A/N: Writing Lewis gives me the heebie jeebies.
"Back so soon?" Lewis asked as Olivia stepped back into the interrogation room. He'd been reclining in his chair, hands clasped behind his head.
What she wouldn't give to go behind him and kick the legs out and watch him sprawl to the floor.
"Yeah," she said. "We shouldn't have any more surprises."
"Oh, I'm full of surprises, sweetheart," Lewis said. "You know, some girls might think you're actually the luckiest woman in the city."
"And why is that?" Olivia asked, refusing to sit down this time, and instead chose to pace the room.
"Well, I have to say, I could probably make all your dreams come true," Lewis said.
"And what do you know about my dreams?" Olivia asked, leaning against the two-way mirror.
"Plenty," Lewis said. "First off, I don't see a ring on that finger."
Olivia shoved her hands in her pockets.
"So first off, you probably want a nice house husband, right," Lewis said. "I mean picture you and me, a rustic little hunting lodge, maybe a cabin. No, no, a beach house. You know, I'm actually an excellent hunter, so my latest kill would roasting on the fire."
Was that a confession? Olivia thought about lobbing another question at him, but Lewis continued on his own.
"You'd get home from a long day here, dealing with criminals," he said. "And then it'll be playtime."
"You know," Olivia said. "I'm often too tired to do much of anything when I get home from work."
"Oh, but not if we were together," Lewis said. "We could go at it all night. Rough, just the way you like it. And you'd feel so good. I could fill you up, get your belly nice and swollen with a bunch of little boys, just like me."
Olivia wasn't sure if he was trying to make her sick or not, but the idea of having his child inside of her was doing just that.
"As fun as that all sounds," Olivia said. "I think there'd be a problem with that situation."
"What?" Lewis asked, his face finally going slack for a second, that disgusting grin falling off.
"You see your other victims they were scared, helpless," Olivia said. "The woman in the park was disabled. And the other women we've been able to link you to through your M.O. they were older, incapacitated in some way and that makes it easier for you. I don't think you'd be able to get it up for a real woman."
"And you're saying you're a real woman?" Lewis asked.
"Honey, you wouldn't be able to handle me," Olivia said, closing in on his space. "I'm the one in control, always."
No sooner than it disappeared, Lewis' grin was back.
"How's this for control?" he asked. "I want my lawyer."
Olivia felt the steam rising in her ears and she stormed out of the interrogation room to get Lewis his lawyer.
It was a long process, longer than usual, and by the time she got there, next shift was already starting to trickle in. The littly ditzy lawyer, who Olivia thought couldn't have been a day over 25, advised him not to talk, so Olivia got him sent off to do arraignment and whatnot.
When she finally, finally made it back to the squad, she noticed Cragen wasn't in his office.
"Where's Cap?" she asked Jefferies who was at her desk finishing up a report.
"Never came back from earlier," she replied.
"There's no way he's still at 1PP," Olivia said. "Unless something really bad happened. I'm going to go down there and check on him."
"Wouldn't it just be easier to call?" Jefferies asked.
"Something just doesn't feel right," Olivia said. "I'd rather go in person."
Jefferies waved her off as she grabbed her bag and her coat from her desk and went to the subway.
When Olivia arrived at 1PP she made her way to the front desk first.
"Hi, I'm looking for Captain Cragen of the 16th precinct," she said to the receptionist. "He's been here for a meeting all day but we can't seem to get in touch with him."
"He signed out hours ago," the receptionist said, citing the visitor log, pointing to the sign out time on the form.
"Do you know where he went?" Olivia asked.
"Detective Benson," a voice said from behind her and she turned around to see the Chief of D's, McGrath, standing behind her. "Something we can do for you."
"Did you have a meeting with my Captain earlier today?" Olivia asked.
"Your former Captain," McGrath said.
"My what?" Olivia asked.
"Yes, he's been transferred," McGrath said. "I'll be taking over for him at SVU. I was going to wait until tomorrow to tell your team but since you're here, if you'd like to start catching me up to speed on your cases, we can go back up to my office."
No. Nope. No way.
Olivia felt like her ears were ringing.
"What do you mean my former Captian?" Olivia asked. "What did you do with him?"
"He's now the commanding officer at the 3-7," McGrath said.
Oh, Olivia had heard of the 3-7, though she'd never been there in person. Cragen didn't belong at a precinct like that. It was a complete waste of his talent.
"And why is he there, exactly?" Olivia asked.
"Well, thanks to you, of course," McGrath said. "That stunt you pulled with your brother was right under his nose. And he did nothing about it. If he's going to run his ship like a clown, he can run it where things are already going south."
The nervous pit in Olivia's stomach just got bigger. Cragan essentially got a demotion and it was all her fault.
"I need to see him," Olivia said.
"Well, he's probably over at the 3-7 getting acclimated to his new team," McGrath said. "That's where I sent him after our meeting."
"Perfect," Olivia said. "You can drive."
"Benson I'm not taking you…" McGrath started and she cut him off.
"Yes, you are," Olivia said. "I need you to take me to Cragen and the 3-7 right now."
McGrath sighed and rolled his eyes before taking his car keys from his coat pocket.
