With a heavy sigh, Hajime sat down with Chiaki on the bench in the usual spot, with Chiaki pressing buttons on her handheld. While she was playing, her focus was more on her friend with an ice pack pressed on his left cheek.

"I swear, even though he knows I'm a reserve course student, he keeps punching me harder every time." He said. "And I didn't even even hit him this time! I feel like he has a grudge against me…"

"You know, you should really stop challenging him to fights yourself, even if it's to prove him wrong." Her eyes were following the bullet patterns in the game.

"Give me one good reason."

She opened her mouth-

"Besides beating me up"

"...He's the former Ultimate Boxer."

"..." He gasped silently, and slowly looked down at her.

"...Ultimate-what now?"

The gamer tilted her head slightly. "You didn't know that?"

He paused. "...W-Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Cuz you never asked." Hajime raised a finger for 3 seconds, trying to find the right words to refute her but alas, there were none, so he just sighed forward again, feeling like an idiot.

After a pause, Chiaki took a quick glance at his face before returning to her game.

"You know, Hajime…" She got his attention. "The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."

He blinked. "What I do…?" He looked at his free hand that he swung at (and missed) the boxer-turned-guard. It took a minute of near silence before he spoke again. "Did Miss Yukizome say that too?"

Surprisingly, she shook her head. "Nu-uh. It was Mewtwo."

"...eh? Mewtwo?" he stared dumbly as he wasn't what he heard was right. "You mean, that… that Pokemon?"

"Hm, hm. Yes, that one." She nodded. "I watched the first Pokemon movie the other day, and, he said those words towards the end. I felt like you could really use them. Maybe you could even use it on Mr. Sakakura. Fight him, not by fists, but with words."

"Hmm… Maybe…"

Her ship exploded and the familiar game over graced the screen. This gave her the chance to give him a smile.

"Hey, We should watch the movie together sometime. I can borrow my dad's old VHS player and we could have a watch party with the whole class." The prospect of that really showed the clear happiness in her face. "What do you think?"

He really liked it whenever she smiled. It's like, all his problems go away when he sees any excitement on her face. She has a dangerous smile that can melt the hearts of anybody who sees it (In a good way of course.)

He gave her a smile himself. "Yeah, that sounds fun! Let's do it on the weekends, then. How about it?" She doesn't mention it, but the same principle of the Bright Smile applies to herself and Hajime's. She nodded at him excitedly.

"Yeah, let's!"

And then they were back to silence, but at least they made a plan.

"Wanna play a turn? I'll hold the ice pack."

"..."

"...Thanks."

A/N +Bonus:

H: But what if words didn't work either?

C: Well, if that's the case, then…

C: Let me at 'em! My Dragon Punch is rusty anyway!

H: I-If it's rusty, then you can't even do damage, let alone get to him him.

C: Ah, good point.

This was just an idea that came to me yesterday. Thought it'd be nice to write something small for once. I also wrote it as an excuse to tell you about a large upcoming story (technically two) that will be released on Chiaki's special day on March 14th-15th. I hope you look forward to it!

C: …But if I practice, then maybe-

H: You're not fighting him!
