Prompt: After the world is saved, the human decides to live out the rest of their live in the Pokémon world. One day a rumor is being passed around that a young Pokémon has lost its memory and claims to have been human
"Wait, you two..." Henry was huffing and puffing, not used to the long trips his companions were regularly doing. "I... I need... a break." The jangmo-o climbed on top of a nearby tree stump and slumped over.
The gray haxorus approached him sighing in disappointment. "This is why I said you should have stayed in Paradise, Henry. That, or stop being stubborn and let me carry you." Henry grumbled something under his breath as the large dragon kneeled down. "What was that, small fry?"
"Carry me then..." he said, slightly louder.
"Could you repeat that?"
"Dammit Emma, just carry me!" Henry blurted as Joshua was laughing in the distance.
Emma chuckled as she turned around. "Alright, I'm done with my fun. Climb up and get comfortable." Henry climbed on top of the backpack Emma was carrying and gripped around one of her spine scales.
"I still don't get why you two are this persistent in doing this." Joshua said, getting a glance from both dragons. "Okay... So I kinda get it, but it was 'hey, there is this rumor' and both of you were practically out the door."
"A rumor involving humans." Emma replied as she stood back up.
"Exactly!" the dewott snapped his fingers. "R-U-M-O-R. Rumor."
"It could be a survivor of Kyurem or Munna back when they... well... you know." Emma said as they continued their journey.
"I don't so, can you elaborate?" Henry shifted himself on the fully evolved's back finding a proper comfortable position.
"Well... When summoned by a voice of life, if you were to get... killed..." Joshua droned off.
"Killed is not quite right, since you survive, but essentially..." This time Emma stopped, not sure how to say it right.
"Let us just call it that what we thought was a pretty light show was hundreds of human souls returning to your world." Joshua wasn't sure it was the best way to formulate it, but he didn't know if any could describe it better.
"Oh... So when I heard you talking about a way to send me home..." Henry realized the situation.
"Now you know why I was that opposed to that quote-unquote solution." Emma said doing the gesture in accompaniment with her sentence.
"Morbid." was the only thing Henry could say.
The village was quite loud as a large gathering of what the trio could identify as travelers were standing in the square.
"My bet is that the supposed human is in the middle of that crowd..." Joshua said in defeat.
"We aren't getting anywhere close to them, are we?" Emma followed. "And grabbing the crowd's attention will just screw us over the other way."
"The price of fame." Joshua mused with a hint of pride.
"I see a bakery over there." Henry pointed from above Emma's head. "We could grab something to eat while waiting till the travelers get bored, tired or both."
"I still feel for the poor thing." Joshua looked at the large wall of pokemon.
"Same, but what can we do?" Emma glanced at the crowd. "Just walk up and shove them out of the way yelling about us having priority because of something or another?"
"LEAVE ME BE!" They perked up as they heard the yell from the center of the swarm.
"Guess that is exactly what we are going to do, Emma." Henry said as he jumped off his friend.
"For the love of..." Joshua grumbled as he ran towards the crowd. "EVERYONE STEP ASIDE. JOSHUA AND AXELIA, WORLD SAVIORS AND OWNERS OF POKEMON PARADISE ON OFFICIAL POST WORLD SAVING BUSINESS!" The crowd barely flinched from Joshua's announcement. "Fine then. Emma, would you kindly?"
Emma let out a mighty roar that grabbed the attention of some before she stomped the ground, causing it to violently shake. The crowd spread out as they stumbled, with the group casually walking past the disoriented pokemon. "Thank you for your cooperation." She said as they wandered through the mob.
Joshua had reached the center to see an aipom covering and sobbing. "Hey there." he said as he approached.
The aipom looked at him before hiding her face in her small hands again. "Go away! Leave me alone."
"You want to be left alone from this crowd, right?" Joshua asked the crying pokemon, which nodded. "Then let my human friend help you out." Emma had approached as the aipom looked to see whom Joshua was talking about.
"MONSTER!" She yelled as she rolled on her back and slowly climbed backwards.
"No. Nonono. I'm like you." Emma kneeled down and stretched out an arm. "I'm also a human that became a pokemon." Henry then poked his head out from behind her. "And this guy is also one."
Murmurs got louder from the crowd, as they started to realize who had just thrown them to the side. The words 'savior' and 'hopebringers' began flying around.
"Hopebringers? That's new, and I think it fits." Joshua said as he went on the other side of the aipom. "Anyway, we have a few questions-"
"NO! No more questions. I don't remember anything!" the girl cried.
"Aside from being human, I assume." The aipom nodded in reply to Emma. "Got a name?"
"Jill." she meekly replied.
"Hi Jill. Call me Emma, and this is Henry." Henry waved to the poor girl.
The crowd got closer so Emma stood up and roared at the crowd.
"Any closer and small tremors will be the least of your problems!" She stomped, causing Jill to yelp as she bounced. "Sorry." said Emma, aimed at Jill. The crowd got the message and started to back off. The haxorus turned around back to the aipom girl. "So, want to grab a bite? Our treat."
The aipom was scarfing down the sweet bread, almost choking like she had taken lessons from Anime Gorging 101.
"You haven't gotten a lot of food since you woke up, have you?" Joshua asked as she emptied her glass of juice.
"Can't buy food with no money." she replied before taking another large bite of the bread.
"Anyway, Jill. Anything you do remember?" Emma asked.
"I've said it a billion times. I don't remember anything from my world." Jill was angrily chewing.
"I'm not asking about the human world. Just... anything." Emma clarified.
Jill stopped chewing for a few moments before returning to chewing. Once she swallowed she cleared her throat. "I remember this... voice. It was asking for help against some who wanted to freeze the world... Then I woke up in this world among others who were as confused as me... Then... This ice monster appeared and... and..."
"That story checks out." Joshua said. "You had a similar dream when you arrived, right Emma?"
"Indeed." Emma replied shortly. "But to wake up right in front of Kyurem..." She and Joshua started to shudder. She returned her attention to Jill. "Anything else?"
"Not really. There was screaming... and I got hit, I think. Argh! I don't remember!"
"Relax, relax." Joshua patted her on the back. "You've said enough." He then looked to his companions. "So... what now?"
"I think we will bring her to 'the voice' and maybe it can help her in some way." Emma said.
"Wait, are you saying you want Hydreigon to help? Are you that desperate?" Joshua shook his head.
"He can't screw up everything... right?" Emma had already regretted suggesting Hydreigon's help. "But, nonetheless, I think bringing her back to Paradise will be her best option for now. Maybe that will hurry Hydreigon to find a way to send Henry home as well."
"I still don't get why she wasn't sent back home when you were." Joshua said as he finished his own food.
"Because it's Hydreigon we're talking about." was the deadpan reply from Emma.
"I don't really like how you're talking about this Hydreigon." Jill said, looking nervous.
"Don't worry." Henry assured her. "He's not as bad as the two make him out to be. He just has his... quirks."
A hearty meal later, the Paradise crew started to head home, with a new companion at their side.
AN: And here we have Jill, the quartet has been gathered.
