If you want to get in the mood, I listened to "As Long As He's Safe (How to train your dragon 3 soundtrack) while writing this. I love that song and it's always a good time to listen to soundtracks, right?
Chapter Text
"Forget the door, we're doomed anyway," Fin whispered. Olivia's eyes caught Elliot's gaze, and all she saw was pure horror.

Olivia felt dizzy as she looked at the co-pilot lying on the floor in front of her. Her vision began to blur, and she closed her eyes. She suddenly thought of Cragen, who had probably already heard that they had not arrived at their destination. Someone must know that they were prisoners on a plane that had got out of hand, she realized. But then what? No one could jump through the air to the controllers of their plane. Suddenly she felt the hand on her shoulder.
"Liv," there was Elliot's voice. Olivia opened her eyes and faced her partner's ultramarine eyes. He had crouched in front of her. "You have to breathe."
Olivia realized that she was still holding her breath, and took a deep breath. The knot in her stomach did not loosen, but the dizziness eased. Her eyes filled with tears.
"What are we gonna do?" She whispered. Tears also glistened in Elliot's eyes, and he lowered his gaze.
"I wish I'd know."
"Hey guys," there was Munch's voice in the cockpit. Everyone turned to look at him. "Brown and I checked out the situation a little bit. The plane is flying on autopilot, so that's why we're still alive."
"Cold comfort," Fin mumbled.
"But that's the good news. We have a strong suspicion that the flight has been sabotaged. The criminal organization may have found out our work, so they have decided to eliminate us. One of the pilots, possibly the co-pilot, has been involved."
"But the co-pilot is dead," Cassidy blurted out suspiciously.
"The co-pilot's murder had probably timed so that he had time to do his part but won't confess it afterwards," Brown rubbed his forehead. "So in other words, they deceived him."
"Fuel is low, none of us can fly, the radio is silent… He may have turned off the GPS as well. It is possible that no one currently knows our exact location," Munch continued. "But if I can trust my geography skills and we've been flying in the same direction all the time, we're probably somewhere above the wilderness areas of Canada."
Elliot moaned. "Perfect."
"But so far we're still alive, and we still have a moment to think about the plan…" A loud bang interrupted Munch, and a piercing warning sound filled the cockpit.
"What's going on?" Cassidy's voice was a couple of octaves higher than usual. Brown was as pale as a ghost.
"Autopilot turned off."
Then the plane swayed violently and dropped a little.
"Hey guys, now would be a good time to tell us if you can fly an airplane," Fin's voice was panicked. Brown grabbed the captain, pulled him down, and sat down in his seat. Then he grabbed the radio and dabbed it for a moment.
"Hello? Mayday! Mayday!" He shouted. However, the radio was silent, and Brown threw it away furiously. Then the plane swayed violently again and began to tremble. He grabbed the controls.
"Do you even know what you're doing?" Elliot cried out. Brown's mouth was just a thin line, and he squeezed the controls. His knuckles turned white.
"No, but we don't seem to have much to lose," he blurted out. Elliot swallowed and glanced at Olivia, whose eyes glimmered with terror. Then he roared desperately and sat down in the co-pilot's seat.
"Elliot!" Olivia exclaimed and grabbed her partner's arm. "What are you doing?!"
"Something," Elliot said almost calmly. Then he looked at them. "You have to go sit down, it's going to be a bumpy road."
Cassidy, Munch, and Fin turned on their heels and staggered back into their seats along an unevenly swinging corridor. However, Olivia still squeezed Elliot's arm.
"Go, Liv," Elliot begged. "You have to leave."
"But…" Olivia mumbled. "How about your kids?"
Tears streamed on Elliot's cheeks. "They know I love them and I always will."
"But you'll die here," Olivia sobbed. "We're all going to die."
"Then it doesn't matter where I sit."
"But you'll surely die here."
Elliot closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and turned his gaze to Olivia. Tears made his blue eyes sparkle like an ocean in the sunlight.
"At least I know I died trying to save you," he whispered softly. Olivia's vision blurred with tears, and as the plane swayed, her grip on Elliot's hand broke.
"Go, Liv!" Elliot's voice was begging, and tears soaked Olivia's cheeks as she turned and stumbled to sit next to Cassidy. At that moment, the plane dropped fiercely and Olivia heard Cassidy's voice.
"Liv, I love you," he sobbed. Olivia didn't get words from her mouth because of sobbing, but she turned to look at him and wrapped her arms around his neck. The tops of the trees appeared behind the clouds, and Olivia removed her hands, put them behind her neck, and bowed to the emergency landing position. As the noise intensified and the plane fluctuated uncontrollably, Olivia closed her eyes, and suddenly she saw Elliot in her mind. They were sitting on the beach after work drinking coffee and he was telling Olivia a story she couldn't remember. Instead, she remembered how Elliot looked at her, remembered Elliot's smiling face and the blue eyes that sparkled like the gleaming sea. For a little while the warmth filled Olivia's heart, and then everything went black.
