Nothing Is Solved:
After a few days and the boys' mothers finally return, early in fact, plus Brianna, which she didn't think she'd return as late as she would in the week, all were surprised to find the boys much better and almost healed. The boys' mothers took care of the rest, however Brianna was curious as to how they got healed so miraculously. Although, Brianna, upon discovering why, as she, her brother, Gunther, Mouth, and the girls were walking through the park, stopping at one of the benches and sitting to talk, is not very happy about it. However, she could also tell that neither is her brother and Gunther by the looks of things and what they were thinking, especially with how the girls did things. Which she can't help but think the girls were clever in doing things, mainly Kendall, in how she found out about some super natural items and used them against Kick. She had to admit, she was impressed by the girls. Although, she can somewhat see the boys' concerns in where this can lead, and that was somewhat concerning in a few ways, especially if things could bad.
"You girls are lucky nothing bad happened." Brianna told them, as she was relieved her brother and Gunther were finally okay, but had to scold the girls for their behavior, as the boys had done. "My brother and Gunther could have easily done something terrible." She breathed.
"We had things figured out." Kendall responded, as her and Jackie glanced at one another.
"Besides had you all told us what they needed, they wouldn't have gotten so bad." Jackie reasoned. "This could've been solved faster."
"It's not about the fact of it being solved faster." Gunther reminded.
"Exactly." Kick folded his arms, still hating what happened as he was glad nothing bad occurred. Though, like Jackie, Kendall didn't much acknowledge the fact and acted nonchalant about it. She didn't even answer him about where she got the items, which was frustrating to him as he wanted to know, mainly with how she found about them. His mind was just getting too wrapped up with everything. "You girls were just as injured anyway." He recalled. "We could've handled it." Both girls gave them a look with that, knowing fully well that was not true.
"Precisely." Brianna agreed. "You didn't need to worry about them, we would have figured out something." She added. "You didn't need to put yourselves at risk."
"We don't see it as putting ourselves at risk." Jackie countered.
"We did this willingly and would do it again." Kendall mentioned. "What's bothersome is you all think we can't handle this." She gave them a serious look.
"She's right." Jackie nodded. "We wanted to help, so let us." Jackie came in. "Don't just discount us." Brianna was surprised by that as was Mouth as the two looked at each other.
"We're not trying to discount you two." Gunther spoke. "You just need to see things from our perspective, and things can get very…" He wanted to make them understand though knew they weren't going to and were seeing they were being stubborn about it.
"Deadly, beyond deadly." Kick continued, having a look that was just as serious as Kendall's. "It's not about it being just dangerous and I mean more dangerous than our stunts, but it's life-threatening." He stated.
"Maybe so, but we understood all that the moment you told us what you were." Kendall replied.
"She has a point." Jackie agreed. "And we accepted every ounce of that danger." She reminded. "I mean given with what happened that night and how we found out." Gunther and Kick glanced at each other shocked a bit by that comment.
"We know you'll protect us, but can you at least trust us, to make valid, solid, logical and accurate decisions in knowing that we can trust you and know what we're doing." Kendall commented. "We know you both and knew you both would be fine, couldn't you at least have trusted that?" Both boys just let out breaths. Brianna glancing at them with a raised eyebrow.
"We're just making sure this kind of thing is never happening again." Kick shook his head.
"Agreed." Gunther nodded, folding his arms. Brianna just shook her head. 'You really…both of them are….you two are unbelievable!' She thought which Kick shared between him and Gunther, as she gave them both an unnoticed hard stare. 'It's not happening again!' Both thought simultaneously. 'We're not risking it.' She rolled her eyes at that, not believing her brother and Gunther's reactions. She just shook her head again.
They got up, walking again to head home. Kendall and Jackie couldn't say much to the boys' response but just exchanged a few glances, knowing they had their own thoughts about the matter. They walked down the path, a weird silence between them all, as Brianna definitely didn't like how her brother and Gunther were responding to this. Although, they all stopped, Brianna, Gunther and Kick getting a bit in front of the girls when they saw who was in front of them. The girls curious, worried and unsure of what was going on as they stayed close.
"Enjoying an early afternoon walk?" Someone questioned.
"Maybe we are." Brianna replied. The person somewhat laughed.
"What do you want Clara?" Kick narrowed his eyes at the girl, also taking note to her cousin who was on her phone like always next to her. He knew his sister, nor he, couldn't always get a read on them.
"Thought we check in." Clara commented. "You know since you both had your sudden absence from school." She quirked. Gunther and Kick glared at that.
"We're fine." Gunther responded. "Nothing for you to worry about."
"I don't think that's necessarily true." Clara had a small chuckle and smug smile, which Kick, Gunther, Brianna and Mouth disliked.
"Is that right." Brianna said.
"Couldn't help but notice the sudden stop in the attacks lately." Clara brought up. "Plus the forces being called a few weeks ago." She mentioned. "Although…" She glanced at her cousin next to her. "Myra, do you recall anything special in those reports or important….shall I say?" She had a devious smirk. The four just continued to glare.
"You know better than to bring anything up like that…." Kick started to warn, his look threatening.
"Oh cut the bullshit Kick." Clara interrupted. Brianna hating were this was about to go, as was Gunther as he didn't need to be a mind reader to know what she was going to say. Kick had a deadly look. "They might not be in the report, but we know they were there." She glanced at the girls. "We know they know." She had a tone about the way she said that, that all of them didn't like. "Plus Marcello practically made it clear who he had there." She said.
"That so." Mouth folded his arms. "So what's the point of your lovely visit?"
"Simple, wanting to remind you…mainly you two, being we now know a few more things as well," She still had a devious look. "That you need to follow rules." She then glanced at the girls. "Or else." Kendall and Jackie glanced at each other not liking the sound of that, although, both knew they heard that before.
"Threaten them, and it's the last thing you'll ever do." Gunther was about to move, however Kick kept him from doing so.
"We know the rules Clara." Kick still kept his look.
"Do you?" She asked. "Because I thought Ronaldo did, however it seems he, Gordie and even Debbie are nowhere to be seen. So it seems these two are under your jurisdiction." She shrugged. "But it also seems you might need some reminding as I recalled someone saying that they would never find out…" She quipped, looking at Brianna who just glared at her, ready to pounce. However, Mouth kept her from doing so, knowing Clara was just taunting them purposely for a fight like always.
"We get it." Kick and Gunther gritted through their teeth. Clara chuckled.
"Glad to hear." She had a smug smile. "As I'm sure those in London will need to know you are handling things, just like you did with Marcello." The way she said that, Kick and Gunther just hated because they knew she was being wicked at this point, her tone almost mocking and amused by the entire thing. Kendall glanced at that comment. 'London… that place again…' She thought.
"Personally I think London should stay out of our affairs." Kick retorted. "Hell, you all been meddling too damn much."
"Agreed." Gunther added. "And that's been for a long while now."
"Is that right?" Clara snickered. "Well, be sure to do what you're supposed to and I'm sure they will." She shrugged. They just continued to glare at that. "Just a reminder….remember, being you know the rules well enough." She stared at them with fake care and a mocking, worry tone. "Plus you wouldn't want anything to happen to them. Seeing as I hear, or have heard you're with these humans now." She glanced at the girls then them. "You must care for them so deeply…" The boys tightened their fists at that.
"Watch yourself Clara." Both warned, a threatening expression gracing their features. She just snickered.
"I guess I'm right. I guess congrats are in order." She mused. "But it just means you best listen, being you don't want things to happen right?" She smirked, which only pissed them of more. "I didn't think so." She finished, as if she achieved something. "Anyway, that's the message. Plus you know that we're informing London….as always." She looked at Myra. "Just letting you know." She turned around to walk away. "Have fun and take care." She chuckled, which they hated she was enjoying this so much.
Myra glanced up from her phone that she had been texting on the whole time, looking at her cousin then at Kick and the others. Kick and the others noticed Myra looking at them.
"Something wrong?" Brianna inquired.
"I don't understand…" She spoke, her voice neutral yet soft as she had an inquisitive expression towards them.
"Understand what?" Gunther was somewhat curious although more suspicious.
"How anyone can go against the rules…" She pondered. She glanced at the girls. "They're just humans. Useless, worthless ones at that. Especially these ones, there's nothing good about them." She added. "It makes no sense, so I don't understand…" She breathed, both boys glaring at those insults. "London, most likely will not like this…not the choices, not anything…." She folded her arms, keeping her phone close. "But I will never understand…" She mentioned. "Especially when it comes to choosing humans." She concluded, turning, going back to her phone and walking away.
The others didn't like what she said, Kick and Gunther mostly, as they grabbed Jackie and Kendall, starting to walk again. Brianna and Mouth following as they headed back to their neighborhood, the tension thicker than it was before as the girls didn't know what to think about what just happened. They had a lot on their minds now with this confrontation.
