"Fear of me, Terror." The Sonozaki patriarch laughed as he descended the stairs.
"Why?!" Shoutaro managed to gather enough courage to shout his question as he leaned on the glass railing, still shivering in fear of the Sonozaki patriarch.
"I'm assuming you're asking why I let you live even after knowing who was really behind Kamen Rider W?" Ryubei stopped walking.
Shoutaro focused on Ryubei's words, still shivering from the terror of being in the presence of the Sonozaki.
"It was a shame that Narumi Soukichi perished under Fumine's, no Shroud's, request." Ryubei commented facing the Joker-half of W. "I suppose the two of them having known each other since they were children might have been a factor."
Shoutaro frowned; the Sonozaki patriarch did not answer the question.
"I have to admit, you had grown, Hidari-kun." Ryubei praised. "Gone was the boy who looked like a lost puppy who kept following Narumi-kun around," He looked at the museum's ceiling. "Between the two of us, I have always kept tabs on you even before Narumi-kun was killed retrieving Raito from Museum."
"S-still, why?" Shoutaro gulped.
"I was intrigued, you could say, and I wanted Raito to grow until at least he can use the Xtreme Memory."
Ryubei turned his back on the shivering detective and continued walking toward his initial destination.
Shoutaro gathered the courage to stand up, albeit shakily, and was determined to find Terui.
Maybe with the Sonozaki patriarch nowhere nearby, he'd be able to help his fellow Kamen Rider in retrieving the Evil Tail.
