Sensations
I actually had this UF!Asriel/UF!Frisk partially written for a while and just finished it today. Basically it's an alternate pacifist ending where Asriel gets his body back and they hang out at the beach with a lot of background for this AU put into it.
...
Asriel sat on the bench outside the beach changing rooms, waiting for Frisk and Chara to come out. He closed his eyes, enjoying the warm sun, breathing in the salty ocean air as the gentle breeze lifted and tickled his fur. Every sensation felt new and different and strange in his newly resurrected form.
It had been two months since Alphys had found a cure for the Amalgamates. And in that she had found a way to give Asriel his old body back and not have it disintegrate due to the high Determination in his soul like it had after the barrier had broken. Nearly a month since Asriel had decided to trade petals and leaves for fur and arms and legs. A week since he had been allowed out of the the lab once Alphys and Sans were sure his body wouldn't melt again and he had relearned how to walk and use his hands.
He glanced down at said hands, which were resting on his knees. He tapped his fingers on his legs, watching the movement.
He had had this body for sixteen years before dying and becoming Flowey, and yet sometimes it felt like it was no longer his. He had been Flowey for chronologically three years, probably a lot longer considering resets. He had learned to use his vines to do almost everything his hands could and trained himself on how to move without legs. It had been hard, and there were things he still couldn't do even with all his determination, but he had adapted. He had even been happy.
Before he died, he had always acted tough, desperately wanting to make his father proud, but nothing he did ever seemed to make him happy. He had tried so hard to please his dad and kept up a facade so long that he barely knew who "Asriel" was. Only when he was alone with his mom or Chara did he feel like himself.
After he had died and opened his eyes as a little yellow flower with a damaged soul, its pieces bound together by Determination, and after he realized the kind of monster his father truly was, he had finally made a new life on his own. It had been lonely, and he had to hide, but in a way, he was more of his own person than he ever was as Asriel. And when Frisk arrived, his personality had truly bloomed, no pun intended. They had quickly become friends and being with her, helping her, he had become the person he knew he was truly meant to be. When he looked in the mirror, he finally liked the monster he saw looking back at him.
As Flowey, he had done things he had once never thought himself capable of. He had fought at Frisk's side along with a ghostly Chara, confronted his father, helped to break the barrier(though he was Asriel through part of that), resurrected his sibling, and became an ambassador for monsters along with Frisk and Chara. Together the three of them had brought a peace between humans and monsters that was never thought possible.
He had fallen in love with Frisk as Flowey, had confessed to her, had held and kissed her. But with that came a new longing. He wanted to hold her with real arms instead of vines, to cuddle her against his chest, to walk beside her instead of being carried in a pot or boot. When Alphys called up that fateful day with news of the cure for both the Amalgamates and himself, he knew it was possible. For the first time in a long time, he felt the desire to become Asriel again, though it was also mixed with the fear that he would revert back to who he once was. Logically he knew that becoming Asriel again wouldn't force him to revert, but emotionally he still feared he would no longer be himself.
It took talks with his therapist, and long conversations with both Frisk and Chara to reassure him that he could be whoever he wanted to be regardless of the form he was in. The two were endlessly supportive, letting him know that he had been just as good a person as Asriel as he was as Flowey, but also that they would be happy no matter what form he chose.
So, after much thought, he called up Alphys and said he wanted to become Asriel again.
He had feared the resurrection would be painful, but it had been as simple as going to sleep as Flowey and waking up as Asriel. The hardest part had been the rehabilitation, learning to use his body again after having lived as a flower for so long.
And now that he had gotten completely used to his body, Frisk had happily suggested a beach trip to celebrate his recovery. He had loved the beach as Flowey, but the salt water had badly irritated his roots, so he couldn't go in the ocean. But now he could, and he was especially looking forward to that, even if it meant wet goat fur.
He tapped his fingers impatiently again, hoping Chara and Frisk would be out of the changing room soon. He had no idea why they always took so long.
And at that moment his sibling and girlfriend stepped out of the changing room, smiling. Asriel's eyes nearly popped out of his head as he got to see Frisk in her blue bikini for the first time as Asriel, and it was definitely worth the wait. He had seen it before as Flowey, had of course found her beautiful, but it was a breathtaking new sensation in his new body, one that made him feel the need to take a dive in the cold ocean.
"Wow, Frisk, you look incredible!" Asriel breathed. Despite that he had gotten used to walking again, his legs still felt wobbly as he went to her and took her in his arms. Her skin was so soft to the touch, her body so warm in his arms as she snuggled into his chest. It made him realize how much his sense of touch had been dulled as Flowey. Holding her in his arms felt so, so much better than attempting to hug her with vines.
A pretty blush appeared on her cheeks. "T-Thanks. You look pretty damn good yourself." she told him with a smile, running her hands over his chest, admiring him in his swim trunks.
He pulled back slightly to look at her, admiring the way her brown eyes sparkled, how her long brown hair, tied in a ponytail to keep it out of her way, gave her a cute, sporty look. He cupped her cheek, smiling as she leaned into the touch, and leaned in slowly, kissing her.
He never got tired of kissing Frisk, both as Flowey and Asriel, but it was even better like this, not having to climb to her level or asking her to bend down or pick him up. And just like seeing her in that bikini, kissing her as Asriel stirred things deep inside him that he hadn't been able to feel due to the limitations in his Flowey body. Holding her like this, kissing her like this, made sparks fill him and he kissed her deeper, forgetting Chara, forgetting everyone else here.
"Hey, get a room!" Chara said playfully, breaking both of them out of their trance.
"Sorry." they both said sheepishly, pulling away.
Chara shook their head with a smile. "It's fine. Now, c'mon, let's go to the beach! Sans and Papyrus are there already waiting for us." They darted ahead, heading towards the stairs that led down to the beach.
Asriel held out his hand for Frisk. "Ready?"
"Ready." she said with a smile, taking his hand. Asriel smiled and happily squeezed it. Her hand fit perfectly into his.
Walking hand in hand with her was another huge bonus to being Asriel. Before, she had to carry him, or he had to wrap himself around her arm. Sometimes he could follow her by digging his way through the ground if they were outside, but on the surface that ran the risk of him getting stepped on, tripped over, or worse, peed on by a dog.
Freaking poodles.
And as another huge bonus, stairs were much easier now that he actually had legs(though gliding down the railing as Flowey had been fun too, except for the time he forgot the railing had a post at the end). And as he stepped into the sand at the bottom of the stairs, his feet sunk into it and he sighed happily, wiggling his toes. Having feet was nice.
"Hey, there's Chara and Sans!" Frisk pointed out, and hand in hand, the couple walked over to them.
"...Seriously, Sans, you should take off that giant coat. You're on the beach. You don't want to overheat, do you?" Chara was asking the short skeleton, who was sitting on his beach towel, wearing his normal outfit, including his giant leather coat with the furred collar. And it was getting him quite a few weird looks.
Sans rolled his eyes. "I'm a skeleton, Dollface. Don't feel the heat that much, unless it's lava or something."
"Well, you're making me hot just looking at you." Chara sighed, putting their hands on their hips. "And seriously, it wouldn't be comfortable getting sand up that thing. And another thing, quit calling me that!"
"Geez, you're really channeling your inner Toriel." Sans groaned, though did slip his jacket off, leaving himself in just a T-shirt and shorts. He then grinned at them. "I bet the only reason you made me take off my coat was that you wanted to see me with less clothes on. You gonna ask me to take off my shirt next, Dollface?"
Chara rolled their eyes, though Asriel noticed their prominent blush got slightly darker. "Oh please. I just didn't want to see the fashion disaster that was you wearing a winter jacket on the beach. And I told you, STOP calling me Dollface!"
Sans winked. "Whatever you say, Dollface."
Asriel shook his head as Chara and Sans started to argue. He never got their love-hate thing. It had been that way since Chara had been resurrected. Chara would grumble about Sans and Sans would deliberately try to get under their skin one minute, then they'd be hanging out at Grillby's and sharing bad puns the next. Frisk had said it was because Sans and Chara could understand each other the best, both being older siblings that tried to take care of their younger ones in a Kill or Be Killed world but their personalities sometimes clashed. Yet they seemed to actually enjoy arguing.
Their relationship was definitely a weird one. But Asriel was glad Chara was happy regardless.
"Well, it looks like they're going to be...occupied a while." he sighed to Frisk.
Frisk nodded with a smile. "Wanna head to the water?"
Asriel grinned. "Sounds great."
They headed down towards the ocean, stopping to wave to Papyrus. The tall skeleton, dressed in a red tank top and black shorts along with his usual ripped scarf, was sitting in front of an enormous half finished sandcastle, a bunch of adoring kids around him as he explained in great detail on how to build the coolest and most realistic sand castle. A few soccer moms were with them, with one even looking like she was subtly flirting with him. Asriel wasn't surprised when it went right over Papyrus's head.
He and Frisk waded into the sea, and Asriel sighed happily as the cool water lapped around his legs. Though things quickly heated up once again as he was treated to the luscious sight of Frisk bending down in her bikini to pick up a shell. He quickly waded nearly up to his waist to try to cool off, though that wasn't easy when he had a hot girlfriend. And it got even less easy when she came out to join him and he caught her eyes running over his chest admiringly.
"Having fun?" she asked him with a smile.
"With you? Always." he grinned. "Cool water, warm sand, great view, you in a bikini...Actually, I think I mentioned the "great view," thing twice."
She giggled and wrapped her arms around him. "You're really enjoying being Asriel again, aren't you?"
Asriel nodded. "Actually...yeah. It's pretty damn good having arms and legs again. Plus, it's great to actually be able to get in the water rather than sitting on the shore because the salt bothered my roots. And...it's like I can feel everything so much more, and I didn't even realize what was missing until I got my old body back. I don't know what I was so afraid of. Becoming Asriel again didn't stop me from being...me." He played absently with a strand of hair that had escaped her ponytail. "You taught me that."
Frisk nodded with a smile. "No matter what form you take, you'll always be that wonderful boy who helped a lost human in the Ruins. I loved you as Flowey and I love you now, both every bit as much."
"And that's what helped me gain the courage to become me again." Asriel told her softly. "I knew no matter what happened, what path I chose, you'd love me. You taught me to love myself. And now, I can really hold you the way you held me. To feel everything in my body that I felt in my mind for you. And...that's the thing I love most about being Asriel again."
He pulled her into a kiss, holding her bikini clad body close to him as he savored every sensation. The slight taste of salt over the normal taste of her, the way her body shifted and pressed into his own, inviting sensations he had once forgotten as Flowey. The butterflies in his stomach, the sparks that filled his now fully repaired soul. The way her hands ran over his shirtless chest, making him shiver. The soft, silky feeling of her hair as he cupped a hand around the back of her head, drawing her closer as he deepened the kiss...
And then a big wave struck them, causing them both to yelp as they fell into the water with a splash. The wave pushed them back to shore, Frisk on top of Asriel in a rather intimate position. They stared at each other in shock.
And then they burst out laughing, even as people stared at them. Frisk quickly got off Asriel, smiling and holding out her hand to help him up. He blushed and took it, getting up and brushing the sand off him, smiling apologetically at the people around him.
Frisk squeezed his hand reassuringly, then leaned closer to him to whisper in his ear. "Hey. You wanna go somewhere more...private?" she asked with a slight seductive tone.
Asriel's cheeks turned bright red, but he nodded eagerly, taking his girlfriend's hand as they went to find a more secluded area of the beach.
It was a great day to be Asriel.
