"Hey kid! Kid! What are you doing? Just get in!"
The bus driver shouted at the pink haired girl who stood with one foot in the bus and the other on the sidewalk. She wasn't going anywhere.
"I'm waiting for my friend!"
"They ain't here so-"
"Ah!" Anya gasped as the visage of her mission came into view. It was Sy-on boy!
"Sy-on boy! You came!" Anya jumped out of the bus and bounced excitedly in front of her friend. Damian looked unamused.
"I thought I better see what apartment life looks like so I could be more grateful for what I have." Of course he had to sound aloof. But Anya couldn't care, she's achieving her mission!
"This'll be so fun! Papa's making dinner, and Ma's—"
"Your father cooks? What about your maid?"
"Huh? I don't have a maid."
Damian looked puzzled.
"Not even one? Who cleans?"
"Anya does!" (She does not.)
"That has to be against some child labor law!"
As the two bickered, the bus rolled down the street. Without them.
"…Anya's gonna have to wait for another bus again…"
"Sigh… you really are ditsy." Damian shook his head at her as he walked to the payphone and made a call. In less than a minute, a fancy long black car came to their location. The man driving it got out and opened the door, and Anya knew what this meant. She hung her head low.
"Sorry I incon- ivconv… Sorry I messed up your day…" But as she turned to leave with her head low, Damian stood by the limousine, one foot in and one foot on the sidewalk.
"Ahem? You coming?"
"Oh! Yay! Anya gets to ride in cool long car!"
"Y-Yeah just don't go telling the others about it, they might hate you for getting to ride with me before they do!" Damian snootily scoffed as Anya dove under his arm and plopped on a seat.
"Anya found snacks!"
"Huh? Where? Wait I want some!"
Meanwhile, the Forger household bustled about with worried stomps.
"She could be kidnapped, or eaten by wild animals, or—"
"Yor, I'm sure she's just missed her bus again, no need to worry." Loid said behind a newspaper, tapping his toe relentlessly. "Unless she doesn't come home in exactly three minutes and twenty six seconds, then we can proceed to send out a search party."
*Knock knock knock!*
"Anya!" Yor zipped faster than a locomotive to the front door, opening it vigorously. "Anya are you- oh! You brought a friend over!"
"Huh?" Overhearing his "wife", Loid put his paper down. It was probably just that Becky girl again. She weirded him out a little bit…
"Ma, this is my friend from school—"
"W-We're not friends, just classmates!"
That was a boy's voice. Now that made Loid curious. He stood and rounded the bend. It sounded almost like-
"This is my friend, Sy-on boy!"
And there, in the flesh, was a a miracle.
"Damian Desmond?"
