{Alright everyone! We are back for another one! Another chapter of our favorite ship. As of the time of me writing this, I believe the next chapter after this will be the conclusion. I'll admit, I will miss working on this but all good things must come to an end. However, I do have a bonus chapter in mind if anyone is interested. I'll leave the choice to you all when the time comes. In the meantime, here's your daily dose of SunSky! Or Sunny Sky? Whatever the name of this ship is called lmao.}

"And that's the end of my story. That should explain what's going on between me and Wren...", Sky finished. Sunny had been listening to what was going on with Wren and the dilemma she had inadvertently caused.

Sunny stared at Sky in shocked agony. She knew something was going on between the human and the Ashscales but this was something more than she had expected; She couldn't imagine what Sky was going through. The poor Skywing probably had never faced anything like this.

"Sky... I'm so sorry," Sunny began, with a slight tone of whimpering. "I can't imagine what you're going through, but I think I can understand how you are feeling."

That part was true. If there was one thing Sunny could sympathize with others, it would have to be with others overshadowing her. That was not a pleasant feeling.

The scrawny Skywing glanced at her. "Now I feel like a fool," he said. "I don't like talking about my emotions, especially whenever I feel weak and vulnerable."

"Sky," Sunny said sternly. Another aspect she despised was when other dragons didn't like to be emotional. While she could understand that it may depend on the nature of a dragon or how what culture he or she was raised in, she knew Sky was better than that. He was emotional. He embraced what made him special. That was his emotional side.

But seeing him like this made her want to help him even more. He was alone for the first time and he needed someone to help him. As he had done the same with her.

Sunny knew what she had to do.

Immediately, she approached the Ashscales and grabbed ahold of his precious talons. That seemed to grab his attention. Sky lifted his head and saw her holding them.

"Sky, listen to me. You are much more than that. You feel cheated, I get that. But you are more than that. Much more than just a Skywing. You accomplished so much. You helped save two continents from falling into war. You help established peace between us Wings with the scavengers. You are more than just a Skywing. You're a hero, an idol many aspire to be, and emulate. Don't you ever dare talk bad about yourself!"

Sunny could notice the tears Sky was watering up. He was trying so hard to contain them. But Sunny knew what she had to do. If she aimed to help reassure Sky, he needed to break.

And that is what he did.

After a few words of comfort, Sky finally released the emotions he was building up. Sunny pulled him close to her as he had done the same. He didn't wail loudly as she had done, but his weeping was easily masked among the sounds of the storm. By this point, the storm wasn't thundering loud but the rain gave the beat to a steady and calm notion.

Sunny clenched close to his slim body. Sky had his head buried in her chest. Sunny wrapped her talons around his head and closed her eyes. Sky huddled within the ball of scales they had become.

He was safe in her arms. She was safe in his. Sunny let loose a small tear of peace as Sky wept. Sky was safe, safe in the comforting space they shared. He was in her arms, I'm the arms of a lover, and Sunny wouldn't let him go.

That night, a mixture of emotions was shared between them.

Sunny enjoyed every second of it. The two of them were alone, trapped in a safe warm cave. No one bothered the two, as the only sounds were their guest. The sound of steady, rainfall. The casual howls of the wind. The quiet chatter of two dragons who were in love.

The two of them sat in the glow of the flame, which sat between them. Their tales were tied to one another, connected just like Clay and Peril did occasionally.

Their conversations were the best Sunny had experienced in a long time. Both of them were enchanted by one another, adored by the Skywing in front of her. Sunny loved the attention she received and she knew Sky did too. A few of them were about one another's adventures, although Sunny loved Sky's tales about Pantala. She hadn't been there, after all.

The passage of time had no presence there and it didn't matter to Sunny. She was in Sky's company and she enjoyed every moment. Time was a precious resource. Sunny couldn't care if the stars didn't move around all or if the world was spinning. She was here, in her little universe, with the Dragon she loved.

But it wasn't all talk they did. Sky entertained her via shadow puppetry, a skill he had picked up from the scavenger children he had grown to love. Sunny had whispered jokes to Sky, which made him smile at her. A bubbly feeling rose from each warm look Sky gave to her. She couldn't help but feel like a dragonet again whenever he did that. Sunny couldn't help but giggle at each smile.

And Sky loved it.

Another thing occurred amid the storm when Sky decided to teach Sunny how to dance. And when he meant by dance, he meant scavenger dancing, not in the standard of dragon dancing. Sunny was surprised to learn that Scavengers could dance as well. It was a new concept for her, as the custom of scavenger dancing was far different than the way the other tribes did. As far as Sunny knew, dancing meant flying around in circular patterns and the occasional patting of tails.

But here Sky took her in his talons. Sky wrapped her tail around his as It was his way to support her. Together they swayed in silence they stood up on their hind legs. Sky noticed he was humming a nice, slow tune.

"What song are you humming about?," Sunny asked as they swayed in tune.

"Want to find out?", Sky answered subliminally. "We need music to dance too..."

Sky couldn't help but smile at her. "I can provide that, although I'm no singer, not like Prince Cliff."

"As long as you're not like Tsunami, I say you're fair game."

That was enough to make him laugh. Convinced, he began his melody. As their hearts swayed to the beat, so did Sunny's love for him.

When I looked your way you told me I was crazy

It's been so many years, but I still know you're the one

I won't grow tired of this place

I could wake up every morning to your face

It won't go away again, that's all I know

It won't go away again, that's all I know

I don't know what to say, it's just that I've loved you so long

And I will always be there, you don't have to be scared anymore

There's not enough time in the world to be wasting

If I could have all the time in the world with you I'd take it

Inside it feels like I'm screaming out loud

I just want the whole world to know

It won't go away again, that's all I know

It won't go away again, that's all I know

I don't know what to say, it's just that I've loved you so long

And I will always be there, you don't have to be scared anymore

You don't have to be scared anymore

You don't have to be scared anymore

You don't have to be scared anymore

And just for tonight, the whole world stops

It's a blessing to see in your eyes

And know nothing is missing

It won't go away again, that's all I know

It won't go away again, that's all I know

I don't know what to say, it's just that I've loved you so long

And I will always be there, you don't have to be scared anymore

You don't have to be scared anymore

Once the song was over, Sunny had found herself cozy in his presence. Maybe a little too bit cozy, but she didn't care. Sky didn't seem to mind either.

What she didn't know was that she was falling deep into slumber. She didn't know how tired she was until Sky began to rock her while singing. In the crook of his neck and shoulder, Sunny had made it into her cushion. Perfect size for Sunny.

"Sleepy?" Sky asked softly.

"Mmm-hmm."

Sky did a humble chuckle. "Sleep well, Princess."

As much as Sunny wanted Sky to drop the title, she was too fatigued to fight back. She did, however, enjoyed the sound of Sky calling her princess. It was almost... dreamy.

With a soothing, steady heartbeat from Sky, a nice drizzle of rain, and the slow crackle of a fire, Sunny eventually found herself cast into sleep. But just before she slipped into the world of dreams, Sunny suddenly heard Sky whisper into her ear that made it all worthwhile.

"I love you, Sunny."

The following morning came at last. Daybreak was cast from crevices of a fading storm, a remnant of the previous rainfall. Sunny was the first to awake, as she felt the dazzle of sunlight shower upon her. Cracking open her scaly eyes, Sunny found herself in a predicament.

Sky was still dormant in sleep as he had slept leaning against the rocky wall. Not a good position to sleep in, she knew that from experience. But one thing she did like was how Sky's wings were wrapped around her well-being, as he was protecting her while she slept. He probably did while trying to fight sleep.

Adorable... Sunny cooed at the sight. She began to softly rub his horns and face in affection. He would probably be awake in a few moments anyway.

To answer that question, Sky began to slowly shift his head around and opened his eyes at the sight of her. "Good morning, Sunflower. Had a good dream?"

She nodded happily. "Thank you for looking out for me last night."

"Of course," Sky said. He began rubbing his neck, confirming he was hurting from sleeping awkwardly.

"Hey, Sky...", Sunny began. "Can we talk?"

"Always. Is there something you need?"

"There is," Sunny began with a smile. "It's about something you said to me last night."

Sky stopped dead in his tracks. "So... you noticed what I said..."

"Yeah, I did. I'm not upset about it."

Sky relaxed. "You're not?"

"Why would I be upset about it? I love you too."

It was here Sunny immediately noticed Sky's eyes watered in bliss. "You know, you're the first dragon that had ever said that to me. Frankly, I thought you wouldn't hear me confess that."

Sunny came up to him and pulled him into a slow peck on the lips. "Well, I guess that makes me special, eh?"

"Yeah, it does. You're special to me, you'll always be. Thank you, Sunny. Thank you for everything."

Sunny took his talons into hers. "No, thank you for being my hero. After tonight, you helped me regain my confidence. Thank you for that, Sky."

There were no words exchanged between the two as Sky had pulled her into another kiss. It may have been a full one, like the ones her siblings did, but this was one as passionate as they were. And Sunny loved every second of it.

It was here Sunny and Sky quickly reviewed what they were going to do once they reached home. Sunny would gather up her friends and finally tell them how she felt and how she could try to keep them together as long as she can. She couldn't delay the inevitable, but she wanted to spend every second she had left together with them. They may share the same blood or tribe as her, but they were her older brothers and sisters and she was lucky to have them.

For Sky, it was the same. He would talk to Wren and Undauntable alone and ask them what was the deal between the two. If he had to, Sunny made sure to bring her if they refused to speak. It was time for Wren and Sky to work things out together. It was going to be painful, but Sky was confident it would all be ok. He had faith and so did she.

The two of them ate a quick meal before it was time for them to leave. Both of them had a long way to go if they wanted to be back home in time.

At one point, a butterfly came by and settled down upon one of Sunny's talons. Sky held eyes of amazement at the sight.

"Beautiful..." that was all he had to say.

Sunny held up her talon and smiled. Looking at Sky, she cast him her smile, and together, a final moment between them.

Even if it wasn't spoken, Sunny knew. Sunny knew that He was hers and She was his.

And everything was at peace.

{Well, this is the end of the chapter. The next chapter should be the final one. Oh goodness, that one would be a heartbreak for me. I've honestly been enjoying writing these for y'all and I'm sad that we'll be saying goodbye to this soon, All things must come to an end. I hoped you all enjoyed this chapter everyone. Fluff is always nice to write about and I love it.}

{To those who are curious, the song that Sky sings is one I enjoy the most. The rights to that song rightly belong to Parabelle. The song is called It Won't Go Away Again. I highly advise you all to check it out because it is a gem of a song. Normally, my taste in music is either Metalcore or Swing Jazz (I come from a place where Jazz is our thing), but I didn't want to forget my Indie rock love. I'll see you guys in the next chapter. Peace!}
