Okay, so tons and tons of warnings for this chapter! This is a very DARK and CREEPY chapter. Thoughts of obsession, sensual and sexual talk that is not actually consensual because Allura does not approve to any of this. If you are squeamish, feel free to skip this chapter. You will not miss too much that won't be explained in the next chapter although pacing wise and emotions wise, it may help to read this chapter too. Still, please do not force yourself. One of my precious friends who would not like his name mentioned helped me out of a block for this chapter so a ton of thanks to him.
4. Beneath Your Very Skin
No matter how close he came to have Allura close to him, somehow, she always escaped. The other boy truly was an interloper that interfered every single time he tried. It had been three movements since Lotor had last seen. How did they always manage to escape? Even when he injured Keith, it did not stop Allura's powers of teleportation when things got too dangerous for them. He wanted her – he needed her, why didn't she see that? What did Keith have that he didn't? The Red Paladin of Voltron had said words he had not expected to hear from the other's mouth. The words Lotor would so easily to his flower without thinking twice.
"I love Allura," Keith said firmly, holding his sword in a shielding position as he glared at him. "You've done enough, Lotor. I won't let you lay a hand on her anymore. Ever again."
"You're not worthy of loving someone like Allura," Lotor said, iciness seeping into his tone as he gripped his own sword. Simply, moving him out of the way was not enough. The interloper needed to die. He struck at Keith, who moved back but the attack did scrape his arm just slightly. Still, the young Paladin was resilient.
Earthlings were surprisingly resilient after all. He didn't want to admit it but being able to knock the Red Paladin out the first time may have been just a chance attack. He was not nearly as weak as he assumed from that first fight. He could hold his own in a fight. This would not do. He needed a better plan to eliminate him – to feel her close again.
Her soft flesh beneath the palm of his hand; the sensation of the fabric twisting under his touch… He had been so close to his flower—near enough to feel her expectant shivers beneath his body, to taste her heady scent at the back of his throat. She was his, a promise that transcended realities. Whether it was the one—or another—wherever they went, she would always belong to him.
No matter what reality it was – she always resisted him and why was it always Keith? He wasn't even the Black Lion's pilot in this reality, but she always saw him before she saw Lotor. What could Keith even really offer? He wasn't a prince; he did not have many noble servants by his side that would do anything at his beck and call. He did not have several concubines surrounding him constantly. Then what did Allura see in him that he did not have? He could pleasure her – make her feel good in better ways than Keith could.
Why couldn't she see? Why didn't she understand? In the back of his mind, her stunning image was imprinted on his mind. Each curve, every blemish, a piece of art with the perfection it radiated from her body. An overwhelming desire pulsated beneath his skin, to smooth his hands over her clothing, to listen to the sharp intake of breath as they slipped beneath and explored her skin. He wanted her. More than ever, he craved to hold her close, to take her, to be inside and complete their binding as he made her his. He wanted to hear her moan for him with every bit of pleasure he would give her.
Keith did not belong anywhere between them. He had taken her and fled again though before he could even lay a finger on what was rightfully belonging to Lotor. They had escaped his grip once more—they had managed to locate sanctuary from him for the meantime. It would not last long. This was a promise he made to himself.
Before they had entered this world, he had explored it in its entirety – this was a world he had not meant to come to – one he had stumbled upon by pure accident, but it was the one he desired. It brought forth abilities he did not know he held within him and there was no real place to hide. There were no homes, no buildings here – occasional areas with plants and vegetation but no real place that could be a permanent shelter. They were near – they would not be able to hide for long and this time, he would make certain that this would be their final hiding place. She would become his and he would be gone. Just as it should be. His foot hovered above a cloth, and he pulled back, reaching down to pick it up.
It had blood and he brought it closer to his face. He drunk in the scent – he would easily recognise that piquant scent as it made him lick his lips. Good. This meant they were not too far from here. He needed to work faster this time – kill Keith and wound the princess enough to knock her out. This could work. If she would not listen to her with pleasantries, he knew how to show a beautiful treasure like her a little tough love. Next time was going to be the last battle between them.
Keith's days were numbered. Oh, how he longed to itch his hands around that interloper's throat. To watch the breaths of the Red Paladin slowing down until they finally came to a halt. This should have already happened. Things would have been so much easier if it had already. However, that teleporting ability of the princess was rather troublesome. It was unsurprising that she had been able to tap into this ability, but he needed a way to block it because it had led it to being three whole movements already. Had she not had this ability, she would have been his by now – but that was okay. It was only delaying what was meant to be – it was only pulling back destiny – he and Allura belonged together, why else would they exist together through multiple realities? If that wasn't a sign, then nothing else could be – did she truly miss the signs that they were soulmates?
Nonetheless, Princess, if you don't realise it now, I will help you to. Be it now or it in another few decaphoebes, once we are together, I WILL possess your heart.
