Just Trust Us:

As a few days seem to pass, things still aren't sitting well with either of the girls. They have more unanswered questions then they did before and couldn't figure out how to connect anything, or how to get answers. They were getting stuck. It was like they were going in circles.

Jackie felt even more stress about things because of more questions about her background and wanting to talk to her mom. However, with her mom so busy, and needing to rest, she wasn't sure where to begin or if she should. She was just unsure of many things. And she couldn't help but think of Gunther's words as well, which wasn't helping at all.

Kendall, on the other hand, wasn't sure if things weren't sitting well because the closure she got was how it was supposed to be or wasn't. She said most of, if almost all she needed to, but it still wasn't enough, it felt like there were many things missing. But now it didn't matter. Even more, it never would change his view on anything regarding her friends. Although, what frustrated her more, is that he wished her happiness. She knew one thing. He meant it. It wasn't him asking for forgiveness, but him saying goodbye in his own way. Which hurt more than it should. Wishing them happiness. His words were haunting. Amongst other things as she thought about it, but it was like it was all she could think about.

As the week was coming to an end, the boys couldn't help but notice the girls seemed a bit distracted as they walked back from school. Back from the skate park precisely as Kick and Gunther had wanted to do a few stunts. They didn't know what was up, but they figured they should ask as they got into Kendall's, since they couldn't remember the last time the girls were so distracted.

"Hey you girls okay?" Gunther wondered as the two boys went to sit on the lounge chairs.

"Yeah, you girls have been pretty distracted this week?" Kick brought up. "There a lot going on in student council or your classes or something?" Both girls couldn't help but look at each other with that as they brought out some snacks and drinks. They stayed standing as a lot raced through their minds, both letting out silent breaths.

Both boys were worried. "Kends?" "Jackie?" They spoke simultaneously. Kendall let out another breath, before looking at Kick.

"We still….there was just…." She tried to find the right words with everything that was going on in her mind. "We had a lot of questions still….many unsettled things…" She finally said. This caught both boys' attentions. "So we went to see my father." She admitted. "Which…"She swallowed. "For me…left more things unanswered and unsettled than they did before." She commented. Jackie glanced at her, before looking away, knowing that was more than accurate. Kick had wide eyes, as he couldn't believe it, his mouth a little dry. Gunther also a bit taken back as he looked over at Kick and the girls, making sure he heard correctly.

"Wait…you…you went to see your father?" Kick questioned. "For information?" He continued. "The man…who…" He shook his head as he didn't even want to think about what he did.

"Yes." Was all Kendall replied. Kick still couldn't believe it.

"Why…why would you do that?" He inquired. "Why would you put yourself through that? What if…I mean that man…" Kick really didn't know what to think at the moment.

"Kick enough, there's nothing left to say because he's no longer here okay." Kendall couldn't help but get somewhat emotional. Kick got quiet, both boys were shocked at that, as there was a tension in the air. Jackie glanced at Kendall, knowing that was going to take its toll on her at some point. "He's gone…dead in fact, so you no longer have to worry about anything…none of us do…." She glanced away. Kick looked at her.

"Kends…" Kick's voice was quiet.

"Besides we only went because we had some unanswered questions." Kendall stated. "Since it seems clear you guys still don't want to be honest with us and we don't know why." She folded her arms. "I mean after everything, I mean everything…. you think we would have earned it." She glanced at him. "But who knows maybe being your guys' girlfriends means nothing." She looked down. Both boys swallowed hard with as the girls felt the same.

"Kends…" "Jackie…" They spoke simultaneously.

"What…She's not wrong." Jackie agreed. "I mean you guys say you'll handle things, which is just code telling us we don't need to know about it until it's life threatening again." She squeezed her arms. "And why does it have to be like that?" She looked at Gunther. "Why can't you trust us the way we trust you?" She wondered. "Everyone keeps saying we don't know you, or that you keep hiding things that will make us change our views, or whatever." Both boys did silent glances with that.

"But can't you see we love you two, and know you well enough that when we risk our lives, several times over in fact, just like you two have done for us, that means something." Kendall came in. "The blood thing, the Marcello thing, it all doesn't matter because we would do it over, to help and save you guys."

"Kends is right, so can't you guys see that and just trust us, especially with that fact that we know and can trust you?" Jackie said. Both boys let out sighs, Kick being the first to get up which Gunther noticed.

"I'm sorry." He looked at Kendall before embracing her, which she sank into. "I didn't know you were going through a lot this week, and I'm sorry I'm adding to it, because I shouldn't be." He apologized. "I just want to protect you Kends."

"I know Kick," He let go only slightly so she could look up at him. "But you…you both have to realize we can handle ourselves too, you know." She told him. "We can help when it's needed."

"I know." He nodded, hugging her again, breathing in her scent. Kendall just settling into it for those few minutes.

Jackie smiled, softly, knowing Kendall needed that, as she saw their small moment. Though, Gunther pulled her close to him for an embrace of their own, which she wasn't expecting, but she sank into it, being that she subconsciously needed it too. He couldn't help but hold her closer, feeling she needed the hug as well.

"You girls…you girls have to understand one thing…" Gunther's voice was soft, as he didn't want to interrupt things, but he had to say this. "We don't want you two to know too much because it can only place you in more danger. Especially with London." He informed. Jackie glanced up at him. Kendall also looking at Kick. "Things are a lot more complicated than we wish, but if you knew less of it, and let us just handle these things with London, it be okay." He stated.

"Gunther's right." Kick agreed. "It's not like we purposely want to keep you in the dark, in fact when it's done, we'll answer your questions and settle these feelings you have." Kick added. "You just have to trust we're doing this to protect you. We are warning you in fact, being you girls said you wanted to know the potential dangers." He brought up, as he looked at her. "London is that danger." He breathed. "And we want them as far from you…want to protect you from it…from them as best as we can because…we don't want to lose you two or let anything happen to you two." He cupped Kendall's cheek. "Does that make sense? Does that help?"

Kendall let out a small breath of her own, slightly glancing at Jackie, who had her head on Gunther's chest as they embraced. Although, Jackie couldn't help but have a small look aimed towards her as well, before the two relented, closing their eyes and looking at the boys.

"Yeah…" They both spoke.

"We can wait a bit for those answers." Jackie nodded.

"We trust you boys." Kendall mentioned. Kick smiled as he kissed her forehead before kissing her gently.

"Good, we're glad." He replied gently, hugging her again.

"I'm happy we got this all sorted, but why don't we get some fun games out, movies, and make this a fun evening." Gunther suggested. "Something tells me, you girls need it."

"Plus we can also plan a few fun weekends given we don't have much of our Senior year left, and it be nice to enjoy the rest of it right?" Kick also offered. "I think all this supernatural and hunters stuff needs to go on a back burner for a while." The girls had some small giggles.

"Sounds great." They agreed.

"Let me just get a few more drinks for us." Kendall brought up, knowing they would go through their drinks quickly. Jackie followed as they went into the kitchen. The boys let out few silent sighs. 'Good thing we settled that.' Gunther thought, glancing at Kick. 'Yeah…it's better this way.' Kick agreed. 'Now we just have to deal with the others…mainly my sister.' He informed Gunther, who nodded.

The girls grabbed the drinks. Jackie looking over at Kendall, giving her a small smile. "That went better than we thought." She spoke quietly. "And we'll….well at least we'll get answers eventually." She commented.

"I know." Kendall breathed. "I trust them…I trust Kick." She let out. "We just have to be patient….for a bit longer." She glanced at her, a small smile gracing her lips. "Besides with senior year ending soon, Summer coming and college just around the corner, who knows what awaits right?" She smiled. Jackie nodded.

"Right." The two headed back into the living room so they could figure out with the boys if they wanted to play games first or watch something, or do both as they plan some dates before senior year ends.
