Haris=Thor

Aarif=Loki

Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed across the night sky creating a beautiful scene.

As the first drops of rain began to fall, a small child bounded up the stairs to the palace balcony excitedly, followed by his not-so-excited younger brother.

"Thor-brother, are you sure we should be heading out in the rain-I mean we'll get-wet" said the younger one. It seemed he didn't like rain.

"Oh come on, Loki!" said Thor. "It'll be fun!" and continued walking up to the balcony hurriedly. Loki rolled his eyes and followed along, knowing he won't be able to dissuade his brother now. Soon enough, they reached the balcony doors and Thor pushed them open.

As soon as he did, the wind blew fiercely and sent shivers of cold waves down on them but Thor didn't mind. He went into the raging storm as if it was nothing. Loki, however stood near the door, keeping it open, not wanting to get himself wet from the rain.

Thor made his way to the balcony's railings and gripped them tightly, looking upwards at the stormy sky with wonder, getting wet. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky and thunder rumbled. The bolt of lightning sent a shiver of excitement down Thor's spine as he watched, a look of utmost happiness on his face. The wind whipped on Thor's face and the rain continued to fall, wetting him head to toe but Thor didn't care. All he knew was that he had a special connection with the lightning. He didn't know what but he knew he had one.

Another bolt of lightning struck and Thor shouted, looking at the silohette of his brother standing against the door, holding it open, "Loki, look! Isn't it amazing?!"

He saw Loki nod non-excitedly and turned back to look at the sky, admiring the lightning. He found it amazing how strong just one bolt of lightning could be and how it struck fear in the hearts of people all around. His adrenaline seemed to be jumping up as he stared.

"Thor?" came a voice from behind him as he watched.

"Mmhmm?" he said, still staring at the sky.

"Perhaps, we should head inside...you know-the storm is getting heavier..."

Thor turned around, looking at his brother. "Loki-" he started to say, walking towards him. Loki looked alarmed at Thor suddenly coming towards him. Thor grabbed a hold of his hand and started to pull him outside.

"Thor-what are you doing?!" asked Loki, refusing to be dragged into the storm.

"Come on brother! It'll be fun!" said Thor longingly.

"No" replied Loki defiantly. "I'm not going in the storm only to wet myself!"

"Do it for me" pleaded Thor giving Loki those puppy eyes he knew he so despised. Loki still looked in denial so Thor continued pleading "Please? For me?" He made his voice extra cute so Loki would agree.

"Fine" said Loki and Thor cheered as he let go of him. Loki closed his eyes and gulped. Then slowly, he put his foot forward and made his way toward the wet balcony.

Thor smiled and turned his gaze back at the sky. A particularly large flash of lightning flashed and Loki flinched and let out a small gasp. Thor immediately ran up to him and hugged him. "Loki, don't be afraid" comforted Thor. Loki smiled, hugging Thor back, all previous fear forgotten.

Another bolt of lightning flashed across the sky and Thor felt an adrenaline unlike any he had ever felt before. It made him bound up to the railing once more, this time with Loki at his heels.

Thor's sapphire blue eyes shone with an excitement, with a joy, with a light that made even Loki happy in this miserable weather. Thor was filled with a desire. The desire to be as strong as a bolt of lightning. He wanted to be as bold and strong as the lightning itself.

His adrenaline finally spiked up so high that he leaned against the railing and yelled to the night "I am Haris! Son of Omair! I am Thor!" and Loki couldn't help but grin at his brother's excitement.

So, this was all for this story and yes, it was a oneshot. This story takes place while Thor and Loki were still young and both didn't know they had powers...

I know, they're probably gonna get in a lot of trouble when Frigga finds out that they're getting themselves wet in the rain but anyway...had fun writing this one and I really hope you all like it.

Happy Reading! :)
