Skywing didn't seem to mind being at the mercy of the Icewings. Sunny could probably guess that was because of Sky's child-like self.

Now that she mentioned it, Sunny wasn't sure whether what Sky did was mature or not. She knew that Sky was now considered a grown-up dragon by some, but his upbringing did leave him with an innocence pure as a dragonet. She wasn't sure how she would've dealt with the Icewings dragonets, now that she thought about it. She was robbed of her youth the moment she hatched from her egg, so she grew up somewhat ignorant of a perfect dragonethood. If one could call it that.

It was then Sunny had a startling revelation. Bringing the topic on hand, Sky himself was cheated out of fate as well. Sunny didn't know much about the details, but she did know that Sky's origins were somewhat clouded in mystery. Peril didn't say much whenever the topic was on hand, as she reasoned it was personal. Sunny could understand that but she always wondered about it.

And judging by how Sky was playing with the Icewing dragonets, it was made clear. Sky was cheated out of fate as well.

Sky grew up without the love of a mother, nor did he ever know the identity of a father. Not to mention that he grew up alone. Sure he had Wren and Sunny know how close the two were. But Sky didn't have any friends who were dragons, primarily any Skywings. On one talon, Sunny was glad that he never did get the chance to know them. If anything under the captivity of Kestrel and Ex-Queen Scarlet had taught her, it was that Skywings were probably the most vicious dragons by nature. Sky would've never survived in his tribe, especially under the rule of Scarlet. But on the other talon, Sky grew up not knowing much about anything dragon-lore-wise. At least he had Peril in his life. And Wren.

Sunny could hear the gleeful banner of the Icewings sprawl far away from her, as she fazed out of her mental space. Sky must've riled them up excitingly if they managed to tackle him away from her. Sunny couldn't help but giggle. Sunny couldn't help but imagine what Sky would be like if he ever became a father. He would nail the role. If he could deal with the dragonets, he would make a great dad.

Sunny decided that it was time for her to join in on the fun. That was what she was here for, right?! She wasn't going to let Sky have all the entertainment! No way! But as she began to trek towards the shrieking sounds of white, scaly, tails, Sunny heard a Psst nearby.

"Excuse me? Are you Sunny?"

Sunny whipped around and her eyes gazed upon the sight of magnificent itself. Sunny almost had to stop herself from gasping. She couldn't believe her eyes.

Standing before her was none other than Queen Snowfall, the leader of the Ice Kingdom. The sunlight painted her a silver outline, making her appearance more regale. Her majestic beauty was truly a sight to behold, as she was adorned with the latest accessories a queen could have. Icewings were typically stereotyped as cold, cruel, and emotionless beings, which was somewhat true, but Sunny could tell there wasn't any hint of malice in Snowfall's icy-glass eyes. Frankly, Sunny didn't know what to think of her.

But she did know what to do.

Immediately, Sunny dropped to a bow before her appearance. This was somewhat second to her, despite her mother being the Sandwing Queen, but if her adventures have taught her anything, it was that you do want to be on the bad side of a Queen. Never. At least her mother or her sisters would never treat her like a decoration. She was thankful for that.

"Queen Snowfall, It is an honor to be in your presence. I apologize for entering your territory! I promise that-"

"Sunny, Sunny!" Snowfall raised her hands. A deadpanned smile was plastered on her face. "It's ok. Please don't worry about it," said Snowfall. "Don't worry yourself. You're a friend here!! Sky is a dear friend of mine. He's always welcomed here in the Kingdom, but he asked for permission to invite you here."

"He did?", Sunny asked in surprise. Sunny couldn't believe it. Sunny had heard once that Sky was friends with Snowfall, but she considered it a false rumor or something out of a story. Never had she expected this out of Sky.

Well, now I realize not to underestimate Sky.

Snowfall smiled at the sight of Sunny. "I heard from my guards that Sky was in the Kingdom. I immediately flew out of my castle to see him again! I hope I am not intruding on anything between the two of you," The Queen said, chuckling. "It seems like you're having fun with him!"

Sunny could feel her face warm up immediately. It was getting rather embarrassing for her to think that Sky and Sunny were getting personally close.

But before Sunny could answer, Queen Snowfall spoke out what Sunny guessed was a cough. "My apologies, I must've realized I have said something rather crude. I did not wish my remark to be taken in ill-will. It's just that I would never think you would be Sky's girlfriend!"

SKY'S GIRLFRIEND?! WHAT?!

"G-GIRLFRIEND?!", Sunny exclaimed, appallingly. "Did Sky say that?! I'm sure this is all just a big misunderstanding, that's all!"

Queen Snowfall slanted her eyes upon Sunny. The Icewing flicked her scaly tail and wrapped it around her talons. "You act as if this is a bad thing."

If Sunny had to admit something, it would have been that Sky would be lucky enough to have her as his significant other. It wasn't that she wouldn't mind being Sky's partner; Rather, it was about the fact of how the others would feel about it. Or if she was truly worthy of Sky. Sky was... special. He had this warm, personality and was able to make anyone bubbly inside. Something that Sunny found rather cute about him.

Still, it was too early to say if Sky was interested. Not to mention if she liked Sky truly. But she was still young.

Queen Snowfall smiled at what Sunny could guess was her torture. Why did everyone have to tease her?

"Oh, Sunny...," Snowfall began. "I was only messing with you. Sky told me about you. Said something about how he wanted to give you a day off from work. He noticed that you looked ragged. Or as he put it, "As if a snail was too tired to get out of its shell. Poor Sunny, I hope she's alright."

"He said that?"

Snowfall nodded. "From what the looks of it, he seems like he's rather fond of you. Admires you from afar. He also spoke highly of your accomplishments. He..." Snowfall made a crestfallen look but grinned. "He seems to have some infatuation with you, Sunny."

Sunny looked at the snowy dune that Sky was behind. Across that small glacier was Sky, most likely playing with the Icewing Dragonets. The same Sky who could have a crush on him. She never thought about having a crush, but Sky?

Well, he is a bit adorable. Passionate about the relationship between Humans and Dragons. Plus, he seems to be the caring type, a quality rarely seen in Dragons... I do like that.

"Queen Snowfall...," Sunny began. "I don't want to be rude here, but why were you sad about Sky? Did something happen between the two of you?" Sunny hoped this wasn't the case, as she had already enough to deal with. After all, there was something fishy about how Sky and Wren acted and Sunny aimed to figure it out.

"There's nothing wrong with me!", Snowfall snapped, which caused Sunny to jump in fright. Snowfall must've quickly realized her mistake as she instantly apologized.

"I'm sorry, Sunny. I should've not snapped at you like that. The pressures of being Queen so far haven't been favorable at the moment."

"Queen Snowfall, Your Majesty, the question."

"Oh!," Snowfall said rather abruptly. Sunny noticed how awkward the Icewing was acting. Body language was easy to decipher for the likes of Sunny. "If it's something personal, you don't have to answer, but I won't know what's hurting you if you don't tell me. So you might as well say whatever it is that is on your mind."

Snowfall smiled. "You remind me a bit of my mother. Very well. It's rather embarrassing, but... I once had..." Snowfall stopped and looked away slightly.

"Go on..."

It took a minute for Snowfall to answer. Sunny must've guessed this was something The Queen must've been carrying. Something that she must've been burden with. She could tell from the looks on her face.

"I once held somewhat feelings for Sky."

Sunny nearly gagged. She wasn't sure if she was hearing this right or not.

"You did? How come you didn't tell him?"

"He... didn't understand my feelings at that time. But to be fair, I was young and I wasn't sure how I felt about him. I had a lot on my plate and was still dealing with the pressures of taking the title of Queen. That was when I first encountered Sky."

Snowfall couldn't help but smile. Something about her smile was enough for Sunny to reassure her peaceful state. From what Sunny could guess, Sky must've done something good for the Icy drake. Probably left a good influence.

"He reminded me much about my sister, Mink", Snowfall continued. "That innocence of his matched exactly like her own. It was almost as if he was related to us, in some form. I think Sky had to be the most beautiful dragon I've ever met, first to Kinkajou. I guess that was why he caught my eye. Sky is a real help here in the Ice Kingdom, especially to the Dragonets. They're always hungry for more stories."

"Well, I'm glad he helps you here. It seems like he's a good influence on you."

Snowfall nodded. "If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have peace with The Sca- Er, Humans. Sorry, I'm still getting used to calling them that."

"No worries," Sunny shrugged. "Even I still have trouble getting used to it. But we should focus on what you're going through. So, what seems to be the problem, your Highness?"

Snowfall smiled at her in mutual understanding. "I guess... the problem was my feelings for him. Sky came into my life when I was going through some hardships. He came in and made me realize many things. He reminded me of what I had to do, what I needed to do for the better of others. He had a special place in my heart, even if he doesn't realize how much of an impression he left on me."

The two dragons began their way back to the Icy dune Sky was at. One thing Sunny immediately noticed was the army of smaller SnowWings in front of her own and Sky's Snow statues. She couldn't help but smile at the sight. It reminded her of how much her friends wanted to start families of their own. She could imagine Clay and Peril being here. Peril would melt everything in her path if she chose to. But the sight of her potential nieces and nephews playing around in the snow would be a sight to behold, especially if some of them managed to inherit their mother's Firescales.

She couldn't help but also envision what families the rest of her family would have. Knowing Tsunami, she and Riptide would have the biggest family out of her winglet. After all, she was the Seawing Queen so they'll be needing all the potential heirs if Tsunami ever gets replaced (hopefully not as a challenge). She wasn't sure how Glory's family would work, considering Deathbringer was going to become a King soon... and return to his tribe's homeland.

They'll work something out, Sunny reassured. They always have. Just like we all will.

Starflight's family would be a sight to see. She could imagine Him and Fatespeaker's dragonets either being intelligent as him or free-spirited like their mother. They would be a great family, just like the others. All of her friends would make great parents. And she... would be all alone.

Just like how I was, back then. "Hidden Alone from the rival queens, the Sandwing egg awaits unseen..."

It still ached at her heart sometimes, but Sunny wondered what would've it been like if her parents were still together. She didn't know what it felt like it, to experience an early mother's love during her dragonet days. But then again, neither had her friends did. At least Thorn was still active in her life.

Enough about that!

"Sunny, are you ok? You look upset about something?"

Sunny immediately stopped whatever it was she was doing. She must've looked like a fool in front of the Queen.

"I'm fine, Queen Snowfall," Sunny quickly answered.

"If you say so, you should let Sky or me help you in any way. If there is anything on your mind. Please don't hesitate to speak up, Princess Sunny. Any friend of Sky's is a friend of mine."

Sunny didn't answer, but her thoughts were screaming out responses she didn't wish to speak. And Sunny knew there were a lot of things going on with her. Something felt off about her.

What's going on with me? I hope I'm not getting sick.

"Well, I better let you go," Snowfall said, cautiously. "I just want to say I hope you have a good time with Sky. I wish to greet Sky before you two leave if you don't mind that."

"I have no complaints here," Sunny answered bitterly. Now that was something that almost made her wince.

Sunny watched as the Icewing crawled into an Igloo that Sky must've made. She didn't know why, but every time she imagined the Sky hanging out with Snowfall, she felt oddly angered about it. These feelings had reminded her of how Fatespeaker was around Starflight. She didn't know how to react, but she knew that she didn't like the idea of Sky warming up to the queen.

She hoped whatever she was going through was only temporary.

The following evening strolled around, but by that point, Sky and Sunny had left The Ice Kingdom. It was a windless Noon as Sunny soared through the clouds. Sunny had no idea where Sky was leading her next, on their little expedition but it wasn't something she was worried about. Instead, it was the words that Queen Snowfall had advised her before their departure.

Back at the igloo, Sky and The Queen were hitting it off. Sunny had watched in awkwardness, staying in the shadows of the frosty dome. Sunny had felt somewhat unwanted by the Queen's presence, even though she knew that Snowfall didn't exactly mean that, not in any form. It was rather weird for Sunny to feel somewhat mad whenever the Icewing was around Sky but she couldn't understand why. Even worse, she didn't have anyone to talk to about it, as Sky was busy telling stories to The Icewing Dragonets and The Queen. It seemed like Sunny was the third wheel.

After Sky was done telling the story about how he saved a collection of baby turtles from a flock of seagulls, he suddenly decided it was time for him to leave. By that point, Sunny was more than ready to leave the Ice Kingdom and she was impatiently waiting for Sky to hurry up. Unfortunately, Sky wanted to tell his goodbyes to the Icewing Dragonets he had befriended and gave them each a personal goodbye individually. This left Sunny to be approached by Snowfall, who wanted to give her some words of advice... the same words that rang in her ears.

"You know... you're a lucky dragon," Snowfall had said.

"How come?", Sunny asked.

"Anyone who has gained the attention of Sky is just about fortunate. He would make a great spouse. I mean, look at how he's handling the Dragonets."

The two had watched Sky closely, to see how Sky was doing with the tiny drakes. Sure enough, It seemed like The Dragonets liked Sky, as they were all over him in the snow, begging him not to go. Sunny couldn't help herself but imagine what kind of father Sky would be if he had found the right Dragon.

For unknown reasons, Sunny hoped it wouldn't be Snowfall. Not that she didn't care.

"My words of advice are this...," Snowfall said unexpectedly. "It's that you better go for it now, while you have the chance. You never know whenever if he'll stay single for long..."

Those words made Sunny irritated, as if they have rubbed her the wrong way. She didn't know why but she felt generally upset but how she was treated by the Queen. Even worse, Sky didn't seem to notice her dilemma as he was too busy sailing through the clouds.

Now I think I understand what Peril must've meant about what having a boyfriend feels like. I kinda wish I can toss Sky through a mountain or something.

Sunny shook that last line out of her thoughts. She would never do that, not to Sky at least. He was here to make sure she was alright. He was here for her, to give her a good day. Sky was such a gentleman. A pure soul in a world where hardships are endured.

Sunny didn't know where Sky was taking her, but it felt like hours as they kept sailing into clouds. Sky was busy Doing loop-de-loops and sticking his head in the fat, fluffy clouds.

"Did you have a good time, in the Ice Kingdom?", Sky asked immediately. The question had caught her off-guard and Sunny swore she could've jumped out of her scales if it were possible. Sky didn't seem to notice.

"It was... alright."

"Alright? Hmmm, I hope so. It was nice building those SnowWings with you! Especially with the Queen and those Dragonets. I'll admit I was a bit sad we didn't have enough time to go looking for Lemmings!"

"Lemmings?", Sunny questioned.

"Tiny animals," Sky quickly explained. "They're like these cute, little mice that like to hide in the snow. They're pretty rare though so it wasn't likely we would've found them in the Ice Kingdom. Oh well!"

"You sound happier now... Was it because Snowfall said something to you?", Sunny asked with bored amusement.

"Oh yes!", Sky answered, while spinning around in the clouds. " She said a lot of nice things but I was barely paying attention."

That almost Sunny laugh. "Why didn't you listen to what she said?"

Unfortunately, Sky didn't answer it as he suddenly flew down to the ground. "C'mon Sunny! I'm betting you're hungry!"

As much as She wanted Sky to answer her question, Sunny's stomach protested first. It had been a while since she last ate. She wondered what Sky was doing now that made him want to land on the ground.

She immediately knew why.

As she landed, She immediately gasped at the sight. She didn't know where she was but she knew the view was even more spectacular and marvelous at the sight. Standing in what seemed like to be a flower field, Sky was busy laying down a piece of cloth made entirely out of silk. They were apparently on a hillside, overlooking what seem to be rich fields full of fauna and flora. It was almost as if they were in a fertile green bowl, due to the large mountains surrounding them. Sunny guessed that they were near the Sky Kingdom.

"Aha! A lovely spot for a picnic!", Sky exclaimed happily. He then turned to look at Sunny and smiled at her.

"Hungry?"

Alright, I think this should be a good stopping point. Honestly, I wanted to keep going here but I decided not to milk out how much of my story was here. For those who don't know, I plan out these fanfics, via treemaps and all that shit and giggles. I wanted Sunny to have somewhat of an in-personal crisis here so I could set up for Sky's POV (maybe). So I apologize for making Snowfall here seem like a jerk. This brings me to what I am about to say...
To anyone who wants my opinion, I don't like the Snowfall x Sky Shipping. I think it is quite obvious that Snowfall and Sky are just pals and all, but it's also that Sky has no idea what a crush is lol. Except here in this fanfic, considering I wanted to give my boi some development.
I would also like to apologize for making the whole Snowfall and Sunny talk bad. This chapter dragged on for weeks and I am sorry for not just mutilating Snowfall's character, but also making their conversation look like trash.
Since I got that out of the way, I guess you can say it is time for me to hit the hay. I plan on updating this story either by next week hopefully or soon. My only wish is this: Please take it easy on me. Have mercy on my soul. Owen Out.
