I love this pairing so much! As usual, I don't known any of the rights to EXU or Critical Role. Enjoy!

Dariax had never really known what it was like to long for something. All his life, he had followed wherever the wind had taken him; never staying in one place for long and never wanting to. He had enjoyed that freedom of nothing- no one, friends, families, or anything- tying him down to any particular time or place. Then, he met Dorian. From the moment he had laid eyes on him, Dariax had felt a sudden and deep connection to him like nothing he had ever felt before. He wanted nothing more than to hold him close and protect him from all the worldly harm. He was clearly not as used to the wilds as Dariax was; although he seemed to be trying his hardest to hide it. Dariax could tell that Dorian was accustomed to a far more comfortable lifestyle. He often found himself wondering about Dorian's past, something he seemed to be keeping very close to his chest, and what he was leaving behind to be with these people- to be with him- on this altogether bizarre adventure. He was sure they would have to part ways eventually and that the Crown Keepers would not hold him forever. Dorian himself was bound to a greater fate, Dariax could feel it. But, for now at least, he could sleep calmly with Dorian's back pressed against his own, the warmth of their bodies allowing him to breathe a little lighter than before. He smiled, leaning further back into Dorian's touch. And, unbeknownst to him, Dorian smiled too.
