A true Eclipse chapter 2
An: I've gotten the bare minimum of acknowledgement. So I'll continue this.
Far away from the mess that the Sunlight Scripture produces around itself. Lay an ancient stopwatch set to ring once a century. Its display said that it was three days over due. A claw reached over and silenced its ringing before scooping gold into a duffel bag. The armor known as Riku to countless people stepped out of its housing for the first time in decades.
"The only way for the Greed Kings, let alone me, to show up in Limbo is if Surshana was interrupted by something." Tsaindorcus Vaison, the Platinum Dragon Lord, thought. "Hopefully it was just a new Wild Magic User who had the misfortune of meeting the Sunlight Scripture. If not then it was either a Divine or Necromancy focused Player. Those are the only explanations on how that soul just disappeared.
What's most aggravating is that none of us had damaged Surshana's respawn efforts. Either of himself or his fellow 'Great Gods'. Absolutely pathetic of all of us, even the newbie." Tsa shook his head in dismay.
Riku left Tsa's bedroom and went to the Argland Council State's markets to acquire defensive materials. While the nation's defenses were already impressive, they needed to be better. Now that a new Limbo-Capable has arrived.
Closer to the chaos was a war council room, though strangely there was a very decorated mirror that reflected 6 insanely decorated chairs that didn't exist in the room. Even stranger was the fact that there were plushies on 5 of the six most decorated chairs on either side of the mirror. The most strange however was the fact that the plushies were moving and the white-clad elf plushie was the tallest at 4 feet.
"...thus we will have a new Sunlight Scripture ready to go in just 3 weeks, if nothing goes wrong with my plan." Oh and the fact that the elf plushie could talk.
"Yes, Lady Alah." Said Cardinal Raymond Zarg Lauransan, the commander of the Scriptures.
Alah Alaf the Elven Goddess of Light and Life nodded. The replacements she chose had already experienced the terror of the non-human and excellent fighting abilities. Stronger on an individual level than Ningun's Sunlight, though the teamwork will need a while to catch up.
Surshana walked into the mirror frame before sitting on his throne. The blue clad human plush leapt onto Surshana's lap. Surshana obediently resumed repairing/regrowing his fellow Player.
"I'm confirming the fact that the one who interrupted me was Momonga of Ainz Ooal Gown." Surshana said.
The room groaned.
"Hopefully it is just Momonga, but knowing our luck all 41 are here." Rufus said.
"But either way, they will have to adapt to NPCs being active and shifting focus to offense. That buys us 2-3 years." Tangor Willowleaf, Captain of the Black Scripture, assured the room.
The next two hours descended into various minutiae of running the largest nation in the region. Small improvements were made to defenses and training regimes now that their newest enemy was known.
Evileye jerked before cursing up a storm.
"A new Limbo-Capable?" Lakyus asked, interrupting her subordinate.
Evileye nodded, causing her party mates to sigh. Gagaran took a larger than usual gulp of her beverage.
"Whose soul was it?" Tia asked.
"Was it from that raiding party?" Tina asked.
"It was from the raiding party. …and the soul was Slane." Evileye said.
Blue Roses sighed once more in unison.
"Damn the Eight Fingers to oblivion!" Gagaran cursed.
"Now we just have to find or fabricate evidence linking Eight Fingers to these raids." Lakyus muttered while rubbing her temples. "Hopefully that will kick the noble faction into shape. If not, we are definitely going to get absorbed by Baruth."
Albedo looked around trying to find the scum that dared to scratch her beloved. No matter the spells and skills Albedo stealthily activated, she still couldn't see their attacks. Oh sure, there were two human girls but they lacked the presence capable of even harming either of them.
"My Beloved, I'm sorry to say that I can't not perceive our attackers. Permission for Nigredo to scout?" Albedo asked.
Momonga jerked out of his thoughts upon her voice and nodded.
[Nigredo there is an invisible enemy that dared to attack our Liege.] Albedo commanded over the Message spell.
The hairs on the back of Albedo and the human girls' necks raised. As the intense intelligence-gathering magic of Nigredo was brought to focus. A dark mist leapt from Lord Momonga's hand and settled on the corpse of the knight. The mist billowed upwards as it filled out into a Death Knight. Spell circles surrounded Lord Momonga as the Death Knight joined Albedo in defensive positions.
More Death Knights rose from the circles, but they lacked a 'fullness' of something that Albedo couldn't describe. The dark oval of a Gate appeared and Yuri Alpha reached out to grasp Momonga's Staff. Yuri pulled the Guild Weapon back into the safety of Nazarick as the rest of the Pleiades walked out of the gate.
"There is an uncontrollable ghost on the first three floors. Wearing an unknown knight's regalia." Yuri Alpha reported.
Lord Momonga titled his head and cast a minor illusion to showcase the pathetic knight that couldn't even resist a Grasp Heart.
Yuri Alpha nodded in answer to Lord Momonga's unvoiced question.
"Pleiades capture the raiding knights before healing the wounded villagers. Do NOT kill any of the Knights. I do not want an uncontrollable Wild Hunt spawning in Nazarick. If Nigredo detects the unknown enemies you have my permission to fight and pursue for 25 kilometers. Note the direction and get a map to find out what's in that direction if the chase lasts past 25 kilometers." Lord Momonga ordered.
The Pleiades nodded and dispersed towards the flaming village. Lupus halted next to the girls to treat them. Albedo and the Death Knights formed a circle around Lord Momonga as more summoning circles appeared around him.
AN: okay. I hope I've made Nazarick in Character. And I know I made ST in character because they are all blank made to be hated slates.
