"No, No! Hilary! Stop!" Kai was beyond frustrated and grinding his teeth. This was not how he had envisioned the training session to go. Two hours had gone by without any progress. His student was plopped on the dusty ground nursing her aching arms. She looked a sorry sight with scratches up and down both arms, her light blue shorts and legs covered in dirt. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong, Kai. I did everything like you instructed".

Kai pinched the bridge of his nose to quell the growing migraine. He would have to take drastic measures. The first thing would be correcting her posture. It was driving him mad. He walked up to her, ordering her to get back on her feet. Hilary stood back over the bey dish with her blade and launcher extended out in front of her. Kai went up behind her and grabbed her arms bringing them down lower and closer to her body. At the same time he pushed his right leg between hers, nudging them apart further to correct her stance.

Hilary's face went flaming red at the contact. She was living every fan girl's ultimate fantasy. Having Kai Hiwatari hold her close, his scent clouding her senses. Kai was talking to her, no doubt imparting extremely important tips. But Hilary made no comment which he found odd. That's when he noticed her glassy eyes and the mushy expression on her face. He mentally sighed. 'Could this day get any weirder'. "Hilary, get a grip", he said rolling his eyes. Do you want to beat Tyson or not? Or are you going to let him walk all over you, bragging about how he had been right all along. " That seemed to do the trick. Hilary snapped out of her trance and fixed her face with determination.

After a few tries, she was finally able to land the little yellow blade into the dish. As Hilary performed a happy dance, Kai tried to conceal his smile. "Good. Now you have to launch the blade into the dish again but this time keep it spinning for a bit." The trick is to launch the blade into the centre of the dish or as close to the centre as possible. The two teens spent the rest of the afternoon and most of the next day perfecting Hilary's technique, until Kai deemed her ready for battle, or as ready as one could be after a crash course of Beyblade for Dummies.
