Words:
As that Friday came in during their Spring Break, the girls still can't help but feel things are off. They walked through the park to their neighborhood, knowing that the last conversation with the boys was interesting to say the least. However, they still can't help but have unanswered questions, especially regarding the London students, the hunters and these rules.
"Kends, if you keep thinking about it and making that face, it's going to get stuck that way." Jackie commented noticing her expression as they walked home. Kendall let out a breath.
"I can't help it." Kendall replied. "I know there is something more to all of this, plus a few other things they don't want to tell us about with the London students." She glanced. "I mean you saw how they avoided that last question. They pretty much reverted back to how they use to answer, saying they'll handle things, which pretty much means, 'you guys don't need to know this stuff, unless it's important for you to know." She pretended to say that in what she thought was Kick or Gunther's tone, which Jackie chuckled at, giving her a look.
"I don't think that's necessarily how they sound, but the phrasing is accurate." Jackie told her. "Although you forgot to add on, 'Or unless we're in a dangerous situation like the Marcello or blood thing." She also tried to mimic their tone, which Kendall raised an eyebrow at her. "Yeah….I guess I'm not that great at it either." She scratched behind her head, as they came into their neighborhood, heading to Kendall's.
"I just think there has to be something more, but I don't know what it is…" They entered Kendall's home, Jackie closing the door behind them. Jackie went to go sit on the couch as Kendall went to grab some drinks and snacks for them as they continued to work this out.
"I agree, but personally I don't see them telling us." Jackie reasoned. "Look at how they've been thus far with the Marcello thing, the blood thing, hell pretty much everything." She let out her own exasperated breath. "I mean seriously, I'm starting to think Gunther rather keep these secrets than tell me anything, plus the fact he said he wasn't going to tell me to begin with….how am I supposed to feel about that?" She questioned. "I mean….we're a couple….and….I don't know, there is something off about that right?" She looked at Kendall when she walked into the living room with everything, sitting the drinks and snacks on the table. Kendall looked at her.
"Well, to be honest there's something off about all of this." Kendall remarked. "But yes, there is." She agreed. "Though, they're reasoning….it was somewhat….logical….somewhat." She sat down, leaning back against the cushions.
"I guess…" Jackie thought about. "I mean, I get they don't want to change us." She spoke. "I have my mom, and at the time they assumed you had your parents and sister, which now you just have your sister. But yeah, it…somewhat makes sense." Jackie shrugged. "But….I just still feel off about this topic… especially since…they didn't even want to tell us…tell me about who he was…." Jackie glanced down. Kendall looked at her.
"Well you heard how secrecy was the most important thing for them." Kendall repeated what the boys said. "It just kinda does suck how that…impacts their decisions." Kendall decided to phrase it that way.
"Sure, if that's what you'll call it." Jackie responded. "Just…makes me wonder, where we actually are in our relationship…or even…where I really stand in his view..." She breathed. Kendall understood where she was coming from, nodding in agreement.
She turned on the TV, so they could stream something. It was silent for a bit as they just tried to focus on the show they were watching, however their minds were too preoccupied with other things. Jackie having everything come back, with her mom, the fact Gunther didn't want to tell her anything, plus there could be more he might be hiding with these London students. Kendall feeling some similar emotions and thoughts. Kendall let out a breath as everything was getting to her and after a few episodes of the show, it was doing nothing for her. Although, she could bet it wasn't doing anything for either of them.
"Okay." Kendall broke the silence, stopping the show, Jackie looking at her. "If we want answers, we know we have to get them probably on our own." She glanced at Jackie.
"Probably, but last time we did that, we got kidnapped." Jackie reminded. "And if we try to do that again….well where do we even begin to look, let alone who to ask, especially if we want answers." She continued. Kendall let out a breath.
"Sadly, there's a source I may know that we can go to." Kendall swallowed, as she was unsure about this idea and not liking it that much, but thought it might be the only option.
"Really, who?" Jackie was curious. Kendall glanced away, still not sure if this was a great idea, nor liking it. Jackie could see her uneasiness. "Kends?" Kendall let out another breath.
"If…if we really want answers…." She swallowed again. "I'll have to call the Trenton girls again." She glanced at Jackie. "He'll know….he'll know a lot…" She concluded. Jackie was shocked.
"Kends, no." Jackie shook her head.
"If we want answers, I have to." Kendall reasoned. "Besides, he's the only one I can think of…" She said. "I can do it alone…it just won't be…the easiest, but maybe I need this… for my own closure." She thought.
"Not alone you won't." Jackie assured, telling her. Kendall looked at her. "I'll be there with you."
"Jackie, you don't have to…" Kendall was about to argue.
"Don't tell me I don't have to." Jackie countered. "I will. I'm coming, no if's, and's, buts, or, ors about it." She insisted. "I'm your best friend, hell we're like sisters. And there's no way I'm letting you do this alone." She reassured. "You'll never do this alone, or anything alone, especially when facing him." Kendall smiled at her with that.
"Then…we'll do this together." Kendall commented. Jackie nodded. The two sitting back and wanting to prepare for the next day, as they watched some more TV.

As night came, Brianna was waiting for Kick to come home, knowing he was out with Gunther doing some stunts at the Gully. When he entered the house, she was on the stairs, giving him a look, her arms folded, a tension and aura coming off her that he certainly felt.
"You both should have told them." She came out and said, her tone pissed off, as this was bothering her for the past few days. She was hating the fact he was still avoiding several things with the girls, but was now even mind blocking her even more than usual. He gave her a look.
"We told them what they needed to know." Kick responded. "They know enough, and Gunther and I are not budging on not changing them." He stared at her. "We haven't changed our minds on that, so what's the issue?"
"The issue is, you both have amazing girlfriends. Both of which are willing to risk anything for you two, do so much for you two, and you fucking still want to keep things from them. Be this cruel to them, lie to them, and make them think you don't want to be with them fully?" She walked down the stairs, coming closer. "And personally now, I'm worried about how far both of you are willing to go so you won't change them." She glared.
"Don't worry about it Bri." He huffed out, looking away. She narrowed her eyes furthered.
"You're both hiding something, even from me now." She pointed at him, which he just gave her a hard stare. "How far are you willing to go with this? Because the way I see this going, none of it will work out." She spat. "For either of you, in fact it will ruin everything that you two want so fucking badly. Is that what you want?" He started to shake his head walking away.
"Just stay out if Brianna." He snapped. "You meddling will only fuck things up too." She kept her glare.
"So that's how this is going to be now?" She retorted. "You're both just going to keep secrets, even from family. Just do this. Mind block, do this hidden thing…" She continued. "You both really want to do this, want to pull this shit now? After everything?" They both locked eyes with each other, the tension thick in the air, as their stares were hard at each other. "You're really going to start this…you're going to draw those lines?"
"I'm not drawing the lines Bri." He quipped. "You are. You're meddling when you don't need to. So butt out of it." She shook her head, her eyes still locked with his.
"You're unbelievable. You both are." She told him. "We all care for those girls! We all want what's best for them and you two." She commented. "We want to protect them, keep them safe." She added. "You act like we don't care or want them safe. But even worst you act like they don't matter!" She glared. "You both finally have everything you ever wanted and it seems like with all these actions you're throwing it all away! Is that what you want?" She questioned.
"This has nothing to do with you Bri, so stay out of it." His stared hardened. "You know nothing, so stop trying to mess with things, when all it will do is make things worse."
"This isn't going to end well, I hope you both know that. And I will find out what you two are doing." She told him.
"Goodnight Bri." He rolled his eyes. "We're done here." He spoke, his tone harsh as he headed up the stairs. She watched, folding her arms, letting out a breath, when he was gone.
