Acquaintances:
A few days after the warning Ronaldo gave the group, they were then informed again by Loraina of more attacks in the outskirts of the town and some neighboring cities that have happened over the past two weekends. This time rather than being separated by the woods and urban attacks, the attackers now seem to be going after two girls that seem to be matching that of Jackie and Kendall's descriptions. This doesn't sit well with anyone in the group the more they thought about it. Especially the boys as they thought about why these attacks seem to be closing in on their city, plus are focusing on girls that look like their girlfriends.
Loraina and Nicolette can't seem to get anything on their fronts, which only seems to baffle the group more. As this leaves more questions of what to do about these attacks, mainly since they don't want more attention from the London students coming forth. Brianna has a few suggestions they could try, however, she is unsure whether they will be fruitful, seeing as she is still unsure as to what is going on. In fact all of them want to know what is going on, which leads to them wanting to stay in contact until a solid plan is set in motion on what to do about these attacks. In the meantime, though, Kick and Gunther want to make sure Jackie and Kendall remain safe being they don't want a repeat of the incident that happened on Valentine's weekend.
The group, though thought it best to not tell the girls right away, since they didn't want to worry them. As the boys, Mouth, Brianna and the girls were walking back home, they were just idly chatting about things since the girls always enjoyed walking home now. They didn't notice, though as they were making their way into their neighborhood, some new faces waiting for them, in between Jackie's and Kendall's place; until that is they got closer to the girls' homes. Jackie and Kendall grew curious, while the other four were suspicious and automatically didn't seem to like these "guests." They walked over to the group, staying a bit back.
"Are you Jackie Wackerman and Kendall Perkins?" A girl with light chestnut hair asked. The girls nodded.
"And you are?" Jackie wondered.
"Oh forgive me." The girl placed her hand on her chest. "My name is Haley Trenton, this is my sister, Julie." She introduced the both of them. Julie shot a look at the four, which Kick and Gunther weren't too happy about, neither was Brianna. "We were hoping to speak with you two."
"Speak with us?" Kendall questioned.
"Yes…without them" Julie directed her attention to their friends behind them. This got the boys even more distrusting of the two new girls before them.
"Not happening." Kick commented.
"You really think we'll let you." Gunther added. Julie had a smug expression.
"Oh is that right…" Julie started to say.
"Julie." Haley shot her a look. "Forgive my sister." She apologized for her sister. "She's a bit…eccentric." She tried to find the right word. "However, we would like to talk to you girls alone, if that is possible." The girls were wary of this.
"We rather not." Jackie responded.
"Yeah." Kendall agreed. "Besides, we don't even know you two."
"Yeah, but do you know them." Julie rolled her eyes, as she said that with a tone.
"Julie!" Haley smacked her arm. Jackie and Kendall glanced at each other with that, finding the way she said that odd, and familiar. The boys now knew exactly who they were dealing with as they glared at the girls in front of them.
"Do you know…they're…" Kendall whispered. Jackie just as surprised.
"Oh so the bloodsuckers did tell you." Julie remarked. "How lovely…"
"Why you?" Gunther narrowed his eyes.
"Julie enough." Haley warned. "Again, my sister is being difficult." She breathed.
"How do you know that they're…" Jackie started to ask.
"How else, we're hunters." Julie replied. The girls' eyes widened.
"Figures." The boys spoke.
"Something wrong with that?" Julie inquired.
"Julie, if I have to warn you one more time." Haley started to get annoyed.
"Hey these bloodsuckers are the ones starting things." She folded her arms. Haley just rolled her eyes, a headache forming.
"Forgive her, she's jetlagged, a bit tired and cranky." Haley tried to excuse her behavior.
"Sure." Gunther commented.
"Why are you guys here?" Jackie asked.
"And why are you looking for us?" Kendall added.
"You don't know?" Haley quirked an eyebrow. The girls shook their heads. "Seriously?"
"What is it they need to know?" Brianna came in. 'Kick I can't…' Brianna thought, Kick nodding in agreement as he didn't like it either. Mouth was also curious now as he glanced at Brianna and Kick, then the two sisters before him.
"Something I don't think you bloodsuckers…" Julie started to retort.
"Julie shut up." Haley told her. "You don't know anything about your parents?" She questioned the girls.
"What…what do you mean?" Jackie looked at them curiously, while Kendall just stared at them suspiciously as the topic was brought up.
"You're fathers were high ranking hunters and your mothers were full blooded huntresses, which is a rare thing in our society." Haley told them. The girls were silent, while the others glanced at Jackie and Kendall. "Did you seriously not know? You wear hunter's jewelry and not know about it?" She pointed at the necklaces and rings the girls were wearing. Jackie didn't know what to think about this while Kendall's mind stopped working.
"Your fathers were true warriors…" Julie started.
"Shut up." Kendall interrupted. This shocked her. Haley staring at her.
"Don't you want to know about your parents, your father…" Julie wanted to ask.
"No I don't." Kendall had a harsh look aimed at her, which frightened her a bit as she went silent. "I don't want to know anything about him." She told her. "He's is nothing but a….I just I don't care to know about him."
"Kendall you should know he's being punished to the fullest extent in our system for what he did." Haley assured. "Especially since we've known about what he's done."
"And where the hell were you when he did everything?" Kendall stared at her more. This took her by surprise, causing her to swallow. "I don't care, and I want nothing to do with anything my father had affiliation with." She harshly whispered. Haley let out a breath.
"Understandable." She nodded. She glanced at Jackie. "And you feel the same?"
"I never knew my father, so why should I care now?" Jackie had a similar mentality and sentiment like Kendall.
"I see." Haley spoke. "If you ever change your mind though." She gave them her card. "We will be here for a few weeks. And we will gladly answer any questions you have." Kendall looked at the card with a glare.
"H.A.?" She read the card.
"Hunter's Academy." Haley responded. "If you're ever interested in going, or just learning about it."
"Trust us we're not." Jackie commented.
"We'll still be here for some business, so again feel free to call if you have questions." Haley reminded. "It was very nice to finally meet you two." She smiled.
"Sure." The girls stated simultaneously in a quiet voice.
"Come Julie." Haley grabbed her sister. "Girls." She waved as she walked around the group, Julie giving a few final glares before a simple wave to the girls and walking with her sister out of the neighborhood.
"You two okay?" Kick asked, Gunther also worried. Kendall looked down at the card before placing it in her pocket to not look at it again.
"Sure…" She was quiet. Jackie didn't respond.
"Kends…" Kick was still worried. The girls started walking to Kendall's house, as the others followed.
"Yeah, we'll be fine, just wasn't expecting that." Kendall admitted.
"Jackie?" Gunther looked at her as they entered the house. Kendall went to get waters, before they all sat down.
"I'll be fine." Jackie was quiet. "Just like she said, wasn't expecting it….is all." Jackie confessed as she grabbed the water.
"Let's watch something, get our minds off this." Brianna suggested. "It might help." She wanted to help them as she saw Jackie and Kendall were just trying to wrap their heads around this and also seeming to want to avoid the issue at the same time. They nodded to the idea as Brianna went to stream something, the girls cuddling up to the boys. Their minds still finding it hard to focus on the movies that played as they didn't know what to think of their families anymore. Their worlds were just continuously changing.
